The newly formed National Party celebrated its first election victories after picking up nine seats in the recent election, all in the isolationist leaning province of Doron Akigo. The former capital province of Deltaria shares borders with the hostile Jelbanian state and was considered to be at high risk of attack until the former Deltarian Liberal Movement's plan to shift the nation's capital. In a statement released today, the leader of the Nationals, Mr. Richard Campbell, expressed his belief in these factors as a major part of his election.
"The Nationals do not hold the massive budgets of our forum opposition. We do not have the shock tactics or headline grabbing nonsense that lies at the core of other groups such as the newly formed Illuminati menace. What we do have, as a party, is a common sense approach to recognising and defending the grandness that is the Federal Republic of Deltaria. We carry a torch high for this nation of ours, and its place of priority above all other concerns."
When questioned about his party's hostile denouncement of the Illuminati group, Mr. Campbell launched into a ferocious attack,
"What this group seeks to do, what they want more than anything else in the world, is to come into our society - to look at the culture and heritage that we have built together over so many centuries, and disregard it. What we, of all political persuasions and convictions have developed, they seek to tear down on a whim. Why? They feel that they can control us, they feel that they know what's best. Trust me - they don't.
Continuing on, the new forum member added this startling allegation to his statement,
"I wouldn't be surprised if this new group is a wing of the Majatran Union, a look into what they really are, and what they are really trying to achieve. Sure they may deny it - but when you put the pieces together - both these groups need to control and alter culture at will tells quite a story of collaboration.
