Junta imports arms via blockade runners

The Junta has begun importing weaponry from Narikaton and Darnussia via the usage of blockade runners. They have ordered 8.7 billion worth of arms from the manufacturer "Narikan", and nearly as much in gas masks from the manufacturer "Mauser", totalling near 17 billion in price. Despite not having much in their monetary reserves, the Junta has begun sending massive amounts of gold to N&D through legitimate ships that can bypass the blockade in order to pay this sum, with an expected 243.8 metric tons to be shipped. The imported arms include rifles, machine guns and man portable anti-tank weaponry. While we are unsure of precise details, we believe that the ships are landing in Uwakah after going around Dorvik, with them bypassing the blockade by speeding as fast as possible into Kirlawa's absolute jurisdiction.

Mustard Gas released near border, attack or accident?

Reporting from internal sources, a large amount of mustard gas has been released near to point where the Dundorfian, Kundraijan and Kirlawan borders meet. While some sources have begun reporting that it was an accident, others have report that it was an intentional move by the quadrumvirate to attempt to intimidate the nearby nations to leave Kirlawa be. Speculation has risen about how the nations are going to respond to this potential accident, or whether they will take it as an attack on their sovereignty. The quadrumvirate along with the Department of Information have remained tight lipped about the accident, with it being possible that they are trying to keep the incident secret. Inline with the policy of secrecy is that the regional commandant, Éanna O'Hannagain, has begun the silent evacuation of civilians from local towns to inland “camps”, which function both as refugee centres for these civilians, and prison camps to prevent news of the incident escaping, with an estimated 14,000 having already been interned. Of additional concern is that the rural populations, unless there is enough of them together, are being left in the affected areas as a cost saving measure.

Local conscription has also seen an major increase in last few weeks, with over 300,000 men originating from Nuchtmark having been conscripted in the last 4 weeks alone. It has been reported that teenage men as young as 14 have been conscripted, and are being forced to fight the quadrumvirates’ war with men as old as 67. Minimal training has been given to these conscripts, and they are now being forced to make their communities move to internment camps. The quadrumvirate has begun cracking down on opposition along with resistance more now, with the Kirlawan Times losing over 50 informants in the last 7 days alone, making it much harder to get information indicating what is happening. It is currently unknown what fates these informants are suffering, and we have unfortunately lost our informant that was able to access the files indicating what would happen to them.

As of yesterday, the combined forces of Kundrati and Dundorf have begun an unprovoked and undeclared invasion of Kirlawa. The invasion began shortly after an accidental release of an unknown gas near the tri-border of the nations, which they have accused us of purposefully releasing it, along with accusations of it being mustard gas. They have begun approaching cities near the border, and rural populations are already being captured. In order to slow down their advance the quadrumvirate has decided to increase the conscription to be more expansive in the affect areas. Police forces are being armed, while civilians who are unable to defend themselves are being evacuated to Uwakah. Civilians are being required to carry their gas masks at all times, as dangerous chemical weapons may be used by enemy forces against the civilian population. We ask anyone who is not on the list of people to be conscripted but still wishes to serve to enlist, as they will be highly valued and gain additional rights and benefits post the war.
