Alduria begins cultural revival in Nouvelle-Orange; N-7 Highway Completed in Nouvelle-Orange

The Parmentier Administration, recently elected only a year ago has taken on the mantle of continuing the War on Poverty. This has come with a form of cultural revival in Nouvelle-Orange, being a region of Alduria with more historic ties to the Commonwealth and Luthori. The Administration has looked to revive the unique culture of Nouvelle-Orange, and has looked to the regions unique history; monarchs and royalism.

Quite recently, Luthori, an esteemed ally of Alduria gifted a statue of Phillip II Villayn, the Emperor of Alduria who had married the Empress of Luthori, Mary I of Orange, a long while ago. The statue, with one in Luthori, consists of both monarchs holding hands, in a show of unity. The statue in Alduria has recently been unveiled in Pelloutier, capital of Nouvelle-Orange.

Across Nouvelle-Orange, various other statues dedicated to the regions unique history, such as monarchs, important figures and statues of the working class have been constructed. The goal is to renew a sense of cultural pride in the region and revive the unique Nouvelle-Orange culture.

On the flip side, the N-7 Highway has been completed, linking the capital of Nouvelle-Orange to the capital of Bendérie. The results has seen goods to and from Nouvelle-Orange able to be exported and imported. The results are expected to allow economic growth for the region to occur, with the Parmentier Administration looking to greatly expand the education scope in Nouvelle-Orange, and ultimately the rest of country. The administration also has interest in expanding the Agricultural Industry, focusing on Nouvelle-Orange.

The completion of the N-7 Highway has helped the regions unemployment crisis, and with new connections, Pelloutier has the capacity to reopen various small businesses and hire workers. This is expected to greatly help the struggling region.

Whatever the case, optimism remains cautious in Nouvelle-Orange. The region is making a slow gradual recovery but will still need more pumping from the government for a recovery in a reasonable time. In the rest of the country, the outlook on the War on Poverty is more optimistic but still determined.

Alduria begins "renewed offensive against poverty" in Nouvelle-Orange; Housing in Nouvelle-Orange to be constructed alongside other poverty relief measures; education to not be left behind

In an ever increasing effort to win the War on Poverty, the Parmentier Administration has launched an offensive in Nouvelle-Orange, with the goal of establishing housing in Nouvelle-Orange (supported by the government of course as per national policy). The goal of this supported government housing is to combat homelessness that exists in the region, with rural communities being the focus as rural poverty remains a key focus. The housing will be allocated to any Aldurians who are struggling, with the goal of said housing to be to get Aldurians a warm comfortable shelter until they can get back on their feet.

Alongside the Advanced form of MBI which was passed a few years ago, alongside new jobs being available in key areas from the N-7 Highway, many expect developed areas to move away from poverty in the foreseeable future. For rural communities, the news is less optimistic but the Parmentier Administration has remained optimistic in the capabilities of winning the War on Poverty. Particularly shifting focus over to rural communities, efforts have been undertaken by the Compagnie d'État Aldurienne (Aldurian State Corporation) to construct "minor" highways to connect smaller towns and cities to the N-7 Highway, allowing development and prosperity to reach them.

While not as big as a mega infrastructure project, and as such, has no specified end date, these efforts will certainly help develop Nouvelle-Orange and increase access of goods to the region.

For rural communities who are eagerly awaiting, the government has not neglected them, with the Parmentier Administration launched a full counteroffensive on poverty, pouring money into supporting and constructing rural schooling, and accommodations for schooling in rural communities. The Parmentier Administration has created the "Forfait Attraction Éducative" (Educational Attraction Package), with the goal of incentivisng Aldurians to pursue education, with the FAE comprising of an allocated amount of Aldurian Dollars (ALD$), to support students who are struggling.

Whatever the case, the CEA will have the task of connecting disconnected communities to the N-7 Highway and the FAE will have to attract Aldurians to seek education. Regardless, the Parmentier Administration is looking to continue the work set by the Pinchon Administration, and will continue the War on Poverty.

"The Farmer will not be left behind!" Alduria to invest and develop agrarian industries in Nouvelle-Orange

As the War on Poverty rages on, the efforts to fight against poverty have seen success, with the N-7 Highway (and it's minor connected highways) being a major boost to the regions economy. While development has been stable in the region and unemployment is going down, more efforts need to be done to ensure the region doesn't relapse into poverty once the War on Poverty ends. To that end, the Parmentier Administration has focused on developing the regions economy, primarily being an agriculture economy similar to La Valleé.

The government has begun efforts to develop Agricultural Sectors in Nouvelle-Orange, with farmers receiving government support, new modernized equipment being sent to farmers and the creation of new farms outright. The goal is to develop the economy of Nouvelle-Orange and expand employment opportunities in the region.

New equipment will allow farmers to grow crops efficiently without risk of equipment breakdown and government subsidies will allow struggling farms to prevent a closure. The creation of new farms itself will allow areas that were previously lacking in any potential to find potential and employment. Ultimately it will allow the regions economy to grow and develop with Agriculture being a strong leading sector in Nouvelle-Orange.

While the region is far from a perfect recovery, many are starting to be confident in the possibility of a developed Nouvelle-Orange with unemployment going down, homelessness going down and other poverty rates going down. While compared to the rest of the nation, it remains moderately high, compared to before the War began, the rates were skyrocketing and now are stabilizing and slowly decreasing.

Whatever the case, the War on Poverty is now seeing success on most fronts and while it's slow, success is success.

Secondary Education in Nouvelle-Orange to be supported; Education budget increased

As the War on Poverty rages on with success, the question of Secondary Education in Nouvelle-Orange has been raised and the Parmentier Administration has looked to provide a solution.

That solution being the "Jeune Avenir Plan" (Young Future Plan) with the JAP focused on supporting students in Nouvelle-Orange, whether it be providing school supplies, getting students to school or even support for relocation for college and university.

While school supplies are paid for by the government in other regions, due to Nouvelle-Orange being in an impoverished state, it is often up to the student or their family to provide support for supplies. The JAP aims to change that and ensure the government will directly pay for the supplies instead of the regional government. This will immensely give relief to students struggling.

In regards to getting students to school or even students unable to get to higher education, the JAP aims to financially support students in getting to schools and ensure they can survive adequately. The goal is to prevent students moving to a college/university city and being forced to struggle. The JAP will provide financial support to students and ensure they can get food on the table for themselves and ensure they can survive without falling into poverty.

Furthermore, the Education Budget has been increased, which will significantly allow wages for educational staff to rise, higher quality equipment and better well maintained buildings. In Nouvelle-Orange, the budget increase will do wonders for schools and other educational institutions there.

Whatever the case, education remains a viable tool in the War on Poverty and the Parmentier Administration is looking to take advantage of it in it's fullest.

Isabelle D'Amboise inaugurated as 7th President of Alduria; Promises Educational Reform and continuing the War on Poverty;

As the 5418 Elections conclude, the Parti Communiste d'Aldurie (Communist Party of Alduria) has prevailed, with Isabelle D'Amboise being inaugurated as President of the People's Republic. Formerly being a member of the cabinet in the Parmentier Administration, D'Amboise was elected by the PCA/AKP as a member of the PCA/AKP Right wing, looking to maintain a moderate course and develop the nation.

Among her campaign promises were reforming the education system, and she has presented the Special Studies Act to the Assemblée Nationale des Travailleurs (National Assembly of Workers) with the goal of increasing support to electives in schooling and modify the curriculum once again to expand the scope of history, moving from just Aldurian History but to also include Imiri and Anti History. She has also looked to expand the National Worker's Assembly, pushing the count from 250 seats to 253. Believing in giving adequate and proper representation to the Anti and Imiri people, 2 new seats were created to represent their interests, with the third seat being devoted to Labour Unions.

However, what makes the 5418 elections worth an entire news page is the fact that this is the first election where the PCA/AKP has had opposition. The Parti Socialiste des Travailleurs (Socialist Worker's Party) ran in the 5418 election, looking to establish itself as an alternative to voters who found themselves dissatisfied with the PCA/AKP. While it received only 0.07% of the vote, it is still a huge win for those who want alternatives.

We here at the Radical support this, after all, Alduria is a democracy and Socialism needs Democracy just as much as the human body needs oxygen. Maybe the PCA/AKP can learn a thing or two from the PSdT.

Whatever the case, this is new ground for the People's Republic, and we believe people should be optimistic about this! As for our new President, her ambitious plans for education depends upon the Assemblée Nationale des Travailleurs. But what is certain is that she will certainly look to unite the Aldurian People, regardless of creed.
