Overstated: PM on MAA empty nuclear sabre-rattling.
Prime Minister lambastes MUN/MAA's empty nuclear sabre-rattling as overstated.

It can be seen that by the mood of the Kazulian people the sentiment of a Majatran Union of Nations military installations on the border with Dankuk is yet to register with any form of relevance. On the backdrop of the bases' opening, the possibility of nuclear weapons being deployed to the installation seems to be more amusing than threatening to those in Skalm. Little, if anything, had been said about the recent moves of the Majatran Union of Nation (a political union which seems more military oriented than it is political seeing that is more concerned with military implications than championing pure political integration) and its flurry of threats are supposedly "intimidating" Kazulia and the wider Northern Council Treaty Organisation. From releasing almost comedic levels of information such as rumouring the deployment of nuclear forces to the aforementioned base and the escalation of the anti-Northern Council sentiment in the "political union's" general assembly to the continued laughable scale of propaganda being peddling by the Dankukin Government, the sentiment being received by the Kazulian people is one which they have learned to live with for centuries. While many believe that the deployment of Vanukean troops on the Kazulian border is being viewed as intimidation in the eyes of Wiel, for those in Skalm, the deployment of foreign troops on its border with Dankuk is not new and to some it becoming old. For centuries Kazulia has co-existed with Dankuk's repeated attempts to spite the government in Skalm, however its recent attempts are more amusing than they are threatening.

Prime Minister Markus Hanevold labelled the recent development as "empty nuclear sabre-rattling" aimed at attempting to either spite Skalm or intimidate it. The Vanukean Government announced its intentions to deploy strategic bombers to its base in Reunni, Dankuk, stressing that they had the capability to nuclear and conventional ordnance. This has not been the first time Skalm has had to co-exist with nuclear forces on its border. Decades ago, the Dankuk regime claimed to possess nuclear weapons, however as with most empty nuclear threats being peddled from the Dankukin regime and its allies, the intimidation effect caused by the positioning of said weapons of mass destruction on Kazulia's border collapses easily. Although Kazulians maintain a degree of awareness of the presence of these weapons, Skalm has stated it comes down to those who control said WMD's to utilise them and seeing that Skalm and the wider NC has not constituted a threat against the MUN, the potential use of these nuclear weapons would need justification which Skalm and the wider NC has not provided, thus their deployment is almost irrelevant; (Although Vanuku's use of a nuclear weapon in Jelbania demonstrated that they do not need plausible justification, all they need is a target). It is by convention for the Vanukean Government to state that the deployment of nuclear strategic bombers are for the purpose of "defence", this perception collapses as many see through the facade as attempt to intimidate. Seeing that Skalm has not championed any threats towards the Reunni installation unlike the Dankukin regime's attempts to use the base for leverage in negotiations which will never occur, it is almost comedic to see the "political union" resort to nuclear sabre rattling. It is assumed that Vanuku's use of a nuclear weapon in Majatra constitutes its behaviour.
Prime Minister Markus Hanevold wrote:It's very clear statements of deploying nuclear strategic bombers to the Reunni installation are baseless and empty. Although the presence of these weapons angers Skalm, it is not something we have not dealt with in the past. We are aware that these strategic bombers will be positioned in Reunni, however the Dankukin Government should have at least mentioned to the MUN/MAA that intimidating Skalm through nuclear weapons does not work. Regardless of whether they see it as "defensive", for something to be defensive in nature there needs to be a threat. Seeing that this government and the wider Northern Council has not threatened the base in Reunni, nor its forces nor the nations being deployed to it, it is easy to see that these develops are beyond the sentiment of "defence". They settle near the sentiments of intimidation, fear-mongering and nuclear sabre-rattling.

Prime Minister Markus Hanevold stated that he preferred that the Government in Wiel would not resort to blatant nuclear sabre-rattling as it would only continue to confirm Skalm's sentiments of the nation's irresponsible nature. Hanevold stated he would like to be proven wrong on Wiel's irresponsibility through dialogue and de-escalation instead of Wiel and its partners escalating a situation which does not need to be escalated. When speaking on the Ellinor-Ketelsen Airbase, Hanevold said "the base's existence (which stood in Kalopia long before the times of the Majatran Alliance and the MUN combined) is only a threat if the MUN makes it threat." He stated that the base, in its entirety, has not threatened the MUN in any form or fashion seeing that the potentially threatening prospects of the base, that being the Hutorian 6th Bomber Wing, had long been withdrawn. He urged the MUN to stop using the Kalopian base as a legislative magic wand to champion baseless sentiments and move towards de-escalation.

Rebuilding Dovani: A Daring plan to rebuild Dovani
As Dovanian Conflict enters final stages, Kazulia outlines grand scheme to rebuild.
Image
Reconstruction efforts have already begun in Ntoto by Kazulian construction firms.

On the backdrop of the devastating conflict in Dovani, the Kazulian Government has announced its intention to rebuild Dovani in ensemble with the nations of the Northern Council Treaty Organisation and partners. Prime Minister Markus Hanevold spoke before the General Assembly of the World Congress and outlined the largest financial commitment ever seen in modern history, in order to rebuild Dovani, whilst Minister of Foreign Affairs Nils Forslund spoke before the Appropriations Select Committee informing the parliament that it had every intention of rebuilding Dovani on a scale of grand proportions. According to Prime Minister Hanevold the reconstruction and development scheme to be known as the "Bortnem-Pomerleau Initiative" (named after its creators Karl Bortnem and Chris Pomerleau) had been long in the making with the Departments of Finance, Foreign Affairs and Industry and Trade jointly at the helm (behind the scenes) working to organise the logistical masterpiece.Prior to the conflict, Kazulia has announced its intentions to invest over $1 Trillion into Dovani over the coming two centuries in an attempt to jump start development in a region which had been left behind by the "first world." Prime Minister Hanevold has labelled the Bortnem-Pomerleau Initiative as the most daring reconstruction and development plan in terra's vast history, far exceeding the plans drawn up for the reconstruction of Jelbania and Majatra amidst the Jelbanian Conflict.

From Affliction to Reconstruction
The misery and distress observed by Karl Bortnem and Chris Pomerleau in nations such as Ntoto, Statrica, New Alduria, Kimlien, Utembo and others was pervasive. Masses of citizens from the aforementioned nations have been described as living in conditions which can only be described as substandard from an under privileged perspective. Although the war is coming to an end, it will not usher immediate peace into the room but will force the postwar governments of liberated nations into a no-win situation, as undermining the fragile quality of life was no option for the postwar governments, especially amidst the omnipresent Northern Great Powers poised to suppress ulterior motives. Thus, the Bortnem-Pomerleau Initiative champions a reconstruction effort of unseen proportions. In delivering the sentiment of reconstruction in the region, Bortnem stated that he had expected and planned for an uphill battle in a region with a deep history of undemocratic institutions. By contrast to the outcomes in Majatra, the reconstruction and upwards development of Dovani demands democratic institutions, especially in regions where democratic institutions have not existed. Pomerleau stated that education would always a paramount principle in Dovani's reconstruction. Literacy rates in the "third world" have been speculated to be around 60 to 65 percent, making the possibility of competition in the global economy extremely difficult. The established status quo is; unemployment in the poor nations and stringent underemployment in the rich nations. Pormerleau highlighted that pre-war productivity is returning to the third world. Prior to the conflict, productivity levels in the third world nations were described as lacklustre and being directly tied to the levels of education in the respective nations. This is a responsibility which rests on the colonial governments.

Laying the Foundation
More than one thousand Hutorian, Kazulian and Dorvish civil engineers have been consulted on the initiative, each bringing innovative means towards rebuilding Dovani to the table of discussion. The first and more obvious is creating realistic options to fix the country after the war—in some cases literal plans for building infrastructure systems and positioning construction equipment, in other cases guidelines for shaping governance and the second being reintroducing economic activity in Dovani through a series of economic stimuli packages and financial schemes. On the sentiment of infrastructural reconstruction and development, the Bortnem-Pomerleau Initiative outlines a trillion dollar programme aimed at infrastructural work. According to an Infrastructural Observation conducted by Daxton, the largest Kazulian construction firm currently operating in Dovani, the damage caused to infrastructure in nations such as New Alduria and Statrica mirror levels not seen since the Great Terran War. Basic utilities such as water and electricity are to be reintroduced throughout Dovani within the initial years of the initiative's launch. Recognising that without substantial equipment and resources to aid in their reconstruction, the colonial governments will make little to no progress in rebuilding, the initiative makes accommodations. According to the initiative as proposed in the Kazulian Stortinget, Kazulia would openly lend/lease fuel, electrical energy, gloves, protective eye masks, footwear, apparel, security and military equipment and accessories, construction equipment, spare parts, lubricants and oils to any government which requires it (once they themselves have been registered underneath the Initiative as a benefactor). Bortnem stated that once it is clear to the initiative, the governments and the respective companies involved in the reconstruction and development phases that a colonial government makes an open request for assistance through the initiative assistance will be guaranteed.

Funding Progress
As outlined by the legislation, the Kazulian Government would introduce a series of financial institutions and lending schemes as a means of championing economic activity in Dovani posterior to its reconstruction. Through the "Community Lending Fund", the Department of Finance will offer loans to nations who require finances to fund local projects separate from the projects to be launched underneath the Initiative. Taking up the majority of the financial assets provided to the initiative, the Developmental Assistance Fund which shall directly fund projects/programmes which (i) provide strong promise of contributing to the educational and medical
redevelopment or development which may be directly tied to holistic humanitarian development (ii) Strive for contributing to the economic soundness of a nation's economy (iii) Show great promise in championing contributions towards reconstruction and infrastructural development (iv) Provide strong support for agricultural development as it pertains to the cultivation of cash crops (v) Show willingness to ensure the repatriation of displaced civilians and making available job
opportunities to the aforementioned displaced citizenry. To this end, around 500 Billion Krona has been appropriated to the fund through financial assets from the Critical Investment and Stabilisation Fund, the largest sovereign wealth fund in the world. Both Bortnem and Pormerleau recognised the importance of agricultural development in rebuilding Dovani, and thus proposed the formation of an agricultural development bank coined the Dovani Agricultural Development Bank which, according to the initiative's road-map, would work in collaboration with local authorities to create a portfolio of innovative and comprehensive financial products and services in the field of agriculture. It has been stated that the initiative could also accommodate for agrarian society behaviour, this meaning that the programme to be launched by the Dovani Agricultural Development Bank would accommodate for nation wholly dependent on agrarianism.

Opening Doors
The War in its simplest form has brought about destruction never before seen in the region. Displacing more than 1.3 million individuals, the sentiment of resettlement remains a paramount issue for the governments of the liberated nations. Students, whose educational achievements had been interrupted by the conflict have been granted the ultimate opportunity. Under the name of the Open Opportunities Programme, the Department of Education and Culture will work with private and public educational institutions on making arrangements to accept students from the nations affected by the conflict. Bortnem stated that education remains one of the most important aspects of life in Dovani, stressing that regardless of a child's race, creed and/or religion his/her ability to obtain an education should be an inalienable right. Applications underneath the Open Opportunities Programme could be integrated into Kazulia's education system and benefit from it similar to nationals and naturalised citizens. Vocational schooling is a sentiment being tested as it would allow for the Department of Education and Culture to experiment with vocational tuition and skill set training programmes. Security concerns have risen with the sentiment seeing that the Government would be inviting large amounts of foreign individuals into Kazulia for the purpose of helping themselves and helping Kazulia's economic activity. According to the legislation, applicants underneath the programme will be vetted by the Security Bureau, the Federal Police and the Department of Domestic Affairs within a period not extending 1-2 months. Director of the Security Bureau, Edvard Pallesen stated that the applicants will be vetted and will follow procedures similar to that of refugees. The Department of Health and Social Services stated that it will be working to construct refugee shelters across the nation to accommodate for the expected influx of refugees and students.

What is certain is that rebuilding Dovani is likely to be as least as expensive as imploding it. A great deal of money has been invested in the region's destruction— by the various government, the local parties to the conflict, and many foreign powers. A great deal of money will be made in the aftermath, in a reconstruction project that stands to dwarf anything seen before mainly due to the joint effort of the alliances at the helm. How that recovery is designed will help determine whether Dovani returns to business as usual, sowing the seeds for a reprise of the same conflict—or whether reconstruction allows the kind of lasting change that the resolution of war itself might not.

Bortnem-Pomerleau steering Dovani's paradigm shift
The Bortnem-Pomerleau Initiative is shifting rivers and moving mountains in Dovani.

The Bortnem-Pomerleau Initiative is the driving force for postwar reconstruction and development within Dovani. Introduced to the region through Kazulian, Hutorian, Dorvish and Lourennais investment, the initiative has made the holistic development of Dovani its principle objective. It sees no region/nation within Dovani as uncontested or "unworthy" to benefit from the initiative itself and thus opens the initiative to nations within Dovani and the wider Eastern Hemisphere. Kazulia has been spearheading the initiative since its conceptualisation and has already begun major infrastructural projects in various nations including New Alduria, Utembo, Statrica, Ntoto, Temania, Northern Dovani, Hanzen, Xsampa and Degalogesa. Whilst the major undertaking that is steering Dovani's reconstruction and development spells increased Kazulian involvement in the region (citing prior rumours of the nation wanting to withdraw entirely from the region), it also means that Kazulia intends on steering Dovani's paradigm shift through the initiative. To move the region away from "third world" classifications and the champion the sentiment of holistic development seeing that many politicians within Kazulia's political spectrum have stated that Kazulia cannot leave Dovani behind. The infrastructural projects launched by Kazulian companies underneath the Initiative and the Critical Investment and Stabilisation Fund are below.

The Emperor's Corridor.
Image
Figure 1: The Trans-Dovani Railway.

With Dovani inching towards complete postwar cleanup, the reconstruction process is set to begin within the coming years. Although many projects will be focused on restoring damaged historic and religious sites, others will be focused on introducing new concepts to the region; concepts with a stringent focus on regional cooperation. Under the "Emperor's Corridor", Kazulia, Hutori, Dorvik, Lourenne, Luthori and in some cases New Endralon will construct a Trans-Dovani Railway with the intention of re-imagining trade within Dovani proper. The railway will start from Noumonde and will span as far north as Northern Dovani and will end at the Temania linking with several underwater passages. Thousands of miles of railroads do not need to be constructed as in some nations the infrastructure is already laid down, the principle issue comes in linking them together to fit the needs of the project. Although the benefactor nations, new public works will be required. In-order to see the undertaking come into fruition, Skalm will share the major engineering and construction projects associated with the railway with other nations. Currently there are negotiations with the Indralan, Dorvish, Hutorian, Lourennais, Hulstrian and Kalistani Governments on their involvement with the project. Daxton, Kazulia's largest construction firm and the company responsible for spearheading the railway's construction has stated that the project is open to the inclusion and participation of local/regional infrastructure companies, citing that their inclusion is extremely important to the project's success.

The Shija Valley Hydroelectric Plant.
Image
Figure 2: The Count Hansen Dam in Kazulia, a run-of-the-river station.

The Hispat River in Dovani — one of the two largest rivers in Terra, — is the latest focus of the rush to harness the continent’s rivers for generating electricity. Alternex PowerGen announced in an official press statement that it proposed the construction of what could be the world’s largest hydroelectric scheme. The first phase of the proposed project will generate more power than the Nord Katla Dam in Kazulia, which has been dubbed the largest Hydroelectric electric plant in the eastern hemisphere. If the project is considered, construction could be begin in the early 4500s and will cost at least $200 billion. The energy is mostly destined for the nations of southern Dovani, who do not benefit from linkages from Kazulian power generation plans. The Hispat River’s flow is so strong and so constant that its enormous power can be extracted without a large dam to store water. With no large reservoir, the “run-of-river” scheme will not flood large portions of land, thus saving rain-forests and removing the need to relocate civilians. Coined the Shija Valley Hydroelectric Plant, the project is massive undertaking which needs to inclusion of international partners. Thus, Alternex PowerGen has called on various local and international construction and power-generation firms to assist in the project. The Kazulian Hydroelectric Company and Eastern Hydro, the two world leading Hydroelectric companies have answered the call for assistance and have also called on local companies to assist in the project. The Hydroelectric Plant is expected to be built in Northern Dovani with major substations to be built downstream in Ostland, New Verham and Bianjie.

The Vinfengi Pipeline.
Image
Figure 3: The Twelve Tongues Pipeline

Kazulia's relationship with the nations of Northern and Central Dovani revolves mainly around oil and natural gas. 35% of Kazulia's oil and natural gas exports are destined to Northern and Central Dovani. Oil and natural gas is pumped into 1,000 mile long-pipelines from Kazulia through the nations of the western Dovanian coast and into southern Dovani. The Midstream Company, a Luthorian-based stakeholder in the Bortnem-Pomerleau Initiative has proposed a massive pipeline project which would see oil and natural gas be pumped directly from Kazulia to "third world" nations through what it calls the Twelve Tongues Pipeline. With Gasstrien, the largest oil and natural gas company in Kazulia and the wider Eastern Hemisphere, set to establish major stakes in the Shuja Field oil and natural gas companies from across the region are pouring into the region. CEO of The Midstream Company, Elliot Hunt has stated that similar the most projects associated with the Initiative, the $20 Billion cost would be divided over the next 10-15 year period. Hunt has partnered with the Valruzian Pipeline Corporation and Northern Pipelines in created cost effective solutions to reduce the cost of the venture seeing that Hunt has expressed no intention of loans from other stakeholders including major financial institutions such as BSCU (Bekenial and Skalm Credit Union), Cognate Bancshares, the Small Holding Company and Institution Financière Réconfort.

Joint moon landing propels Northern nations into space age
Joint Hutorian/Kazulian moon landing sets stage for space age in the Northern Hemisphere.

The joint efforts of the Kazulian Space Exploration and Exploitation Directorate and the Hutorian Space Exploration and Research Agency have resulted in the successful landing of Kazulian and Hutorian astronauts on the moon, making the two nations the only nations on the moon since the Dorvish lunar landing centuries prior. A Stormspike VIII rocket blasted off from Hansen's Valley in Northern Dovani three days ago, carrying the Hutorian-built Artemis spacecraft. On board were astronauts Major Henry Sharp and Major Marcus Malmgren of the Hutorian and Kazulian Air Forces. Whilst the launching had been kept a secret, earlier this morning television broadcasting in Kazulia and Hutori had been interrupted by the broadcasting of the Artemis' landing on the moon. Three days ago, the Artemis entered orbit where it proceeded to slingshot off of the earth's orbit and towards the moon. Upon landing the two astronauts celebrated the progress made by placing both the Kazulian and Hutorian flags next to the Dorvish flag which had been placed there when Dorvish astronauts first landed on the moon, thereafter Henry Sharp sung the Hutorian anthem followed by Marcus Malmgren and the Kazulian anthem.

To the public, the moon landing had come as a surprise as although it had been known that Kazulia and Hutori had been cooperating on a joint moon landing they had not expected it so soon. Many Kazulians had expected the moon landing to take place in either the early or late 4500's, however the broadcast of Malmgren and Sharp on the moon had come as a complete surprise. The moon landing had served as a demonstration of Kazulian/Hutorian cooperation and ingenuity as the Kazulian Space Exploration and Exploitation Directorate and the Hutorian Space Exploration and Research Agency had been working towards this moment for decades and with the programme's progress kept a closely guarded secret from the general public, it allowed SEED and SERA to ensure that development of technologies and systems associated with the mission ensured the mission's success. Director-General of the Space Exploration and Exploitation Directorate, Dr. Rasmus Aanenson stated the news of the moon landing had been dispatched to almost every nation in terra and that Malmgren and Sharp on the moon meant the commencing of the space age for the Northern-bloc nations and the wider Northern Hemisphere.

The moon landing is apart of a wider umbrella programme known as the Arcadia Programme. The Arcadia Programme is a Joint Kazulian/Hutorian venture to cooperate in space exploration on all levels. Although amidst the landing, plans for a joint space station had been outlined and will be discussed in the future, its implementation could possibly involve nations such as Lourenne, Dorvik, Luthori and Indrala among other nations. Director Aanenson, who co-chairs the Arcadia Programme with Roger Durling of SERA, stated that the programme allowed for cooperation and business in an every expanding front. Whilst this landing is the first of many landing in the future, Aanenson stated that the programme had been open to other nations wishing to cooperate on space exploration. Kazulia's transition from a satellite-launching space programme to one which has placed a Kazulian on the moon is an illustration of the nation's drive towards greater accomplishments. Whilst many nations are considered leaders in satellite launches, they are still considered years behind Kazulia who, prior to Artemis I landing, had been the nation responsible for launching the satellites of the nations of the Northern Hemisphere including Lourenne, Hulstria, Hawu Mumenhes, Talmoria, Telamon etc. The Space Age of the Northern Hemisphere Begins.

Kazulia to help Keymon modernise defencive capabilities
Kazulia to assist Keymonite Defence Force in enhancing defencive capabilities for future conflicts.

Kazulia is to aid the Keymonite Defence Force in enhancing its defencive capabilities in the face of a national request for a Keymonite Defence Force which could defend the interests of the nation. Under an agreement made between the Kazulian Armed Forces and the Keymonite Defence Force during a secret Northern Council meeting, it was agreed that Kazulia would provide Keymon with surplus equipment and enhanced total defence training through the Home Guard. The Keymonite Government has recognised the importance of maintain security throughout its trade routes as the nation is extremely dependent on maritime routes for its economy and its general stability. Currently, the a Joint Maritime Task Force involving Kazulian, Luthorian and Hutorian vessels maintain maritime security in the Mad Dog Ocean. Whilst Keymon's defence force would never to be able to sustain an invasion from larger nations, the Home Guard intends on enhancing the ground force's abilities to give them the edge needed in holding off an invasion until the Northern Council Treaty Organisation could respond to the instance in full force. The Kazulian Home Guard has transferred around 50 of its Leopard 2a4KZ main battle tanks to the Keymonite Army.

As the nation is an island, the Home Guard Advisers have proposed the construction of coastal artillery. On Kazulia's coastal areas are around 50, 105 mm automatic turret guns which are set to be upgraded as time progresses with an advanced combat suit including range finders and thermal imaging. Negotiations are underway for Keymon's procurement of the AV-13 "Fiskeørn" multi-role fighter to assist the Keymonite Air Force in interception and aerospace patrols. It is expected that a Mutual Defence and Security Agreement between Keymon and Kazulia will be formed to materialise procurement requests. Luthorian Defence Company, Darren Systems announced that it would produce around 100 units of its Jaguar armoured reconnaissance vehicle (FV107 Scimitar). Keymon may potentially receive assistance in upgrading systems from Hutori and Lourenne. Keymon's drive towards a modernised defence force comes as the Northern Council intensifies the heat on members lagging behind on modernisation requirements within the alliance. Brigadier Klaus Veierod, Principle Home Guard Adviser to the Keymonite Defence Force stated that the Keymonite Defence Force will field an extremely effective home defence doctrine under guidance from the Home Guard. The Kazulian Home Guard is the most effective territorial defence formation in the world. By guiding the Keymonite Defence Force it can assist it in becoming an extremely effective force in defence of Keymonite interests.

The Public Health Protection Agency and the United Development Assistance Programme have been dispatched to Noumonde to contain the resurgence of a strain of the Wolfsheim Plague in an attempt to prevent the viral infection from spreading to other regions. A cohort of around 300 healthcare and Aid workers arrived in Noumonde last night with various sorts of equipment such as bio-hazard suits, mobile decontamination suits and larger containers carrying the vaccine for the deadly disease which has already killed around 10 people in eastern Noumonde. Chief Medical Officer of the Public Health Protection Agency, Dr. Vegar Baardsen stated that the disease's resurgence comes amid Noumonde's Famadihana protest whereby Malgy protesters dug up their dead ancestors and paraded them around in defiance of the local authorities. Baardsen speculated that the disease had been spread through bodily fluids from the dead bodies. Dr. Baarden stated that the aim was the contain the disease to eastern Noumonde and distribute the vaccine from within. Kazulia's rapid response to the situation comes amid fears of a potential antibiotic resistant strain of the virus surfacing in parts of eastern Noumonde. The vacccine, which had been developed through joint efforts from Hutori, Malivia and Kazulia has since been modified to combat antibiotic resistant strains after continued testing by the Public Health Protection Agency.

The United Developmental Assistance Programme, the largest non-profit humanitarian organisation in the world has deployed around 150 aid workers to assist local authorities in containing the virus to eastern Noumonde. The organisation has been in constant contact with the governments of Noumonde and Temania in ensuring the virus does not spread beyond the borders of eastern Noumonde. Director-General of UDAP Operations, Amanda Ostenson stated that the organisation will remain Noumonde until the last vaccine is issued to the last infected patient. Ostenson urged the Noumonde Government to be more hands on with containing the situation in the eastern portion of the nation. Many see the deployment of UDAP and the PHPA as field experience for an eventual nationwide exercise aimed at testing Kazulia's efforts in containing a major disease outbreak within its borders. With more aid and medical equipment to be flown into Noumonde in the coming days via UDAP's logisitcal supply chain, the wolfsheim strain could soon be eradicated through cooperation on all levels of Noumonde society.

Egland opens negotiations

Image
A happy Egland on election night

Statsminister Silje Egland has today officially launched the process for the formation of a new Government. Following a brief meeting with Huspresident Eriksen, Egland spoke to the press gathered in the garden lobby of Stortinget.

The people of Kazulmark spoke on election night, and it is now the job of all parties in Stortinget to translate that message into action. As the current Prime Minister, and leader of the largest party in Stortinget, Huspresidenten has tasked me with the duty of overseeing the negotiations for the formation of the next government of Kazulmark. In this, I have two main duties: to ensure that the peoples of Kazulmark receive a strong and capable government for the next term of parliament; and to ensure I respect the will of the people who have elected Fp members to Stortinget. These two charges may indeed be contradictory, though I certainly hope not, but I hope that all party leaders will join me in ensuring this process is as swift and respectful as possible.

Following the previous election, Egland had managed to negotiate a minority administration, due in part to Fp's unique position following that election. The numbers had allowed Egland to build majorities with every party elected, and this had made Fp the keystone to any government. Following this election, with Fp's marginal losses not counterbalanced by Lp's gains, and the rise of KD, it now seems the political landscape has changed. With a close relationship appearing between NAK and LKp, it may not be Egland's day.

Emilie Martinsen celberates the election results

Emilie Martinsen party Leader of De Liberale Konservative spoke to her party members after the election.

Dear everyone. We once again managed to stay the opposition's biggest party. We have made a fantastic election campaign and it is based on their amazing efforts. You have knocked on doors, stood up and carried me on our visits throughout the country. Thank you very much for everything you have done and this election result is thanks to you. We are still the country's second largest party, we will remain the biggest party of today's opposition. We are going to enter into government negotiations and we stand by what we have said throughout the election campaign that we are willing to cooperate with all parties elected to the Storting. But now, as I said, I have a promise to you my party members and my voters DLK will not support a minority government or a government that DLK is not part of.

Emilie Martinsens promised her voters not to support a minorty goverment or a goverment where DLK is not a member. Only time will see what kind of goverment Kazulia while have the next years. DLK is open to most parties at Stortinget, but rather wants a government with FP and LP. They usually have the door open to NAK but seems a bit more uncertain at KD
