For too long, we have set aside and watched our nation fade away. Rilandor has faded away from the consciences of the world. Our government has become complacent. Our Ministers and Head Executives are almost invisible from the public eye. We need to set our eyes on a new future. An agenda that addresses the needs of the people. I am a single mother, who has been blessed to have the opportunity to lead our party, La Belle Renaissance, to La Convention Nationale. We have until August 5013 to convince and prove to you, the average Rilandais and Rilandaise, that our slate of candidates are the best ones to run our country. La Belle Renaissance is a movement to awaken Rilandor into a nation of prominence and respect. Our party's goals are:

De-Trudeauization, the removal of excessive monuments to Didier Trudeau.
Reenforce our military and defend our borders.
Bring Rilandor back to the Big Boy nations.
Encourage the pursuit of dreams, and provide the means to do so.

Our legislative goals for our first mandate in La Convention Nationale: Rename our nation to "La Republique de Rilandor", choose for a new flag, and Constitutional Reforms. I hope you will support our movement in the next elections.

Who is Alice Bouton and what is La Belle Renaissance?

It's easiest to start with the face of the movement Ms. Alice Bouton, former Mayor of Trudeau. Bouton is forty-four years old. Before she was Mayor, she was a teacher. She ran on the promise of a referendum on the city of Trudeau's name. When she got elected, she strong-armed her fellow councilors, and even the mayor, to get this referendum passed and done. In 4991, Bouton got her wish when the city voted 56 to 44, yes and now the proposal will be brought to the new Senat Republicain. Once it passes there, the city will be renamed, Fontaine, as it was 233 years ago. She said she found the personality cult around the modern founding father took away from the point of government, "We elect our government. We don't elect this centries old personality cult."

She served in the City Council until 4993. She resigned to run for Mayor during the special election held after the sudden death of Mayor Marie Paul. She won the election out of a list of 4 candidates. She left the Mayor's seat in 5000, declining the opportunity to run again to run for a fourth mandate. She was a populist champion. During her tenure, a funny video of her caught in a hot mic moment, while listening to a federal government official mention Trudeau while speaking about water quality. She mumbled to herself, "Tabernak, meme ici?" (Fuck, even here?). When she realized her microphone caught her saying that, she looked into the crowd embarrassed. She said, "Sorry, you heard that" but she didn't apologize for disrespecting Trudeau.

Since she left the Mayor's office, she took advantage of her newfound fame and influence to collaborate with other activists across Rilandor. This collaboration then set up the infrastructure for La Belle Renaissance, known as "Les Belles" for short. In her tours around Rilandor, she met prominent activist Josephine LeBlanc from Meroix, who is now her candidate for head of government.

She did all of this while caring for her child Jean, as a single mother. He is now 14 and is not seen in public often. She has told the press in the past she doesn't want her child published in the media at such a young age. Her ex-husband and father of her child, Nicolas DuPont is a prominent member of the city council of Trudeau. When pressed by the tabloids for any harsh bad things she could say about Bouton, he told them nothing but good things. "If she runs Rilandor, like she runs her family, we'll be in good hands."

Q: What would you say is your biggest accomplishment so far, in the last few months?
A: I'm pretty proud to have introduced this bill to the Convention National. Now, we will watch our nation fundamentally change. No longer will we spend our time talking about some Canrille man saved who Democracy. Instead, we will celebrate our Republican Values and celebrate everyone who makes up our nation. This is just one piece of a list of proposals on the table. All of them are to reorientate our nation towards the future. It is with that we can be a strong nation. That's why we are passing The Republic Act. A change in our governmental makeup is necessary to our reorientation."

Q: A lot of people are saying that there isn't a need to change the national anthem and the flag. This "symbolism" is simply a distraction from your lack of platform.
A: Our flag and national anthems are relics from past times and we need to orient ourselves towards the future. The lyrics are by one of our nation's most cherished young poets, Bertrand Dion. His poem "Cher Rilandor" has been shared all over the internet. When composers at l'Opera National put music to it, there was a grassroots movement of people all over the country who asked for this to be our national anthem. I heard the call of my nation and so I support changing the national anthem. Our flag is three strips and the fleur-de-lis, to represent our Canrille origins. The purple stands for the flowers and the sea. The green represents our plains. And the blue represents our clear skies.




Q: Your party brought to the legislature an act that would allow nuclear weapons to be developed and stored in the nation. While it is expected the you would come in with a bang, do you think that is rash? How soon do you think we can get a working nuclear weapon?
A: Well, It is very interesting that you mention that. It is part of our "Big Boy Plan." We take part in the affairs of the world. In order to do so, and we need to arm ourselves with the best weapons possible. Other nations have them, we need to catch up. As for a timeframe, you will need to refer to the Defense Ministry. But our nuclear program will not be mainly for warfare. Instead, it will mainly be used for civilian use; mainly energy.

Q: I feel that your party walked into the legislature and had a plan to tear down the little decency we have as a moral nation. Legalization of prostitution? Such an idea makes me sick.
A: Madam, this is already happening. In scary alleyways and hotel rooms, men and women sell themselves. I agree with you, that those forced need to be saved and cared for. Both from harm and fear. That is why we need a legal system where sex works receive licenses and would be tested frequently. I hate to say it, but if someone is going to go lay with a sex worker, they should not have to worry about getting anything. They probably have other things to worry about.

Action Rildanor sweeps election
December, 5086

Tiralle, Tiralouse - In a stunning sweep of the December, 5086 national elections the pro-Canrillaise, Republican Action Rildanor won all 151 seats in the Senate. Immediately following the election, leader of AR, Léopold Thévenet, was sworn in as Prime Minister. Action Rildanor ran on a platform of establishing a parliamentary republic compared to the semi-presidential system and immediately called for a constitutional council to be held; a move the Senate supported and adopted the proposed Constitution of the Rildanor Republic. Thévenet was named as the new Prime Minister of the Rildanor Republic and endowed with the powers of head of state and head of government. Thévenet announced that elections for the new National Assembly would be held when the constitution had been finished being reviewed by every member of the Senate.

Thévenet, a political organizer from the island of Meroix, stepped into the limelight in September, 5086 when he announced the formation of Action Rildanor. Thévenet, the President of the Jacquard Society (OOC: Huguenot), an influential Jacquard leader, became an immediate sensation in the nation and over the course of three months he garnered impressive and domestic and some international stardom. He promised a restoration of basic services to the Rildanorian people, a return to good economic times and focused on regional matters which impact the economy of Rildanor. While a support of pro-Canrillaise efforts, he's a noted Republican and has stated that he'd likely want some sort of association with other Canrillaise states versus adhering to the traditional method of joining the "Empire" though he did not entirely rule it out.

Subsequent to the election, Thévenet announced Tiralle would be returned as the national capital, due to its sheer size, economic importance and cultural significance. The new Prime Minister would also announce that Jean-Jacques Rouzet would become the Secretary of State for Canrillaise Affairs. Rouzet is an economist at the National Institute of Economics (OOC: Institut national d'économie ), one of the most prominent economic institutions in Rilandor. Rouzet will be charged with spearheading efforts between Rildanor and Canrillaise states.

Prime Minister condemns violence in Lourenne
January 5090

Tiralle, Tiralouse - Prime Minister Léopold Thévenet called for tensions to calm as Lourenne, perhaps the most premier leader of the Canrillaise people and home to the Canrillaise monarchy has descended into civil conflict. A significant number of royals, politicians and those who remain loyal to the crown continue to flee to Rildanor with a special status granted to them via the Ministry of Canrillaise and Foreign Affairs. PM Thévenet has noted that while Rildanor does not support turning Rildanor into a monarchy with the Lourennais royal family at its head, he notes that they are an influential presence in the Canrillaise people's lives and should be respected. The outbreak of protests and rallies against the new "Republic of Lourenne" started shortly after the election of the National Republican Party and the subsequent constitutional shift. While Thévenet welcomed the democratic will of the people, he noted that such a sudden shift in governments could cause a number of issues and chided the PRN for their lack of conversation with the wider political establishment in Lourenne. "When a people elect new parties and new political organizations, they should not radically shift the government but gradually. The cultural shock is the cause for outbreak of conflict in Lourenne as we speak. Rildanor stands with the Canrillaise people in Lourenne and we offer our assistance to the people at this time."

Minister of Armed Forces Arsène Mazet has noted that the Committee for National Defense (Canrillaise: Comité de la défense nationale; CDN) has regularly met to discuss the conflict in Lourenne and has offered its assistance to the Lourennais Royal Army. Mazet has also noted that following recent events in Kanjor that most of the defense companies in Kanjor have moved to the island of Meroix in Rildanor. A move that has the sponsorship of the Rildanor government as a whole. Thévenet has welcomed them with open arms and has cited that Rildanor will become the "arsenal of Canrillaise nations" following the hasty move to Rildanor in the wake of radical, violent actions in Kanjor.

Minister of the Armed Forces Arsène Mazet re-organizes defense industry

Meroix - Minister of the Armed Forces Arsène Mazet has announced a wide-scale reform of the defense industry in Rildanor and largely the Canrillaise nations. In a series of meetings in the city of Meroix, Mazet held meetings with numerous defense officials and representatives to come to the so-called "Meroix Agreement". Underneath the agreement and consolidation efforts, Canrillaise Defense Enterprises (Canrillaise: Entreprises canrillaises de défense) which encompasses Canrillaise Land Systems, Canrillaise Naval Systems and Canrillaise Air Systems will have Lourennian Land Systems, a component of Artanian Defense Group merge into Canrillaise Land Systems and ADG will be purchasing a 25% stake in the entire company. ECD already began migrating operations to the island of Meroix. Dimont Aviation, a prominent manufacturer of fighter aircraft will continue to operate independently, a portion of Dimont is owned by Artanian Defense Group and they have opened a new factory on Meroix in addition to preexisting factories throughout Rildanor. Prominent civilian and military shipbuilder Capet-Fouquet Industries will develop new facilities at the new port of Marzieu, a port that was expanded to meet expected global trade obligations.

A number of Kanjorian defense companies, notably Kanjorian Defense Equipment and Supply Group re-organized and dropped the "Kanjorian" component of its name and became solely Defense Equipment and Supply Group (Canrillaise: Groupe d'équipement et d'approvisionnement de défense); Kanjorian Aeronautics was acquired by Dimont Aviation and wholly absorbed into the company. Kanjorian Defense Electronics Group dropped "Kanjorian" from its name and became Defense Electronics Group (Canrillaise: Groupe d'électronique de défense). Defense Enterprises, a manufacturer of small arms and other basic military equipment and partially owned by Artanian Defense Group, will continue to maintain.

Revolution by the Ballot - CdT swoops into power

After decades of stagnation, the elections of 5105 proved a turning point in our nation's history. The recently founded anarcho-syndicalist Confédération des Travailleurs swept the election with virtually no opposition and, within mere months, we found our nation being reorganized along anarcho-syndicalist lines.

A new constitution was adopted, formally banning the creation of political parties in the country, and promoting local democracy through trade unions.

While the CdT has much of its manifesto left to implement, many people breathe a sigh of relief as the stagnation of the past decades seems to be over. The CdT have promised an increase in people's standard of living, an increase in democratic participation, a broad expansion of civil rights and an overhaul of our economic system, which in the past benefited only those at the top.

We invite our readers to support this endeavor, and to keep an eye out for those who would seek to undo the democratic will of the people.

MILITARY COUP IN RILDANOR

News has come out from Tiralle, the capital of the Rildanorian Commune, of a military coup by Marshal Renaud Chardin. Chardin has announced the suspension of the constitution, and other laws passed by the syndicalist regime and, the General Labor Council has also been dissolved. But the coup wasn't without its problems with reports of fighting pouring from the entire country. Martial law has been declared in major cities, and dozens of syndicalist officials are being arrested throughout the nation. Both presidents of the National Labor Council and the Committee for Public Safety have reportedly been killed during the fighting.

Marshal Chardin has already presented a plan known as the March Programme. One of the key points is the replacement of the General Labor Council with the National Administration Committee. This new committee will be composed of 75 members of the non-syndicalist elite, and the President of the NAC will be the head of government. Meanwhile, Chardin himself will retain the position of President-Marshal, an unelected head of state for life. The programme will also repeal the syndicalist constitution, the Law on the preservation of political unity, which had restricted political freedoms, and the Law on the radicalization of the economy, which restricts economic freedoms. It will also restore the country as the Republic of Rildanor.

The coup itself has quite unexpectedly ended the 70 years old the syndicalist regime. Despite being relatively stable, towards the end cracks were showing with the split between the General Labor Council, the national legislature, and the Committee of Public Safety, the national government. An important factor was the army, which has been increasingly less loyal to the Committee of Public Safety and less leftist due to frequent and very ineffective purges. Another important factor was the disinterest of the public, which allowed the army to pull off the coup.

RILDANOR LAUNCHES ECONOMIC REFORMS

After Marshal Renaud Chardin's military coup in Rildanor, the country's economy is undergoing significant reforms aimed at reviving key sectors and attracting foreign investments. The previous syndicalist regime's restrictions on economic freedoms have been lifted, and the government is working to create a more open and competitive market for businesses, with a focus on specific sectors such as tech and manufacturing.

Companies like ElginTech, Aerolite Industries, RilBox, Tadacraft, and Phoenix Robotics are set to benefit from tax breaks and streamlined regulations to boost their operations in Rildanor. The National Administration Committee has set up a program to help small businesses with funding and training, while also working to reduce corruption inherited from the previous regime.

The government has also decided to open lithium mines in the southern part of the country to attract foreign investors and generate employment opportunities. The government's basic income program aims to provide a small but consistent source of income to those in need, helping those most affected by the instability caused by the coup.

As part of further reforms, the corporation tax will be lowered to attract foreign investments to the country, leading to the creation of new jobs and an increase in economic growth. The government's efforts to encourage investment are already bearing fruit, with companies like Aerolite Industries and ElginTech expanding their operations in Rildanor, while startups like Phoenix Robotics have become major players in the robotics industry.



Despite the challenges faced by the Rildanorian economy, the government's continued reforms and support from the international community have led to steady growth. MODERNISATION OF THE RILDANORIAN ARMY

President-Marshal of Rildanor, Renaud Chardin, has announced that a series of army reforms will be carried out to modernize the army. He has stressed the importance of a strong Rildanorian Army which can protect Rildanor from both external and internal threats. A strong army will help hunt down the remnants of the syndicalist regime and will deter foreign opportunists.

Under the syndicalist regime, the Armed Forces of Rildanor were unmaintained. Due to the loyalty of armed forces to the General Labor Council, the former legislature, the Committee of Public Safety, and the former government have frequently committed purges in the army. This caused several generals to flee in exile.
Due to a lack of budget, large portions of equipment are now severely outdated and both soldiers and officers are untrained.

As part of the reforms command structure was reformed with increased reliance on soldiers' initiative and high-quality logistics. Other changes include a purge of syndicalist generals and depoliticization of the army.
Armed forces will domestically acquire more modern arms from companies such as Canrillaise Defense Enterprises but will also attempt to negotiate arms purchases with foreign nations. The main focus will be to ensure that every unit has enough equipment. To ensure proper training government will hire foreign experts and organize large-scale exercises.

Such army modernization will help Rildanor stabilize as a strong army will be more effective against syndicalist rebels and will be able to deter foreign intervention. However, modernisation will not be without problems, as the junta government needs to balance its budget to ensure that modernization doesn't overtake other priorities such as ensuring basic necessities. Other problems include corruption inherited from the syndicalist regime or resistance from various civilian groups.

In conclusion, army modernisation will be generally positive for Rildanor, but the junta must ensure that basic necessities are provided to citizens and ensure a working and stable economy, before radically enlarging and reforming army.
