New Faces of KD

Image
Einar Hermansson becomes new KD Party Leader

Kazulmark Democrats party leader Gjöl Bengtsson is ill-prescribed for an indefinite period, alongside recent election resutlts that compelled him to resign.
"Now that the election is over, I have been given the opportunity to settle down for a while and know that it would be better if new faces could take the helm, he says. The doctor refers to the "fatigue syndrome", which is commonly referred to as "burnout". Long-time veteran within Kazulian politics, Einar Hermansson, takes over as a party leader for the Kazulmark Democrats.

Gjöl Bengtsson tells in an open letter that the Kazulmark Democrats recently announced the decision taken in consultation with doctors. Today he gives the explanation. He states that the job as a party leader has been tough. "It has been a long time, not just in the last year. Of course, the work itself is struggling - all traveling, stress, constant home life - but above all, there has been so much else around that stole energy and tended both physically and, not least, psychologically. Our opponents' persistent attempts at stopping our successes, the media's many times fierce campaign journalism and the extreme hatred of extremists are some examples. In my situation, one tries to shake off all that - unexpected order, threats, shyness. One intends to not take it personally to let it drain. That strategy must work on the surface, at least one time, but in fact it sets deep traces. Combined with the recent, disappointing election results, I feel it's time for other suitable KDers to take the helm and steer once more the party into a clearer route" he says.

It was thus recently decided in an emergency party Congress that the seasoned, old-time veteran of Kazulian politics, Einar Hermansson, 59 yrs, became the new Party Leader of this centrist party which has been struggling in the last few years of regaining its lost support and seats from the Kazulian Citizens. So, one may ask "Vem fan är Einar Hermansson?" Well…He previously served as KD Party Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs, Spokesperson for Home Affairs, and Spokesperson for Science and Innovation. Hermansson was raised in the rural community of Anselm in the county of Findar. His father was an apple farmer, though the family lived in virtual poverty throughout Einar's childhood. He first attended primary school at the age of ten after the death of his father. He went on to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Royal College at the University of Skalm graduating with honors. He was described as a very astute, bright and one of most capable students, by many of his professors. He went onto complete a year long post-graduate law degree at the College of Legal Studies at the Elg Creek University, becoming a clerk for the Storting Judicial Appellate Committee following his graduation. Originally a Folkepartitet member, he later changed affiliation to KD due to 'various conflicting views' according to recent interviews, and has since served as a notable spokesperson for them.

Christoph Kornhauser and wife, Marion Schuterman-Kornhauser

Another pair of new faces within the party have also shown up; Christoph Kornhauser, 41 yrs, and wife, Marion Schuterman-Kornhauser, 32 yrs. Christoph has higher Levels in History (A), Kazulian (A) and Geography (A), BA(Hons) in History and Archaelogy, MA in Kazulmark History, PhD in History and BA(Hons) in Dovani Studies. He's said to be a man who believes education is no replacement for life experience, even if he is obsessed with History and its study. He is passionate about his subject and is still as sharp as ever. His students love him and many pick to study with him because of his reputation for interesting lectures. For his 40th birthday he did all his lectures dressed as a medieval knight. Marion however has higher Levels in Biology (A) Chemistry(A) Maths(A), BSc(Hons), MSc and even PhD Marine Biology from Skalm University of Marine Science and Technology; She loves wildlife of all times but particularly Dolphins and has been heavily engaged in various charities concerning wildlife and children. The couple were already known previously in media as socialites and philanthropists due to their families' standings, as well as fashionistas who've tried to set an example to the rest of the country by dressing well, and as such gained 'cult' following on social media and cited as the 'best dressed people' in Kazulmark aside from their good looks. Mr. Kornhauser is expected to become the new Education and Culture Spokesperson whilst Mrs. Schuterman-Kornhauser will represent the Science and Technology face of the party.

Patriarch Ansgar Prestegard Plans to meet Royal Family

The Patriarch released this notable vid shortly after his election to signify that "There's a new change of leadership and order"

His Most Reverend Eminence, Patriarch Ansgar Prestegard, commonly known by his nickname as 'The Young Patriarch' due to being the youngest elected in modern Kazulian times and considered to be a 'Badass' overall, recently held mass in the Grand Cathedral, reflecting during the homily on the hypocrisy of the “just,” who treat their Hosianism “like a social habit.” They do not bring Eliyahu into their daily life, and so they cast him from their hearts. When we act like that, the Patriarch says, “we are Hosians, but we are living like pagans!”

We who are born in a Hosian society risk living out our Hosianism as “a social habit,” in a purely formal manner, with the “hypocrisy of the just,” who are afraid to allow themselves to love. And when Mass is over, we leave Eliyahu in the Church; He does come with us when we return home, or in our daily lives. Woe to us! When we do this, we cast Eliyahu from our hearts: “We are Hosians, but we live as pagans.” Patriarch Ansgar was commenting on the day’s Gospel, in which Eliyahu rebukes the people of Bethsaida, Chorazin, and Capernaum, who refused to believe in Him despite having seen the miracles He performed. In his homily at the morning Mass at the Grand cathedral, the His Most Reverend Eminence called on all of us to make an examination of conscience.

Each one of us, Patriarch Ansgar said, should ask ourselves: “Am I Chorazin? Am I Bethsaida? Am I Capernaum?” And, he said, if Eliyahu weeps, we should ask for the grace to weep with Him, with this prayer: “Lord, you have given me so much. My heart is so hard that it will not allow you to enter. I have sinned through ingratitude, I am ungrateful.” And then, the Patriarch continued, “Let us ask the Holy Spirit to throw open the doors of our hearts, so that Eliyahu is able to enter in, so that we not only hear Eliyahu,” but really listen to His message of salvation, and “give thanks for all the good things that He has done for each one of us.”

At the end of the Mass, 'The Young Patriarch' also announced his decision to meet with the Royal Family of Kazulmark, stressing the importance of maintaning the Hosian unity which exists in the country and is willing to discuss 'various methods and paths in order to rejuvenate the faith and bring back a whole load of lost sheep who've been stubborn or/and struggling to come back into the light'. Patriarch Ansgar's methods are currently in the unknown although a leaked source has possibly confirmed that it would include hosting a regional or even a 'World Youth Day' for all Young Hosians, especially those belonging to the Auroran branch. Proposed Centre-right Coalition Government in the Works

Image
KD's Einar Hermansson seen having fika with DLK Party Leader and foremost PM Candidate, Alexander Knivedalen, as well as HD Party Leader, Julia Bukkrytter in an undisclosed location.

It has been announced today by the KD Press Office that the party has been in direct Contact with the DLK and HD in the hopes of forming a 'formidable and strong centre-right government, as each respective party leaders (Einar Hermansson of KD, Alexander Knivedalden of DLK and Julia Bukkrytter of HD) were seen having a fika with each other in an undisclosed location, the most revealing Picture featuring Mr. Hermansson having a cup of coffee amidst a conversation that was reported to have been 'engaging and fruitful'.

However, it's only some remaining time to be seen whether the KD will even become part of a possible Centre-right coalition (which would mean 1-2 government ministries given) considering the DLK and HD could already form a strong majority government occupying around 58% of the seats, with an additional 9% if KD were to be included. If not, Hermansson adressed the issue stating that the KD would in any way act as a 'supply and confidence' party "as long as our policies closely match with the other right-wing parties...Nonethless I'm looking forward to this new developments, as the communist party has at least been voted out rom the Storting by the Kazulian people" he said.

Patriarchial Guard Re-introduced after Decades of Absence

Image
The Kazulian Patriarchial Guard was traditionally the small force responsible for the safety of the Patriarch; it was disbanded following the dethronement of the Kazulian King 4 decades prior as part of 'reducing the Auroran Church's Power and opulence', but has now seen a resurgence following the Young Patriarch's rise

His Most Reverend Eminence, Patriarch Ansgar Prestegard, has by the permission of the His Majesty, King Henrik II, reinstated the ancient and reputable Kazulian Patriarchial Guard as part of the 'The Young Pope's security detail and could be seen as part of a new wave of reforms to bring back traditions and customs that were considered to be 'outdated and extravagant' in a more increasingly secular society for the past decades. But as Kazulian citizens, especially the remaining faithful Hosians have noticed, Patriarch Ansgar has of course included more, including the Patriarchial Coronation service which includes wearing a Tiara and be carried occasionally on a Sedia Gestatoria.

According to the tradition, the 135 recruits to the guards must be Hosian Auroran, single males with Kazulian citizenship who have completed basic training with the Kazulian Armed Forces and can obtain certificates of good conduct. Recruits must have a professional degree or high school diploma and must be between 19 and 30 years of age and at least 174 cm (5 ft 8.5 in) tall. Qualified candidates must apply to serve. If accepted, new guards are sworn on 6 May every year in the Grand Cathedral Courtyard, where a ceremony involving taking oath is involved.

It has also been analysed as boosting Kazulian tourism as these guards were popularly known to draw photo-ops with onlookers, both Kazulian and foreign alike, stationed around the Patriarchial Palace and the Grand Cathedral.

Holte Resigns

Image
Statsminister Aksel Holte meets the press following his meeting with Huspresidenten

Following an election that could definitely have gone better for the Prime Minister, Aksel Holte has formally submitted his resignation to the President of Stortinget and to the King. While Holte had appeared relatively upbeat on election night - celebrating the fact that Folkepartiet's vote and seat share had remained relatively static - the mood around Fp's headquarters had become much gloomier as government negotiations went on.

While the Government had actually increased in seats, the entirety of that increase came from the DLK alone, putting the centre-right party in the strongest negotiating position. This, matched with the arrival of HD into parliament, made it clear for any political commentator as to the cards that the DLK had available to them. Within days of the result, DLK, HD, and KD had met for the first stages of informal negotiations. Holte's resignation is a sign as to the direction that these negotiations have taken.

Speaking to the press outside the office of the Huspresident, Holte gave a brief statement laying out his resignation intentions.

Clearly, we have a situation where the two coalition partners had two very different elections. One gained, and one lost. Sadly for Folkepartiet, we were the one who pulled the short straw in this case, and this puts us in an unfortunate position in terms of negotiating. It is an untenable situation for this coalition to continue, a grand coalition of the nation's two largest parties, given that there exists an alternative. I wish my colleagues in the DLK all the best in the negotiations and going on. For now I can only assure the people of Kazulmark that continuation of government exists, and I will gladly lead the caretaker government until a replacement is ready.

For now, of course, Holte continues as a caretaker Prime Minister until such time as a replacement can be selected by Stortinget. Exactly what constellation will follow the grand coalition that has ruled Kazulmark the past few years is still unclear, and more unclear is what this means for Holte's grand plans of a pan-Dovani organisation. His time as Prime Minister may be over, but perhaps his legacy is not dead yet.

Holte out, Kristiansen in

Image
Kristiansen addresses the special convention of Folkepartiet

With the resignation of Holte as Prime Minister, rumours had been swirling for months concerning his position as leader of Folkepartiet. Considering the party had in fact had a relatively successful election result, and considering his popularity as a leader, many had assumed that he would seek to lead the party in opposition and through to the next election. These hopes were pushed aside a few weeks ago, as Holte publicly made clear his intentions to step aside from the leadership role, hinting that there was some other role he may announce in the near future.

This paved the way for Folkepartiet to gather and select a replacement, and - in true Folkepartiet style - this was done quickly and efficiently. Two candidates were clearly in the focus of party members - former Finance Minister and Deputy Leader Hanna Kristiansen, and current party whip Peter Torp. A brief debate between the two at the special convention was followed immediately by a ballot which - by a 2:1 margin - propelled Kristiansen into the leadership position. Torp meanwhile - on the nomination of Kristiansen - moves into the Deputy position.

Addressing party members following the vote, Kristiansen aimed to fire the party up for the years ahead.

...and while I am moving into unknown territory as leader, we are all moving into unknown territory. It has been a long time since Folkepartiet sat in opposition. Some may indeed say that it's about time - that we deserve the rest. I don't quite agree with the sentiment. I have served in the cabinet of Kazulmark for many years now, and I can only stress the honour and privilege it is to serve your nation, to further the cause of your people. And that, friends, is exactly what this party is for, exactly what this party's guiding principles are. Folkepartiet - the people's party. We must never take our eyes off that prize, we must never take our eyes off the cause of standing up for what is in the best interests of all of Kazulmark, for every corner of our land. We must never give up the fight for progress, for better wages, for more equality, for more democracy. For a strong state when you need it, and a non-intrusive state when you don't. For opportunities to succeed for all, and the net to catch you when you fail. That is what makes our nation great, that is the nation Folkepartiet will always stand up for and protect, and that is our job now. To be the guardians of the people of Kazulmark, to watch and critique this new government's every action, to hold them to account. In doing so, we will prove to the people once more our worth. Folkepartiet will be back.

Kristiansen is seen as the logical choice for the party going on - widely respected and supported in her years as Finance minister, a strong and stable hand to take the party from government to opposition. Her years in Fp started in the youth party - active as a teenager, and then through her years at university. Unlike many fellow youth politicians, however, Kristiansen left the organisation following her graduation, choosing instead to pursue an academic career in economics. It was after 10 years as a professor at the Skalm School of Economics (SSE) that Folkepartiet reached out for her to come aboard as the finance spokesperson (and later minister), a role she eagerly accepted. It is this air that has always followed Kristiansen - a pragmatist, an academic. Never engaging in passionate or angry debate in Stortinget, but rather presiding over academic discussions. She is indeed an interesting follow up to Holte's more charisma filled and slick political style. How well this engages with the people, that is for the future to tell.

Image
The home of Knivedalen family

Statsminister Alexander Knivedalen shall apparently have introduced his new girlfriend Hanna Kristiansen(Leader of FP) to his parents. That is only if you belives the rumors about them.

The rumors about them have been talked about for many months now but some say that the relathionship have lasted longer. And now the coupel have travelled to Asvald where the residence of Knivedalens parents is.

Image
Sverre & Ruth Knivedalen on a offical dinner at the royal palace

Sverre Knivedalen runs the old family buisniess and is one of Kazulia richest men and his wife Ruth Knivedalen is a socialte woman who runs the Knivedalen foundation.

One of the many sources is Knivedalens ex-wife Maddeleine Knivedalen. She names this in her new auto biography Image

In the book she tells that Alexander told her this about one year ago. In the book she writes about the llife she and Alexander lived and secrets about the powerful family.

Knivedalen also posted this in his private instagram profile on the valentines day Image

But neither Kristiansen or Knivedalen has commented on the relatshionship.

Internal affairs minister and KD leader Einar Hermansson when asked about this allegd relatshionship he did say
This is a private matter and i dont want to comment any further.

We will only see in the future if the rumors are true and when they will break the news

Minister of Infrastructure & Transport Announces Ambitious 'Build, Build, Build'- Project

KD Minister of Infrastructure & Transport, Viktoria Rehn, announced today through a press Conference the Ambitious 'Build, Build, Build' Project which is aimed to 'Make Kazulmark a more accesible and environmentally country to call home and to give our coming descendants something to live and be proud of, for a better and prosperous future for not only Kazulians but also th entirety of Dovani and the entire World". It is expected that a special commitee will be held in order to get the official 'blessings' and if the mentioned goals are at all achievable to begin with, including the COSTs; If accepted it would be among the largest Infrastructure Projects of a time in terms of Costs and and Scope.

Image
1. Costing approx. $10 billion, The Barriär Base Tunnel would be planned to open in 17 years. At 35 miles long, it would be among the longest and deepest train tunnels in the world, offering unprecedented efficiency when traveling through the treacherous Kazulian mountains.

Image
2. Kazulia would commit $25 billion to the construction of a fully submerged, floating tunnel beneath the Sörgenfjord, a body of water more than 4,000 feet deep and 3,000 feet wide. It would link two disparate regions and be the first of its kind in the world.

Image
3. Skalm's $20 billion Crossrail project — a massive upgrade to the existing Underground system — would be among the largest construction projects ever undertaken in Dovani. It involves 10 new train lines and connects 30 existing stations via 73 miles of track and 26 miles of tunnels. Limited service would begin within the year, while full service would arrive in 3 yrs.

Image
4. The Skalm Bypass Project, set to be completed in 8 yrs if begun now, could reduce traffic in the city by expanding a patch of the Dovani Highway prone to heavy traffic. An additional 13 miles of underground roadway will cost about $3.5 billion; it'll be among the largest tunnels near a city when finished.

Image
5. Among the world's largest floating solar farm powered up on a lake just outside Skalm is planned to be opened, costing $2.3 billion. It contains 23,000 panels, which will power a water treatment plant that provides clean drinking water to 10 million people across Kazulia.

Image
6. The Agatha Array will be among the largest offshore wind farms in the world by energy output. Its 175 turbines are capable of producing 630 megawatts of power, which could power more than 300,000 homes. It is currently undertaking construction, with an estimated $2.3 billion to be invested.
