New "Tourism Strip" opens in Branovice
On the coast of Alazinder at the capital of Branovice a new "Tourist Strip" has been opened

Cahtice: The sun burns on several of the newly opened beaches. Waiters run around on the sand and boulevard handing out free drinks for the grand opening. The mayor of Branovice, Eugen Kráľ, stands on a podium in the middle of the new boulevard. He picks up his microphone and starts talking.

We are here today to open the new Tourism Strip. This strip will be a major boost to our local tourism sector and allow our local bussiness owners to sell more of their products. Furthermore the increase of tourist activity could pathe the way for future investments in our city, and maybe even in our entire region. I am thankfull for the Federal government in investing into this project but i am also thankfull for our local entrepeneurs who have been extremely involved in the process of designing and constructing this new strip. Let us all feast! I open the Branovice tourist strip!

The crowd cheers and people start flooding the new beaches and boulevard. This strip was the idea of local bussinessmen and tourist companies in an effort to make Branovice more attractive for tourism. Until now they did not have the funds to realize their plans but then the federal government announced their plan to revitalize the tourism sector, reserving billions to improve infrastructure but also better maintain historical sights and invest deeply in the hotel, restaurant and entertainment sectors. After the government launched their plan the local employers federation immediately filed a request for funds, in the end leading to the construction of the tourism strip.

This strip includes new restaurants, clubs, bars but also several new beaches, stores and entertainment centers. Just behind the strip we have realized the construction of 4 new medium sized hotels to make sure that tourists who do come here can enjoy a longer stay. I really see a positive trend towards change here in our region. I think with more investments both private and public and by thinking in possibilities instead of impossibilites we can really develop Branovice and the areas surrounding the Alazinder River into a tourist hotspot

Said Branovicean entrepeneur Eduard Koreň. The federal government is opening up more and more of its funds for local private initiatives, believing that these are the key to growing the tourism sector in Deltaria. Furthermore the Imperial Ministry of Infrastructure has released its reports on infrastructure status last week, showing that increased funds in road maintenance and road construction is improving road conditions quite significantly. The ministry is also working on a new project where, according to early reports, the First Minister himself is deeply involved in. This project is rumoured to be focussing on the air travel sector once again as a way to improve accesibility to Deltaria and therefor increasing the possible tourists that can come to the country.

All accros the nation but namely in Alazinder these local initiatives partially funded by the federal government are popping up, a big sign that the tourism sector is once again growing. In and around Cahtice and the rest of Darali the government has also started with the reconstruction and repairs on historical sights such as castles and historic settlements to boost cultural tourism there. To make sure this is done efficiently and will continue to be done in decades to come the government has created a new government agency named the "Deltarian Agency for Cultural Protection" or (DACP) which will, from this day onward, be tasked with protecting and maintaining cultural sights accross the nation. The DACP has received the cultural part of the funding of the Mnistry of Tourism and Environment and has already started with repair and maintenance efforts in parts of Darali

First darali class attack submarines enter service
The first 3 of a total of 10 Darali class nuclear attack submarines have entered service in the navy

Cahtice: The Deltarian navy was once known for its prowess, being one of the largest navies on terra. For decades this was not the case, as the Deltarian fleet only had a few ships left after the Coalition war that dismantled it. One of the dismantled parts of the navy was the submersible fleet. It was, in the subsequent treaty after the war, completely dismantled. Leaving Deltaria without submarines or underwater assets for over 100 years. Now, with the entry of the DNS Feodor, DNS Alazinder and DNS Dusan, the navy once again possesses submersible assets. The Darali class is considered aging but still highly capable of several different types of operations. The last two years the Ushalande and Alazinder shipyards have been hard at work constructing both the ordered Gorshakov frigates and Darali attack submarines. A total of 10 submarines have been ordered with 3 currently still in construction, the remaining four are scheduled to be produced somewhere at the end of 4768.

It took two years to construct the three vessels, which have after extensive sea trials for the duration of 6 months, now entered service into the navy. It is expected that two of the submarines will conduct their own missions in and possibly outside of the majatran sea while one of the three will be assigned to escort the DNS Mrazek supercarrier together with the rest of the strike group. The remaining ships, both frigates and submarines, currently under construction are expected to be entering service within the next 3 to 4 years, giving the navy a total of 10 nuclear attack submarines and 6 Modern gorshkov class frigates once completed. There is also still an outgoing order from Malivia, which has ordered three older slava class cruisers and a additional 2 gorshkov class frigates. Due to limited production capabilities the UEG is expected to hand the contract over to the lesser known Kakali Maritime Construction company, a privately owned company that operates several small to medium sized shipyards in Dissuwa. it is expected that Kakali will merge two of their medium shipyards and make the necessary changes to them in order to produce the Gorhskov and Slava class warships, making sure that Malivia will get their order on time.

This rather large naval construction effort has put its strain on the shipyards in the country however, with UEG already telling the Ministry of War it will not be able to take more orders for the next 5 years until current construction efforts are completed. This lack of space in Deltaria's shipyards has let some within the ruling KDU party to call for the construction of additional shipyards or the expansion of current ones. The Minister of War, Oto Brotz, has already spoken in front of the senate, saying that Deltaria "

"does not have the financial means to fully focus on ground, naval and air production. The Ministry is currently effectively managing the budget, making sure that we do not overspend but still meet our deadlines. This can only be achieved if we dont overburden ourselves, thus i advice the senate not to pursue additional production orders or expansions and instead await the completion of current construction efforts

Project 1100, a highly important project according to most military officials, is still on schedule as construction has started on its first prototype somewhere in a shielded shipyard in the upper north of Ushalande. According to sources within the ministry "everything is on schedule and current capacity problems in the shipyards are not affecting production on the new destroyer".

First Minister Horak reveals plans for a national airline, Deltarian Airways
The newly revelead airline needs to become the way for tourists to travel from, through or to Deltaria

Cahtice: In a press conference many would describe as being more positive then usual, First Minister Alois Horak and the Minister of Environment and Tourism, Zikmund Rušil, announced the plans for the founding of a new national airline for Deltaria named "Deltarian Airways". This new airline will, according to the proposed plan, be a cooperative effort between the government and the private market, with the government likely owning around 60% of shares in the new airline and other private investors owning the rest. The new airline will have as its core objective the fasciliation of travel to and from Deltaria. Currently Deltaria is reliant on other private and international airlines to bring tourists to Deltaria and get its own citizens outside. The government and its private partners believe that due to the relative central location of Deltaria in majatra, its renewed focus on the tourism sector and the relatively modern Cahtice International Airport Deltaria could likely become the main air travel hub of Majatra, creating a opportunity for such a new airline to thrive.

In order to make sure the airline can get off on its feet the government is said to invest over 5 billion in the next two years for the aquisition of planes, creation of the first direct lines and training of personel. The plan also revealed the plane the airline is likely to use for its first regional flights, the highly used 757. In addition to revealing the creation of the airline the government has also appointed a board of directors and CEO, this will be the only time they shall be appointed after which the airline will be mostly run as a private enterprise. Initial expectations suggest that Deltarian Airways will have to transport at least 10 million passengers a year in its 4th year of existence, a steep goal but one that both private investors and First Minister Horak seem confident about.
The airline will focus its full attention on the regional market, likely setting up regular flights between Cahtice and majatran capitals such as Romula, Wiel and Dokuz and possibly expanding that on other majatran capitals. There also plans for fasciliating flights from Ushalande International, something that is not possible as of now due to Ushalande International's limited size.

Deltarian Airways (Delta) is starting its search for a small fleet of 757 planes somewhere this year, after which it will actively start preparing for its first flights. Cargo flights are also a possibility but will be something Delta wont offer at first. The airline will officially be based at the Cahtice International Airport.

Federal Space Agency (FKA) reveals plans for deep space probe
Newly appointed FKA director Drahoslav Tureček announced plans for the first new space mission of the agency in over 150 years

Cahtice: The Federal Space Agency (Daralian: Federální Kosmická Agentura) was formed under the socialist deltarian regime of the past. For decades it was the leading agency in majatra and leading in terra as a whole. However, in the last 150 years, the agency has decayed to a point it was on the chopping block, likely to be disbanded by the previous administration. Luckily it didnt come to that and the KDU government of Horak has given it one last chance. Let by the newly appointed and young director Drahoslav Tureček the agency has, in recent years, prepared its plan for a return to space. Almost all its previous craft have been destroyed or gone missing, including the military satelite system Deltaria once possessed.

In the newly revealed plan the FKA plans its first mission since 150 years, named "Neptune-1", to be a deep space observation mission. The agency is working together with engineers from the UEG and DDS to develop and construct a new craft capable of such a mission. The craft needs to possess the capabilities to analyse space materials, take extremely high resolution photos, videos and audio recordings as well as being strong enough to withstand some of the challenges space brings to the table. The spacecraft will also have to possess modern radio equipment, capable of communicating with the ground communications of the agency for possibly decades to come. The goal of the mission is analyzing possible unknown space materials as well as researching other aspects of both our own solar system and deep space. To fascilitate the creation of the craft and make sure the FKA does not fall into decay quickly again the Ministry of Finance has pledged a additional 3 billion to the Ministry of Science, who will direct the extra funds to the FKA. The FKA will, according to inside sources, also work with several "trusted" private partners to make sure the mission will proceed.

It is expected that the preparation and construction phase for the mission will last another 5 years. After which the craft will be launched into space and commence its mission.

Deltaria, Malivia and Jakania hold naval exercises at the mouth of the Majatran Sea
Deltaria has send its Nemec carrier strike group to conduct exercises near Cildania and Selucia together with the Malivian and Jakanian navies

Cahtice: The deltarian navy's pride, the DNS Mrazek together with its strike group, set sail for the mouth of the majatran sea near Cildania and Selucia last week to conduct naval exercises with the deltarian allies of Malivia and Jakania. The strike group would rendeyvous with two Malivian frigates as well as two Jakanian cruisers, preparing itself for a 4 day long naval exercise. The exercise, which was ironically dubbed "Operation Majatran Defender" was meant to prepare the participating ships and their crews for a possible hostile engagement near the entry of the Majatran sea, normally guarded by the Majatran Sea Guard. The Mrazek and its strike group took the lead in the exercise, tasked with simulating a battle between itself and both of the Jakanian cruisers. The Malivian ships would support the strike group in providing reconnaissance information. After a day of this exercise, in which sorties of Deltarian SU jets plunged themselves over the Jakanian ships, the next stage of the exercise was conducted. This stage was all about inter navy cooperation and would last the remaining three days. The Strike group taking the lead was tasked with setting up a blockade near the entry of the majatran sea. Using its aircraft to scout the surrounding area and its slava cruisers radar systems for navigation the strike group placed itself strategically near the upper north entrance of the sea as well as the central entrance while coordinating with Jakanian and Malivian ships who placed themselves in between the southern mouth of the sea. While the ships didnt actually block other ships from entry in the exercise the deltarian naval commander of the DNS Mrazek stated that

This exercise shows that Deltaria, together with its allies, can adequately protect the Majatran sea from intrusion by a possible hostile force. And that we are capable of defending the inner shores of majatran nations

After four days both the Deltarian strike group and Malivian/Jakanian ships returned to port, signalling the end of the exercise.

The timing of the exercise is not a coincidence. Just recently Kazulian Newsoutlets reported Kazulian military plans to station a fleet in the majatran sea, possibly endangering majatran security according to Deltaria and its allies. Deltarian ambassador to the WC made it clear that Majatra does not need a kazulian fleet at its doorstep and that "if Kazulia does not want to enter a dialogue and cancel its plans Deltaria and its regional allies will take proportionate action to defend our continent". While the Ministry of War denied rumours of the exercises being used as a message to Kazulia, foreign affairs experts state that it is indeed a message.

Deltaria and other regional powers are making clear that they will not tolerate a Kazulian fleet in the majatran sea. There have been reports of the Deltarian government in high level talks with Kalopia, trying to make them refuse the Kazulian fleet. But this exercise clearly is meant as a message to say "we are out here, and we wont let you in"

The Kazulian fleet has yet to station itself in the Kalopian port. It is unclear when Kazulia plans on entering its fleet in the Majatran sea and how this situation will further develop.

Czar Mikuláš reelected for a second decade as Czar
However, this election was not as descisive as his first as he has had to make a major concession in order to have his second term

Cahtice: It was a rainy day in the Deltarian capital of Cahtice. In the Grand Cathedral of Cahtice, where most official state ceremonies are held, the 4 dukes and duchess were gathered. Just like 10 years ago they were gathered to appoint the next Czar of Deltaria with Mikuláš I currently there as Czar. While in his first election Mikuláš was appointed with overwhelming support this time things didnt go as smoothly. This was the first election after a actual Czarist Decade meaning that there have been events that could influence the election. And this was indeed the case. The Duke of Dissuwa, Péter von Thaller, was convinced by the Duke of Doron Akigo, Vadir of Swaefheard, to vote for Vadir with Vadir promising to work with von Thaller on several key media appearances to give the Thaller family more legitimacy in their region. Maria Alazan, considered a pragmatist, threatened to not vote for Mikuláš and instead abstain from voting, which would cause a regent to take the place of Mikuláš until the next election. She did this as she did not approve of Mikuláš his intervention in Doron Akigo, in which he forced Vadir to not make public statements for the duration of the crisis. Maria saw this as a breach of the code all royals agreed upon, sovereignty in their own regions as long as it abides to the constitution. Mikuláš therefor promised Maria that if she decided to vote for him in this council election he would not seek a third decade as Czar and vote for her next ceremony. With this deal the second decade for Czar Mikuláš was secured as Duke Dušan was guarenteed to vote for his friend Mikuláš. Mikuláš will be 52 at the end of this Czarist Decade.

This election is thus bittersweet for the reelected Czar. While he has secured his second decade as Czar he has done so at great cost. Instead of being able to continue his work after this decade he will be forced to relinquesh his right to run. This election has however caused another powershift. Maria Alazan has shown herself to be influential, despite not being in a big position of power. Her region, Alazinder, has seen a large economic boom following the reemergence of the tourism sector and her popularity amongst everyday Deltarians has steadily risen following her vocal positions on certain social issues. She has even gone as far as to donate approxamitely 4 million DTE to a local charity in Alazinder helping orhpaned children. Maria herself is quite young and considered ambitious. Her move during the Czarist election has placed her in the position to have a viable run for the throne after this decade ends. She will likely use this leverage to further grow her support amongst the people as well as the other royals.

First Minister Horak has personally congratulated the Czar on his reelection after the ceremony and released a statement that he is "excited to continue the great work that we have been doing together for the past 8 years".

Deltarian film producer "Hvězda Productions" releases trailer for nature documentary
A trailer of the Deltarian Hvězda film company has attracted eyes worldwide. Showing of the company's upcoming nature documentary

Cahtice: As Deltarian bussinesses and individual entrepeneurs gain more confidence due to favourable economic conditions the cultural and artistic sector in the country is also experiencing its own little transformation. For the first time in Deltarian history a domestic film company has seen international success with a recent trailer they released on the web. The trailer shows shots from their upcoming documentary "Nature in Depth" a 10 year project the company has worked on. The documentary was a project originally designed by the founders of the film company, Petrov and Zetar, who founded the Hvězda Productions film company. On their own armed with only their camera and a small crew they went accross terra filming nature in its purest form. During the trips they embarked upon the duo encountered many bizare scenes

In Temania we are filming a jungle segment when suddenly, hidden behind a bush, two apes were making love to eachother. First they didnt see us, so we were able to film, but after a minute or two the male ape spotted us and began to shout profound ape words. We decided it was best to leave them to it but it was certainly a experience

Said Petrov. The company released the trailer last week and it has already racked up over 9 million views combined over several platforms from all over the world. The documentary is the debut project of Hvězda Productions (which means Star in Daralian) and is expected to be a rather big success. The documentary will first be aired in several exclusive cinema's accross terra after which it will be put on the web to be streamed through a variety of streaming services. The duo Petrov and Zetar have not yet determined what their next project will be

Zetar mentioned the possibility of doing a porn movie. As it was also part of nature he said. But i talked him out of it. We are still unsure what to do once the documentary is released

Telecommunications company MicroWeb announces expansion of operations in Deltaria and Jakania
The minor company wants to expand operations in order to create a "low cost network" of telecommunications in both countries

Cahtice: The Deltarian based internationally registered company MicroWeb has announced its plans to drastically expand its network capacity in both Jakania and Deltaria. Following the appointment of their new CEO, Vít Ztratil, the company published its yearly report accompanied by a new plan for the future called "Telecommunications in the New Century". The company plans to use this plan as a handbook for future expansion of the company. This expansion strategy is already being worked on by the company, which has until now been a minor player in both Deltaria and abroad. With the released plan the company hopes to change that. The recent public statement stated that "we are planning a expansion of our network in both Deltaria and Jakania." signalling the start of expansion plans. The network, which currently only covers the larger cities in both nations, needs to become strong enough to provide both WiFi and 4G support in most of the two country's, excluding the large mountainranges near the border which, according to the company, are to costly to cover as of now. Besides expanding their wireless network the company will also roll out a media campaign, releasing ads on both TV and the internet to attract new customers with their improved network as well as holding media events for potential customers to come to. The company is also looking to expand Land Line service, especially in rural communities, so that these communities will also be attracted to become a customer of the company.

According to the released financial report the company expects to invest over 9 billion in the new network over the course of the next 10 years, laying down new landlines and placing both data centers and radio towers to fascilitate the growth of the network. The company does not have these financial resources as of yet and has therefor announced several investment rounds. These investment rounds are meant to gather the financial resources needed to fascilitate the expansion plans of the company. After the third round, which is expected to finish within 2 years, the company will look at the possibility of registering themselves at both the Cahtice stockmarket and the Dormuz stockmarket. According to CEO Vít Ztratil:

The company is ready for this next big step. For several years we have mostly served our customers a service in and around major urban centers. We believe our current and future customers want a broader service, provided over most of the country, to stay connected throughout the day.

Ztratil, when asked about service expansion in Istalia, said that MicroWeb has no plans to invest in the expansion of their Istalian network, keeping its current urban center service active there fot the foreseeable future.

Consortium announces construction of first MF-1 prototype
The consortium of Jakanian, Istalian and Deltarian company's working on the MJFP have announced, after several delays in design phase, the construction of the first prototype

Cahtice: For over 4 years the consortium tasked with designing, developing and producing a new multirole fighter under the Majatran Jet Fighter Program have been designing the aircraft dubbed the MF-1. The goal of the design was the creation of a agile, fast and multirole fighter jet that is both cost effective and modern. All these requirements caused the design phase to get delayed by over 2 years, with several problems in need of fixing thrghout the process. The consortium of companies has however announced they are ready to produce the first prototype aircraft of the MJFP. After a long deliberation the consortium decided that the first jet of the program will be constructed in Jakania, near the capital of Dokuz. This decision was made as both Deltaria and Istalia already have extensive experience in aircraft manufacturing and the consortium sees this as a chance to teach the Jakanian company Ulusal Güvenlik how to properly construct the MF-1.

After the construction of the prototype the consortium expects a extensive testing phase to commence, lasting over 2 years. The Deltarian Minister of War, Otto Broz, reactied positively to the decision of the consortium saying that "Jakania is a equall partner in this project and we look forward to hearing their experiences in the construction phase". Construction of the prototype jet is expected to last a full year. Testing will be done by both Jakanian, deltarian and Istalian pilots, with all getting roughly equall time to test the aircraft. After the testing phase the MoD's of all three nations will deliver their recommendations and experiences with the aircraft to the consortium who will then adjust the aircraft based on the requests and make it ready for mass production in all three nations. It is unclear if any orders have been placed by the three nations as of yet and if so how big the orders are. It is expected that this will become public after the testing phase.
