Futurists put forward "Progressive Restoration Bill"
Soon after the election, Futurist MP Maxime Hébert put forward a new bill called the Progressive Restoration Bill in the Chamber of Deputies. The aim of this bill is to reverse the previous government's regressive laws, especially the "Reversal Act", which among others established an official state religion, legalized the use of weapons of mass destruction and made open homosexuality forbidden in the military. The Progressive Restoration Bill would also ensure the right to a free and legal abortion up to the second trimester, which had been compromised by the National Conservatives. The reactionary Reversal Act, which was a landmark bill of the last administration, is sometimes blamed for its unpopularity and for the landslide victory of progressives in the elections which took place earlier this month.

The nationalist threat to democracy

Recently, the National Conservative Party announced the formation of a militia, which is entirely illegal under Aldurian law. Claiming that the progressive government oppresses the people - a ridiculous assumption, since the Futurists and Progressives are much more permissive and socially liberal than the conservative parties - the National Conservative Party announced the current government had no authority and abandoned the people. Thus, after turning to the far-right, the National Conservatives are now officially denouncing a democratically elected government as illegitimate. Earlier today, Prime Minister Amaury Carré denounced the National Conservatives' actions as gravely endangering democracy, and announced he would hold a meeting with Interior Minister Gregorio Pontrelli to handle this issue.

As nationalist threat enters armed rebellion, Amaury Carré calls on the citizens to fight against fascism

The PCN and PNP announced they would enter armed rebellion against the Aldurian federal government, issuing the following declaration:
Declaration of Insurgency

The outright attack of our national pride will not stand. The Progressive Restoration Bill was the last straw. The Parti Conservateur National and the Parti National Populiste have hereby declared stances of rebellion against the federal government of Aldurie. This is a tough decision to make but it has been made.

List of grievances:
The unstable government is one of the big contributors. The way partys form and break coalitions left and right have brought instability to our country.
The anti-patriotism that the current government so’s is alarming for anyone who is proud to be living in such a great country.
The outright attack against our military and disarming them is leaving them vulnerable for outside aggressors.
The Parti Futuriste goal of state atheism is concerning for many people in the Parti Conservateur National and to the people who support them. Though the debate of religion's role in government is always talked about, but the Parti Futuriste goal of abolishing it because it “a force against progress in this world”, source- party description, is a tyrannical way of thinking and one of the main reasons that the Parti Conservateur National chose to rise up.

We won’t consider ourselves traitors, but people who felt like that the government abandoned us and have no other choice than to rise up and defend our old rights and liberties. So from here to the foreseeable future, The Milice Nationale Révolutionnaire and the National Rousseauvian League will be in an open an armed conflict with the Federal Government of the Federal Republic of Aldurie.

Chairwoman Lisa Grinda of the Parti Conservateur National
Chairman René Robineau of the Parti National Populiste
Commander Kung Hyeon-Jun of the Milice Nationale Révolutionnaire
General Donovan DuBois of the Ligue Rousseauvien Nationale

Soon after this, Futurist deputies put forward a bill proposal denouncing both parties, their militia and their leaders as traitorous and called for the revocation of their deputies' parliamentary immunity.

Prime Minister Amaury Carré reacted with the following declaration:
Citizens of Alduria, our rights, our freedom and our democracy are in danger!

The traitorous fascists of the PCN and of the PNP have announced they would enter open rebellion against the legitimate government of Alduria.

Despite claiming they fight against government instability, they plan to enter civil war!
Despite claiming they fight for a strong Alduria, they destroy it from the inside!
Despite claiming they fight for your rights, they want to restrict them as proven by their "Reversal Act"!
Despite claiming they fight for the people, they refuse to recognize the will of the people when it does not support them!

Let us fight together against their hypocrisy, their bigotry and their fascism!

They shall not take away our rights! They shall not take away our freedoms! They shall not take away our democracy! They shall not pass!

Only time will tell whether this will degenerate into full-scale civil war or if a peaceful solution will be found after the election in early 4627 and it remains unknown whether this election will even be held in peaceful circumstances.

Comité de Salut Public sweep into power as Federal Authority collapses

Alduria's recent history has been rife with unstable regimes attempting to reforge the nation in their own image. The latest of these, the "Federal Authority of Alduria" was established mere 5 years ago, but in that time has been unable (or unwilling) to govern the nation.

Amidst this chaos, several high-ranking nobles, businessmen, union-leaders and politicians have coalesced into the Comité de Salut Public (Committee of Public Safety). From all walks of life they hail, those who would try to save the nation. In their recently published manifesto, the CSP have laid out the guidelines of what a stable government should look like - a constitutional monarchy with broad civil rights. This manifesto calls for Alexandre de La Couronne, a popular noble with broad support, to be installed as King of Alduria.

Mere days after the formation of the CSP, the governing body of the Federal Authority of Alduria collapsed in spectacular fashion and the Committee was invited by the armed forces to form a transition government. The duke of Arcogne, Guillaume d'Arcogne, has taken up the position of head of government and has immediately set in motion the constitutional changes needed to restore the Aldurian monarchy and return stability to a nation that is craving it.

Alexandre I crowned as King of Alduria

In a relatively modest ceremony, Alexandre de La Couronne was officially crowned King of Alduria. The Comité de Salut Public has announced that His Majesty's coronation is but the beginning of a year of radical change that will see Alduria return to a course of stability, prosperity and unity; the year is set to close with the official relocation of the nation's capital to La Couronne.

A true monarchist fervor has swept across the nation, as towns and cities everywhere celebrate the return of the monarchy by renaming themselves to royalist names. A notable example is the city of Deuilan for example has renamed itself to Débarquement-de-la-Reine (Queen's Landing) in honor of Queen Marie arriving there from her home in Kanjor.

In his address to the newly established Estates General, His Majesty praised the work of the Comité de Salut Public and said that the great work of restoring Alduria has only just begun.

Upon the end of all ceremonies, the new flag of Alduria was raised as the new anthem played.

Vive le Roi!

Rifts within the Committee for Public Safety?

It has been almost ten years since the Committee for Public Safety swept into power following the collapse of the previous regime. An alliance of monarchists, socialists, nobles, and union leaders, the Committee itself was born out of a compromise between various factions to install stability in Alduria. The left-wing of the committee reluctantly accepted the appointment of a new monarch to guide the nation.

Many thought that, with the stability that has arisen from the recent year of government, the rift between the factions in the committee would heal but it seems that, unfortunately, the opposite is developing. The left-wing faction of the Committee, led by Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Maxime Flandin, has pushed for the nation to retract its membership from various monarchy-supporting international treaties. While this in itself is fairly inocuous, it seems to symbolize a shift away from monarchism within the left-wing of the Committee.

Only time can tell if this rift will continue to deepen.
