Earlier this morning several military officials were present at the ceremony to commission the recently delivered KNOS-Queen Ingrid Multi-role Amphibious Assault Ship. The ceremony took place in Hafleikr, Hent and in attendance were government officials and royal officials. The vessel was constructed under the premise of improving the Kongeforsvar's operational effectiveness abroad and within the respective regional zones. The vessel was the first amphibious assault ship constructed for and by the kazulian military and is expected to be armed to the teeth with some of the most complex Vanukean and Kazulian military technology. During its sea-trials in the Sea of Majatra, the vessel visited several Vanukean coastal cities and the public were allowed to board the vessel and view the multi-purpose high tech vessel which took more than 1.1 Million production hours and about $900 Million LOD.
The vessel has been designed as a practical and versatile machine. When combining her technology the vessel is very efficient in the areas of energy consumption and defence. An analysis of the vessel's capabilities was conducted by the Center for Strategic Analysis. The vessel contains two massive hangers which were designed to carry combat vehicles such as tanks, armoured personnel carriers, amphibious landing crafts and containers. An aircraft hanger which can transport twenty (20) multi-role fighters plus five (5) flight deck parking spots in pure combat situations, eleven (11) multi-role fighters and ten (10) helicopters plus five (5) flight deck parking spots in mixed combat situations and twenty (20) helicopters plus five (5) flight deck parking spots in pure transport situations. The vessel is capable of carrying up to some 1500 crew members and passengers.
Due to the vessels multi-role capabilities the vessel can act as a basic amphibious assault ship capable of transporting vehicles and troops to support land operations. Also due to its multi-role capabilities the vessel an act as an aircraft carrier due to its VTOL and STOL capabilities attributes of its Ski jump ramp. Thus the vessel is capable of offering close-air-support to ground force or air superiority over a given battlefield. Apart from its combatant capabilities the vessel also acts as humanitarian vessel offering medical aid, as it has the capabilities of being a practical hospital ship.
The vessel is expected to rotate throughout the various naval squadrons or task forces, but the vessel is mainly bound to the 2nd Squadron "International Response Task Force, but after the second vessel is delivered both vessel are expected to be rotating throughout squadrons within period of three (3) months.

The military's Defence Command announced a snap drill earlier this morning with the aim of testing the Kongeforsvar's readiness to proceed into full combat readiness. The announcement by Defence Command comes after threats of force have been issued against the state by external forces. Chief of Defence Staff General Preben Ronningen stated that although the government may not take the threats seriously, he believed that the military should think ahead and go about conducting drills in order to analyse their readiness in the even of a conflict which endangers their interests. Hundreds of thousands of wartime reserves were called up to participate in the exercise, and it is being reported to be the largest military readiness exercise ever conducted in Kazulian military history.

As expected the military drills have a general operational focus with combined arms, as the Kongeforsvar has centred its operational effectiveness training through the use of combined arms, something that is rarely seen throughout most military today. Officials from Defence Command stated that although the drill is focused on combined arms, it will also be used as a means of fine tuning the capabilities and execution of several military concepts such as Intelligence gathering and analysis, reconnaissance, electronic warfare and airstrikes. More many, the drill will be the first time cyber defences and cyber offensive measures will be drilled. "The drill is expected to assess our response to potential attacks from external forces, apart from that it will assist us in seeing how quickly could we fend off said potential attacks and now put the attacks on the defencive," an official from Defence Command said.

It is expected that all branches of the Kongeforsvar will be in participation of the exercise as the drill is mainly focused on combined arms. The Air Force is expected to conduct close-air support and air superiority missions. Other units taking part in the drill include: the Navy, which with the introduction of the recently procured Multi-role Amphibious Assault Ship Queen Ingrid, will conduct carrier operations and other naval assets will conduct surface and anti-submarine warfare exercises. The Ground Forces, which will conduct special operations, search and rescue operations and fine tuning their defencive and offencive capabilities. The Home Guard, which will conduct rapid response and deployment drills along with several other subordinate branches such as the Coast Guard and Air Guard.

Official figures from the Ministry of Defence state that roughly 300,000 that is 50% of the current strength of the Kongeforsvar will be participating in the exercise with more than 400 assets from the navy, air force, home guard, ground forces and cyber defence force. The drill is expected to take place in all Fylkes including major cities such as Skalm, Thorhall and Eggther during a 3-4 day period.

Earlier this morning, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the possibility of full normalization of both diplomatic and political relations after correspondence between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the President of the Federation of Zardugal. The thaw in relations comes after Statsminister Jonathan Gudmundson called for a functional approach to re-asserting both Kazulia's place and role in international relations. For more than fifty-years the two nations have not had any diplomatic dialogue of the sort, might it be economically or politically both nations have always been very silent on each other's affairs. With the recent re-establishment of Zardic diplomacy and activity in the international spectrum, it is easy to assume that the thaw in relations is a direct response to the nation's eagerness to conduct trade. A question was thrown to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as to why the government, more-so the Minister decided to thaw relations with Zardugal instead of thawing relations with its closest neighbors, an official answered.

In a late night questions and answers segment conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs daily, questions pertaining to the government's response to the recent comment made by New Endralonian Foreign Minister Bernát Aguston. Mr. Aguston's statements come as a response to a similarly structured statement issued by the Office of the Statsminister in response to threats launched towards the government. In an already seemingly endless tit-for-tat, it would appear that the New Endralonians are adding fuel to an already unstable bonfire. Nevertheless, the stance has not changed, as it being regurgitated that "the Kazulians are adding insult to injury". Official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Joakim Nicolaysen answered several questions from reports which can be used as an indirect response to the New Endralonian Foreign Ministry. The following is a transcript of what was discussed:-

Kazulias Nyheter Reporter, Sylvi Asphaug: It appears that the confederation of new endralon does not appreciate the government's "hurtful" and "disrespectful" "attack against them." Could you offer insight on this?

It was and still is not our government's intention to please any government. It does not matter to us, whether they are displeased with our actions. In our justified and were adequate responses to gestures towards the government, more-so the nation. It is beyond me for whether they interpret this as hurtful or disrespectful it does not matter to this government. It is being said by the confederation that they were "unjustly attacked". Their "call to arms" and their baseless conflict between Trigunia during the Great Terran War is an "unjust attack". What our government executed, was an symmetrical response to their vexatious and frivolous actions. It is a recurring fact that the New Endralonian economy does not run on economics, but instead it runs on arrogance and is governed by the fundamental laws of stupidity.

Den Sosialistiske Reporter, Maja Brovold: In the Confederation's Foreign Minister's statements he stated that they "never nationalized the company and never planned to do so. Could it be said that this statement is in fact true?

It is easy for one to lie to himself for it easy for one to deceive himself. The Foreign Minister's statements is one of the most blatant lie to ever leave a person's mouth. Although they did not nationalize the company, they did show much intent on doing so. This was already confirmed by the Statsminister's Press Director Bjørnar Bremseth. Showing intent to do something is enough for you to plastered as a perpetrator or executor. In criminal law, intent is enough to have someone arrested and put behind bars. The reason why the Foreign Minister saw for relevance in the quoting of the percentages by which national assets were to be distributed is because he is a diplomat without pragmatism and flexibility to know the mechanics of business and business administration. All what was said in his initial comment was ironed out by either Mr, Bjørnar Bremseth or the oil company's press office. I will not offer further comment on that matter.

That is a very interesting question, which already answered. But for your convenience. It will have little to no effect. When the government announced the placement of an embargo against New Endralon we stopped trading with the nation as a whole. By this i mean, all goods coming from New Endralon was sent back and goods to New Endralon were barred from leaving Kazulia territory. A travel ban was placed onto the nation in response to the nationalization attempt. The freezing of assets will have no effect, as a notice from the Ministry of Trade and Industry was issued to several companies and investors, notifying them of a complete withdrawal of financial assets and investment.The gap which New Endralonian assets once held in this nation has been filled by the assets of another nation. So conclusion the embargo will have little to no effect as such we will not be held ransomed for an apology. An apology which will never be formed.

The Confederation Foreign Minister talks about a reassertion of Vanukean-New Endralon cooperation and also chastised this government for not focusing on other things. Could you possibly offer insight on this?

I do appreciate that you take into consideration by timeline. I saw the statements. He rambles on about "apologies". They know not of the true intentions for our establishment of relations with Vanuku. What is said has been said. The government awaits for the deported nationals as they will be re-integrated into society within immediate effect. It is expected that relations between Skalm and Cetatea Albă will not thaw, through any means. It is suggested that the two nations distant themselves and seek alternate paths to avoid confrontation. Speaking at the Chamber of Commerce and Business' conference on economic development, Statsminister Jonathan Gudmundson emphasised that his government, more-so the nation has always favoured the cause of regional economic integration and has no intention of interfering in other nation's internal affairs but instead wishes to champion the cause of greater regional cooperation through business and cultural venture. Gudmundson's call for regional economic integration comes after his recognition of the decline of regional economic integration throughout the world as nation move away from enhanced cooperation to to individual protectionism. Inter-regional business cooperation is crucial for economic development. Over the past years, there has been a decline in dialogue between the nations of this region. The Government has announced an agreement with the Mikuni-Hulstrian Government to exchange more than 2,000 Mikuni-Hulstrian political spies and saboteurs in exchange for the release of embassy staff held captive in Rabuzubāgu for a decade. This was a deal brokered by the Mikuni-Hulstrian Government that seemed likely to disrupt the region at a time when political turmoil and disputes are regular occurrences. Statsminister Jonathan Gudmundson announced via radio, that the embassies staff has been held captive in the Mikuni-Hulstrian capital as of 4135 and could be expected to return within a matter of months, which would also bring to rest the various conspiracies and tensions arising out of the crisis.

In a press conference, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Markus Wahlberg stated that the demands of the Patriotic Committee were extremely demanding, but also stated that it was the only foreseeable window of opportunity for the release and return of the hostages without the use of force in any form or fashion. It is unclear what drove the two bodies to come to mutual terms and state demands and requests but many speculate the show of force exerted by the state could be a factor in the swaying of minds from non-communication to stating demands.

A list of the prisoners to be released as per the agreement has been issued to via media outlets and has been flooded onto the internet by the Cyber Defence Force. Some 2,000 political spies and saboteurs captured and subsequently arrested by the General Directorate for Security, the state's main domestic counter-intelligence and security agency after a nationwide operation was carried out to counter the clout of supposed external forces.

Embassy staff were shuttled to Skalm earlier this morning following their release from Mikuni-Hulstrian captivity after a prisoner exchange deal was agreed upon between the Governments in Skalm and in Rabuzubāgu by which the government in Skalm would release 2,000 political spies and saboteurs in exchange for release of the hostages. Thousands of citizens flooded the streets of Skalm to greet the former prisoners.

The Office of Statsminister has taken a stern stance against the Constitutional Party, who in the past with support of the Mikuni-Hulstrian regent spurred much conspiracy towards the state, even claiming that the state was behind the emperor's assassination. The largest military exercise to hit the arctic since the years prior to the Great Terran War has commenced on the Fjellkjede Islands, as both Kazulia and Zardugal move towards a much closer mutual cooperation stance. The fifteen day exercise, named Cold Intervention, involving some 10,000 troops and accompanying equipment has been labelled by many as a move which will bring the two nations closer militarily, but other state that the move could been perceived by neighboring nations, specifically Mikuni-Hulstria as an attempt to prompt an offensive reaction.

Generalløytnant (Lieutenant General), Mikael Aleksandersen of the who is the presiding officer of the exercise stated that the exercise is our good intention. He further stated that the external nations should not take the exercise as an attempt to prompt an offensive reaction, nor should it taken as a provocative stance against them. He concluded by saying, "If the intentions of the drill is unknown to outside viewers/observers, it is inadequate and irresponsible to assume without knowledge."

The exercise launched by Kongelig Landethær represents the largest military exercise to be conducted onto the island since it was first claim by the State many centuries ago. It is expected to include five thousand troops from both the Zardic 17th Airborne Division and 2nd Marine Regiment and five thousands troops from both the 1st and 2nd Division. In First Election As a Singular Party List, Venstre Wins Big

The past four years saw the rise of a left wing, even far-left party list in Kazulia. This list is known as Venstre - Rød, Lilla og Grønt Allianse (The Left: Red, Green, and Purple Alliance), which was formed out of several smaller left wing parties and social movements, which included Feministerpartiet (Feminist Party), Kommunistpartiet (The Communist Party), Radikal Socialdemokrater (Radical Social Democrats), Økologiste Korstog (The Ecology Crusade), and Venstrepartiet (Left Party). The three colors represent leftists (red), feminism (purple), and environmentalists (green). While these small parties could not be viable in national elections previously, the united list has seen great strides forwards, and has been able to vocally market leftism in Kazulia. It is also speculated that the movement of the Nasjonal Arbeiderkongress (National Worker's Congress) towards a third way and greater market control has left many social-democrats and socialists involved previously in that party more keen to the Venstre message. Nevertheless, both parties have worked together to craft housing and welfare policy. Margritte Innsjø, Chairwoman of Urbane Politikk Institutt av Kazulmark (The Urban Policy Institute of Kazulia), has hailed the collaboration between the two parties as "landmark legislation in solving housing issues confronting the urban poor throughout Kazulia, which will over time create more socially resolute attitudes in government".

Venstre's leader, Axel Eriksen, is an energetic and collaborative figure. The 48 year old Eriksen was educated at Lillestrøm Universitet, where he gained a degree in economics, and continued to study law. He became involved in the radical trade union movement, originally as an anarchist, and helped several far-left unions organize. However, he became a socialist as time wore on, and became an outspoken thinker on policy issues confronting the poor. His involvement in Venstrepartiet and public profile were a driving force behind the unity of several parties into what is now Venstre. Today, Eriksen is looking at a potential appointment as Statsminister in cabinet appointments.

The party supports the continuation of peace-building methods in Mikuni-Hulstria, in order to protect Kazulian lives. It is speculated that if Venstre holds the Statsministeriet, they will step back largely on foreign affairs and defense, leaving these issues to the Nasjonal Arbeiderkongress members of the likely cabinet. Amidst these claims, the far-left newspaper Arbeideren stated that "Eriksen will have his hands full combating social inequalities in Kazulia, so it would make sense for him to take a moral abstention from the conflict at this time. He should let the people who plucked the boar's bristle dodge its horns [Kazulian idiom]".

Chief of Defence Staff Sigve Aagard is one a two week visit to Istalia to improve relations between the Kongeforsvar and the Forze Armate della Repubblica Istaliana. The visit has been marked as the first time Aagard visited a Majatran nation on official business. In a press release before leaving for the southern majatran nation, Aagard commented on the importance Skalm is placing on its new-found relationship with the state. It was stated that the main focus of the trip was to improve ties and forge possible deals in order to counter various security threats which hinder the two nations in similar manners.

Despite Kazulia's interest in Istalian technology and its own growing awareness of its various security threats, the main being the current freeze in diplomatic dialogue between Kazulia and Mikuni-Hulstria, the Kongeforsvar and Kazulia as a whole wishes not the seen as too close to certain nations. It could be stated that this is due to Kazulia's stance on dependency mainly focusing on being independent of support from various nations, with a growing attribute of self-importance.

Currently the two countries are not bound by any diplomatic pact or agreement, so it is evident that Aagard will focus on pushing on the formation of a mutual defence and cooperation agreement between the two countries. It is expected that Titanoboa 4190 could be on the table for discussion between General Aagard and the Istalian Defence Minister, who is expected to receive the Chief of Defence Staff once he arrives in Istalia tomorrow. From undisclosed sources Titanoboa 4190 is expected to be a multinational exercise with focuses on combined arms and combined operations, a military policy which the Kongeforsvar has had a strong emphasis on during its various military exercises and drills.
