Kazulmark Democrats' Wins Big League: Becomes 2nd largest Storting-Party
Image
Gjöl Bengtsson wearing traditional Kazulian attire on his way to the Storting following the latest general election along likeminded party members.

The Kazulmark Democrats become the second largest party in the Storting followng the latest general election.
Which is why Party leader Gjöl Bengtsson said "It's completely logical" for his partys' policies to be Heard and driven to higher levels now that they managed to attain such big influence in Kazulian politics; there have also been rumors circulating from the De Liberale Konservative about forming a potential coalition with the KD.

"Then they have understood their position in this parliamentary state. The sooner the other parties discover it, the sooner we can get some form of stable steering in place. It's nothing I'm impressed with but it's logical", he says. "If Nathalie Bø doesn't want to see another miserable, unstable 4 years of leftist-liberal supremacy and instead wants a true conservative government in its place, it can only be done with the help of the Kazulian Democrats, simple as that and enough said," he further clarified.

The KD leader also hopes that Folkepartitet leader and prime minister Morten Halvorsen will be resigned as soon as possible in the mandatory prime ministerial votation. In doing so, he believes that the government negotiations will be able to begin properly.
"Morten Halvorsen will be resigned today and then we can start with this (government formation) seriously, and I hope it will lead somewhere," said Gjöl Bengtsson.

And if the negotiations would not lead anyone - he would not be afraid of an extra election. "To the contrary. I think we could grow to become the largest party even, who knows. Still it is not certain that it will change anything, said Gjöl Bengtsson and continues: "But it may send a signal, especially to Morten Halvorsen, that one must eliminate this fear of terror in order to move on and get a grip on the actual realities we're currently facing".

Finally, Bengtsson made an open invitation to ousted DLK politician Nils Sveen; "You're always more than welcome to join your new 'family' and be part of a political revolution; Intelligent politicians of your moral standing deserve a proper 'home' to be able to thrive".

DLK leader Bø open for possible negotiations with KD
Image
It is possible that theese two will become coaltion partners

After the election result became clear and DLK again became the country's third largest party, Nathalie Bø celebrated the result together with its party members. When Bø was at Good morning Kazulia, she said
I am very pleased with the result I am. But as I said during the election campaign several times that DLK will not accept several years with a left-wing government. We have supported the FP in government now three times and reigned with them several times but now that FV is the largest party and what may be leading in a government with FV and FP government we can not imagine such a proposal where we are not including. We have therefore decided to open up negotiations with KD and this was taken at our previous national meeting, where the party's members voted yes for a possible government's agreement with the KD.

When asked whether it had begun or should start talks with KD, Bø denied and responded.

Nils Sveen who stood against Bø at the previous leader's election and lost his general secretary's post after saying that he has been tempted to change a party but stays at DLK because that is where his heart lies

Hosian Democrats Form Political Alternative For Pro-Family Politics

Image

Kazulianer from across the country have convened in Skalm to found a political alternative for family-oriented politics. The party adopted the ideology of Hosian Democracy, which has had some historical prominence in the country, though nowhere as much as it has in neighbouring Hulstria. It took the name Hosianskdemokratisk Folkeparti (HDFP), which translates into “Hosian Democratic People’s Party”, in the Luthorian language.

HDFP’s elected chairwoman, Julia Bukkrytter, 32 and already a mother of four, addressed her concerns to the Kazuliansk public:

”Despite decades of being dominated by the political right, Kazuliansk politics are severely lacking in regards to providing flexibility for the family in the daily life, in matters concerning - among other things - tax benefits, health care, education, housing and infrastructure. We seem to suffer from a lack of confidence in the family to know what is best for their own children and their own economy. Also, our foreign policy is desperately in need of a review, to adequately satisfy the urgent need of protection for the last remnants of Western-Hosian democracies in our part of the world.”

Fru Bukkrytter has declared her aim to be the “Motherly figure for all of modern Kazulmark” and spreading the Hosian Democratic ideals that has worked so well in neighbouring Hulstria across the country. Other states priorities of the HDFP include stamping out abortion, removing unnecessary administrative regulations, military cooperation with other democracies, the introduction of school vouchers, economic assistance for housewifes raising children, responsible immigration policies and the recognition of Hosianism as Kazulmark’s official state religion.

Major construction firm Daxton has announced the rolling out of the Eland HT1 range of heavy duty trucks through its recently acquired subsidiary "Rjustrand AB", aimed at operating in extreme environments and rough terrain.

Although new to the market, the company is extremely ambitious as it has proposed a "Suited for the Customer" campaign whereby the company would construct vehicles custom made for its customers. For example, Alternex Verdalros has ordered turnkey solutions from Rjustrand in ventures such as tipper, mixer, hook-lift, skip loader, concrete pump, mobile crane, flatbed with crane and heavy haulage.

According to statements from Rjustrand, the HT series will be the truck used by all professional construction companies throughout the world. Rjustrand's factories are centrally located in Rjustrand, Kelvon however the company has stated that as time progresses and sales increase, factories will be moved out of Kazulia. The presence of the factories created potential for supporting Kazulia's manufacturing base. This is seen as other automotive companies such as Degermark and Hansson have based their manufacturing in Kazulia.

Kazulia is known for its stunning architecture, robust weapons manufacturing and technology, however one Kazulian firm sought to break the market status quo through designing a super-car. The result is the Degermark Reiga RS and it stands as the first purely Kazulian super-car.

Production and Development on the $1.3 Million LOD super-car begun in 4458, culminating years of research and development. The 0-60 mph sprint takes 2.9 seconds and up to 1.6 g of lateral force can be exhibited on the skidpan. Top speed is said to be in excess of 250 mph while the curb weight comes in at approximately 3,120 pounds. The vehicle is powered by a twin-turbo 5.0 litre V8 engine with power being directed to the rear wheels through its seven speed transmission.

According to Degermark, the drive-train is mid-engine mounted built on a carbon-fibre/aluminium lined chassis. The car was created specifically for Motorsport racing, however a road legal version coined the Reiga RS2 is expected to be rolled out in the coming months.

Degermark CEO Mads Degermark stated that the super-car will be sold in nations such as Indrala, Lourenne, Dorvik, Kazulia and Hutori with special features coming to customers in Indrala and Kazulia through a 24k white gold frame, gold piping and stitching. Degemark's factory in Asvald is set to be expanded to accommodate for pre-ordered purchases.

Holte Stuns with Electoral Success

Image
Holte caught celebrating behind the scenes as the results trickled in

The snap election came as a surprise to the young and untested leader of Folkepartiet, and yet it seems that it was a trial he was capable of overcoming. It was a tough challenge for the 34 year old former youth politician, taking the reigns of a party that had fallen so far from grace in the previous years. Now, it seems, Folkepartiet is back.

Kasper Holte raised eyebrows across the length of Kazulmark for the energetic and determined election campaign he led. Wherever he went, he attracted crowds, standing atop the literal soapbox he had carried with him on this tour of the nation. Everywhere he went, he passionately promoted the key principles that Folkepartiet had always stood by - progress. Progressing the development of the nation, progressing the position of the people.

Image
Holte gathers a crowd at a campaign stop

Now, the question is which direction the party will turn. As has often been the case of Fp through the years, it finds itself slap bang in the middle of a divided political scene. And, as with his predecessors in the role of leader, Holte will undoubtably be tempted to attempt to strike out alone as a minority administration. The chances of this succeeding, however, are low - DLK has served in office now, and are unlikely to allow a minority to exist. NA, too, seem to be pushing for a formal coalition rather than any sort of looser agreement. What sort of constellation appears from the negotiations is yet unclear, but it is clear who sits at the head of the table.

Legacy Building? Holte launches drive for Pan-Dovani Organisation

Image
Holte speaks with the press following his address to Stortinget

In a special statement to Stortinget, Statsminister Aksel Holte laid down the Government's newest and most adventurous plans. As the BPI enters a new phase, the Government has proposed the creation of a pan-Dovani organisation. This would bring into the fold other major nations such as Hulstria and Lourenne, taking some weight off of Kazulmark's shoulders, as well as pushing off criticism that the BPI is nothing more than a Kazulian attempt to buy influence across the continent.

We may now be in the process of tinkering around the edges of certain aspects of the BPI in committee, however this Government has been planning something far more transformational, something that the BPI can be absorbed into and work alongside.

Herr Huspresident, it is time for us to discuss the possibility of a regional association for the peoples of Dovani.
*applause from the government benches*
Herr Huspresident, this will be a significant challenge for all of us, and it will be an undertaking that I am sure will be passed on to numerous governments going forward in time, but it is one I strongly feel we must take the action of beginning.

Previously, I made mention of the fact that we are ONE of a FEW advantaged nations on the continent of Dovani. Currently, through the BPI, we are acting unilaterally to progress the conditions of the less developed nations of Dovani. That, I believe - while certainly well meaning - is not the correct course of action. Be it merely poor optics, or be it the direct intention of the architects of the BPI, by acting unilaterally to develop the continent, and acting unilaterally to aid our neighbouring Governments, we are in the process of creating a clearly Kazulsk dominating sphere of influence. We are creating a situation wherein these nations become entirely dependent upon Kazulsk support, and wherein their development can 100% be traced back to intervention by Kazulmark. This created nothing short of a neo-colonial situation for future generations, and I do not believe we as a Government can allow that to occur.

Thus, Herr Huspresident, with the support of Stortinget, I will direct the Foreign Minister to reach out to his counterparts in our allies and neighbours across Dovani - reaching out to Lourenne, Sekowo, Hulstria and Dankuk as a start - in order to begin the creation of a truly transformational continental association for the peoples of Dovani. The principles of the BPI - that it should be the people of Dovani themselves who take charge of their destiny - must be enshrined in the future. However, it must be done together, combining our strengths to raise the tide of all Dovani peoples.

While Holte's plans received support from much on the progressive wing of Kazulian politics, some others have suggested that this is nothing more than a piece of legacy building by the young Prime Minister. Whether Holte can bring the parties together to make a success of this plan, and whether the Dovani nations can truly pull together, is yet to be seen.

Private sector ready to foot bill for BPI funding
Private Corporations registered underneath BPI ready to foot bill amid government filibustering.

Chairman and CEO of Alternex (the largest conglomerate in Kazulia) Holvaster Lagerfelt
22nd October, 4464.

"The Private Sector will pick up the slack of the Government in support for this initiative, where they fail to invest we will." Chairman and CEO of Alternex, Holvaster Lagerfelt said before members of the media amidst a meeting of the Association of Investor Corporations (AIC). As a new government has entered the position of power in Skalm, it is moving towards withholding and reallocating crucial development funds from the Bortnem-Pomerleau Initiative as it believes that venture capital systems are the "way to go" during a period of reconstruction and development. Karl Bortnem, Co-Founder of the Initiative went to the Select Committee for Finance and the Economy requesting increased government funding (around 200 Billion Krona) to the continued progress of the initiative as it pertains to reconstruction activities and the implementing of long term development goals. Prime Minister Halvorsen laid out a plan to push for regional integration that would push Lourennais, Dankukin and Sekowan involvement in the BPI. However, Bortnem has expressed confusion with the move as he recognised the fact that Lourenne and Dankuk have already voiced support for the initiative through investment, equipment, training and assistance in reconstruction efforts.

Bortnem met with the Association of Investor Corporations (AIC) last week amidst the Prime Minister's voiced intentions of spinning the BPI towards the foreign policy strategy of the incumbent government. He stated that the Bortnem-Pomerleau Initiative will remain an independent initiative under supervision from the Department of Finance whose opinion is advisory. During his meeting with the Association of Investor Corporations (AIC), Bortnem stated that projected data had highlighted the fact that Kazulia will not be able to continue to efficiently complete projects launched underneath the programme such as the Trans-Dovani Railway and the Trans-Dovani Pipeline and wholesale investment into the broken economies of the third world nations. He stated that the research had highlighted the fact that although it had received increased assistance from Hutori and increased investment from other nations, the estimated cost of completely reconstructing and developing the third world beyond its current scope had risen from 1.1 Trillion to around 1.8 Trillion. President of the Association of Investor Corporations, Hindrik Johansson (President of the Investment Corporation of Kazulia) said:
Hindrik Johansson wrote:Under the legislation, the previous administration had requested that the private sector play an important role in the continuity of the programme until its completion. Although initially investment had been significantly low till now, we intend on encouraging investors to increase tangible investment into the initiative. Currently more than 1,000 companies both small, medium and large are involved in the BPI might it be underneath its various branches of investment and work. We are prepared to pick up the slack which the government is leaving as it could potentially bring the initiative's progress to a complete halt. I can assure the public that the private sector will continue to support the BPI through investment as we move towards developing the third world with the inclusion of our regional and international partners.

CEO of Daxton (the largest construction corporation in the eastern hemisphere), Asmus Lindberg stated that his company will increase its investment portfolio within the BPI from 1 to 6 Billion Krona citing the company's major role in reconstruction and clean-up efforts in the destroyed cities within Ntoto, Xsampa and Utembo. Corporations such as Asvald Gruppen, Pennington-Reid, Viserby Systems and Olsen Machine and Tool have stated that they will expand their joint investment into engineering universities in Kazulia by 25% as a means of assisting the refugees in obtaining skills training its the field of engineering (a field which is crucial at this time for the third world). Alternex and its subsidiaries such as Alternex Verdalros, the Downstream Company and the Upstream Company has stated that it would increase its investment portfolio fro 3 Billion to 10 Billion Krona, with Gasstrien announcing that it would invest around 37 Billion into assisting oil and natural gas companies in stable nations such as Northern Dovani and New Alduria in oil and natural gas extraction, refining and distribution alongside expanded plans for the Trans-Dovani Pipeline. A spokesperson from the Trigunian oil and natural gas company Neftkomp stated that it would also be investing around 5 Billion to operations in the region underneath the Initiative. It is expected that investment from other small, medium and large companies would soon satisfy the Bortnem's 200 Billion investment request, citing the initiative as extremely beneficial to Kazulian and third world-Dovanian business opportunities.
