NORDIC: Joint agreement between Kazulia and Hutori on Aerospace.Joint Agreement between Kazulia and Hutori forms combined organisation to provide aerospace protection in North.Joint Monitoring and Control Centre North at RKAF Hringariki, the central monitoring and control centre of the Northern Defence Integrated Command (NORDIC).11th August, 4299In a joint agreement between Defence Minister Carolyn MacKellar of Hutori and Defence Minister Hilde Granlund of Kazulia, it had been concluded that for the sake of ensuring defence of the northern hemisphere's aerospace and monitoring/providing early warnings to various nations, both nations would combine/pool their aerospace defence and interception technologies into an integrated platform. The agreement in question is the recently renewed Hutorian-Kazulian Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation which obligated the two nations to increase cooperation between each other in all regions/aspect of defence. Defence Minister Granlund meet with Defence Minister MacKellar in Bekenial to discuss the formation of an aerospace warning, monitoring and control system as a means of ensuring the northern hemisphere's security and promoting joint defence integration between the two nation's armed forces.
Coined the Northern Defence Integrated Command Centre (NORDIC), the organisation will serve as the quasi-guardian angel for the northern hemisphere in the area of aerospace defence. It is expected to pool the resources of the Royal Kazulian Air Force's Aerospace Command and Control Centre and the Hutorian Air Force's Aerospace Defence Command. The integrated command centre will also utilise the various radar systems of the Royal Kazulian Air Force based in RKAF Hringariki, the nation's most technologically advanced intelligence support complex. Hutorian early warning systems are expected to be integrated into the integrated command system to improve the performance of the Kazulian early warning systems.
NORDIC's early warning centre as previously mentioned will be stationed at RKAF Hringariki however, the command centre is expected to be based in RKAF Hammerskjold. The organisation is to be jointly commanded by Lieutenant General Thorleif Ramsland (RKAF) and Major General Garret Isaac (HAF), both of whom have been former operational commanders within their respective armies. NORDIC, according to Defence Minister Granlund, is to be integrated into the Northern Council to open the organisation to the various member states of the organisation. The organisation's operations are expected to commence once the various systems have been completed integrated and once Hutorian and Kazulian commanders give the "green-light" for aerospace monitoring and control operations to begin. With the formation of the NORDIC, could northern hemispheric aerospace be safer?
Government offers political asylum to fleeing Hulstrians.Government offers political asylum to non-Dundorfian speaking Hulstrians; slaps Hulstria with sanctions.Hundreds of asylum seekers pour into the Immigration Division Office in Ulf. 11th August, 4299The government has offered political asylum to the hundreds of non-Dundorfian speaking Hulstrians in Hulstria currently fleeing government oppression of their native language and culture. A motion passed within the Stortinget obligated the government to construct integration facilities for asylum seekers. This law coupled with the government's policy on refugees which stated that they will be given integration aid, has created the perfect mixture for a government response to the situation unfolding in Hulstria. Currently hundreds of non-Dundorfian speaking Hulstrians are fleeing the government's stomping out of the Gao-Showan and Mikuni, cultures and language in the nation whilst promoting the forces assimilation of the Dundorfian language into the nation. The Ministry of Health and Social Services announced that it had received an increase in their annual spending budget in-order to deal with the influx of refugees coming into the country.
It was not until recent has the government begun to approve political asylum applications. Prior to this, the government had denied asylum seekers for various reasons including integration issues and xenophobic policies imposed by the various conservative governments of the past. Around 1,000 persons have applied for political asylum in Kazulia since the Hulstrian government launched its attack against the various ethnic groups within the nation. Applications are political asylum sky rocketed to about 10,000 when the Hulstrian government banned the Hulstro-Mikuni language thus forcing the various Hulstro-Mikuni speakers to drop their native tongue and adapt to the Dundorfian language. Said individuals are expected to be a bit more comfortable in Kazulia due to the fact that for more than a century the government's policy on languages and education was that children were obligated to know Kazulianisk and any other language native to the country, including Kyo, Hulstrian, Kunikata, Draniano Egelian; with the mandatory languages being Luthorian and Kazulianisk.
The Police Security Directorate stated that it will be vetting the various asylum seekers for possible connections to terrorism and serious crimes. The Directorate's press office stated that it will be keeping security of the nation as a paramount principle when vetting the various asylum seekers for integration. Recently appointed Director of the PSD, Agnar Elstad stated that persons found to have connections with terrorist organisation and organisations aimed against the state will be immediately deported and barred from entering Kazulia forever. He stated that the strong stance against terrorism comes amid global tensions. He cited that he knows that individuals from Hulstrian intelligence will attempt to infiltrate Kazulia under covers of refugees and asylum seekers, however he stated that he is confident that with the internationally respected counter-intelligence capabilities of the Police Security Directorate said persons will be uncovered and punished under both the
Espionage Convictions Act and the
Counter-Terrorism and Internal Security Act.
Ostland Crisis: Kazulian troops poised at border as Hulstrian intensifies occupation grip.Kongeforsvar warns of return to times of Hulstro-Kazulian War as troops mass on border with Ostland with plans to enter former colony.Armoured personnel carriers (APCs) of the 20th (Reserve) Armoured Brigade in transit to Kazulia's Border with Ostland.11th August, 4299The situation in Ostland has entered an extremely dangerous phase as Kongeforsvar troops and armoured vehicles on the border with Ostland in preparation for a possible international response to the crisis. Kazulian Commanders plan to discuss their contingency plan before members of Defence Command and the Defence and National Security Council. On the Ostland side of the border, Hulstrian troops have been observed in scenes similar to the months prior to the Hulstro-Kazulian War. Commanders warned the Hulstrian military contingent and General Dietrich Hohensteinthat the current situation has the implications of bringing the Kongeforsvar once more into contact with Hulstrian troops and could result in a return to the times prior to the Kazulian won, Hulstro-Kazulian War.
The Kongeforsvar has maintained a formidable military prowess which has been quoted as being better than nations such as Dorvik and Hutori in certain instances. Admiral Einar Osterholt said: "It is possible that with the current temperature of the situation it can lead to an internationally supported ground operation. However, we are currently taking precautions to ensure our nation's security." He added that troops on Israel's northern border "are of more than division strength and would allow a large-scale ground offensive if necessary". A division is usually at least 10,000 troops. Psychological warfare battalions have installed loudspeakers along the border with the aims of blasting messages in criticism of the Hulstrian occupation and Dictator Hohensteinthat's rule. With some instances of the loudspeakers encouraging the citizens of Ostland to apply for citizenship in Kazulia if they wish to leave the country.
Humanitarian staff are currently trapped in Ostland as the government there has barred persons from both entering and leaving the country. As the military prepares Hjaltland Leir for major international operations, it is expected that the government intends on finding a quick diplomatic solution for the release of humanitarian staff. It is expected that in the coming days or weeks, the government will liaise with its various allies including Hutori to formalise a strategy/tactic for a possible military intervention.
