Formation of the 3rd Great Democratic Republic assured
Presidum puts proposal to form 3GDR to a vote, certain to pass
December 4574

Earlier in the year, a proposal was made in the Presidium to form the 3rd Great Democratic Republic of Lodamun as the nation continued to prosper. It has been nearly 3 decades since the nation began the transition from the era of the 1st Cooperative Federative Republic and much has been done to repeal and reform from the oppressive regime in power during that era. With the passage of this proposal, this transition will be complete and the nation's name will reflect the great progress Lodamun has made in these transitional years.

The Lodamese Green Coalition, which is currently running the nation under a one-party state due to the NGPoL+LWA merger, is proud to usher in this new era. President Mideen also addressed the nation about this new era and congratulated the unity of the Presidium. He also expressed that though he was proud of the unity, he was a bit uneasy about the one-party rule. He encouraged those that want to see change and/or want to represent those that they feel need more representation to run for office.

Lodamese National Elections 4576
The first election since the formation of the 3GDR

Being a one-party state, the Lodamese Green Coalition still have complete control of the Presidium, though there are factions within the party that have differing views. The composition of those of these views affect what bills are actually proposed as this requires a majority of the party to agree on such. These are the compositions of the LGC as of this election.(These will be back to showing the composition of the political parties in the nation once there are other parties, with a separate section for LGC composition)

President Mideen Announces Departure After 12 Years as President
LGC Chairman Lars Auronis takes up mantle of the Presidency
September 4581

3GDR President Oliver Mideen has announced that he will be stepping down after serving the nation for 12 years as President. He has overseen the nation during the last stages of a transitional period from a recovering Republic to another Great Democratic Republic. In his place will be former LGC Chairman Lars Auronis, a politician that has inspired a great amount of confidence from the LGC. Mideen also agrees that Auronis is the man for the job and will make a very good successor to the office.

Former Internal Affairs Minister Justin Harris has been elected to lead the party following Auronis' ascension to the Presidency. Former Police Chief in West Beach Roland Casel has been appointed the new Internal Affairs Minister following Harris' shift in position. The rest of the Cabinet will remain in their positions and this shuffle will also serve as a Vote of Confidence for them. This motion is expected to pass the Presidium easily.
