“Political murders do happen from time to time, especially in Kregon. I believe that all reasonable Lodamese have at least accepted them as part and parcel of living in modern times. I personally know many good, hardworking people who have asserted their support for this practice on numerous occasions. I must tell you, their arguments are often quite convincing, even to a softie like me. [laughs] This simply means that EAPP does not take any particular offense to the murder of the last Prince. Actually, down South we quite often have very legal duels to the death to solve these question in a far simpler manner“.

„What is not acceptable, however, is any foreign meddling in the natural flow of modern politics of an independent country. It can and probably will lead to suitably drastic response on the part of the Lodamese authorities. Now, before any of you start to worry - yes, genocide is still an option we’re considering. I assure you, it is very much on the table. If things get worse and more lowborn trash of your countries ends up here armed, we will take care of them. Yes, we understand that Lodamun often has a reputation for isolationism and unfriendly inwardness, but this we can help the international community with.“

Political repression stops, socialist constitution passed

Following international backlash, new pressure from inside as well fear of being discredited by international anarchist communities, the High commander, Roy Rohm, commanded the militias to cease political violence. With this, more news flew in from Orean as a new meeting between all anarchist committees across Lodamun in which they proposed creation of a new free territory constituted around anarchist and socialist values, written on a piece of document forming the basic laws of the new Territory. The discussions ensued for days and ended several days ago, with Oscar Gayoso, Isaac Osborne and Jacob Patel declaring the United Communes as a new entity, independent and democratic, based on socialist values enshrined in a socialist constitution, a piece of paper which lays the fundamental principles under which for other regions to govern around. Some of the laws include equal rights for minorities of all type (be them sexual, national, gender, age, illness, race etc), abolition of money, direct democracy, workplace democracy and self management, free speech and right for assembly, right to strike, healthcare, education and proper living standards, just to name a few of them. Property rights is limited to personal property.

The territories engulf more than two major cities, several small towns and many villages are in it, some of them being even disconnected, lost in southern parts of andalay or other regions of Lodamun.

With the formation of a new autonomous region came the issue of forming a government and a legislative body. The government was called High Council of Ministers, which is to be appointed by the legislative body and then approved by people via referendum. The legislative body, called and Revolutionary Committee of Orean and Martin, was elected by people on 20 December. The new "national" government has the role of maintaining the constitution, ensuring stability and growth of the new regions as well acting in foreign politics. Rarely it will have the mandate to intervene over local matters. It also provides an economic and trade strategy to benefit the locals, through mutual beneficial trade and investing local communities with necessary capital for projects and regional development.

The new entity started to work immediately and reorganize and form a proper structure to govern the military, foreign diplomacy and laws, which will be passed via approval from people through referendums. Such law was prohibition of terrorism, which passed, ensuing that all political violence that is not justified enough shall be not pursued. Includes politicians of other parties, passive believers of one ideology which does not seek direct threat to the Communes through open arming up, celebrities, officials of Lodamun or functionaries, tourists. This law as well with the high commander orders, the political repression against other groups dramatically decreased to low levels, as most of militia was organized in the new free territory to defend it. With the 30 000 militiamen, additional 5000 joined from foreign countries and parts of Lodamun, people which are expected to be armed and trained to high standards.

Lastly, projects are being underway for the Communes, economic growth and diplomatic relationships is the new priority of the new government from Orean, the capital of the Communes. Is yet expected if other governments will recognize the secessionist territory. Meanwhile, protests across country continue to ravage economy demanding more pro-labor laws and resignation of the current government.

State visit to Kalistan, anarchists celebrate 7 years
of independence of the Communes

First of, the new anarchist authorities succeeded to unite all unions and militias under better organized structures. The militias (People's Front, Red Front, Workers Liberation Front, Revolutionary Front, Syndicalist Front, International Front and many other militias) were reorganized in such manner to make defending the new independent territories much easier. The new program had passed and made all the militias reorganize around the northern region, around Providence, Martin and Orean, to ensure best defense lines. On top of it, a high command post was formally officialized, stirring anarchists alike, though the unification does not meant a centralized army, rather it allows for better grouping of militias in case of war, allowing for better mobility and greater tactics to be used. The militias will still have own leaders and they can disobey central commanding post as well they have a say in how things are run. The high commander has the mere right of allowing militias to assemble for war.

On the other side, anarchists, trade unionists, various leftist groups and workers had celebrated 7 years since the formation of Commune of Orean, the oldest Commune in Lodamun. People went on the streets and celebrated the birth of syndicalist movements as well the victory against capitalists. The day did not went without incidents. Unions across the country started burning money in sign of protest against the regime and the exploitation of workers by the government. They also expressed hate against capitalists and liberals, blocking of the Liberal headquarters as well violently clashing with authorities or capitalist supporters. Despite this, no casualties were registered and the police was able to hold off the crowds.

Lastly, on 3 May the government from Orean announced a state visit to Kalistan in which for few days the anarchist delegates will discuss a fair trade deal alongside a possible recognition and better diplomatic relationships with Kaliburg officials. The visit will be held on 6 May, as the anarchists are awaiting approval from the Kalistani authorities. The delegation will be formed of the High Commissar and other diplomats and the foreign minister. The meeting is expected to get better trade deals relate to resources like different ores for the growing anarchist industry in Orean and St Martin.

State visit to Egelion was announced as well but that one is still just a future plan, as the new government will still focus on consolidating it's rule first and ensuring a better bureaucratic organization over the free territories.

Capitalist Funded Militias Gain Strength, Consolidate Most of Norstavan

After about a year and a half of the Liberty Party (now officially sponsoring the militias) militias starting to organize, they have been able to both increase in militia size and area controlled. After initially forming in Andalwood, their areas of control have slowly expanded to almost the entirety of Norstavan, the southeastern part of Golavia, and some regions of Andalay, as the people in these areas all made calculated (and desperate) decisions in their support. Many of the people in these areas are not entirely thrilled about the idea of being under the rule of the Liberty Party, however they have seen it as a "necessity" to combat the anarchists. As one supporter was interviewed, "While I don't believe in many of the economic principles of the Liberty Party, they have been the only ones to actively prevent the expansion of syndicalism. This last defense of freedom comes when the government has been content to allow the anarchists to roam freely even after the president was killed. Even if we had no love for him here, we still must defend our democracy at whatever cost."

The Liberty Party is now thought to have somewhere between 10-15 thousand mobilized troops, and while many of these are simply citizens of Lodamun who are largely untrained in combat, they have been able to purchase enough weapons to ensure all troops are equipped properly. Additionally, the militias have been attempting to turn civilian cars into weaponized ones, by attaching machine guns to the back of pickup trucks. While it is thought that they have very few of these improvised military vehicles, more are expected to be produced as these unstable times continue on.

Many people have wondered how the Liberty Party itself has even been able to gain this much wealth to spend, leading many to speculate foreign powers have been secretly funding them in the hopes of passively supporting their movement. Yet any concrete links to any nation supporting them have not been found, leaving a mysterious presence looming behind the Liberty Party's militias.

July 4763 comes with major economic growth for the communes as funds and trade with other regions of the world increased after strong policies and well planed economy by the anarchist committees. The economic advisors expect economic boom after the stabilization of the two cities and the trade deals expected with Kalistan.

First of all, after a successful diplomatic mission in Egelion, where a new communist regime is forming up, the anarchists received large aid consisting of money as well with various resources and beneficial trade deals. The most important deals and funds were in the shipping industry and metals, as well with other resources needed for industry to grow. From coal to rubber, from iron to lithium, nickel, gold, silver, chrome, copper and many other were given at a discount or some of them like coal or iron, for free as development aid for the Communes, which in exchange offered beneficial trades too regarding various products and shares in some companies opened to the world.

The beneficial trades were not the only aid, the second aid came for construction of a commercial navy and upgrading the St Martin port, who had started modernization procedures involving larger ship capacity among other things. The new aid consisting of capital and experts will help the locals build up ships intended to transport the resources needed for the Communes as well activate internationally for profit. This will allow as well for cheap transportation of supplies and goods from and to St Martin. The new ships are expected to be done over few months, with costs around few million LODs/ ILDs (International Lodamese Dollar is same with LOD, but used by anarchists when engaging trade with other regions).

Lastly, the industry of Orean had seen own boom with new tech workers owned companies popping out after the anarchist government finalized the projects for an internet and power grid across the cities and not only, the network being expanded into neighboring cities as well with aid from locals and foreign aid from various organizations, and now from Egelion. With beneficial trade with Kalistan, new exchanges of goods are expected to vitalize the economy and help the new grid and internet network grow. The internet for locals is free of charge, while fees are imposed for outsiders. The new tech companies had also produced various products and household appliances, from kitchen robots to coffee makers. New TVs, radios and better quality cameras imported from abroad were distributed freely between citizens of the Communes. Following this, the gun industry hit a new high, being expected to increase production as well evolve to riffles and grenade production, planning to develop own riffle, in the upcoming year.

Lodamese President dissolves the Transitional Government, Hosianism under attack

His Serene Augustness the Prince-President of Lodamun declared that the Lodamese Transitional Government, a long-time EAPP counter-government to the executive organ of the 4th Great Democratic Republic, decided to dissolve itself and recognize the latter as the sole authority in Lodamun. This move was expected by many experts both foreign and domestic as the government of the 4th GDR’s been dominated by the EAPP for now almost a decade and with the current Princely claimant generally considered most moderate out of all of them, there was, as the experts pointed out, little use in continuing to divide the legitimate authority in an already chaotic situation.

In a somewhat stark contrast to the rest of Lodamun apparently gearing up for war, Kregon and other pagan-aligned areas have been as quiet and peaceful as usual. Which means, not very. According to International Hosian League, southern Lodamese have started to burn Hosian churches and attacking known communities of Southern Hosians, apparently considering them to all also be syndicalist sympathizers. Like one pre-eminent Southern pagan religious leader declared in his radio show, "all modern left-wing ideologies have a Qedarite-humanist root“. "They're pretty much the exact same Qedaries, some have a foreign desert God involved, some use Yeudic philosophers for the same job".
Still, with its already noticeably higher rates of violence of almost all kinds compared to other regions of Lodamun, Kregon has seen little further increase. Even the wave of anti-Hosianism could be seen in a larger context as just part of the usual and well-documented 20-year cycles of vicious Southern “religious cleansing”, where the target is very often a “foreign-born” religion just like Hosianism. It also isn’t the first time the followers of Hosianism have fallen victim to such Southern violence as waves just like that hit them previously in 4737, 4712 and 4693.

Mutiny in Lodamunese army! Navy sails off to St Martin

Following the morning of 4 of March news spread like wildfire as the navy of Lodamun had been reported to depart mysteriously from their ports going eastward, toward an unknown location. Later that day, the navy was reported to had established itself in Saint Martin as a mutiny was discovered. The naval base in Ellington was the target of a massive mutiny in men and ships, as the sailors alongside with the aid of local workers in the factories and the ports had aided the sailors in seizing the ships by throwing their captains and officers over the board and capturing vehicles, various military pieces and coastline defenses. The often overlooked navy was in a dire situation, being discontented with the regime they had to serve under, as well the conditions on the ships, the sailors had revolted against the regime, taking with them the ships, from trawlers, to supply ships, warships and minesweepers. This came as a hit for Lodamunese naval capacities as almost a half of the ships are in the hands of the anarchists, who will not hesitate to profit off of it. The committee had already held meetings over the matter, stating they will be wise in aiding the sailors. They will get to form own anarchist committees that will partake in military projects and revolutionary activity. Their committees, stated Isaac Osborne, will have the role to make their voice heard, in regards with their conditions, needs and desires as well ideas. The sailors will be offered free food, water and shelter on the beautiful coasts owned by syndicalist militias.

The mutiny then spread to other contingents, leading to a massive 15 000 soldiers overthrowing their commanders and marching to Providence from south to reconnect with other syndicalist groups and surround Providence and the capitalist militias located there. The mutiny resulted in experienced soldiers, strategists and military graded vehicles and weaponry, such as batteries, artillery pieces (including howitzers), light armored vehicles, APCs and five tanks falling in the hands of anarchists. The mutiny is based on the discontent with the regime and the feudalist rule as well with the solidarity shown for the workers in Orean and St Martin. In their eyes the resounding successes of the Communes speak for itself, thus many men from the military from all parts of Lodamun had flocked to north. This maneuver leaves Providence exposed to a siege and to be cut off from the rest of the country.

In recent reports from Orean, the anarchist armed forces size reached around 50 000 personnel, formed of professional, well equipped and trained men, alongside possible reserves formed of popular militias (popular militias= militias formed of the unskilled masses) that hovers around 20-40k if drafted. This had caused a dread fear for a syndicalist uprising, as a lot of workers across Lodamun (except Kregon of course) had joined the strikes and showed solidarity with the Communes, seen as a model to be followed. Many businessmen fear this and called for aid from the liberal militias. The government had yet to answer the massive mutinies, and if not well addressed, it might end with more mutinies as anarchists are increasing in strength. Reports came from the committees concluding military aid from Egelion to come soon as well new recruiters from international medium and internal recruiting.

Is yet to be seen what will happen next, as anarchist forces were seen practicing and exercising thoroughly in sign of preparation for a possible civil war that is looming over the country. The navy harbored in St Martin had started military exercises at sea and alongside the coast. Their mission will be safeguarding anarchist Lodamunese ships with material goods. Foreign trade is a crucial part of the Communes, as they represent important boost for their economy and everyday lives. Imports are part of the lives of the anarchists, who cannot risk losing the international trade routes. Following the patrols made by Dolgavian navy, the Lodamunese fleets will safeguard the commercial ships in the International waters, till the EEZ of another country, from where they will return back. The ships are supplied for such operations through specialized ships.

Liberty Party President Proclaims a New Republic of Lodamun

In a shocking turn of events, the Liberty Party representatives in Providence left the capital late last night, in an effort to escape the city before the syndicalist forces completely surround it. After arriving in New Vrassa early this morning, the Liberty Party President Tomislav Brekalo proclaimed the new Republic of Lodamun. The coastal city has been one of the stalwart supporters of the Liberty Party, and celebrations of this new republic ranged far and wide in this area of capitalist control.

This proclamation comes with a massive mobilization order across areas of Liberty Party control. Currently their armed forces range at about 30,000 troops, however it is expected in these coming days hundreds of untrained men and women daily will flock to the banners of their new republic.

The new republic began gearing itself towards war almost immediately, with preparations on expanding both naval ports as well as airbases already underway. Military training exercises have continued to become a regular part of daily life in these areas, as the ever-growing militias attempt to train and become a professional army group.

In another one of Tomislav Brekalo's fiery speeches, he declared, "This new republic will bring the changes needed to the corruption of the government! How can they proclaim to represent us when they allow anarchy to overtake parts of the nation? How can they be a true government when they have not faught for their people? For democracy? Now is the time for us to take matters into our own hands, to finally bring Lodamun into a time of prosperity and growth, and to unite our people once and for all!"
