The Kazulian Government will be passing a bill to make a public broadcasting news agency in Kazulia. The Government has laid out plans to fund and support a Public Broadcaster which will be called the Kazulian Broadcasting Corporation. Its purpose is to provide honest news to Kazulians across the country. The broadcaster will broadcast on Channel 3 of Kazulian television and will broadcast on radio frequencies across Kazulia as well as on Shortwave frequencies. The program was championed by Statsminister Theodor Holmgren who is attempting to reverse his sliding poll numbers to the Liberale Konservatives who have taken Kazulian politics by storm.

The program will also have KBC World News which will cover international news and broadcast across several countries in several languages including, Kazulian, Dorvish, and Luthorian. The object of the World News angle is to better inform not only Kazulians abroad but for citizens across Terra. The KBC is being seen by some Rettferdighet og frihet members of the Storting as a waste of funds however most inside the party supports it. Some are concerned about the impact this will have on private newspapers and news agencies however because the KBC will not be doing a newspaper format and private news will continued to be watched by Kazulians, these fears have subsided for now.

This is seen as a popular move and a move towards the center for the Holmgren Government. Their days of being a major proponent of free capitalism are showing cracks as they now are not only endorsing but creating a public news agency.

Holmgren made a statement to the press saying that

The KBC is a great opptrunity for Kazulians across our country and Terra to stay connected with Kazulian affairs at home and abroad while we provide the top news across the world. It should be our goal to provide for not only Kazulians but countries that do not have free press, news they can trust!

Despite this move polls still show a election victory for the Liberale Konservatives to be a 60-70% probability. For Holmgren and his government, he is doing everything he can to get popular support back on his side but for the first time since the creation of the Rettferdighet og frihet Party it is not only down in the polls but it would be in the opposition according to almost all national polls. The Kazulian public seems to be tired of this government and with the rise of the Liberale Konservatives they provide a Center-Right Conservative alternative to the big tent Rettferdighet og frihet Party. If this move by Holmgren pays off will remain to be seen but for now his government needs to change, otherwise they will be out of power.

The Government of Kazulia has announced it's intention to increase Nuclear Power in the country. After the success of the reactivation of the Bergkern Nuclear Power Plant. The power plant is the backbone of energy in Kazulia and helps to power much of the North of the country. The Government has made it clear that they want to expand nuclear power across Kazulia but with fresh elections around the corner it will be tough to get a comprehensive nuclear expansion bill in place.

Statsminister Theodor Holmgren has made a deal with the Kazulian people in a speech on to supporters he said that

It is my view and my governments view that Nuclear is the future for Kazulia. If we want energy independence and cheap energy that will help our environment and normal people, we need nuclear. This election Kazulians have a choice, do you want a government committed to the future or one that we cannot be sure what they will do? I know for a fact that if you put our confidence in us we will deliver Nuclear Power to the people of Kazulia.

This could become a key issue that could make the election closer then many think. Currently Holmgren and his party are behind in the polls but slowly bridging the gap. They are positioning themselves to make the upcoming election in Kazulia one of the most important in modern times.

Ruth Berg new DLK leader

Kazulias' most prominent lawyer Ruth Berg has assumed the leadership position of DLK. The party that has resurfaced and is leading the polls as of now, had its first party conference this week where it choose its new leader.

Berg who has years of experience as a Defence lawyer has been a fundamental part in reviving the party. She has said that they are not completely against or disagreeing with the current government but they want to be an alternative. But she and several of the prominent member of DLK is against the current Statsminister. Holmgren must go she said to the press after the conference.

in the new government, she also has her new deputy Henrik Kristiansen the independent Mayor of Skalm, and as general Secretary is Kåre Nordheim the former leader of Kazulia's largest labour union.

Today was abominable for the Rettferdighet og frihet. In a landslide that few say coming the Rettferdighet og frihet was absolutely trounced in every way shape and form. The people of Kazulia rejected 27 years of consecutive rule from the party and tonight everything has come crashing down. Holmgren was completely embarrassed along with his party as they were sent from a full majority of 180 seats to 21 in only hours.

It all began with Early Elections. In one of the great blunders of our time Theodor Holmgren announced early elections as his parties poll numbers began to rise trying to win a cheeky victory however soon he would regret this decision and probably his career choice at the same time. Quickly weeks of campaigning were finished and it all came down to a vote. The results were like watching a trainwreck in slow motion. The numbers began to ring out, members of the Rettferdighet og frihet began to be voted out one by one. It became clear to everyone that the end of the Government was at hand, however as the results came in the shock of how much the Rettferdighet og frihet had failed began to sink in.

In Agatha they would win a whopping 5.44% of the vote, in Hent 19.32%, in Dreton 10.01%, in Flindar 17.30% and in Kelvon 10.66%. The party that had lead for decades now cannot even break 20% of a the vote in any of the provinces of Kazulia.

Thedor Holmgren quickly resigned following the results, he made no statement to the press following the result. For supporters of the Rettferdighet og frihet the election result was devastating. Calls for a complete overhaul of the party are being made as many inside what is left of the party are trying to pick up the pieces of the party and try to improve from this terrible result. Kazulian politics is further changing as a Socialist-Democratic Party has officially begun to make traction making Kazulia quickly a 3 party state. If the Rettferdighet og frihet is to survive they must adapt to this new political landscape and do so fast.

She said she kept Aspen as Minister of Foreign Affairs because of his experience.

After long internal turmoil the Liberty and Justice Party (Rettferdighet og frihet) has decided on a new leader. The new leader is attorney Julia Brandvold who worked for the City of Skalm attorney's office for 7 years before becoming MP for Skalm-Stongford. Brandvold is seen as a moderate in the party and someone who can bring back the centrist faction of the party and keep the Right Wing of the party as well. Inside of the party she is very popular and has risen to the leader of the opposition in record time. She is known for a firebrand of Center Rigtht Centrism while being completely against the flurry of socialist bills proposed by the tiny Solidaritet - sosialøkologer that has gained in the polls.

Quickly it has become apparent of her leadership when the Liberty and Justice Party entered into a cabinet and coalition with the Liberal Conservatives. This is a way of denying the Socialists of power and to help unite the Right Wing of Kazulia behind a coalition. For some hardliners in the Liberty and Justice Party this is seen as a grave mistake however Brandvold is clear that this must be done. This did not stop her from speaking to the Storting blaming the lack of leadership from the Liberal Conservatives for the rise of the Socialists.

Mr. Speaker we have seen this government which I believe has every intention of doing what is right for Kazulia, drop the ball repeatedly. The Liberty and Justice Party has put forward stable governments time and time again and under this government we have seen the rise of a Socialist Party that is putting more bills forward than this government. The Socialists are a grave insult to the thing that the right has done in Kazulia for years. They want our military stripped down, they want security to be flung to the wayside. They want our state secrets to be exposed to the world, Mr. Speaker if these Socialists take power we would see a deterioration of the Kingdom of Kazulia. There are things that are happening in this country that I believe need to change and we cannot afford a Socialist Government in Skalm...

Brandvold has been clear that she will be leading the opposition but working with the Government. The Liberty and Justice Party currently is both things at once and trying to make itself a clear alternative to Statsminister Ruth Berg and her government. Olaf Aspen who is renown for his foreign policy and retained by the new Government has not commented on these quotes but has been busily doing his job as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Kristiansen Resigns as DLK Deputy


The minister of internal Affairs Henrik Kristiansen has resigned from his post as Deputy Leader of DLK. He does this as a result of the new Alliance between DLK and Rettferdighet and Justice party, he will stay on as minister.

The minister has attacked Brandvold several times in the media lately. He went so far as to say that an alliance with the socialist party is better than an alliance with Brandvold and RJ.

Asvald Gruppen Aerospace Engineering to Build Kazulian Multirole Fighter Jets

Asvald Gruppen CEO Einar Engström announced today that the company will be building two domestically built fighter jets for Kazulia. The fighter jets will both be multi role fighters will high capabilities to do multiple type of operations across a wide spectrum of environments and scenarios. The new fighter variants will be mainly used to defend Kazulia but they will be able to do drills and expand Kazulia's military influence regionally. The first fighter is an older model but still highly effective it is called the F-16 "Hauk" (Hawk). The Hawk has been designed and will be able to be a versatile fighter for the Kazulian Royal Airforce while remaining relatively cheap to produce and the backbone of the Royal Airforces. The Hauk wil be a two seated fighter, have a top speed of Mach 2 (or 2,100 kph) and be armed with cannons, missiles and anti-missile countermeasures. They will also be able to carry large payloads such as large bombs, and will be able to have external fuel tanks to extend range. These are the facts known to the public at this time.


The F-16 Hauk

The second fighter is in cooperation with Kazulian Vehicle maker (which also makes military equipment and aerospace technologies) Vaab. The Vaab JAS.39C "Grippen" is this fighter. This fighter is more advanced and will be used by the more advanced, battle ready units of the Kazulian Royal Airforce. The fighter variant has an interestingly designed wing design that has existed on previous Kazulian fighter variants produced by Vaab. The Fighter has a top speed officially of Mach 2.5 but it is rumored to reach Mach 3. It has stealth capabilities as well as the ability to drop large payloads. It is a versatile stealth fighter that can also be a multi-role fighter at the same time. Much is still not known about this fighter however.


The Vaab Grippen

The two planes will be built in 4 factories that are being built specifically for them. 2 will be located near Skalm while the other two will be in Honnigvanger and the fourth being in Asvald. The factories will all build different components and they will be all produced and finalized at one of the plants in Skalm. The Honnigvanger plant will see the Grippen planes being finalized due to that being one of the locations of Vaab's vast network of factories nationwide. This project will certainly boost jobs and the economy of several cities as well as give Kazulia top notch fighters that will have the ability to be and operate anywhere and at a high level. This project is certainly a "win-win" for Kazulia. It is unknown when the planes will enter service but it has been confirmed that several dozen of these fighters will be produced for the Kazulian Air Force in the coming years.
