Trade deal with Vascania signed by anarchists, new planes to be bought by Lodamese officials

Later this day it was announced that the Oreanese lawmakers had decided to send a diplomatic corp to Vascania in order to maximize trade and cooperation between the two states, especially on import of oil and other valuable resources, and not only, the diplomats had discussed of possible further economic deals, such as over military-graded equipment, weaponry and vehicles, but that is just a plan. The main priority in the last talks were setting a fair price over the exported Vascanian petrol to Lodamun. The Vascanian leaders were very generous with the diplomats under Erhart Simson embassy and gave in cheap prices on oil, 70 LODs the oil barrel, which in the eyes of the anarchist economic expertise was a very good deal for the Communes, in dire need for oil for the ever growing industry from Orean and St Martin.

The deal did not stopped here. With the passage of the official bill onto formation of Lodamese airlines, the syndicalists had also proposed and pushed forward a trade agreement with Vascanian officials to sell out 50 planes (7-Tarabai) for 30 million LODs each piece. The Lodamese government covered the costs as well, as a new project for a big airport in Providence is underway, expecting great funding and investment in it, as Lodamun, with the help of anarchists is making steps forward toward a more modern and developed nation, similar to it's peers. Erhart Simson stated that "it is in our duty to further the flag of progress, for our people and not only, Lodamun had been for too long the backwater when coming to technological advancements. We feel it is time to make the switch and upgrade, the future is now, and these new airports are the starting of a new golden era for Lodamun".

While this took place, the Revolutionary committees passed laws that abolished the International Lodamese Dollar, stating it is making difficult to trade with other nations, as well it is creating more troubles, like bureaucracy, inefficiency and costly maintenance of the failing made up currency. The committees favored a return to the LOD as official currency of the Communes. The gaming company Red Gamer announced the development of "Today we riot", a console game (soon to be adapted to a PC and Laptop version too) with political messages (clearly leftist and quite revolutionary). The game is pixelated and placed in a dystopian capitalist future where the player is a trade union leader, a hero leading to the liberation of the lower classes against the capitalist and fascist threat. The game features fighting off the state and establishing a socialist regime everywhere were you go. The game is pretty politicized, given it's theme, attracting some critiques, but most of people had claimed it to be fun, but rather short, pointing out that it's story and gameplay time is not long enough, nor immersive. The gaming company stated that "the game is still in early development and more updates to it will come"

Meanwhile, the newly establishing "The Mockingbird" film company (also owned by workers co-op in the film industry) had announced a big project over the creation and production of a new movie, this time LGBT themed, as many producers in the new company considered the current film industry around the world to overlook the gay culture and the community as a whole. Hoping to compete with other huge titles like the Sci Fi themed movie "Lost Space", the producers had launched "Jonathan and Jake", a gay movie themed movie revolved around the story of a young man in 1900s Luthorian society, a very conservative and capitalist oriented society. The young man called Jonathan finds it difficult to accommodate to the society he is living in, finding himself not interested by business nor politics, as well struggling to form a stable marriage, all this under the heavy supervision from his family who expects him to give birth to a successor of his successful family, all while he is between truth and lie, struggling to find his real sexual inclinations, in a highly religious and condemning society. The character is realizing that his affairs with other men are part of his nature, but not after numerous visits to the therapist and denial. In the end, Jonathan meets Jake, a servant of his very close friend, with whom he falls in love and with whom he runs. The story is based on the book of Oscar Gayoso, the important anarchist leader and organizer, as well diplomat and philosopher, writer of many philosophical and political books.

Security tightened following another terrorist attack, arrests done on suspected criminals

The anarchists will increase security with more militiamen ready to defend key objectives deemed under the threat of terrorist attacks. Narayana had informed that these men might had took refuge by now in Malivia, though the source is not yet verified, awaiting more check ups in the Communes by the inspectorates first, before concluding it.

Lodamese civil war to come to an end?

The Lodamese civil war is long gone specialists and analytics say, mostly because the Republic of Lodamun, the liberal illegally propped up regime is failing apart after the collapse of the Liberal Party, as well with the retreat of anarchist militias from the battlefield, resulting in possible diplomatic talks to officially end the war. International Front militia to depart for Keymon

The International Front, currently in ownership of the Communes, had voted in concordance with the discussions held by anarchists in the independent, anarchist organization (The Internationale), it was decided that the International Front would depart free from the approval of the Syndicalists to help the communities in Keymon. The 20.000 militiamen will be given the role to protect the citizens, offer them shelter, safety, basic needs and encourage them to form Communes through peaceful and mutual cooperation and association. The International Front elected military leader had stated that, despite bad rumors about these actions, that "our militia is not part of the United Communes, nor we act in their name somehow, as well, our mission is merely humanitarian in nature, wishing to stabilize as much as we can, creating a perimeter of safety and protection for citizens of Keymon to take refuge in. While we occupy temporarily the place, we also plan encouraging people to voluntarily associate themselves in Communes and aid each other.". It is yet to be seen how the slow redeployment of the militia will take effect on the war, with the militias planning to settle in Jamestown. The operations are to seize and secure the area, giving people rations and ensuring that the people are happy and safe from harm.

New militia created, with additional 5000, mostly formed of sexual minorities

The anarchists had succeeded to reform the military in order to create divisions oriented around something, like this special, not met before gay militia. It's name is "People's Queer Militia", oriented at defending not only the anarcho-communist values of the regional councils, but as well ensuring a front for LGBT and other sexual, racial, religious, national, or any other minority to fight under. The new militia is even more antifascist and it will be utilized to disperse the fascists and other radical reactionary degrading elements of the Lodamese society as well aiding in the cause of the anarchists from Orean. Furthermore, the anarchists had ensured that the new militias are all under the banner of Black Guard, a mere idea of a united anarchist militia, without any real powers or prerogatives outside an idea on workers liberation. New weaponry, equipment and vehicles to be acquired by anarchists from Vascania

The communes had announced extensive deals with Vascania over military pieces and improvement in all domains. The mutinies in Lodamese army slowed down, with few ships acquired by anarchists as well with some troops, but mostly lately the equipment was brought from outside via the black market, or more recently, through trade with Vascania.

International medium to expand recognition of the Communes, possible internal recognition of independence

The International forum had showed increasing openness for recognizing the legitimate independence of the Communes, which is independent for more than a decade now, but still awaiting official recognition both internally and externally. Erhart Simson had done extensive work on this and petitioned and proposed projects both internally and externally to persuade the public, the officials from Providence and the diplomats who make up the World Congress to understand the situation in Lodamun and value the opinions and will of the people, who through the ratification via referendum of a socialist constitution, showed their clear intent to remain a sovereign free territory, devoid of the terrors that the capitalist system brings, based on solidarity and equality, and not oppression. Till now four nations had officially recognized the Communes: Medina, Vascania, Dundorf and Liore. In the future, it is expected for far more nations to agree with the Communes' independence. Only time will tell.

Lodamese anarchists demand the extradition of all terrorists

The anarchists were not contented with the Malivian actions in handing out only one perpetrator and ignoring the rest, thus furthering lobbying and pressuring the Malivian authorities to hand out the terrorists. The anarchists threatened with World Congress case against Malivia. Meanwhile on the streets the violence continued as anarchists are discontented with the fundamentalist resurgence in highly anarchist dominated areas, many people blocking off people from speaking anything pro religion and violent counter protests to stop religious freedom. Many people fear an extremist religious resurgence that could destabilize the region. Lodamun is not unfamiliar, and is not first time they go through these kind of fundamentalist non sense. This time the anarchist legislators are considering pacifying the crowds with the promise to bring justice to this case and to the horrible crimes done by the terrorists. Not only this, but the presence of armed militiamen and locals is increasingly seen, especially around farms, shops and slaughtering houses are, for fear of another attack.

In Malivia, increased anarchist support was reported in Hitam, as local groups grew fed up with the caste system and the religious-conservative rule. These people are increasingly violent and cases of houses raided were reported. The victims are known supporters of religious fundamentalism and of the Cow Protection army. This alongside clashes with the police and local peaceful protests resulted in many of them being jailed or persecuted.

Schooling to be reformed, new improved and modernized anarchist schools

The educational system had seen a decline in recent decades, across Lodamun. With the anarchist revolution led to large democratization and modernization of the society, especially in the Communes. Despite this, and the clear economic growth and political stabilization, the educational system was disregarded, all until now. The anarchists, especially with the help from Oscar Gayoso and Jacob Patel, had built a project to revitalize the system.

The plan included the radical and sustained reform of the education and schooling as a concept. Till now, the education was made through dogma and instilling discipline, which is considered immoral and not efficient by anarchist philosophers, thus coming with the idea of self managing free schools (or autonomous social centers). This reform, alongside opening of infoshops, free shops, hacklabs, libraries, independent cafes or cinemas, the anarchists decided that the schooling system should teach and help students in a non-hierarchical and autonomous space (free of dogmas and propaganda) in pursuing educational exchange and skillsharing. The project is estimated at 1 billion LODs over the course of 5 years, in which the committees plan to completely change the school curriculum as well the methods of learning and the quality of the academic works. Malivia to be threatened again, discontent rising

The Malivian authorities showed no real answer after the anarchist threats with a WC case. Despite best efforts at communication and persuasion, the Malivian government is openly protecting terrorism as the state did not moved a single finger at helping the situation, and inside rumors are swarming around about the fact that most of the people that Malivia ever gave are not the troublemakers, as the anarchist inspectors and researchers discovered exactly who are the perpetrators and are again threatening Malivia with an international case to solve the mystery of the Cow Protection army and the terrorist attacks. This issue had sparked discontent in Malivian local leftist movements who joined the anarchist protests and small riots across major cities. One of the oldest standing party in recent Lodamese political history, the Syndicalist Union of Free Lodamun had undergone radical change with the new leader, David Lindauer, who aside personal victories and shining career, had transformed the syndicalist platform into a broader leftist party, adding in the National Workers Party alongside other libertarian and socialist movements, trade unions and intellectuals, broadening and diversifying the composition of SUFL. The syndicalist militias had ended their peacekeeping mission in Keymon, where the things are starting to slowly stabilize. These anarchists grew with even more experience of war after helping locals in keeping order and creating a sense of peace and stability via aiding the locals with what they could. This alongside recent military exercises done by the leftists in the north of Lodamun are signs of an incoming war in Lodamun, some claiming it to be the Second Civil War.

The finished Lodamese airports in Providence and Ellington are to receive 10 more planes from Vascanian Empire, who was generous in offering 10 7-Tarabai commercial airplanes at 30 million LODs each piece to improve the economy of Lodamun. Other projects approved by Lodamun were the renovation of the Lodamese infrastructure via the massive project to inject billions of LODs into the infrastructure in helping rebuilding and modernizing it. However these projects may be stopped and an emergency state be declared as the government officials made themselves clear via this bill where they threatened the LCP and the Communes with war. The Lodamese president, David Lindauer had made itself clear that he will not tolerate this discourtesy.

Lodamese anarchist government to stop pursuing the accusations pressed against Malivia

In a shocking move, mysteriously like, the officials from Orean stopped demanding for the arrested men and as well retracted their petitions to the WC over accusing Malivian officials of hiding terrorists. The act came with lack of popularity as people are wondering over why the investigators stopped pressing the charges to bring the perpetrators to justice. The officials expressed themselves as such:
"It is to be said that our investigations were misguided, finding the wrong men, Malivia being unable to send the right men to us, and fearing possible accusations their not responsible off had sent random men to us. While it is true that all this is shady and the convicts sent to us where innocent, we can agree there was a big misunderstanding at the middle and our investigators found possible new path that the terrorists did not left for Malivia but for possible other nations in the artanian continent."

This had created mixed answers from the general public, who cannot understand the sudden change, while others feel there is something at the middle preventing the investigator to press for the charges and expose the truth behind the closed doors. The authorities had tried to calm down the people that no new terrorist attack will happen on Lodamese soil as the number of guards and militiamen protecting major city centers and various farms, especially where cow meat is located.

Referendum held, majority wishes to stay

Following the recent possible threats with annexation from the Lodamese government and the disastrous elections, many wondered, especially the anarchist committees if the population of the United Communes were satisfied with the independence and if their willing to defend it. The referendum, in order to be more fair and ensure no manipulation or fraud is made, the Deltarian overseers had been sent to Orean and St Martin to watch the unfolding of the democratic elections. People, who previously accepted the Socialist Constitution had voted overwhelmingly in favor to keep the status of the Communes and expand upon it's programs, 89% being the percentage of people wishing to maintain the independence and further expand it, while 7% were neutral or indifferent over the issue, being contented with the regime, and 4% who had said they dislike the regime and are not happy how things are ran.

Over the past years the Communes grew in popularity among social and religious minorities, as well poor and working class people who had seek refugee here, alongside people from Malivia who were oppressed by Malivian authorities, finding a new safe and stable home in the Communes. While not everyone agrees with anarchist philosophy or practices in the Communes, many praise it's existence as an oasis of peace and prosperity to take refugee in when the dark times come.

Lodamese left to protest alongside others as the PNG is proposing controversial laws

The recent early elections in Lodamun held on April 4774 after the collapse of the feudalist party brought shocking results for the LCP, who had lost tremendous support. While the reasons are not fully known, it is known that while most of the voting base of the LCP was formed of far left and workers, the support of their reforms now are ever growing, as PNG showed itself as more radical than it appeared in elections. Many people feel discontented with the People's Nationalist Guard agenda, which had divided the nation. Lodamese gay movie to be released, to be a major win for LGBT representation

Mockingbird Production preparing for showcasing for the first time a Lodamese movie

Following the announcement of a major film project and the construction of a new filming studio in Lodamun, the company had established itself in Orean, where in cooperation with the authorities built up the scenery and background for the movie "Jonathan and Jake". The producers though had changed their mind on many things previously announced, including a rebrand of the movie under a new name and with a new narrative, different from the previous one.

The announced gay movie "Jonathan and Jake" had suffered some important changes. First of all, the movie was renamed to simply "Jonathan", as to emphasize even further on the main character and for making the name more catchy with the public audience. Second, the story was changed, introducing someone alongside Jake, Hugh West, plus many other side characters introduced. The gay theme as well the 1900s Luthorian landscape was kept in the final product, the changes happened in the story itself, the movie featuring new fledgling actors like Gabriel Devitt playing as Jonathan, the main character whose coming to terms with his sexual orientation is pivotal to the movie's plot, while Jacob Duncan (playing as Jake, the lover of Jonathan) and Victor Lewis (playing as West, his dear friend and ex-crush) respectively helping out young Jonathan to find out who he really is, through erotic and romantic experiences each. The movie was edited and screenplay by Rohan Foster, who had showed talent in his previous short films, scoring successful movies through his hard work. Meanwhile Dany Pomeroy had took good care of cinematography and of music, the movie's ost being fully original under the Mockingbird Production, who having own orchestra formed up of renowned Lodamese musicians had composed soothing and 1900s stylized songs and soundtracks to accompany the main character in his search for the truth.

The narrative had went through many changes and remakes, as Julian Wright had sought for the best story, furthering the goal for a major box office success, as the gay film industry in Terran had not seen any important movie in the past decades, maybe centuries. The final draft included the story of a young Jonathan, who growing up in the upper class went to prestigious university of Luthori. He came from very conservative family, which was the norm back in the 90s, family which pushed the young man toward a career in entrepreneurship, which would had given him financial security and a rich life. Though, the boy had seen more interest for philosophy than economics, as well growing more and more attached of one of his roommates, Jake Sands, who had reciprocated the feeling, between them growing a strong relationship, soon surpassing a normal friendship. Despite them being very cautious and close to each other in a romantic way, the relationship fails to materialize and in the end, following the end of college, Jake grew distant from Jonathan and eventually marrying a woman, closing in the chapter with Jonathan, who was heartbroken by his friend's change in behavior, observing him to be as well more rude with his servants. Following many attempts at switching his sexuality, he gives up after even his therapist could not heal him, realizing of own sexuality. The movie ends with the main character slowly failing in love for one of the servants Jake had at his old mansion, them two ending up in a romantic and erotic relationship, which ended with them running away. The movie contains scenes with nude and gay romantic acts, having thus a +18 mark. The movie is set to address the old capitalist society of the 1900s, set in a Luthorian landscape, with beautiful background and ambiance, in which a man tries to survive an unfair system and judging society, in his quest for realizing who he really is has to go through many obstacles, including family, tradition and even his friends.

The movie based on Oscar Gayoso book (with some changes from the initial narrative of the book) is expected to garner a lot of popularity among the LGBT population of Terran, the movie being on a 3 million filming budget, being filmed in Orean, in the Mockingbird's studio, with a running time of 145 minutes and distributed by Lodamese Film Company, an associate of Mockingbird Production. It is yet to be seen how this gay movie will fare and age, Oscar Gayoso and Harry Foster being fairly positive about the work they've done and expect for a major box office hit.

Cahtice: Deltarian First Minister Horak while attending a military demonstration in Ushalande has publicly stated that Deltaria, "support commune independence in Lodamun". According to the First Minister the people living in the united communes, which have become independent some time ago, have democratically voted to remain independent and trust their newfound government. "Our ideal is one of national sovereignty. The communes are by law independent and their people have clearly voiced their support for the socialist government there. While we do not agree with the ideological direction of the communes we find that national and popular sovereignty are more important then ideological differences, we recognize the United Communes as independent and they should stay so."

According to Horak the current situation in Lodamun is volatile, "the Lodamese government is attempting to annex the communes back into the country. I think that this is a unwise decision. The situation in the region has stabilized and remains stable despite the division. Such a re-annexation of territory of which the people want to stay independent is a disaster waiting to happen and could lead to a continuation of the civil war. Deltaria will monitor the situation and calls on the Lodamese government to withold their re-annexation plans for the sake of stability and humanity."

According to some sources Deltarian intelligence agencies are monitoring the situation in Lodamun. It is unclear how the Lodamese government will respond and what Deltaria may do if it comes to re-annexation.
