Increasing Presence of the Restorationist Church in LodamunMay 5216A minor Hosian denomination has continued to increase its roots in Lodamun. The
Restorationist Church of Eliyahu and Latter Day Hosians (LDH) is a fast growing denomination that has its
origins in neighbouring Baltusia. However, in 5212 the leadership of the LDH made the
momentous decision to relocate the HQ to Lodamun, specifically Daro in Kregon, and over the last four years investment from the Church has poured into Kregon.
Why Daro?So why the move to Daro? Well if you believe the
leadership a vison detailed that the new Yishalem would be founded in Daro. This is important in LDH doctrine because it signals the location for the return of
Eliyahu to Terra inaugurating a thousand year reign by Eliyahu over Terra. However, critics just say it made good business sense. LDH migration to Kalistan never really
took off after a previous vision, but migration to Lodamun has been increasing since the 5160’s when the then Lodamese government made the LDH one of
six preferenced denominations since 5160, which has massively aided their outreach programme to gain new communicants.
Daro is in Kregon, which borders both Baltusia and Kalistan which had historically had a LDH presence. Kregon also has a style of politics that favours internationalism and historically been welcoming to migrants. There has historically been a small but continuous LDH presence in vicinity of the city of Daro dating back hundred of years, and numbers have rapidly increased in the last few decades with estimates suggesting that perhaps as much as one-fifth of the local population are adherents,
against perhaps 4% nationally. Over the last four years a number of new Churches have been built, including a new complex in central Daro that incorporates the new HQ of the organisation. Throughout the rest of the city new housing complexes have also been rapidly built as the Church has directed funds to be spent in the local area. The communal nature of the Church means that it owns construction companies and has invested in farmland and logging sites across the country too.

establish medical facilities since 5212 and
even their own university since 5213. Domestic policies have also been amended to
legally accept polygamy across Lodamun, a practice of importance to the LDH. All of this has further helped to make Lodamin an ideal destination for the LDH to focus its efforts in converting locals, and for exisiting LDH communities to migrate to.

As part of the re-organisation of its leadership, a new hospital has been opened in Daro. Although a private hospital and open to the wider community, most staff and patients are members of the LDH. Although many LDH choose to home school their children, in areas of concentrated LDH numbers there are nurseries, elementary and secondary schools.
