President Vermaelen inducts François Xing in nomination contestARLOUX - As his second term comes to an end in a few months, the President of the Trudeauist Republic of Rildanor has agreed to share some of his impressions with us in an exclusive interview. Whoever will not be able to be a candidate for his own succession has agreed to discuss his record at the head of the country, his projects and his succession ...
The next general election will bring a new president to power. Now is the time for Nicolas Vermaelen to speak of his work in the highest office of the state. And on this point, it is clear: "I think we have done a good job in governing our country". But the president goes on to pay homage to the RRR, which has not yet convinced voters since its creation: "I say to you that the first Vermaelen cabinet was the reform cabinet, and these reforms would not have been possible with the support and proposals of the RRR (…) Of course none of this would have been possible without the RRR, without them our Republic would not exist, the RRR has been a great ally with respect to reforms and has been crucial in the construction of the Trudeauist Republic of Rildanor, I at least think that the RRR has been one of the best allies with respect to many things and we have to thank them for this ”. These remarks respond to the concerns of a significant part of the members of the RRR, worried by the changes in the leadership of their party and the consequences it could have on relations with the NPP. But Nicolas Vermaelen warns: "Now we hope that the next government will continue with the ideology of progress and the search for a greater good for all". Conservatives and Liberals have been warned.
"I will start to be part of the Didier Trudeau Foundation as its national director"President Vermaelen then indicates to us the priorities which animated his two mandates: "In the current government we had to face the situation of Luthori and expand our international diplomatic network, of course we continue working for Rildanor, we support the proposal of state representation and others that seek progress nationally, and we want Rildanor to go forward ”. These are indeed international events in general and at Luthori in particular which have mobilized the executive power. But the rapprochement with Kundrati was one of the strong topical subjects of the second term and Vermaelen explains this choice of merger: “I can say that our approach to Kundrati, is because it is always good to have allied and friendly nations, internationalism was always part of Rildanor even in the time of Charpentier, and this must be maintained ”.
This is the opportunity for the Head of State to discuss his future and respond to the rumors that send him to the heart of the Council created by the treaty ratified by the two countries: "I don't think I will be part of the Kundrati-Rildanor Binational Council less to preside it, I say this because after I leave the presidency I will start to be part of the Didier Trudeau Foundation as its national director, now I heard that both Nicholas Raymond and Noëlle Gérin could be part of the Council, although I am not sure which one will go to the Council, but whoever goes I am sure that they will preside it ”. It is therefore a Rildanorian who should chair the next Kundrati / Rildanor Binational Council.
“I believe that we will also have to create companies or state institutes that will be in charge of (…) public transportation and the national health system”If Nicolas Vermaelen cannot be a candidate for the presidency, he had a good idea of what should be done over the next few years to continue the development of Rildanor: "I would say that the one or two institutions that could be reformed to adapt to our Republic, I believe that we will have to reform the National Tax Service or create a new one for our Republican system. I believe that we will also have to create companies or state institutes that will be in charge of different institutions such as public transportation and the national health system. These already existed as Government Delegations between 4740 and 4820, but they were dissolved, what I mean is that these companies or institutes could exist and be part of their respective ministries ”.
Finally, concerning the 10 million votes lost by the NPP during the last general election, the President kicks in, explaining it by an increase in abstention: "I always say that you have to be prepared for any event, the loss of votes is normal in instances of abstention, which is what happened last election, although there was a satisfactory turnout, there was a decrease in the turnout of 13.72% according to data from the National Election Center, although it is believed that it is a low number in itself, for Rildanor is the highest abstention of voters since 4841 ”. Vermaelen does not appear to relate government policy to this increase in abstention and believes that the next election will see an increase in turnout. From this perspective, when it is necessary to designate the most competent person of the NPP to succeed him, the president does not hesitate: "François Xing is the one, he is one of the pre-candidates in the NPP primary and he has a good trajectory as a National Conventionist. Xing will continue our platform for progress ”. However, the president does not hesitate to evoke the subjects which anger and pinpoints his party as such: "Now that I mention the primary elections, I hope that they are not a disaster like the previous one, in the first round there was a good turnout and in the second round, states like Montpellier only amassed 189,227 votes which was very disappointing knowing that in the first round in that same state there were 4,593,239 votes, it was the lack of convocation that led to the very low results in the second round in Montpellier ”.
At the end of this interview, we can say that Nicolas Vermaelen seems satisfied with the work accomplished and has already prepared his release with a light heart and without bitterness. It is certain that he was the guarantor of the unity of the Republic and that his successor, in addition to having to meet the many challenges of economic and social development, should be the symbol of the continuity of this unity.
