PCA Calls for Formation of Republic
La Nouvelle Tribune
January 4, 3842

PCA Leader and Député from Val-Zanyal Nicolas Chevalier speaks before the Estates General.

In what some political observers call a radical and perhaps premature move, the Parti Conservateur d'Alduria has introduced a bill among others in the Estates General that would transform the current Democratic Kingdom of Alduria into a Republic. The Loi sur la création de la république d'Alduria was introduced to the floor in early January, and Party leaders decided to fast track the bill by skipping debate and immediately putting up the bill to a vote. The bill cannot pass without the support of the ruling Option Citoyenne, and many are skeptical that the bill will succeed.

Party leader Nicolas Chevalier put out a press release stating that "the PCA is committed to fighting for the Aldurian people, and our bill to form a Republic will provide a greater voice for the men and women around our country. Even if the Option Citoyenne decides to support the nobility and aristocrats, the fact that we are bringing this point up for debate shows that we are willing to take the initiative." The bill would replace the current hereditary head of state position with an elected position with the title Président. Another provision in the bill renames the Estates General as the Assemblée Nationale.

The PCA also introduced two other bills: the Deuxième loi sur la réforme administrative (Second law on administrative reform), and the Loi sur la réforme populaire (Law on popular reform). The Deuxième loi sur la réforme administrative raises the age of adulthood from 12 to 18, requires all nationals to register race and religion, and establishes the period of time between elections to 36 months, down from the current 72 month policy. It is currently in debate.

The Loi sur la réforme populaire touches upon numerous provisions found popular by voters, but the PCA included two social conservative provisions at the last minute. Certain PCA députés say that the two provisions will only drive away potential Option Citoyenne support, but proponents, of which there are many, say that the bill would probably have faced stiff opposition by the governing Option Citoyenne regardless. The bill is currently up for a simple up or down vote.

Communist return to Alduria

As of now, Alduria return to communism with Marnady Nadeau-Deslunes

IN a very unusual way, Marnady Nadeau-Deslunes has nationalized all industries and all companies with a close hidden in the budget, by his minister, the capitalists in the nation did not even had time to prepare anything for to respond to the state, All is now in command of the state. Alduria is now declared as a communist state.

- "Let us remember that the greatest time the nation has lived was under communist rules, when we were really free to live how we like, when transsexuals where fully recognized, when woman where equal to men, when patriarchy was declared enemy of the state and when religion has no impact on politics. " _ Marnady Nadeau-Deslunes

Religion formally banned in Alduria

Manon Mulcair-Trudeau, minister of education has declared in public that religion are all frauds, which made many hosians angry, but she did say she will gentle with people of faith and that as long as they keep their faith for themselves, as personnal belief, she is not going to crack on them.

- "Religion is a threat to our society and a terrible tragedy for humanity, it is for the good of all Tera, that we declare that there is no God, and there is no afterlive, All there is you, here and now, and no supra-power can guide our steps, only humanity can guide itself. God does not exist. So, all religious schools will be closed and are illegal, our children have the right to learn and to get an education, not religious non-sense. I want to make it clear, religion is not welcome here, so the Hosian Pope is personna non-grata in Alduria. NOw, if people want to believe in any being, I'm not stopping them, but you are creating your own gods, gods did not create you."

MIlitary spending suffer immense cut while all departement see increase in budget.

with the recent budget, Alduria GDP now surpass 2 000 000 000 000 ALD, government spending now account for 50% of the GDP' while consumption account for 40%, leaving the rest to investments

Many Patriots are protesting the most recents cut to the military in front of the Assemblee national, they believe they will make Alduria very weak, and that the nation is able to afford a good military, with all the taxes they pay.

SANCTIONS, SANCTIONS, SANCTIONS
Choffet to Propose Sanctions for Malivia, Trigunia
Image
President Choffet to propose sanctions in final years of office
Aldur Journal
January, 20, 3888

In response to the upcoming conference on the malivian slave trade and the pending Trigunian blockade of Cildania, sources at the capitol say President Choffet- who has until this point remained largely neutral in foreign policy- is planning to impose sanctions on Malivia and Trigunia for their slave trade and military conquest respectively. At the weekly press conference Choffet stated when asked: "We are waiting on more information before making any decision on the respective cases of Trigunia and Malivia." However the claim, our source in the foreign ministry claim the department has already drafted sanctions for Malivia, including a travel ban and an import ban that experts are calling crippling. No word on a draft of possible Trigunia sanctions, but the general feeling on the Capitol is leaning against Trigunia's favour and strongly against Malivias.

ONE NATION UNDER MORDUSIA?
Think Tank Proposes South Seleyan Union, But Who Gets the Power?
Image
The Aldurian Think Tank 'Union for Unity' has Proposed to Unite South Seleya as a Single Nation
Aldur Herald
Aldur, Alduria
May, 4, 3888

The independent think tank released in a panel discussion earlier this morning a plan to Unite several nations in South Seleya. Spokesman Jon Valbert stated "If the nations of South Seleya formed a common union, we would become the worlds leading super power- both economically and in terms of military. Earlier this year we saw what happened when Alduria and Mordusia joined forces to condemn Trigiunia's actions- they turned their fleet around. South Seleyan nations have a lot of potential thats gone untapped for years and this is just what we need to get our region moving." Already the proposal has gained traction among the people of both Alduria and Mordusia. The Think tank also stated they had reached out to politicians in both Alduria and Mordusia, notably Aldurian President Louis Choffet who's reportedly "Strongly considering the idea" sources said. However those who dissent from the idea claim its just a ploy for expansionist members of the Mordusian government to gain more regional power and influence. Ironically those who dissent in Mordusia make a similar claim about the expansionists in Aldurian government. As Jon Valbert noted "The deal we are currently drafting gives equal power to signatory members and establishes a President or head of state to oversee the hypothetical union. Also we are talking about creating one nation, and while it will be highly decentralized, it will be one nation."

La République
"Arise Alduria sweep elections"

When Marc-Antoine Saunier and long-time friend Augustin Sadoul announced to La République that they would be forming a political party based on the principles of Natanaël Auch it was met with much approval. Natanaël Auch served as a voice of reason during the early period of Alduria underneath the Holy Luthori Empire, while Natanaël Auch did not push for total separation of the Aldurian state from the Holy Luthori Empire his ideals eventually forced it in 2072 when Alduria became independent. Saunier and Sadoul would found "Arise Alduria" as one of the first political parties to focus on the teachings of Auch, which has affectionately became known as "Auchism" and supporters as "Auchist".

Auch's teachings believe in a strong national identity for the Aldurian people, they believe that it is necessary for the state to have a strong executive to be able to carry out it's duties to protect and build the Aldurian people. While not socialist, and generally considered right-wing and by some political commentators "Fascist" the Auchist believe in a strong hand in the national economy to ensure that the Aldurian people remain strong and do not fall prey to foreign corporations. Auchist believe in a foreign policy that enhances Aldurians prestige in the realm of international affairs but does not sacrifice its sovereignty in favor of greater cooperation in the international realm. Auchism does break with its nationalism a little by supporting regional cooperation when its cooperation strengthens the state itself and the position of the Aldurian people.

The Interim Aldurian Government lead by President Thibaud Laframboise and Prime Minister Jean-Paul Gaubert organized elections as soon as Arise Alduria was formally organized. Saunier and Sadoul, knowing full well that they would effectively create a one-party state did not stop Laframboise and Gaubert who ruled in a sort of "national unity" government after the collapse of the Socialist. Arise Alduria would capture all 750 seats in the People's Chamber and immediately set out to reform the organization of the Aldurian Democratic Republic. As the People's Chamber formed underneath the newly elected President Saunier and Sadoul appointed as "Interim Prime Minister" the People's Chamber began drafting a new constitution where Saunier would become "Chief of State" and become a fully Presidential-like system though significantly more centralized.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Matthieu Passereau was tasked with rebuilding ties with the Seleyan Union and seeking out new allies for the rebuilding Aldurian state. Within hours the government called on the Ministry of Defense to begin the process of reforming the Aldurian military and seeking what capabilities it needs to properly defend itself domestically and abroad. Arise Alduria and the leadership team of Saunier-Sadoul will be a breath of fresh air for Alduria, a nation that has been stagnant for decades it feels.

Parti Conservateur de Aldurie Conference 4001

Today was the first annual conference of the Conservative Party of Alduria. The event was attending by all the high ranking members of the party along with a large number of news reporters.

The highlight of the event was the speech given by Party leader and Premier candidate Clementine Desaulniers. She outlined the goals of the party and reflected on the recent swelling in numbers after the party's first election experience.

'The fact is when we went into the election we were only a month old, so we never expected anything special. Now with the party lobbying the government to push new bills we have received national attention. We don't expect to be the biggest party around but we stand a reasonable chance of gaining enough seats to look like a strong coalition partner, whether that coalition be with one, two or even three other parties. We are hopeful that our voice will be heard when making laws in the next session of the National Assembly.'

When asked about which parties she would consider supporting in a coalition she had this to say. 'There is no guarantee that we will even be included in a government but I can assure you we are taking notes of who look like potential political allies over the next few years.'

New Liberal Party of Alduria

The Conservative Party of Alduria today announced it was rebranding itself as the New Liberal Party. This was a result of the collapse of the old Liberal party.
The Conservative leadership say that despite the rebrand there will be no change in policy, the rebranding decision was made to differentiate the party from the other centre right parties.
As well as a name change the party abandoned the association with royal purple with a move to brilliant orange.

Condemnation of Luthori Falanges Draws Two Nations, and Many Parties, Together
June 4055
Image
Above: Démocrates de Gauche Chairman Étienne duPerrier goes on the record in his office in Aldur, June 3

The Luthorian Falanges Party, a group noted for anti-yeudism, xenophobia, racism, and hate crimes has drawn great controversy during the past year, and has created a great amount of discord and fear in the political discourse of Alduria's ally and historic tie, Luthori.

Given the propensity for movements, goods, and ideas to travel between the Aldurian Republic and the Holy Luthorian Empire, political figures in Alduria have taken a stand in support of Luthorian efforts to curtail the far-right Falanges Party. In February 4055, the Luthorian Imperial Diet narrowly passed a measure which protects party headquarters from the Falanges Party, passing a restraining order against Falangists on party headquarters of mainstream parties.

Furthermore, this bill became controversial when Étienne duPerrier, the Chairman of Démocrats de Gauche (Democrats of the Left) travelled to Luthori to speak before the Imperial Diet encouraging this resolution. While liberal and leftist parties welcomed this incursion, some conservatives directed pointed criticism at the presence of a foreign political party's Chairman to further a markedly anti-fascist agenda.

However, there was much less contention and controversy around the Luthorian Falanges in the government of Alduria. The National Assembly voted unanimously for the bill entitled "Official Designation and Condemnation of the Luthorian Falanges Party 4054". Regardless of deep left and right divides and usual contention, the Démocrats de Gauche sponsored bill, which seeks to stand in solidarity with Luthori against fascism while protecting Alduria against a growth in Falanges inspired xenophobia and hate crime, attained total bipartisan support.

The right of center Youth Alliance, which currently controls a legislative majority and the executive branch, took action in concord with the Démocrats de Gauche, Parti Libéral, and Progressistes Royale. President Marco Baptiste made an official statement to the Luthorian government against the Falanges Party, which prompted further action by the Luthorian Diet against the Falangists. This success is likely to overshadow the left wing activism which inspired the anti-fascist campaign initially.

In finality, it is likely that the Démocrats de Gauche will ultimately benefit from the bipartisan victory, having been capable of bringing political forces together across all aisles against extremism. It is thought that this may assist Démocrats de Gauche in winning a plurality of seats in the next election

Today concluded the convention of Démocrates de Gauche in the city of Aldur. Over 5,000 were present from across Alduria for the festivities and proceedings of the convention. Members of the new party, whether Metzist, Hosian Socialist, social Democrat, or Democratic Socialist gathered together to once again commit to the party's intersectional platform and approach, and to nominate a candidate for Président. Of the 500 delegates, 487 voted for Party Chairman Étienne duPerrier, 11 voted for Jacques Proudhonnet, the head of the youth wing and a community organizer, and 2 voted for Eugene Normandaise, a philosopher and noted voice in the Metzdist wing of the party. The convention included food stalls, stands from various political organizations and party branches, and 40 different speakers. The party commited to representing the youth, workers, students, immigrants, families, unemployed people, and minorities of Alduria.
