Joint United Egelion Party and Liberal Union Effort Shocks Egelion

The political landscape of Egelion was shaken up again after yet another snap election. As punishment for calling yet another election, voters relegated the SDLP/CVB to third place in the voting as the United Egelion Party/Liberal Union seized the presidency. The joint ticket gained 30% of the vote and winning 32% of the seats. The CSPP and SDLP/CVB, who were scene was the primary proponents of an early election, saw major losses. The SDLP/CVB saw a 5.5% slide from the previous election, the CSPP saw a nearly 7.5% drop. Former president Eydís Aldorsdottir lamented her party's poor performance and hinted that she and her party had overreacted to their previous support. "We still have much to learn in the political realm," she stated, "our power had always come without working with others. We are good junior coalition members, now we must learn how to become the party in power."

While the election was grim for the SDLP/CVB and CSPP, political insiders predict little will change and the current coailtion will stand. With a cabinet completely opposed to the president however, it is unclear if Egelion will finally be able to see political stability and avoid a fourth election in three years.

Vanuku Withdraws from Treaty of Fort Bartlet

In a vote of 111 to 90, Vanuku's Assemblage van de Republiek voted to withdraw form the Treaty of Fort Bartlet, granting Egelion the right to lease Vanuku's colonial territories. There has been no official statement from the government of Vanuku and it is currently unclear how the transfer of power will take place. The SDLP/CVB, the party who helped forge the treaty, said only that they were disappointed in the withdrawal from the treaty as they felt the treaty was best for the people of Dovani.

The treaty was never truly popular in Vanuku nor Egelion. Egelion had no history of colonialism, and many saw the SDLP/CVB justification of the treaty to be unconvincing. The additional costs needed to defend and maintain the colonies was too great considering the return gained from the colonies. This was particularly true in Central Dovani, a state that never truly recovered from its first violent election.

Egelion to face Rutania in next round

Image
Egelian team walking out of the building after Alduria win

After Egelion shocking last minute victory over WC favorites Alduria, now they have to keep going forward with the gameplan and try to beat Rutania's Dragons. And after watching them practice, they look more than ready for their next match. "When we first got here, we was worry." said Mid-Fielder Gwallter Haines, who scored a goal in the last game. "We was taken out of different clubs across our country, and was suppose to immediately work together as one. The task almost seemed impossible. Luckly, everyone was able to put club rivilaries aside as soon as we got there." Even though they didn't had as much time to practice as others, it was enough to make them a team. "Now after all these sudden events calmed down, we was able to beat one of the teams people was thinking would go all the way to the finals undefeated. Truly was a great win for everyone on the field, everyone in the stands, and everyone at home watching."

After the game, people was talking about one guy. Cadfan Flellos was his name. When the football league was talking about who should be on the national team, they was thinking of not taking him do to his inexperience. Now, he's the hometown hero for a whole nation after a 89-minute goal to end the game 2-3 for Egelion to win. "It's an amazing feeling to have, and maybe even a once in a lifetime feeling." said Flellos when interviewed while walking to the buses. A truly glorious scene to see the crowd cheer their hearts out after the ball hit the back of the net in the final minutes of the game. We wish for more goals to come from this superstar, and a great future fot him both in his club and in this World Cup.

Now, the question is still out there. Was this a lucky goal in the last minute? Was it an magical performance by the Egelian team? Or is this team really as good as they showed us? Only time can find out.

Alejandro Castellanos to represent Egelion in Terravision

Image
Alejando Castellanos

Today, it was confirmed that Alejandro Castellanos (Not CfL's President Delgadillo, shockingly) was chosen to be the singer for Egelion at this year's Terravision in Barmenia. Mr. Castellanos said that he is both humble and honored to be in Millenmeow Stadium to showed the world what Egelion got. "I'm so happy that in my short career, that I already reached this high into stardom. To think a year ago I was just singing in a bar still causes a bittersweet feeling."

Sandoval-Martinez: Caudillo of Egelion(?)

Image

After debating who would take Federico Villanueva's place in the seat, it was chosen today that José María Sandoval-Martinez would be be taking over. This comes to a shock, due to the facts that nobody really knows why Mr. Villanueva stepped down and that nobody really knows his replacement period. When asked why he did, we would never get a reply. I personally think something odd could be happening to him, like a disease, maybe there's a scandal going on around the government, or could be he just didn't want to be Caudillo for life, like many people thought be would. All we know is that there's a new sheriff in town, and his name is José María Sandoval-Martinez.

A bit difficult to explain what has happened but let's say like this.

http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/Histor ... h_Republic

Basically my party, Partido Unido de los Trabajadores have taken power. All the other parties are now gone. As a result nothing has really hindered us from creating a socialistic democracy.

We have a new flag,

Image

A new anthem, http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/A_las_Barricadas which you can listen to on the wiki.

The current president, or Caudillo, is José Antonio Núñez with Begoña Alonso as Primer Ministro (Prime Minister). We will however change the title of the Caudillo since Caudillo is an autocrat, not very democratic. We are currently updating our wiki quite frequently, everything from cities, regions, military, parties, institutions, people. Feel free to read if you are bored, and I'll try to keep this page slightly active as time goes on.

Sadly my party have sort of achieved everything I need to be content. Just a question of updating everything, and starting new projects, but that is for the future.

Egelion ready to help Czarists

After getting the green light from the Supreme Leader the Armed Forces of Egelion are heading for Western Deltaria to help the czarists beat the unionists. The announcement of the military action came last night when the SL said on a televised video made at the Palace. He stated that the Czarists's fight is, "noble and true", and that, "Egelion will be there for them every step of the way.". This annoncement was backed by a statement made by the Ministry of Defense saying that "Our troops will go and come back successfully with no face of serious resistance from the rebels." Although some see this as a bad time for a war with any nation they feel great pride for their nation and military.

Prince Daniels trip to Dranland. Day 1

Today Imperial Prince Daniel Canura Formoselle made found himself in Kyo kingdom Comares, Elbian, Dranland. The Crowned Prince is on a three day visit to Dranland, and with no set agenda or message many are calling this a mini-vacation for the Prince. Prince Daniel spent much of the day indoors as it was to wet for any outside activities to occur, due to heavy amounts of rainfall which is predicted to move out of the area later tonight. The Prince met with regional legislators who gave him a tour of a local energy plant that is well known for their push for renewable energy.

After the tour was over, the Prince went to a historic theater house where he was greeted by local politicians and leaders. A small crowd of people were gathered there to see and meet the next HoS of Egelion.

Prince Daniels trip to Dranland. Day 2

On the second day of his three day trip to Dranlland, Prince Daniel has had a busy day full of excitement. He had brunch with a few local ministers who had helped organize the visit for the Prince. After brunch the Prince went to a new military cemetery where he paid his respects to the men and women who gave their lives for their nation.

Sadly the Prince's trip had to be cut short as the Ministry of Defense declared it unsafe for royals and political leaders to be on travel outside Egelion at the moment. The Prince left Dranland with these simple words, "This will not be my last trip here, The people of Dranland are truly wonderful and know how to treat a foreign visitor. If all goes well I will become a proud investor of Dranland. Egelion is my home, but Dranland is my backyard."
