Aircraft carrers conmisoned

The Kazulian Navy commissioned its latest batch of combatant vessels underneath the Naval Expansion Programme 4500, in the Port of Gna. Two Annette-class aircraft carriers were commissioned, thus expanding the navy's aircraft carrier fleet to four aircraft carriers. According to statements from the Department of Defence, both vessels completed their seal trials months prior after being under construction for more than 20 years which the DoD argues was mainly due to the constant rotation and testing of advanced systems. Both vessels had been constructed by Pennington-Reid through the Arvard Shipyard in Arenheim. Both carriers, named the HKMS-Henrik and the HKMS-Arenheim, are equipped with advanced armaments produced domestically. Armaments such as the Dovani-3 anti-ship missile and the Iron Shield close-in-weapons-syste (CIWS). Similar to the two aircraft carriers which came before them, the Arenheim and the Henrik feature 54 complementary mixed wing aircraft. With Kazulia's Z-35 fleet (which are the enablers of Kazulia's at sea aerospace capabilities) set to undergo modernisation to be better equipped in tackling more modern aerospace threats, the Arenheim and Henrik could potentially field other aircraft in interim as the Z-35 fleet is under modernisation. Currently it has been rumoured that temporary replacements for the Z-35 could come in the form of Luthorian Harriet Jump Jets.

Knivedalen survives No confidence vote
Image
Knivedalen announced Vote of No confidence

Prime Minister Alexander Knivedalen survived the vote of no Confidence after Folkepartiets decison to abstain from voting. A very happy Prime Minister said this to the press afterwards.
I am very happy now. Of course this was not fun to do this but to see that people would like me to serve to the elections is great.

Knivedalen had to ask for a vote of No Confidence since his Budget proposal didnt get passed in Stortinget.

Many peopel are wondering if Folkepartiet only abstained because of the alleged relathionship between Knivedalen and Kristiansen. Still after three years with rumors no one of them wish to comment about this. The Prime minister office didnt want to comment last time we spoke. And now futher details come forward after a former security agent in the PM security detail said in a interview that Kristiansen would come and go from the PM residence but lately she has staded there more and more.

We will contiune to give you updates

"National Morality Act" and corporal punishment - Head of newly-founded right-wing party surprises with bizarre, shocking proposals

Image
Theodor Lynden Frankenstein (right) speaking to a local politician in Flekkedal.

He is not in the Storting yet, and neither are his confederates, a group of mature men who hold conservative views. And yet, Theodor Lynden Frankenstein, leader of the newly-founded National Purity Committee is already stirring up politics like nobody in the past decade.

The right-wing national populist party that allegedly has ties to fascist organizations around the world started out as an union of rural farmers who opposed the Protection of LGBT act, led by two fundamentalist preachers. It openly opposes abortion and demands for school corporal punishment to be reintroduced.

Frankenstein himself is a lawyer, economist and mechanical engineer, who was selected to become the first Chairman of the NPC because of his successes in business and rhetoric talent last year.

"We needed a leader. Somebody said 'Nobody of us can speak well' - and then I objected - 'Theodor can speak. Why not him?' - and we quickly voted. Twenty out of twenty. We immediately understood that he was our man, and he agreed to it."
- Rupert Knivdal, cardiologist and founding member of the NPC

After attending an elite boarding school and studying at the renowned Swanbridge University, Frankenstein founded FlexiCo, a tiremaking business that provides over twenty thousand jobs within Kazulia and another fifteen thousand internationally. His net worth is estimated to be just short of the one billion mark, making him one of the 20 richest enterpreneurs of Kazulia.

While the party mostly caters to the needs of "those who feel left behind" - pensioners and unemployed, uneducated juveniles from poor communities - the highest positions are occupied by a clique of landed nobles and businesspeople, all white men well beyond their forties. Frankenstein himself is 72 years old; his deputy Edmund Olsen is 69. Sociologist Hans Kristofsen sees this as a "toxic combination" - according to him, a party can "by no way preach outright elitism while trying to appease the working poor" and a "severe failure" is awaiting the well-funded campaign.

Frankenstein is planning to run for Statsminister in the next election.

Earlier this week, the NPC surprised Storting with a set of several proposals. By law, the parliament is required to review them, even if they don't come from a party that is part of the government. Along with projects for a "nationalization" of the death penalty and introduction of mandatory execution for a set of "dire capital offences" and the return of the rattan cane not only to schools but also to juvenile justice, a package of laws that involves severe restrictions on abortion and the complete ban of pornography dubbed "National Morality Act I" is currently being debated by members of the ruling coalition. Frankenstein himself has also stated that he "demand[s] that the Kingdom immediately withdraws from the Protection of LGBT Act, for it severely decreases the value of the traditional, loving family".

Storting is expected to finish voting at the end of next week. Stay tuned for more news and subscribe to kn.online today - for free!

The National Weather Service has confirmed that this year’s winter will last considerably longer than usual. Ski resorts in the northern provinces are expecting to be able to operate until at least early May.

The 2nd of March has brought severe snowfalls and temperatures below -20 degrees celsius in Agatha and Dreton, continuing the February trend. At the same time, snow in the central highlands is beginning to melt, bringing river floods to the southern provinces.

SHOCKING corruption bombshell shatters the parliament: HD EXPELLED from Stortinget
Knivedalen “very, very disappointed” over relations with Anti-Infanticide League, Frankenstein denies any connection and demands EXECUTION for culprits

After successfully passing through the gauntlet of a trust vote two months ago, Prime Minister Alexander Knivedalen was confronted with the next great challenge this monday. A team of reporters of the Skalm Søndagskurier had uncovered documents confirming that several members of the Hosiandemokraterne had accepted large sums of money (over 600 million kronor in total) from a dubious Ostmarkish bank account.

What sounded like a typical lobbyist bribe scandal proved to be much direr: the bank account in question, which has now been frozen by Ostmarkish authorities, was quickly backtraced as belonging to a letterbox company owned by Carl Janosz Løntjer, the President of the Kazulian Anti-Infanticide league, a far-right organization opposing abortion. After his arrest at noon, the fundamentalist preacher of Hulstrian descent admitted that he wanted to “convince the delegates to vote in favor of the National Morality Act”, an extensive motion proposed earlier this year by the National Purity Congress which would not only outlaw abortion but also pornography and sex education in schools. Theodor Lynden Frankenstein, the chief of the NPC who has attained fame as an ultranationalist and populist, neofascist demagogue in the events following the foundation of the party, has issued a press statement in which he denies any affiliation with Løntjer and “does not know the man”. Løntjer has not responded to this yet; a conspiracy theorist active on the internet platform Greendit posted alleged “e-mail and SMS leaks showing communication” between the two right-wing extremists.

A complete purge of the Storting and re-election has been decided against by the present cabinet and party leaders in today’s session.

Only 176 out of 435 seats are now occupied - an all-time low. Sociologist Hans Kristofsen has proclaimed “the end of the centrist dominance” and called the current state of government a “dysfunctional rump parliament”, expecting great alarm at a possible “bonus” for the National Purity Congress, whose leading members he calls “neofeudalists” and “blatantly bigoted nazis”. Citizens are losing trust in the crumbling coalition - it is expected that a large number of “protest voters” will help the fascists acclaim a “significant number of seats” next year.

Update: Theodor Lynden Frankenstein has victimized himself in a “brutal” tirade in the neoconservative political talkshow Folksstemme, calling both Bukkrytter and Knivdalen “corruptioneers” and demanding that the HD delegates who received the questionable money are “rounded up, put infront of a wall and shot by machineguns” to be “fed to the dogs”. It is currently being determined whether or not he could be subject to a libel charge.

We don’t know much about the near future of our political system - but we can all damn well say that the next eleven months will be a bumpy ride.

KD ministers approval rating all-time high
Image
Minister Einar Hermansson seen having a 'birdhunt' in the outskirts of Skalm

Despite the ongoing crisis the Knivedalen cabinet's currently facing in regards to the latest corruption scandal shattering the trust and confidence HD showed, as well as the 'regular' rump parliament taking place once more, certain individual ministers gain a positive, all-time high approval rating, especially those belonging to the KD; namely Minister of Internal Affairs Einar Hermansson and Minister of Infrastructure & Transport Viktoria Rehn.

Cited reasons would be the party, despite holding merely two ministerial positions, respecting their respective offices and actually delivering on Campaign promises including reforms within the National Police, a reformed postal service which meant that a nationalised service operates alongside private ones (credited to Minister Einar Hermansson) as well as the ambitious and costly yet promisiing infrastructure Project which Kazulia hasn't seen for a while, under the supervision of Minister Viktoria Rehn. Whether that will be enough in order for the KD to gain additional seats in the parliament once the national elections turn up, it'll remain to be seen.

Our reporters were given the chance by Hermansson to accompany him on a 'birdhunt' excursion in the outer woods of Skalm, citing that it's one of his favorite, relaxing hobbies if he has the time to do so from the stressful realities of work. Out of a myriad of questions ranging from his own experiences felt within the responsible ministry he's responsible for and the Knivedalen cabinet to upcoming plans and Projects for the future if KD's still clinging to Power, Hermansson suggested that KD has been in the talks with DLK in regards to 'establishing an equally ambitious science project' but remained sparse with the details. The minister also took the opportunity to comment on recent events which shook the Knivedalen cabinet, including the exposed corruption scandal involving HD, citing that "It's the most unfortunate and should've never happened to begin this, as it will surely affect the perception and trust shown towards us from the Citizens of Kazulia who'd voted for an 'honorable and righteous' cabinet espousing the very best of Conservative ideals. At least the right decisions were taken by each respective part in the issue and thus could be resolved in a sense, though the fact that we're experiencing once again the infamous 'Kazulian' rump parliament is not a laughable joke matter and I do feel the same like many others such as frustration; we politicians really need to improve ourselves".

Hermansson also condemned ultra-rightwing politican and leader of the NPC Theodor L. Frankenstein's recent tirade which saw him accuse PM Knivedalen and 1st Deputy PM Bukkryter of being corrupt and threatening party members' lives in the process by advocating them to be “rounded up, put infront of a wall and shot by machineguns” and to be “fed to the dogs”, citing that such rhetoric "doesn't belong in a civilised society such as Kazulmark and perhaps he should wash his mouth with a great deal of soap in order to sanitize words before leaving that hole to begin with, and that he should feel glad that our country isn't as authoritarian and censored compared to other democracies, considering by now he would have tasted his very own medicine by the state apparatus; the fact that the NPC at the same time want to dismantle a democratic and open society Kazulmark is famously known for, is completely hypocritical to say the least".

Frankenstein unveils list of NPC cabinet candidates
No surprise: only rich, religious men on list - political watchdog organization criticizes undemocratic selection process

Image
Theodor Lynden Frankenstein, General Chairman of the NPC and candidate for Statsminister (right), with Frederik Vogner, the leader of the ultranationalist party's Skalm chapter

As the summer nears its end and next year's Storting election approaches, which promises to repair the current "rump parliament" in which less than a third of all seats are occupied, the major parties expected to run are starting to nominate cabinet candidates and compose delegate lists. One party has already selected its representatives - the Nationalrejnhedskongress, which has emerged last year and has no seats yet but is predicted to attain a "minor landslide victory" due to protest voters.

Party chief and billionaire Theodor Lynden Frankenstein, who rose to great prominency in spring following numerous tirades in which he complained about the "total moral corruption of our society by homoperverts" and demanded for those involved in the Ostland Papers scandal to be executed, has announced today that "all selections have been made" and that it was "the matter of minutes to find able men for all positions". The international political watchdog organization Partiwatch has criticized the "undemocratic selection process", which consisted of a hour-long "friendly talk" between Frankenstein and his most important confederates "in the style of a village shooting club".

However, the greatest outcries came from the feminist group Equality! and the Anti-Racist Union: all persons named are white, mature, strongly Hosian men with large net worths and extremely conservative attitudes. Ole Jakobsen, Kazulia's fourth-largest landowner and proud member of the "Anti-Yeudist Protection Front", is the party's candidate for the position of Minister of Food and Agriculture while Ivan Fartvengler, who wants to become Minister of Finance, is a conspiracy theorist who has promised that he will "do everything to expel the malicious Grünbergs and Lagerfelts from our national bank" and says that he is "proud to be of pure Skriger blood". Numerous well-known faces have appeared on the list - all businessmen who surprisingly swore allegiance to the NPC.

Image

Frankenstein, who has admitted that he wants to "radically change the system under which our government works" and thinks that "elections are unnecessary because the people know who their righteous ruler should be anyway", is currently being investigated by the National Financial Police on grounds of his alleged involvement in the HD corruption scandal he so blatantly condemned.

The list of cabinet candidates and most important party members can be found on the NPC’s website.

Meet Herbert Udvanger, the first NPC mayor
Municipal election in the town of Rodenkirken turned out well - a report by Kristjan Lønner

Image
Herbert Udvanger is a "local patriarch" to the farmers of the border area.

The cold winter wind comes from Ostland and Hulstria, blowing discarded newspapers and food cases across the snowy main square. Everything is quiet this morning; a majority of the city's residents are attending Sunday service at church.

The border tripoint is only eight kilometers away from the town center of Rodenkirken, one of Kazulia's southernmost towns and the seat of one of Kelvon's fifteen counties. Hulstrian and Ostlandish nationalist groups have always meddled with the politics of the primarily agrarian, working-class region that was settled by Dundorfian colonists many centuries ago and eventually fell to the Kazulian crown. The royal families and the presidents have never interested the local populance, for whose the "Hutorian problem" has always been more important. Neonazi groups frequently attack the Showan minority that numbers 15 percent in the county, using weapons that are smuggled at night across the green border with Ostland.

"Skalm doesn't care about us, so we don't care about Skalm", says Jan Maier, a 78-year-old farmer whom we could win for a short conversation. "The only party which really cares about us is the NPC. All others treat us like useless scum."

We sit in a run-down cafe on the square and watch as a lonely worker arrives and begins to set up the first stalls for the weekly Sunday Afternoon Market. Two other men wearing technical overalls start gluing election posters to the walls of the colorful buildings, most of them promoting the far-right National Purity Congress.

"Frankenstein is rich. Yes, he is. But he is not a 'neo-feudalist'. This is what the left is saying. The left is in control of the media. The parties which call themselves 'conservative' are vassals of the left", says the old Kelvonian with a distinct Kiennese accent. The farmers of the region speak an archaic transistional dialect that stands between Kazulian and Hulstrian Dundorfian.

"Frankenstein is the only politician who visited us in the last twenty years. He promised us land reforms, and he will hold his promises. And Herbert Udvanger will hold his promises, too. I know him and he knows Frankenstein."

The General Chairman of the National Purity Congress had held a rally there in late December. Twenty thousand people from the area attended it, some even arrived from as far as Kien. Maier leads us up the church tower after we quietly pass through the crowd inside the neogothic building. The pastor, who is holding a sermon in the local dialect, gives him a friendly wink. The winter wind whips our faces with great intensity as we enter the open bell chamber. Maier points at a faint hill in the south, already in Hulstria. "Castle Frankenstein", he exclaims.

The fascist politician's ancestors, knights and vassals of the Hulstrian emperor, owned the estate until it was sold to an investor from Dorvik.

Image
Town center of Rodenkirken, Kelvon. The town is famous for almost always voting conservative.

Frankenstein's campaign has been very effective in the region thanks to Herbert Udvanger, who has become mayor of Rodenkirken and county administrator in the regional election last week. The landowner and enterpreneur, distantly related to Frankenstein himself, is considered to be one of the founding members of the NPC, which originated in the area. The 65-year old former teacher and professor is noted for advocating unification between Hulstria, Kazulia and Ostland and deportation of Gao-Showans. He will become the governor of the Fylke if Frankenstein attains a majority in the nearing election.

We arrive at Udvanger's new office in the city hall. He puts the crate which he is unpacking down and greets us heartily. His secretary brings us tea and chocolate cake. Our first question pertains to the nature of the promised "land reforms", which Frankenstein, who is a major landowner, is propagnating.

"We will drive out foreign landlords and give the land back to the Kazulian and Hulstrian people living here", proclaims the mayor. He is the first NPC member to win a local election in the kingdom - at 77.5%. "The Grünberg maffia is in control of two farms that directly border the city. They have stolen them from the peasants who originally lived there."

Yes - Udvanger (whose brother, Kurt Udvanger, is the director of the local grammar school) believes in conspiracy theories that claim the total control of Kazulian economy by a handful of Yeudic families.

Socialists warn that Frankenstein, who already owns two factories (and is the largest employer) in the unemployment-stricken county, will not redistribute the land amongst the poor but rather give it to his confederates, all billionaires hungry for more wealth.

"Total nonsense. Everybody who says that has been paid to sabotage our campaign by the centrist parties, who are afraid of power loss and understand the strength of the NPC", answers the local patriarch who has known Frankenstein since he worked as the director of a FlexiCorp site.

We ask about Udvanger's stance on the indigenous Showans. He hesitates, carefully deciding what to say.

"I am not a racist. I don't have anything against Showans or Dankukians or anybody else. I just think that our peoples can not exist together peacefully and believe in an ethic Kazulian-Dundorfic state."

Udvanger spends the rest of the conversation monologizing about the dangers of "the left". He speaks more carefully than Frankenstein himself, not wanting to be called a "fascist" and preferring the term "conservative nationalist" (and yet can not precisely describe the difference between the two words).

Image
Castle Frankenstein, the former estate of Theodor Lynden Frankenstein's Hulstrian ancestors, as seen from the border tripoint.

Back on the street, we meet the pastor, who refuses to tell us his name.

"God trusts in Frankenstein. I will vote for him and tell everybody who asks to do the same", says the young man, in anticipation of the Storting election.

"If I would be given the opportunity to change the vote results, I would do it. It's God's will. Have a nice day in our beautiful town."

The pastor must go home; lunch is waiting.

NPC wins in two Fylke in a “landslide victory”
Same number of seats as Arbeiderkongress - grand anti-Frankenstein coalition to be formed

Image
The new Storting. From left to right: National Worker Congress, Folkepartiet, De Liberale Konservative, Kazulmarksdemokratene, National Purity Congress

The National Election Commission has posted the results of the 4469 election, and politologists are already wondering where they will lead us. However, it is clear that there will be no return to the four-party centrist government we experienced in the last years.

Five parties have participated in the election. At 37% of all votes, the Folkepartiet won again. The National Workers’ Congress secured 23 percent in its surprising comeback - general secretary Nordhagen admitted that the primary intention was to “counter the danger coming from the National Purity Congress”. Latter party, which bears a striking resemblance to the Arbeiderkongress in its name despite being positioned at the opposite end of the political spectrum, has secured 21 percent (!) of the votes cast in what some call a “small landslide victory”, even surpassing the predictions of prominent politologists and sociologists such as Hans Kristofsen, who gave them ten percent at most. Both the NWC and the NPC will occupy 96 seats, the FP 165.

The Liberal Conservatives have lost 28 percent of last year’s votes, mostly due to protest voters who chose the NPC over Knivedalen’s once-dominant party. At 14 percent and 63 seats, they score fourth, only followed by the KD at 4 percent and 15 seats respectively.

The Hosiandemokratne, still torn by the Ostland Papers scandal, have chosen not to campaign this year; the party is “on the brink of dissolution”. Numerous HD members have left the party and joined the KD and DLK instead; two even accepted an offer by Frankenstein to return to the parliament on behalf of the NPC.

Image
Hans Kristofsen, who teaches sociology at Skalm State University, warns of Frankenstein.

All 435 seats are now occupied again, the parliament has full voting powers - “back to normal”, as a KD delegate said, but “if we can call this ‘normal’”. The greatest surprise is of course the NPC’s positive result.

The far-right nationalist party led by the fascist billionaire Theodor Lynden Frankenstein has won the election in two Fylke - rural northern Agatha and Hent, whereas it acclaimed half of all votes in the latter region. It has been confirmed that large “celebrations” were held by NPC voters and NPC-affiliated hooligan groups in the border town of Verdalheim, in the course of which at least two Showa-run businesses were “brutally plundered” by bands of drunk men at night, according to the local police gazette. The NPC has already expressed its desire to install Gustav Sklenger, the party’s Hent chairman, as governor.

Image
Gustav Sklenger, possible new governor of Hent.

While Kristofsen does indeed warn of the danger of the resurgence of nationalism and expects the NPC to attempt changing governmental structures in the regions it is most powerful in, he says that “the Kazulian people will quickly realize that it was a mistake to vote for them” and that “no lasting changes or effects are probable”, even though the NPC is third. Only in Hent does the NPC have a half majority that allows it to pass non-constitutional laws by itself, and “in all cases the other parties will likely form a grand anti-Frankenstein coalition if needed”. And yes - two NPC proposals carried over from the last election period have already been boycottingly voted down in what commentators call “a never-seen-before act of solidarity in the fight against a common enemy”.

A major politician has stated that he is “ready to work with the NPC, just like with any other party”, but only if “they revise their utterly extreme positions which are completely incompatible with a democratic and pluralistic society”. He is expected to stay in office for another term - yesterday, most parties voted to keep the Knivedalen cabinet, which consists of DLK and KD members only, declining the NPC’s proposal of a setup which includes ministers of all parties, including the FP and NWC. Theodor Lynden Frankenstein demands two ministerial positions (Internal Affairs and Food/Agriculture) for his party, but has said that “he can work with one”.

Four interesting years await us.
