Berg announces series of controversial Defence proposals.

Today the Defence spokesperson for the Far-Right Law and Justice party, Jonas Berg, announced a program of changes his party would make to the defence and military program of Kazulia if elected. The bill amongst other things would ban women from the military and allow the defence industry to construct biological weapons. It has already received wide criticism from other parties who claim it is sexist, and non-humane. This is the first open statement the parry has made about defence or military policy since its foundation, and Berg is largely seen as an extremely far-right potential party leader.

Berg joined the party last year and was announced as Defence Spokesperson in March of this year (4248), he has since made a series of statements about homosexuals and women in the military that could be seen as inflammatory.

CB initiates international provisions of Economic Stabilisation Fund.
Central Bank initiates international provisions of Economic Stabilisation Fund; pushes to invest in external economically critical industries.

Governor of the Central Bank of the Kingdom of Kazulia, Fredrik Tollefsrud announcing the initiation of the Economic Stabilisation Fund's Global provisions.
22nd December, 4248

Earlier this morning it was announced by Governor of the Bank of Kazulia, Fredrik Tollefsrud that the global provisions of the Economic Stabilisation Fund/Critical Investment and Stabilisation Fund would be initiated under instructions from the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Trade and Industry. The Critical Investment and Stabilisation Fund, when it was formed as a government legislation, was given international provisions, allowing for the fund to invest into the companies and industries such were either deemed beneficial to a nation's economic standing or critical important in ensuring stability within a nation or given region.

The Central Bank of the Kingdom of Kazulia (KazulBank) and the Office of the Supervisor of Insolvency are currently spearheading the promotion of the fund's global provisions, even having Minister of Finance Ludvig Sigurdorsson contacting various nations proposing the idea of the fund's investment into their industries and companies. Currently the state has already begun investment into Kanjor's coal, timber and glass industry, pumping an estimate of 500 Million KKR into each industry. This comes after Finance Minister Sigurdorsson spoke with Kanjorian Finance Minister Thaïs Bettencourt. From what inside reports such, for the Kazulian investment into three economically critical industries within Kanjor, the Kanjorian Prime Minister in return pledged to increase diplomatic relations and vowed to push for the ratification of an official trade agreement between the Kingdom of Kazulia and the People's Republic of Kanjor.

It is expected that the Critical Investment and Stabilisation Fund - Global would be able to invest more into the industries of Kanjor and other nations once it has obtained the revenue necessary to conduct such operations, but for more there is a 25 Billion KKR cap of the fund's accumulation policy (which is obtained through 13% of Government Net Investment annually and surplus wealth of the Agricultural and Oil and Natural Gas Sector combined).

Law and Justice Party win 27 seats. Call for leadership of Select Committees

In the election last week the recently formed Law and Justice Party won 27 seats in the Storniget under the Leadership of Anders Mathiesen and Sven Larsen. In a joint speech the men hailed this as a victory for Kazulian heroes and promised to hold the government to account on issues across the board, and use their new seats to bring down Government Initiatives and bills. Mathiesen promised to fight for the issues that had driven his campaign within the Storniget and vowed he would not bend to pressure from inside the parliament. Both men, and their entire front bench team one seats in the Storniget and they say that they will build the rest of their cabinet using their newly elected MP's.

Herr Larsen claimed that the Law and Justice party was "the only winner of the election," with the National Workers Congress losing seats and the Libertarian Party's seats remaining unchanged. He called for the Leader of the NWC, and Staatsminister, Stefan Hemmingsen to resign as he was seen as a loser and failure after failing to fend off the populist insurgence that the Law and Justice Party represented.

Herr Hemmingsen has lost this election, there is no denying it. Whilst he is still in government, he has a greatly reduced majority and thus his authority will be shattered!

Additionally the Leader and Deputy Leader called for the Law and Justice Party to be given leadership of two select committees in the Storniget. The Select Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and the Select Committee on Political and Constitutional Affairs. They nominated newly elected MP and agriculture spokesman Erik Thorsen as leader of the first, and Slyvi Mathiesen for the second. The claimed their parties deserved these committees as the public had given them a responsibility by voting for them, and they wanted to fight for the key issues of their campaign.

"Fuelling the conflict is not going to improve situation" ~ Chief of Defence Staff
Chief of Defence Staff slams Beiteynu and Malivia for fuelling conflict in Al'Badara; Calls upon respective nations to halt actions.
19th December, 4249

In a controversial move which has the capabilities of increasing tensions within Al'Badara and damaging to current peace process, it was reported by Malivian and Yeudish news outlets that both the Governments of Malivia and Beiteynu had concluded an arms agreement with opposing sides of the current conflict in Al'Badara in order to boost the drive of the conflict and "defeat the communists" respectively. According to Malivian media outlets, posterior to negotiations with the government of Al'Badara, the Malivian Ministry of Defence decided to sell surplus vehicles, equipment and a decommissioned frigate to the Badaran government for 875 million in MCR paid in gold and silver bullion. The deal, according to Malivian media outlets is expected to last around three to four years.

On a separate note, Yeudish media outlets announced the the Yeudish government will begin supplying the defunct mankind party with guns, ammunition and other war supplies. The response by the Yeudish Government appears to be aimed against the "communist" forces in Al'Badara. According to the Badara Support Act, the Yeudish Government intends on dispatching 2,000 military advisers to the conflict on the side of the defunct mankind party. Chief of Defence of the Yeudish Military, stated: We will defeat these communists and if the situation should worsen we will increase the number of military advisers. It has been rumoured that direct military involvement by the Yeudish military is not an unthinkable possibility.

In response to the moves taken by both governments, recently appointed Chief of Defence Staff, General Gunnar Krabsethve, slammed the Government of Malivia, the Government of Beiteynu and the Rav Aluf of Beiteynu, calling them warmongering for attempting to add fire to the conflict and attempting to disrupt the peace process. He stated that fuelling the conflict is not going to see the falls of communist forces, nor it is going to see stability be brought to the nation. Meaning that both Malivia and Beiteynu would have failed in their clandestine objectives.
Fuelling this conflict by pumping resources through both ends, is not going to assist either side in obtaining its clandestine strategic objective. The Governments of Malivia and Beiteynu must halt their actions to add fuel to this conflict for it puts the peace process in a difficult situation. The Rav Aluf of Beiteynu is the most moronic, idiotic, nonsensical human being to ever command a military. It is an open secret that Yeudish have been the source of instability within the region and the Rav Aluf's recent comments are a testimony of this open secret. Under the guise of attempting to "stomp out" an ideology, the Rav Aluf has made it his umbrella objective to incite instability and inequality within the region. I will not spare my criticism of the Yeudish military's idiotic ineffectiveness nor would i spare criticism for any military when I know that they are in the wrong.

The new Chief of Defence Staff stated that he does not intend on sugar-coating his words for the ears of politicians or for the ear of military leader lacking strategic thought. He stated: I am soldier, I am not a politician. I will tell what is necessary, when it necessary. I will not be light on the words i use, nor i will apologise for what i say. I can only tell you the truth and if i cannot tell the truth, i will have nothing to say. The Chief of Defence Staff stated that he does not intend on compromising on the security of kazulians abroad, thus he intends on responding to every instance which puts the lives of Kazulians in-danger stating: "If you endanger the sanctity of peace of our citizens abroad, I will endanger the sanctity of your citizens here."

Broken Relations: Kazulia ends relations with Istalia.
Kazulia cuts unofficial diplomatic and trade relations with Istalian Republic.
Image
Statsminister Aleksander Frydenlund announcing the end of unofficial diplomatic and trade relations between the Kingdom of Kazulia and the Istalian Republic.
27th October, 4250

Earlier this morning before members of the media and diplomatic staff, Statsminister Aleksander Frydenlund announced that the unofficial diplomatic and trade relations between the Kingdom of Kazulia and the Istalian Republic had ended, following a letter sent by the Istalian Government to the Statsminister. The statsminister, told reporters that Istalia's diplomatic mission (the Istalian Consulate) and related entities had been given a timeline to leave the Kingdom of Kazulia.

The move comes amid a letter/communique sent by the Istalian Government to the Office of the Statsminister calling on the Kingdom to consider the implication of war. According to the washed-down version of the letter released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the letter contains moments which seems as though the istalian government is attempting to justified their actions under the facade of them being righteously driven.

According to inside statements, the Statsminister in a reply to the communique sent, announced that the Kingdom of Kazulia will be ending the unofficial diplomatic and trade relations with the Istalian Republic. He said before reporters: "Time and time again, the Istalian Republic has threatened to kick us from the OCSC, we left. Lambasted our nation for correcting them by commenting on actions making by previous government (which they have no clear insight into). Istalia has set the impetus for the situation it is currently in. If it put itself there in the first place, it can get itself out, without calling on its "ally" Baltusia and other nations."

The Statsminister stated that he does not intend on harming Istalian citizens in Kazulia, he stated that although relations have been derailed, he does not intend on displacing istalian citizens for the actions taken by their government. He stated that it is advised that Istalian wishing to make contact with a representative from their government should send their requests through other nations' embassies and consulates.

"Fuelling conflict in Badara will not benefit Mikuni-Hulstria."
Chief of Defence Staff on Mikuni-Hulstria intervention into Badaran conflict.
2nd March, 4251

Chief of Defence Staff, General Gunnar Krabsethve stated that in-light of the looming conflict in Majatra, Mikuni-Hulstria's current debate on its intervention into the situation. With the international community slipping into chaos over the conflict, General Krabsethve stated that the does not feel comfortable to know that the conflict could be brought to Dovani with the possibility of a Mikuni-Hulstrian intervention into the conflict. With international tensions increasing throughout the world due to the conflict, General Krabsethve stated that a Mikuni-Hulstrian intervention into the conflict will bring instability to Dovani, similar to how it has brought instability and political uncertainty to Majatra.

He stated that it will not benefit the Mikuni-Hulstrian government to intervene into the conflict, for it has no reason to intervene into the conflict. He highlighted the fact that nations such as Beiteynu, Kafuristan and Istalia are actively fuelling political uncertainty and instability in the region of Majatra. "Mikuni-Hulstria's intervention into the political crisis will not benefit the government of Mikuni-Hulstria. Added to its already unstable political climate, Mikuni-Hulstria's intervention into the conflict will only bring increased tensions and unwanted dissidence to Dovani."

Frydenlund's Majatran Tour.
Statsminister on diplomatic relations strengthening mission throughout Majatra.
Image
Statsminister Aleksander Frydenlund announcing his intention to forge and repair diplomatic relations with Majatran nations.
16th April, 4252

Statsminister Aleksander Frydenlund has returned home after a two week tour of several majatran nations, some allies and some newly forged friends. Frydenlund landed in Sharba, Cobura, which was marked as the first visit of a Kazulian government official to the south-western majatran nation. In Sharba, the Statsminister met with Grand Vizier Alemayehu Abraha, Kandake Makeda I and other high-ranking officials within the coburan government. Among the discussions with Grand Vizier Abraha, Statsminister Frydenlund proposed the establishment of official diplomatic and trade relations with the government in Sharba as well as investment into the coburan economy. Frydenlund pushed the notion that cobura's involvement in the Majatran Revolutionary Socialist Federation (MRSF) would be damaging to political and economic stability in the country, recognising the controversy surrounding Al'Badara's membership of the MRSF being stemmed from it wanting to hide behind the other members of the bloc. He spoke on the matter of Cobura and the MRSF before members of an evening dinner reception.
Cobura's involvement in the Majatran Revolutionary Socialist Federation (MRSF) is not only a threat to its security, but it is also a threat to political and economic stability in the nation. It is imperative that the coburan government recognise the fact that nations are in the bloc in-order to hide behind the armies of other members.
The coburan government should not allow for certain members within its region to halt/derail its chances of development.

He then flew to Vanuku, Kazulia's most stable ally in Majatra. In Wiel he met with Head of Government Duke Aldrkai van Nachten and Foreign Affairs Minister Prince Léopold d'Orléans-Vasser as well as members of the National Socialist Party (Knstatak Onsmifrndé Prta) and the Crown Alliance (Spjogad Kronuz). The Kingdom of Kazulia and the Kingdom of Vanuku (formerly the Principality of Vanuku) have shared years of diplomatic relations. Although there have been instances which have threatened to break the bond between the government in Skalm and Wiel, most instances had resulted in a closer bond between Kazulia and Vanuku. On the table for discussion was official diplomatic and trade relations between Kazulia and Vanuku and further military cooperation between the Kongeforsvar and the Vanukean Armed Forces. Inside reports have stated that the possibility of a Vanukean military base in Kazulia was also on the table for discussion between Statsminister Frydenlund and Kanselier Aldrkai van Nachten, however, these speculations have not been confirmed by government sources.

Frydenlund's final visit was described as dangerous and challenging. To the surprise of observers of the tensions in majatra over the internal conflict in Al'Badara, Frydenlund met with officials of the Kafuri junta government in the nation's capital of al-Kasraj. Among the government officials present were First Minister Gen. Hayder Ilyas al-Kader, Foreign Minister Gen. Fahim Hisein Saqqaf and Defence Minister Gen. Hasib Navid Nagi. Several talking points were discussed, but the most viewed/attended discussion were talks between Frydenlund, General al-Kader and General Nagi on Kafuristan's involvement in the internal crisis in Al'Badara. International media have accentuated the premise for Kafuristan's sudden involvement into the internal conflict as a "divine intervention" driven by a self-established "right to intervene". Statsminister Frydenlund called on the Kafuri junta government to refrain from engaging in activities which could be described as hostile. He also urged the government to stop choosing sides and put a halt to its fuelling of the internal conflict. Frydenlund made an open-air address where he said:
The involvement/intervention of the various government (Istalia, Kafuristan, Beiteynu) has created the impetus for the conflict's out of control spiral. With nations each day casting support for either side of the conflict, said nations are contributing to the demise of stability in the nation and much wider region. I call upon the junta government of Kafuristan to refrain to engaging in actions which could be seen as hostile. In a similar manner, i call upon the governments of Beiteynu and Istalia to refrain from their fuelling of the crisis. It will not benefit anyone in the region if this crisis were to explode beyond its current magnitude.

"Istalian Government bound to misunderstand simple concepts." ~ Government Spokesman.
Government Communications Director comments on Istalian Government, Al'Badaran Civil Conflict and Nationalism in World Congress.
Image
Sveinmar Sigurbjoernsson, Director of Communications in the Office of the Statsminister, looks on during his briefing.
1st September, 4252

In light of global issues such as the Al'Badaran civil war, tensions between the Istalian Government and the rise of nationalist tendencies in the World Congress, the government through the Director of Communications in the Office of the Statsminister came out address the statements made by the government of Istalia on the statsminister's recent visit to Kafuristan, the Al'Badaran internal conflict and the rise of nationalism in the World Congress. Director of Communications in the Office of the Statsminister, Sveinmar Sigurbjoernsson, offered insight into the government's stance on the various talking points.

Kazulias Nyheter Reporter, Sylvi Asphaug: the Prime Minister of Istalia recently had some "fun" with reporters on the statements made by the Statsminister during his visit in Kafuristan, stating: I'm seriously concerned about the capacity of the Kazulian Defense Staff if they do not know how to distinguish soldiers from doctors or if they can not see the difference between a syringe and some bandage by a machine-gun or a grenade. Has the government responded to these statements.
It is clear that the statement made by the Prime Minister come from a misunderstanding. What was stated by the statsminister was that the involvement of nations such as Istalia and other nations have created the impetus for the conflict becoming somewhat out of control. The statsminister did not state that the Istalian Republic choose any side in the conflict. What was said is that it has contributed to the conflict being in the state it is currently. It is a normal tactic for the Istalians to take other person's statements/words completely out of proportion. The Istalian Government bound to misunderstand simple concepts.

Den Sekulære Ganger Reporter, Peder Stordahl: The Prime Minister later commented on her concern of the "capacity of the Kazulian Defense Staff if they do not know how to distinguish soldiers from doctors or if they can not see the difference between a syringe and some bandage by a machine-gun or a grenade."
I believe that i don't have to comment on this because General Aagard and General Krabsethve have already accentuated the nonsensical, anti-intellectual mindset of Istalian Military Command. I will not comment specifically on the statement by the Istalian Prime Minister because i don't want to get in trouble for not respecting the non-existent "hierarchy".

Min verden, mitt land Reporter, Olav Agdestein: With respect to the Al'Badaran internal conflict, Could you comment on the government's stance on nations fuelling the crisis?
The Statsminister has commented on this topic during his visit to Kafuristan. It is clear that the actions of the governments of Istalia, Beiteynu and Kafuristan has set the pretext for the conflict out-of-control downward spiral. The reluctance of the Istalian Government to withdraw humanitarian forces from the area accompanied by the clandestine and overt support of opposition forces by the Yeudish military and the support of government forces by the Kafuri government, has created the impetus and it would be irrational for these nations to deny this fact. Any nation who carefully observed the conflict could see that the climax occurred when nations such as Istalia, Kafuristan and Beiteynu entered into the mix. Of course the Istalian Government will respond championing the cause of humanitarianism and democracy and how "history will judge other nations and not its own." To be frank, these nations have contributed to the demise of stability in the region.

Den Sosialistiske Reporter, Maja Brovold: With nationalism increasing in strength in the World Congress, could you comment on the government's stance on this?
A fantastic analysis of the issue was done by Storolfur Arthursson in a Trond Henrichsen Institute for International Affairs address title: World Congress: Failure from the Start. I believe that he outlines the issues facing the World Congress with accuracy and without a biased undertone. I believe this analyse is an expanded version of the government's stance on the conundrum that is the World Congress. The government does not intend on responding to anymore comments from the Istalian Government for it will trigger an unnecessary tit-for-tat.

Populist Surge Defeats NA in Surprise Election Result

Yesterday in a shock upset the Far-Right Populist Law and Justice party defeated the incumbent National Workers Congress in one of the greatest upsets in Kazulia in recent memory. The party claimed 200 seats in the election and its leader Anders Mathiesen was invited by King Arvid II to form a new government. Following this the NA splintered and dissolved leaving Mathiesen and his Law and Justice Party to dominate the political playing field in Kazulia.

Herr Mathiesen claimed a huge victory for working people across Kazulia and pledged to abandon the failed policies of the past. He pledged to drain away the bureaucracy and mediocracy at the top of government in Kazulia and always put the rights of Kazulian workers first.

Image
Mathiesen speaking after the results

Mathiesen who has no previous ministerial experience will be thrown in at the deep end and tested to his limits as Staatsminister and will have to contend with leaders across the globe in order to preserve Kazulias strong economy and military.

Despite the fact he had always criticised his predecessor strongly he thanked Aleksander Frydenlund of the NA for his years of dedicated service to Kazulia.

Speculation is already building regarding who will make up the rest of Mathiesens cabinet with several posts still to be announced, however he has plenty to choose from now with 115 new MPs all of whom would happily serve in his new cabinet.

Re-engagement and crossroads: Foreign Minister outlines foreign policy.
Minister of Foreign Affairs outlines reformed foreign policy approach to be taken by incumbent government.
11th May, 4259

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elna Morgensen announced a renewed foreign policy approach to be adopted by the incumbent government. With the nation having suffered from a brief period of political, diplomatic and economic inactivity, a renewed approach to foreign policy would have to be adopted by the government to both increase its diplomatic dossier and to increase its diplomatic options/capabilities. It has been stated that the renewed foreign policy approach will not mirror that of Ellinor Ketelsen (a common practice by previous Foreign Minister has been to mirror the policies of Ellinor Ketelsen). Morgensen stated that Ketelsen's policies cannot be adapted to fit the current geopolitical setting which Kazulia finds itself jammed into currently, as such a renewed, and new approach would be needed.
It is important that the nation's foreign policy offers manoeuvrability whilst taking the current geopolitical situations into great consideration. We can no longer readjust the policies set by Mrs. Ketelsen in-order to find a quick and ready made foreign policy for the nation. Mrs. Ketelsen's policies can no longer be adjusted to fit the current situations which plague the geopolitical spectrum, as such it is imperative that a new policy be crafted. Policies which put conflict-resolution and the promotion of international peace and the closer cooperation (without compromising on the security of the state), be put on the front burner.

Foreign Minister Morgensen revealed her renewed foreign policy approach for the nation before reporters. It spoke about two core principles: Development and Cooperation. These were the principles by which the foreign policy of the nation and the government were to flow through, taking into consideration the two principles before a decision is made. She stated that with this she intends on rebuilding international confidence into the Kazulian foreign policy for the promotion of development and cooperation.
The government has lost its touch with development and cooperation. These concepts have been thrown out of the window and replaced by fascist sentiments. This makes the process by which we are to promote these ideals extremely difficult. This needs to be terminated if this nation could move forward on a renewed foreign policy stance. I intend on rebuilding international confidence into Kazulian mediation and cooperation promotion skills through increased cooperation in the international spheres, taking into consideration the government's policy on no compromises when it pertains to the nation's security.

Foreign Minister Morgensen stated that she intends on pushing the envelope when it comes to Kazulia's contribution to international development. She highlighted the presence of the Critical Investment and Stability Fund which she intends on intensifying its investment into international development. She also stated that she intends on pushing the state-owned and private companies into having a more proactive role in development internationally might it be throw investment or increased operations.

Mikuni-Hulstria: The growing threat to regional stability.
Mikuni-Hulstrian increasing becoming a major threat to regional stability amid resurgence of supremacist sentiments.
11th May, 4259

Recent geopolitical moves by the government of Mikuni-Hulstria has created the impetus for its condemnation by the international community. Supremacist racial policies and the implementation of a biased social stratification system coupled with a nation known for its frequent and damaging instability, and you have made yourself a modern Mikuni-Hulstria. Recent government comments on its implementation of supremacist racial policies and increased biased towards a single ethnic group seem to be stemmed from tendencies and sentiments championing the cause of a return of the Greater Hulstrian Empire. Government officials' comments accentuate the cause of a return of Mikuni-Hulstrian dominance within the region, a dominance which many within the Kingdom of Kazulia have described as being a major threat to regional stability.

For decades it has been no secret to the international community and the regional bloc, that the largest threats to security within Dovani (as described by Kazulia) are Indrala, Trigunia, and an unstable Mikuni-Hulstria hellbent on rediscovering the old "glories" of the Greater Hulstrian Empire, given the fact that the nations previously mentioned have either threatened the Kingdom or threatened regional security by inviting the aggressive tendencies of other nations into the region. In the past ethnic tensions between Kazulia and Mikuni-Hulstria has stemmed from the fact that within a region strongly supportive of eastern thinking, Kazulia had been the opposing power as it had held closely its western ideals. With the resurgence of supremacist sentiments in Mikuni-Hulstria, regional stability is more than at risk.

In response, the government has taken measures to ensure that the Kazulian nationals are not caught up in the storm brewing in Hulstria. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has banned travel to Mikuni-Hulstria citing the nation as increasingly unstable and dangerous for individuals to visit the nation. In a similar response, the Foreign Affairs Ministry has recalled all nationals from Mikuni-Hulstria. The Statsminister stated that he does not intend on allowing for nationals residing in Mikuni-Hulstria to remain under the oppressive system. Although the travel ban implemented on Mikuni-Hulstria since the War for the Emperor's Protection is still in effect the recent ban introduces a complete ban on travel and trade, a contrast to the previous ban which barred travel and movement to specific areas around the nation.

Reunification: Kalopian reunification is necessary.
"Reunification of Kalopia important to ensuring resurgence of stability within Majatra" ~ Statsminister.
Image
The border fence separating the Union of Kalopian Revolutionary Socialist Vanguardships and Federal Republic of Kalopia-Wantuni.
11th May, 4259

For more than fifty years, the southern majatran nation of Kalopia has been divided between two conflict ideologies, communist and capitalist. The Union of Kalopian Revolutionary Socialist Vanguardships and Federal Republic of Kalopia-Wantuni, one championing the cause of communism and hard-line socialist ideologies and the other championing the cause of democracy and liberal ideals. The separation of the nation was the result of the protectorates introduced by the Governments of Istalia and Kazulia in response to the then unstable government. Before Kazulia's introduction into the protectorates, the prospect of nation-building had never been placed on the table as the former power introduce a straight-pure military administration onto the region Mossavi. Posterior to a brief, yet intense "cold war" between the hard-line government in Eleopolis and the governments in Skalm and Romula respectively, the protectorates (under a referendum) joined to form a unified state in opposition of the government of Eleopolis. Posterior to the unification of the two protectorate, Kazulian involvement/support for the situation ceased to exist as such, since the formation of the Federal Republic, Istalia has taken the nation under its wings and supported it since.

In-accordance with the government's renewed approach to the MRSF, the Statsminister is now making pushes for a reunification of Kalopia after more than fifty years of Mossavi and Wantuni being under the administration of an Istalian backed government. Although relations between Istalia and Kazulia have ceased the Statsminister stated that he intends on pushing the government in Eleoplis, the World Congress and regional allies into a mindset which would bring about the unification of Kalopia. The chance for reunification is more likely seeing that the incumbent government in Eleopolis is more open to idea of a democratic process than previous governments. A push for the reunification of Kalopia could, according to political analyst, pave the way for regional security and a return of regional stability in the already fragile region.
It is imperative that we making significant pushes for a reunification of Kalopia. The nation has been divided for too long and it is time for the nation to be reunified. The reunification of Kalopia is important to ensuring the resurgence of stability within Majatra. I intend on working with any nation which is willing to push international organisations into forming a unified approach towards Kalopia's reunification.

The Statsminister also commented on offering compensation to the government in Eleoplis as he believes that since Kazulia was involved in the separating of the nation, it should at-least contribute greatly to its reunification. He stated that once a plan for reunification is made with the government in Helios and Eleopolis, Kazulia will be ready to form an annual aid package worth $1.1 Billion LOD and investment through the Critical Investment and Stabilisation Fund. The Statsminister is expected to embark on a second majatran tour where he will be visiting nations such as Cobura, Pontesi and Kalopia.

The two week long exercise, consisting of three small sub-ordinate exercises, involves 25,000 troops and thousands of military equipment from both nations. The exercise, which Kazuian and Hawu Mumenhes officials formally launched near Eggther, is billed as a test of cooperation between allied commands and troops in responding to military, chemical and cyber threats. Coordinated personally by Kazulia's Chief of Defence Staff General Gunnar Krabsethve, the exercise includes 14,000 troops from Kazulia and 11,000 troops from Hawu Mumenhes with their respective equipment. The exercise, according to officials from the Defence Ministry, is expected to jump-start both military cooperation and professionalism between the respective armies of Kazulia and Hawu Mumenhes.

Information disclosed to the general public as to the operations expected within Exercise Cold Start show a significant push in the direct of combined arms. According to statement made by the Defence Ministry, the Cold Start will be divided in three core sub-ordinate exercises: Exercise Winter Christening, Exercise Sea Devil and Exercise Cyclone, with each exercise focusing on a branch of the respective nations' armies. Exercise Winter Christening according to information given by the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff, will mainly focus on cold-weather warfare. It seeks to advance both military's skill and familiarity with various cold-weather warfare tactics such as mounted movement, dismounted movement and ski warfare, with all Kazulian soldiers being trained in mounted movement and ski warfare during their initial entry into the defence forces' ranks. The exercise also acts as a training session for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Hawu Mumenhes in order to become accustom with the training styles of the Kongeforsvar.

Exercise Sea Devil will mainly focus on surface warfare, carrier operations and submarine warfare. The surface warfare portion of the exercise will emphasise on the strategies of interdiction and sea control, pooling the capabilities of the surface warfare vessels of both nations' navies such as the acclaimed Torgersen-class and Édouard-Tellefsen class frigates (the latter being a recent addition to the kazulian navy). The carrier operations portion of the exercise is expected to take place on the KNOS-Queen Ingrid multi-role AAS (one of the vessels used by the kazulian navy as an aircraft carrier) and will mainly focus on search and rescue operations and swampland warfare by naval special operations teams such as Marinenspesialkommando (MSK). Finally the submarine warfare portion of the exercise will focus on practising and learning several submarine warfare disciplines. Surveillance and information gathering and Protection of task forces and merchant shipping are a few of the disciplines to be both learnt and practised in the exercise.

Finally Exercise Cyclone will focus on air combat manoeuvring, dropping airborne forces, close air support and aerial supremacy operations. Throughout the numerous military exercises previously conducted by the Kongeforsvar, the Kongelig Luftvåpen (Royal Air-force) although it has participate in most of the exercises not much emphasis has been placed on aerial tactics and a development of skill within the air-force. The air-force, due to previous exercises, has become masters in close air support operations and airborne operations, however neglect in these areas by the Kongeforsvar has developed in the areas of aerial supremacy and air combat manoeuvring. It is expected that the exercise will be a learning experience for both the Kazulian Air-Force and the Air-Force of Hawu Mumenhes as both nations intend on learning tactics from each other as to further professionalism and experience in the extremely dangerous yet crucial field. The exercise is expect to utilise the full array of capabilities and equipment used by the air-force from electronic warfare to airborne early warning and control and may even see the use of the air-forces' fleet of Z-35's for the first time.

Apart from the exercise promoting experience and tactics by the respective nations' armies, the umbrella objective of the exercise is to rebuild cooperation and friendship between the armies of Hawu Mumenhes and Kazulia, nations who have been extremely close allies since the reformation of the two nations' internal politics.

In a recent move by the Office of the Statsminister and the Ministry of Trade and Industry to bolster the economy, the commercial ports of Eggther and Gna, under advisement from the local Chamber of Commerce of those city as well as the Public-Private Cooperative Business Association (an association of private and public companies, centred on promoting joint private-public business opportunities), have been designated as "free-ports" in an attempt by the Ministry of Trade and Industry to bolster the economy in the country. The laws were proposed by Statsminister Robert Nordmark and seeks to introduce less strict customs regulations and lowered taxes on income for investors. The statsminister addressed the National Assembly earlier today where he said,
Kazulia has a high potential of being the capital for trade and business in the Eastern Hemisphere. In this legislation i propose to the commercial ports of Eggther and Gna, the status of free-ports with an ease in our customs regime on these ports. I can assure the members of this assembly that, we do intend on expanding the capacity of these ports to accommodate for increased operations.

The idea to make Eggther and Gna free ports came after the Division of Trade Promotion spoke of plans to introduce a renewed customs regime within the cities as a means of increasing funds to assist in the formation of the much anticipated Critical Investment and Stabilisation Fund (CISF). News figures released from an independent research and analysis group known as, the Centre for Economics and Business, showed that during the first 5 months of 4258, the mentioned ports handled 60 million tonnes of cargo about a quarter of the total turnover. The report stated that the most productive port was the Port of Eggther, which handled 40.1 million tonnes of cargo compared to Gna which handled 19.9 million tones of cargo within the same period. Nonetheless it signals a move that these cities and their ports are a pillar to forging closer trade ties between various regional and international partners. It is rumoured that the Ministry of Trade and Industry is reopening its Provisional Trade Office within the recently re-opened Kazulian Embassy in Hawu Mumenhes as a means of opening trade relations between the various Artanian nations.

Bergenson Maritime Corporation (BMC) through a joint venture with the Port Authority of the Port of Eggther, has been appointed as the lead contractor in the expansion of the international port. The expansion project will increase the lengths of berths 3, 4 and 5, giving the port ,in general, the capacity to handle/berth massive container vessels. Dredging of the area was commenced several months prior and was done in preparation from construction to begin around the vacation period. The project will involve dredging 1 million cubic metres of material to provide the berth and approaches, and enable a new steel-piled quay wall to be built. General Manager of the Port Authority, Hwan Byung-Ho (a native of Dankuk), commented on the expansion project.
The Port of Eggther caters from international trade. It is the largest seaport in the country and is the centre of maritime operations throughout the country as thousands of minor and major maritime corporations have established bases of operations in the port's facilities. For this port to operate at the highest level of efficiency,
it must now cater for largest international vessels. As such, with our cooperation with Bergenson Maritime Corporation and the port authority's own construction group, the expansion of the port could see an increase in facilities and general space for future operations.

According to officials from Bergenson Maritime Corporation (BMC), they intend on reclaiming land from the sea to accommodate for the construction of three wharves, two dry docks and increased housing space for business operations within the port itself. The new extension will be equipped with three new ship-to-shore gantry cranes, each with a 25-container wide outreach. According to officials from the Division of Trade Promotion (a department of the Ministry of Trade and Industry), the expansion of the Port of Eggther is expected to accommodate for the increased diplomatic activity in which the Foreign Ministry is going to initiate by reintroducing the Kingdom to trade with the its various international partners.
