Hawu Mumenhes Minister of Defence Heads to Rechtenburg for Urgent Meeting

  • Hawu Mumenhes Minister of Defence Wilburn Battersby has embarked on an impromptu visit to the Mordusian capitol for urgent talks with government officials, according to guidance just released by the Defence Ministry. Speculation as to the subject of Battersby's talks has centered on repeated allegations of foreign corruption floated by prominent Mordusian citizens. Reached by phone, the famously bellicose Defence Minister appeared to downplay such speculation. 'Look I think the ZIIR rumors are bullshit to tell you the truth. Lucile's best days are behind her, she's a has-been and washed up. These outbursts are just her way of trying to stay relevant. She's causing problems, so she's got to be dealt with. But frankly there's much more important shit to worry about,' said Battersby. (mid-to-late 4380s-ish, contemporary with the introduction of slavery and concentration camps in Saridan)

Foreign Ministry Condemns Mordusian Socialist Party, Attributes Failure of Recent Diplomatic Visit to Meddling by Socialist Party Officials

  • Hawu Mumenhes Minister of Defence Wilburn Battersby's recent impromptu visit to Rechtenburg for bilateral talks was reportedly a failure according to guidance just released by the Hawu Mumenhes Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In its statement, the Foreign Ministry attributed the failed outcome to misdirection and derailing by leaders of Mordusia's Socialist Party. 'These people inserted themselves in the middle of sensitive diplomatic talks by presenting themselves as authorized personnel within the Mordusian government. They set up a meeting with the Minister of Defence but then pretended not to know why we had requested the meeting. When the Minister showed up for the meeting, they left him waiting in the lobby of Socialist Party headquarters with only a halfhearted suggestion that he contact Green Party officials instead,' said a Foreign Ministry official who requested anonymity to discuss Ministry developments unauthorized for publicization.

This is not the first time Mordusian Socialist Party officials have been accused of derailing diplomacy with foreign powers. Officials from a government bordering Mordusia told Hawu Mumenhes authorities that a recent international agreement with support from most of Mordusia's major parties was abruptly canceled by Socialist Party leaders claiming veto authority over some foreign affairs matters. Hawu-Mordusian relations had historically been warm. Asked if the recent episode might permanently damage relations, the anonymous Foreign Ministry official said, 'yes it will, no doubt about it. Mordusian government and foreign policy just looks to be a mess right now. Random people make outlandish claims and pronouncements on the strength of flimsy credentials and no evidence. Their cabinet is half empty. They've run to the front of the Olympics organizing committee but have arranged almost nothing ahead of the fast-approaching games. And that after accusing the prior hosts of match fixing. They have unspeakable atrocities occurring within the borders of a rogue neighbor and yet they are not only sclerotic, they're actively undermining intervention,' the official insisted. Foreign Ministry officials did not say whether they would attempt to follow-up with Mordusian Green Party officials or whether they might abandon talks in favor of other international partners instead. Morrison to Massa: Cancel the Deal, or Hawu Mumenhes Will

  • Hawu Mumenhes President Lemarcus Morrison addressed a hastily-arranged press conference today to deliver remarks regarding reports of a force withdrawal agreement reached by the Istalian and Saridan presidents. 'This deal is marked by the expediency, cowardice, and mental impoverishment of its negotiators,' the President remarked disparagingly. 'The Massa Agreement legitimizes the trafficking and sale of human beings and it rewards the vile Saridan regime for its wretched crimes, all in an attempt to meekly elude the righteous defense of Taphmēi. Such fearfulness and imbecility is unlike any we have seen or would ever have expected from the likes of Istalia, which has been upstanding and unwavering in the defense of justice, righteousness, truth, and peace,' the President lamented. Asked how Hawu Mumenhes would respond to the development, the President revealed, 'we will ask President Massa to cancel his Agreement with haste. Do not take it to your legislators. Do not appropriate public monies for its implementation. To the commanders of the Istalian forces in the Central Seleyan Theater we say: hold the line, do not withdraw, and accept none of the wretched souls defiled by the evils of the Spencers. Let it be known to the world that no cent shall be paid in exchange for the liberty of man. For if any should ever change hands, the Swarming of Nošep and the terrible Deluge of Sepseymawo shall rise up against your armies and rent them asunder into the sea.' Following the press avail, the President issued orders deploying two Expeditionary Strike Groups to rendezvous with the Istalian fleet in Central Seleya. The Presidential order directed the large contingent of ships, combat jets, and reconnaissance and supply vehicles to blockade any exit attempt by the Istalian fleet. The deployment order also directed Her Imperial Majesty's forces to take custody of any captives the Saridan regime attempts to transfer to the Istalians, and to confiscate or disrupt the transfer of funds between Istalian and Saridan officials. Admiral Dismisses Dankuk Propoganda but Welcomes Northern Council Deliberations

  • Hawu Mumenhes Navy Rear Admiral Mpinkulu Nakht-Thmesie has dismissed recent reports of Dankuk's infiltration of Saridan borders as simple propaganda. The Rear Admiral spoke to reporters by phone from the Imperial Fleet en route to Saridan waters. The Rear Admiral is currently serving as flag officer for the fleet's support wing. 'Those reports are completely without credibility. They have no factual legitimacy whatsoever,' the Rear Admiral declared. 'What we're seeing from Dankuk is a continuation of the regime's use of propoganda as a substitute for genuine foreign policy. They did it during the Kazulia-Dankuk War where they claimed to have nuclear capabilities only to be shamed into admitting it was all a lie mere months later,' the Rear Admiral recalled. 'We are aware that various Imperial allies have been working to help rehabilitate the Dankuk regime by normalizing relations with it so it can eventually play a more constructive role in global affairs. What is clear is that the rehabilitation is not yet ripe, and there is far more work to do in supporting the Dankuk regime before its foreign and combat services are mature enough to play the leadership role that Dankuk's political authorities clearly desire for the regime,' said Nakht-Thmesie. The Hawu Mumenhes Admiralty's assessment seemed to be vindicated when the Dankuk government's more detailed 'intelligence report' regarding a supposed special forces squad's engagement with Saridan security officers on Saridan territory was retracted by Drania mere hours after release.

The Rear Admiral's tone was entirely different in regards to reports of Northern Council deliberations, however. 'That the Empire's Northern Council allies are considering how best to approach the Saridan situation is welcome development. Northern Council is a large element within the international system, and its efforts to engage constructively cannot be ignored. We believe that their deployment of reconnaissance vessels is precisely the right first step, and we will be in contact with the Northern Council Secretariat regarding establishing intelligence sharing between allied forces for the duration of the conflict,' the Rear Admiral revealed.

The Hawu Mumenhes fleet of two Expeditionary Strike Groups of which Rear Admiral Nakht-Thmesie's support wing is part is nearing Saridan waters and is expected to engage any Istalian forces in-theater upon arrival. 'Our mission from The Free Kingdom's political leadership is to disrupt any efforts to implement the Massa Plan. We will complete that mission with ferocity and success,' said Nakht-Thmesie. Hawu Mumenhes Foreign Minister pans Mordusian Prime Minister's white nationalism and urges Hulstria to abandon Massa Plan

  • Asked about recent inflammatory remarks by newly-elected Mordusian Prime Minister Cornelia Nixon, Hawu Mumenhes Foreign Minister Jabril Tutankhmumenhes Turner told reporters, 'we don't begrudge her for her reading comprehension challenges. The Mordusian education system has not been in prime shape recently. That economy has always struggled to meet the often daunting needs of Mordusia's students. So the fact that Prime Minister Nixon can't read or correctly pronounce ḥꜥȝsu Mnhs is forgivable enough,' the Minister insisted. 'What is not forgivable unfortunately is Ms. Nixon's offer of Mordusian territory as a veritable safe haven for enslavement, torture, and forced labor of Saridan families, nor her threat to expatriate her political opponents across the border where she revels in the fantasy that they too might be tortured and enslaved,' said the Minister. 'This is not a game. This is not a matter of Ms. Nixon's illegitimate politics or the derangement of her white grievance obsessions and insecurities. This is a matter of liberty and autonomy of man. This is a matter human rights and human agency. They are given to us by nature or our creator, and they cannot be so wantonly abandoned on the whim of imbeciles and mental health out-patients like Frederick Manningham-Buller and Cornelia Nixon. Nor can they be bartered away for political expedience by the likes of Istalian President Massa. Nor can degenerate criminals like the Spencer regime be reasoned and treated with when they attempt to rob men, women, and children of these inalienable rights. Human rights and human agency and human liberty are what make us human. When we stand by and watch the wretched who have degraded to the level of beasts attempt to rob our fellow man of that which makes him human, we too become degraded and lose a portion of our humanity in the process,' the Foreign Minister declared.

Asked if the Empire would take a similarly hard line against the Hulstrian government given its recent embrace of the Massa Plan, Minister Turner was more circumspect. 'First of all we'd like to congratulate President Stuhr on his electoral victory. It will of course not be lost on President Stuhr that it was choice, and freedom, and the agency of Hulstrian voters which, through their ballots, allowed President Stuhr to occupy his current office. For us, like the Hulstrians, democracy is not an aspiration, it is a way of government and a way of life. It is meant to be practiced and lived, not merely hoped for. As men and women of shared values, to President Stuhr we say: the men and women of Saridan have been robbed of such democracy. They are being tortured in hopes of convincing them to renounce their democratic right as we speak,' the Minister replied. 'President Stuhr is absolutely right to worry for the safety of Saridan families during the coming conflict. That is why President Morrison has directed all Hawu Mumenhes officials to at all times abide by the strictures of the Hakim Doctrine, and to apply them rigorously to every plan, every question, and every doubt that may arise,' the Minister revealed. 'We would urge President Stuhr to learn more about the Hakim Doctrine, and then we would ask him to reconsider casting his lot with the coward and knave. For the question must be answered: is more harm done to the families of Saridan by bartering them away as livestock; or by leaving them to be tortured, maimed, and murdered while Massa bets on the trustworthiness of the Spencer regime? Or indeed would it be better to support the brothers and sisters of man in Saridan by helping supply them with the tools they require to overtake their captors and wrest their liberty and democracy again?' the Minister concluded.

Two Expeditionary Strike Groups of the Hawu Mumenhes Navy are said to be nearing Saridan waters and are expected to engage both Istalian and Saridan forces shortly. (mid-to-late 4380s-ish, contemporary with the introduction of slavery and concentration camps in Saridan)

• An F-5 Tornado struck 3 miles away from Taeyangdou. The casualties are yet to be determined however some believe as this is Dankuk’s first tornado in years that the death count could be very high. It struck in the rural town of Jiangdao, where it is estimated at least 1,500 people live. The tornado touched down around 3:00 P.M and ravaged the town before moving 2 miles west and then dissipated. The towns road system alongside there crops have been destroyed and a reconstruction effort has already been proposed by the senate. However some citizens are know asking for foreign aid to assist them. One citizen, Chun Minso has even released a statement to our station which we will kindly play for her:
Hello. I am Chun Minso and I lived in the destroyed town Jiangdao. The people here need help immediately and I am afraid that with the Imperial senate debating this bill, people will die before they can send help. I encourage the Dankuk government to allow foreign aid to assist our small town and help our people before it is too late. Please I beg of you.
