A series of mortar strikes fired from the Mikuni-Hulstrian side of the Mikuni-Hulstria/Kazulian border landed in a Yeudish community on the outskirts of Ulfmaerr, Kelvon. No injuries or damages have been reported as it is being said that the mortar fired landed in wheat fields. Missile alert sirens were surrounded as the mortars were "picked-up" by the Air-Force's early warning system. The mortars were fired from the Mikuni-Hulstrian province of Harusutoria, and was directed towards the Yeudish community which was located in the area north of the border. The Mikuni-Hulstrian, pro-government militia, Terra First has claimed responsibility for the strikes.

This attempt marked the second time artillery units of the Terra First were launched in the general direction of Kazulia. It is expected the security in the southern portion of the state will be heightened as it is now evident that artillery strikes against the state from Terra First will not cease. The announcement came directly from the office of the President and Reich Chancellor of Mikuni-Hulstria and accused the government of a "disgustingly authoritarian and oppressive entity, inflicting torture, death, and enslavement to millions of innocent beings just because they happen to have a slightly different DNA". The announcement by the Mikuni-Hulstrian government comes after increased tensions between the two nations, prompted the government in skalm to take measures purely aimed at ensuring its defence. In an early morning address, Minister of Foreign Affairs Karina Waadeland responded to the claims of the Mikuni-Hulstrian government calling them the brainchild of a nation hell-bent on oppressive policies.

It appears that the Great Reich of Mikuni-Hulstria is expanding as plans of a union between the Great Reich and the Empire Magnificent of Mikuni-Sekowo were discovered by the intelligence agencies. Statsminister Axel Eriksen, an avowed leftist, an anti-imperialist, anti-authoritarian, and anti-capitalist, is likely an unsurprising candidate to become enraged by a large totalitarian country attempting to shame his country into adopting mandatory veganism. These statements were made at a bi-weekly conference held by the Statsminister for Kazulian and international press to answer pertinent foreign affairs questions. This session was almost entirely focused on the Mikuni-Hulstria statement against Kazulian dietary freedom, and the escalation of the conflict. Axel Eriksen, Statsminister: Herr Aavik, thank you for your question, and while I find it worded a bit harshly [laughter from much of the press corp], most leftists are very aware that veganism is a personal choice based on personal values, and should not be universally imposed or sanctioned by our government.

Axel Eriksen, Statsminister: They call us terrorists for defending the rights of Kazulian subjects and citizens to eat meat, while they create an increasingly repressive, capitalist, and unequal society, they silence socialist opposition, and kill foreigners for following their culinary traditions. They are anti-multiculturalists. I think that to be a terrorist state, a state must bring terror upon other peoples or their own people. They do that, we make strides in human rights.

The Kongeforsvar has deployed a cutting-edge missile/rocket defence system as a means of curbing the psychological clout of Mikuni-Hulstrian rocket attacks on sovereign territory. A series of Skjǫldr (Shield) batteries are to be deployed to the border of Kazulia and Mikuni-Hulstria and is intended to provide increased security Kazulians and minorities within the prescribed region. A series of batteries are to be deployed in strategic locations - one of them being Skalm - as it attempts to create a virtual shield around the Kingdom against missiles and artillery rounds. Officials refused to comment as to how many of these batteries were to be deployed, their ranges and the cost of the system. Analysts have deduced that the cost of successfully intercepting and destroying a target would cost tens of thousands of dollars. It was also deduced by analysts that the missile defence system will obviously have GTAM (ground-to-air missile) capabilities.

A transnational, multi-agency operation has been launched by the Ministry of Home and Kingdom Affairs in an attempt to implement a sever crackdown on the possession, transfer, manufacturing, sales and/or acquisition of firearms not registered under the National Firearms Registry. The move comes after the passing of the Firearms Control Act, which, for the first time, introduced controls for long-barrelled shotguns, in the form of Shotgun Certificates that, like Firearm Certificates. The Act also prohibited the possession of firearms or ammunition prescribed on the legislation, firearms ranging from handguns for rocket launchers. Director of the Anti-Crimes Agency (the law enforcement body tasked with forming solutions to crime) Victor Heglund announced that around 2,000 persons from the Anti-Crimes Agency and the National Police Service will participate in the exercise

According to Director Heglund, the Home and Kingdom Affairs Ministry has given individuals who are under the old firearms registry sufficient time to hand in their weapons and re-apply for a new certificate/license which abides by the new legislation. He stated: "If individuals who were given sufficient time to hand in their weapons and re-apply for the certificate don't do so, The Home and Kingdom Affairs Ministry is then justified to confiscate said weapons, through any and all means necessary." The deadline for individuals under the old registry to hand in their weapons to their nearest police station/post has been set to three months from now. It is stated that under direction from the Home and Kingdom Affairs, the police are expected to conduct daily "passes" in neighbor hoods asking/inquiry citizens as to whether they are ready to hand in their weapons.

Currently, within the city of Skam, officers of the National Police Service's Intelligence and Special Operations Branch are executing raids on various buildings and persons known to be involved in the trafficking, storing and/or acquisition of firearms. It is stated that this is the most violent and tough the Ministry of Home and Kingdom Affairs has ever been, especially insight of gang activity and serious crimes.
