GOVERNMENT CONTINUES MODERNIZATION POLICYThe Deltarian government under leadership of Kamil Novak continues its policy of creating a semi-private economyThe Deltarian government seems to be running on steam. In a quick tempo the government is pushing reform after reform out the door.
After the largest government budget reform in decades passed the surplus was immediately in effect and the first debt to investors has been payed off in recent days.
After investing major funds in the Ministry of Education the effects were immediate. Teachers received a payraise and multiple local governments have requested funds for building new schools with some requests already being approved by the ministry. In addition to this schools are also getting a special fund for the creation of specialized departments within their schools for disabled children or children with mental problems. Teachers will also receive better training and schools will have a broader range of subjects to follow for the children.
The investment in the Health system has however caused some problems. The healthsystem is still entirely private and this has caused some problems in the distribution of the newly available funds. The private hospitals try to all aquire extra funds individually which has caused problems in the distribution. The hospitals also refuse to higher the wages of their doctors and nurses because this would "hurt" the competitiveness of the hospitals according to the hospital directors. The government is preparing legislation to change this however with the coalition leader SDLS writing a law that would create a public health care system alongside a private one.
The current situation in our healthcare system simply does not work. We want to improve the working conditions of our doctors and nurses and improve the quality of our healthcare while also making the availability of the system better by building new hospitals. But the current private healthcare system is standing on the way of all this. We will not propose the total nationalization of our healthcare system but we will, just like our economic policy, aim for a semi-private healthcare system with a public and a private system of hospitals. This way we can let the private sector keep their competitiveness while we can improve the public system with the newly invested funds.
Said Prime Minister Kamil Novák
One of the private hospitals in the Alazinder regionThe government has also proposed a new bill called "For Deltaria". This is yet another economic reform that will stabilize the economy further and modernize the system to go further in the direction of a "modern and well growing state". This reform is expected to pass with the full government voting in favour. With all these reforms Deltaria is well on its way to becoming one of the major economic powers not only in Majatra but also Terra. With the government also looking for better relations with the continent many nations are also becoming wary of the growing power and influence of Deltaria.
As always we will keep an eye on this event and others here on The Deltarian.
