Party of National Salvation Rises to Power
Party of National Salvation Rises to Power.
23 April 4474.

This Morning marks the end of era for Beiteynu's Republic as the openly fascist Party of National Salvation won the 4474 general election largely uncontested. The party's leader, David Rosenthal has pledged to uphold an atomosphere of civility as he seeks to restore national pride and a faltering economy. For now all is well.

Katom Party Dominates National Elections. Eliyakim Ben Dovid Claims Monarchy Over Beiteynu.
The Rabbinate Welcomes Results.
Jan 4485.

With all the votes counted, Beis Katom has officially won an unanimous majority in the renewed Knesset of Beiteynu. This is a historical victory for the party that was in exile only a mere 2 years ago. Thanks to public excitement, it was easy for the exiled party to quickly resume their old infrastructure dominance. King Eliyakim ben Dovid, together with his chosen Prime Minister, Avraham Meyer, have promised an era of restoration for the Yeudish State, and has moved to claim the monarchy in, what he called in a moving speech, a "great coup against incompetent tyranny!" This political shakeup comes in the middle of a great economic downturn, which has put a lot of public blame on the failures of the Rosenthal government. The new King has promised greater economic benefits to the lower classes, to stabilize the nation's economic situation.

The government-in-waiting has also prioritized tourism, and with public endorsement from King Eliyakim ben Dovid, announces the extension and relaxation of visa requirements for Hosian and Yeudish pilgrimages for religious reasons. This also comes with endorsement from the Chief Rabbinate, who still expresses skepticism of the idea.

"It is not a Yeudish custom to entertain the ideological failures of other religions. However, we do endorse the new King wholeheartedly, and for now, we will trust his plan on this matter. We do urge reconsideration in the future, after we have seen the results of his plans."

In his speech, King E. Dovid reiterated his religious and populist message, while promising reform and better bureacracy to address the rampant poverty in the nation.

Yeudi Homeland claims electoral victory
June 4786

Yishelem - On a warm summer day many Yeudi's went to the polls to vote for a new government, the first true government in several decades. The newly formed Yeudi Homeland party lead by a now former Professor of Political Science from the University of Yishelem's prestigious Rivkin Institute of International Affairs claimed victory. Serving on an interim basis, the leader of the Yeudi Homeland, Elrad Machuv, proclaimed himself as the "Acting Head of State" of Beiteynu. The position is technically held by the now long gone "Chief Rabbinate Shlomo Teittleman", the election for the acting Knesset, or Assembly in Yeudi, prompted the election of 300 members of the Knesset all from the Yeudi Homeland party. Acting head of state Machuv promised to re-establish "law and order" within Beiteynu following years of economic decline, political and moral corruption and the "...loss of true Yeudi values." The acting Knesset appointed an "interim" government lead by the deputy leader of the Yeudi Homeland party, the "Acting Prime Minister of the State of Beiteynu" will be Jurre Halevi, a long time friend of Machuv and Vice President of the Heretz Assistance Organization, a Yeudi NGO that assists Yeudis across the world. Information regarding the foreign policy stance of Beiteynu, the economic plans or scope of the Yeudi Homeland's plans have yet to be revealed. Incoming Minister of Foreign Affairs Mike Mandebaum noted that he sought "...positive, cordial relations with fellow Majatran nations..." and "...believes that Majatra at this point in time can more united than ever with its current leadership across the continent." According to Ministry officials the government is reviewing a wide-scale overhaul of the nations diplomatic personnel and its diplomatic corps.

The Future? Amended tax code, outward facing foreign policy.
August 4786

Yishelem - Minister of Finance and the Economy Venamin Steiner announced a radical overhaul to the Beiteynu Tax Code. Members of the acting Knesset approved measures to ease the "economic bleed" in Beiteynu by modifying the Beiteynu Tax Code, the implementation of a 25% tax on all earners over 5,000 BEI reduced taxes from the highest percentage which was previously 45% and provided a number of economic relief measures to low-income Yeudi's. In a hearing before the Economic and Budget Affairs Committee the Minister noted that the measures were "temporary" and that he was eager to rebuild the economy of Beiteynu. The Minister was notably eager around a robust technology sector and building a "knowledge-based economy" in which Beiteynu serves as an epicenter of technology. The Minister cited the increased space races among various countries, the increased interest in space and generally the interest in expanding technologies across the globe, he also mentioned that Beiteynu was eager to expand its few sectors where manufacturing was prominent especially in pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and hinted that a renewed defense industry could provide Beiteynu with the boost that it would need provide for its citizens.

The Minister noted however that the shift from economic "ruin" would take significant time and would take significant investment both domestically and internationally, he echoed the Minister of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs' calls for building ties with local economies and the wider international economy. Beiteynu has long been out of regional politics and while it does seek a return, it is hesitant largely due to its relative seclusion. Steiner made mention that him, the Foreign and Diaspora Minister and the Minister of of Trade, Industry and Regional Cooperation had met regularly over the past two months to discuss what the future of Yeudi foreign and economic affairs might look like. Sources within the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs revealed that Beiteynu was contemplating ascension to the Majatran Economic Association (MEA) that could provide a number of benefits such as increased trade, new trading partners and most important access to Majatran markets that Yeudi business' so eagerly desire.

Yishelem: A new government has taken shape in Beiteynu. After a suprising election, with only one party contesting, the new Social Democratic and Big-Tent movement named "Together" has won all seats in parliament. The new party, under leadership of upcoming Prime Minister Saadya Sharett, ran on a platform of Social Democracy and a revival of Beiteynu influence in Majatra and possibly beyond. A centerpiece of Together their program was the revival and hopefull growth of the military industrial sector. Beiteynu has several military design companies registered there and used to be the creator of highly advanced military equipment. Sharett and his new party seem to think that by investing in this sector Beiteynu could make it one of their more profitable sectors, allowing it to grow the economy and strengthen international relations. Despite the fact that the party pledged this in their program they did promise the Beiteynese people that it is their intend on keeping the Armed Forces small. Instead putting effort into further professionalizing the forces and making it a small but highly efficient and modernized Armed Force in the region.

Besides these plans there have already been several progressive reforms passed by the Legislative Assembly which grant greater abortion rights and the right to homosexuality in the military. With Sharett and his Together party now in power many expect a progressive and Social Democratic wave to hit Beiteynu and grant more personal freedoms to its citizens. Regional powers are also eager to see what might happen as Beiteynu is expected to rise from its inactivity and become more involved in regional affairs.

Beiteinu sees rise of new radical Yeudi Party

Image
The leader and founder of BYA, Shmuel Goldenfold

Beiteinu has for long been in political instability. The rise of a new political party, The Beiteinu Yeudi Association (BYA), a radical religious party in favour of Yeudism has been formed and risen to fame in the eyes of the people. The party's founder Shmuel Goldenfold has stated his and the party's wishes of spreading the word of Yeudism to the people. It is still to be seen what the election brings, but the BYA is looking to be the party which will form the next government.

Mr. Goldenfold has also started to campaign in the country for the presidency.

Yeudi Homeland re-founded, wins snap election
February, 5073

Yishelem - Growing concerns for local and regional stability have prompted the Yeudi Homeland political party to reform. Avital Grois, a Yeudish businessman of Narik descent announced he was reforming the Yeudi Homeland party in the wake of the Ultra orthodox collapse of the previous government. Grois called upon the caretaker government to hold elections and after 4 days of rallies, totaling nearly 1 million Yeudi’s from across Beitenyu, they did. Grois’ party was the sole party to register and quickly assumed power following the February 2nd election, Grois proclaimed himself the interim Prime Minister of the State of Beitenyu and pushed through a new constitutional reform act through the Knesset.

A number of major business, technology and military officers found themselves in the company of the new party. In the weeks following the February 5073 election the Yeudi Homeland party slowly began restoring services across the country. The Knesset voted to approve the “New Economy Reform Act” and the “Defense Authorization Act”; these acts aim to rectify issues with the current situation in Beitenyu and have focused on enhancing local stability. A new cabinet was appointed, the Prime Minister at its head.

One of the more important elements was the revival of the Beitenyu Defense Forces, the BDF. Grois appointed veteran officer Ranon Mazar, a former Beitenyu Ground Forces Brigadier General as the new Minister of Defense. Enshrined within the new Defense Authorization Act is the appointment of the Prime Minister as the Commander-in-Chief of the Beitenyu Defense Force. Mazar has promised to defend Yishelem with his life if necessary. In the same vein, the Prime Minister welcomed cooperation with the wider continent on issues ranging from economics to security. Beitenyu is a member of the Majatran Security Organization.

One of the first decrees of the incoming government was the appointment of long time Majatran-based financier Giannes Mendel as the Permanent Representative to the Majatran Association; he was joined by Roni Adler as the Permanent Representative to the Majatran Security Organizstion. The Yeudi Homeland’s party platform calls for greater cooperation but withholds support for any “…serious attempts at integration on the supranational level.”

PM Grois appoints new Chief of the General Staff
April, 5073

Yishelem - Prime Minister Avital Grois confirmed today that he had appointed Lieutenant General (Yeudi: Rav aluf) Machau Wassermann as the new Chief of the General Staff of the Beiteynu Defense Forces; he will join veteran Brigadier General (ret.) Ranon Mazar as making up the new leadership of the BDF. In his speech before the Knesset where the Prime Minister announced the new Chief of the General Staff, he mentioned that the incoming Chief was keen on the development of a strong industrial base for the BDF and welcomed how it could assist in the development of the economy of the country itself. Wassermann, a Dundorfian-born Yeudi who moved to the homeland when he was 17, joined the BDF as is common and made a professional career out of the BDF serving in the Armored Corps of the Beiteynu Ground Forces; something he has promised to revive as the new Chief of the General Staff. In his speech before the Knesset he promised to appoint key people to the General Staff, notably in the Administration for the Development of Weapons and Technology Industry and the Chief of the Technological and Logistics Directorate to "...get the BDF up to speed." According to reports the incoming Chief has already met with industry leaders from Shachar Defence Industries, Beiteynu Aerospace Industries and Meir Systems to discuss a wide range of operational needs for the BDF as a whole.
