Prime Minister Justo happily reports to the nation the present progress of the mega projects under the continue InfraRevolution Project

FORTRESO — Prime Minister Justo announced that he will continue the started project of his predecessor, the InfraRevolution and that many projects will be started soon as the government increases spending on infrastructure.

The InfraRevolution was funded by the huge amassed surplus of the Treasury for many decades due to balanced budgeting of the previous administrations. Huge projects are to be started throughout the country, most notably the smart city “Dream City” situated 21 miles away from the capital which is currently under construction. The city was designed by the internationally-acclaimed Sansa Zadid Architectures and reportedly features the soon-to-be tallest tower that will surpass Istalia’s Tower of Istalians.

“It is with great happiness and pride to inform all of you that Zardugal is currently having many mega projects,lots of them have started already and are ongoing, some are still being planned out, some may be nearing its finishing as various projects have already started many years ago like the soon New Fortreso International Airport which is I believe in the midway of being finished. The Dream City also is one of the projects that I am proud of as many businessmen and real estate companies have collaborated with us to push the project. The project has started its construction 2 years ago, we have already seen many buildings and features of the city there started to be built, but we are expecting its finishing maybe 3 years from now. More projects will soon be revealed,” said Prime Minister Justo.

Big real estate development corporations like ZIP and Kowalski International are reportedly partners in the development of the major ongoing infrastructure projects.

“We will be visiting the construction sites soon to survey how the projects are doing. I have been to the New Fortreso International Airport and the central vortex of the building has already been done. The construction of the airport is progressing faster as we are trying to reach the November 4624 deadline,” said Infrastructure and Transport Minister Juan Felipe Manetras.

The new Supreme Court building is also currently under construction as well as the Audiencia Nacional building and are expected to be finished by July 4624.



Indralan architecture firm DaiTzu Architects have recently unveiled their design for a skyscraper to be built in Beleco, the Agusta International Center which will climb a height of approximately 700 meters (2,297 feet). It will feature one of the world’s highest observation experiences as well as a restaurant, a night club, spa services, and a grand swimming pool. In the evenings, the tower itself will be a visual, sound, and light show.

Meanwhile, the mixed-use district that surrounds and connects with the tower contains a five-star hotel, offices, and conference facilities. A major retail facility defines the northeast corner of the site, while a community of apartment towers occupies the northwest section. The masterplan integrates a new public realm that combines cultural and retail programs anchored by a cultural center and a main library. Programmed venues have open and enclosed spaces for recreation, leisure, tourism, art, dining, and social gatherings. The site is connected by landscaped promenades with integrated water features.

From an environmental standpoint, buildings have been oriented to respond to existing environmental solar conditions for enhanced passive solar control. The development was also designed so that winds predominantly from the east and northeast are funneled into the open spaces to provide natural ventilation. High-performance glass will be used to reduce heat gain, while strategic natural lighting intends to increase human comfort levels. The complex also will have a public transportation center and bus terminal to move large groups of people to and from the site.

The construction of the AIC is expected to begin on December, 4623.

National Democratic Party sweeps general elections

Beleco, State of Endiraho - The Department of the Interior was notified that the National Democratic Party had registered with the National Election and Campaign Commission hours prior to the call for early elections by the Democratic Union. The National Democratic Party, led by constitutional lawyer Sebastiano Aleksandarido and former Beleco Metropolitan Police Department Captain Nikodimo Gabro, was formed in the waning hours of July 10th, 4642 and was joined by several dozen other center-right political activist and fundraisers. In the run-up to the October, 4642 snap general elections, the National Democratic Party campaigned for a rebuilt Zardic Federation, a federal republic that was representative of all members of the Zardic nation, not just the few that had risen to power and abused the Zardic system of government for many years. Now sitting as the interim President of the Zardic Federation, Sebastiano Aleksandarido has promised a return to "...stability and order." something that the short campaign had prided itself on. In the short time prior to the snap general elections, the National Democratic Party laid out a platform for a constitutional assembly to be formed and then handle the passing of a new constitution. The National Democratic Party won all seats in the interim Federation Senate when elections were held on October 2nd and by October 5th had a constitutional assembly formed.

On October 11th the constitutional assembly made up of mostly NDP members had approved and ratified the new Constitution of the Zardic Federation. On October 13th, the following Monday, the first Federation Senate was formally sworn in and immediately set out to work. President Sebastiano appeared before the Federal Senate and laid out a number of landmark legislative initiatives. The President reintroduced a number of titular changes, formally reorganizing the various ministries into Departments of the government, recognizing the "Ministers" as "Secretaries" and other changes that stand in line with previous constitutions that have involved in the Zardic Federation. The President laid out an ambitious tax and budgetary change that brought down taxation on all earners in Zardugal and managed to "unbloat" the budget from a paper standpoint. The President also had his first cabinet approved by all Senators with 550 of the new Senators approving the cabinet that was proposed by the President.

Notable members of the incoming cabinet include Secretary of Defense Vasakio Manoilido, the incoming Secretary will be tasked with the reform of the entire Zardic Federation Armed Forces which for centuries was looked upon with jealousy and desire, now a hulking mass sitting in port with little to show for it. Secretary Manoilido will be faced with a state of the art fleet that is largely in disrepair, armed forces that lack a centralized and committed leadership and overall dwindling morale. While the prospects of a reinvigorated armed forces look promising, the Department of the Interior will be faced with even greater challenges and tribulations underneath Secretary of the Interior Palatina Dulkitido, a former Zardic National Intelligence officer who has been charged with the homeland security of the entire Zardic Federation. Secretary Dulkitido is facing a mounting refugee and humanitarian crisis on the southern and eastern borders, Cobura and Deltaria. Despite the prospects of the end of the Coalition-Deltarian War, the number of applicants for visas and political asylum have increased ten-fold. Illegal immigration has caused makeshift shanty towns on both the eastern and southern borders, causing protests and violence to break out among locals and their new neighbors. One of the first acts of the incoming Secretary was the dispatch of nearly 1,000 new Federal Customs and Border Protection officers, including the Special Response Team will be deployed on the eastern and southern borders to "...meet the needs of protecting human rights and the borders of the Zardic Federation."

Despite the bleak security situation, the incoming Secretary of Finance Vita Fajado and Secretary of Trade and Industry Abebo Basiliakido believe they have a better grip on the future of the Federation. Secretary Fajado spoke at length about the President's tax and budgetary reforms, citing the "...strong work that was done with several members of the cabinet and nearly 50 Senators. My department is eager to rebuild the domestic economy of Zardugal one step at a time." This was followed by several major announcements by Secretary of Trade and Industry Basiliakido such as the announcement of the Federal Import-Export Bank, the creation of the Office of the Zardic Trade Representative and the strong desire to build a strong regional economy but develop and connect with other countries, such as Vanuku, Cobura, Kazulia, Dorvik, Narikaton and Darnussia and others.

While economics and defense are a top priority, the President is eager to re-examine the Federal Healthcare and Aid Program (FHCAP) which was introduced in the 45th century by President Pato Zoranido but was largely neglected after the Federal Democratic Party was ousted from power by a strangely well organized Communist coup d'etat. Secretary of Health and Social Services Dr. Branko Eŭpatarido and the Zardic Federation Attorney-General (Secretary of Justice) Opilio Kabasilo will be meeting with President Aleksandarido in early November to discuss the launching of the program. Senate Health and Social Services Committee Chairman Dr. Teodoro Honoratido will also be present as will several other Senate Health and Social Services Committee members.

Senate approves new Chairman of the Joint Defense Staff


General Formoso Nepotianido appears before the Senate Committee on the Armed Forces

Beleco - After several hearings in front of the Senate Committee on the Armed Forces, the Senate has confirmed General (Zardic Army) Formoso Nepotianido as the new Chairman of the Joint Defense Staff. General Nepotianido will have a heavy load as he has to rebuild the once world-dominant Zardic Armed Forces. In his several hour-long testimony before the Senate Armed Forces Committee, the General laid out his plans for the development of a "...formidable, mobile and agile armed forces that focused on the ability to project power and defend Zardic interests at home and abroad." One of the first developments according to the General was the development of a readiness plan that would allow the Zardic Armed Forces to mobilize large amounts of conscript and reserve troops to professional status. The General noted that the ZAF would be focused on the signing of long term contracts versus the use of conscription, something that he had proposed to Secretary of Defense Vasakio Manoilido in the run-up to his selection as the top officer for the Chairman of the Joint Defense Staff. The National Democratic Party proposed the "National Defense and Security Act" which formally outlawed conscription in Zardugal and introduced a mandatory draft in the event of war. General Nepotianido stated that the draft was optional and was based on the need for troops. General Nepotianido proposed a four-tier system, first the deployment of professional troops, then the re-call of reserve troops, the usage of Federal Guard troops through an act of the Federal Senate to federalize them and finally the institution of the draft.

The Senate also confirmed the appointments of Chief of the Staff of the Zardic Army, General Gligorio Kabako. The Chief of Naval Operations of the Zardic Navy, Admiral Volusiano Isidorido. The Chief of Staff of the Zardic Air Force, General Tesfajo Honorido. The Commandant of the Zardic Marine Corps, General Petemino Maliko. General Nepotianido noted that the first of his many plans was the deployment of the Zardic Navy to conduct a number of training scenarios aboard the several dozen vessels that remain active in the Zardic Naval Service. Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Isidorido weighed in following the appointments of himself and others; he promised that the Zardic Navy would achieve a 100% readiness status underneath his tenure and that it would be done in "...record time. Zardic citizens need this for their protection." Zardugal, at its height, operated several hundred vessels, including some of the most state of the art supercarriers. Now, however, only 1 Onassus-class aircraft carrier the ZNS Aleksandra Onasido remains operational with the Zardic First Fleet, Carrier Strike Group 1.

The Zardic Air Force lead by the new Chief of Staff of the Zardic Air Force, General Tesfajo Honorido noted that the current capabilities of the Air Force would be reviewed and would undergo an extensive modernization, the Chief of Staff was tight-lipped and noted that the bomber fleet and its state of the art aircraft were to undergo "...emergency maintenance."

Theodosio V crowned Emperor and Autocrat of the Augustans

Beleco - In a wave of purple across the nation, the new government of Zardugal has proclaimed a new Augustan Empire. Theodosio V was named as the new Emperor and Autocrat of the Augustans, the first to hold a proper Augustan title in several decades. In a speech before the gathered Imperial Senate, the Emperor spoke to the desire to return Zardugal to the forefront of the regional and international political scene. He has welcomed new governments in Vanuku and Jakania and the rise of a potentially stable government in Kafuristan. His Imperial Majesty noted that Zardugal has a storied history as a "juggernaut" on the continent and once played a pivotal role in world affairs but has now largely been relegated to state "...that was." He welcomed the new Tagmata Movement, a movement primarily comprised of soldiers and senior politicians from the outgoing regime that were loyal to the monarchy. A number of the Tagamata Movement members have been elected as Senators. The incoming Grand Logothete Konstantino Aleksandrido, the new title for the head of government, has stated that the incoming government will work on building trade relations throughout the globe primarily with regional allies and moving to rebuild their long lost economic glory. Aleksandrido noted that the government had approached Vanuku, Jakania and Kafuristan to build favorable trade deals that work in everyone's favor. The incoming Grand Logothete has appointed a number of recently elected Senators as Logothete's in the new government; including former Vice President of the Conference of Zardic Banks who now assumes the role of the Logothete of the Imperial Treasury Pecirio Eŭtiĥido. Eŭtiĥido announced that he had several prominent meetings, notably with officials from the struggling Kostandian Bay Maritime Corporation which has approached the new government about contracts that were partially filled or never filled. The verdict for the success of the future government is largely dependent on the actions that the new Imperial Senate takes over the next several years if they can correct the path.

Priest's New Bestseller Leads to Formation of Political Movement

Founder of the Augustan Revelation Movement, Boethio Natanailido, gave up his life of solitude as a Terran Patriarchal Priest to enter politics.

Boethio Natanailido was set for a quite life of solitude. As a priest within the Zardic wing of the Terran Patriarchal Church, he was just one of many Zardics here in the newly reestablished Augustan Empire who had devoted himself to a modest career within the church. That has all changed, however, following the publication of his theological work Reda estos la Tokundianoj which has become an overnight bestseller, and has inspired Natanailido to give up the peaceful corridors of the monasteries for the hectic halls of power.

His new book, which translates to Redemption of the Tokundians in Luthorian, explores why Boh, and by extension Iliya, created the pantheon of Blazhi to help manage creation given he was powerful enough to do administrate Terra without them. Natanailido comes to the conclusion that the Blazhi exist as a predetermined reward for the Deltarian people for their loyalty to the Augustan Empire, which he argues is the governmental vessel through which Boh exerts his power. The work follows a previous, less well known book written by Mr. Natanailido named Augusta Legitimeco (Luthorian: "Augustan Legitimacy") which argues that the centre of the Terran Patriarchal Church should be located in Zardugal instead of Deltaria.

The consequence of this small-time priest's new found success is the formation of the political movement, the Aŭgustena Revelacia Movado, or Augustan Revelation Movement, which is focused around the establishment of a Terran-wide Augustan Empire, and the establishment of Zardugal as the centre of the Terran Patriarchal Church (TPC). This is justified through the argument that Iliya will only reveal himself from hiding to people living in the Augustan Empire as it is the sole legitimate Hosian church.

Despite the secularised society which is evident within the Augustan Empire, the vast majority of the population are still, to some degree members of the TPC, and the establishment of a theology which places Zardugal front and centre of the church will undoubtedly be popular amongst a proud peoples who still reminisce about the glories of previous Augustan Empires, which at their height spanned the whole of Southern Majatra.

Speaking in front of his first rally, Natanailido was keen to stress, despite the imperialistic and fundamentalist nature of the new movement that the Augustan people deserved and rightly expected extensive political and civil rights. Yet he undertoned this with the warning that just because you can, doesn't mean you should, pointing out that although the Zardic people were entitled to many civil liberties, some were still morally unjustifiable if an individual wishes to enter Heaven.

"The Augustan people, by virtue of birth, are already half-way to heaven. This affords them, undoubtedly, freedoms and liberties which more unwieldly folk should not be given. However, I warn of you all not to get complacent. For whilst these liberties must be granted through virtue of your position as Augustan citizens, not all liberties provided to you are on the path to salvation and Iliya."

There have naturally, already been some harsh rebuttals of this latest political movement from across the political and social spectrum. Whilst the Terran Patriarchal Church is yet to comment on its rogue priest, the Zardic All-Peoples Association attacked the movement as ethnically-charged Augustan supremacist. This comes despite the fact that Boethio Natanailido has stressed that the ARM follows an ideology of civic nationalism, and rejects any form of ethnic hierarchy.

This new movement, is undoubtedly a peculiar and original one. Made up of seemingly glaring-contradictions, Boethio Natanailido seems to have managed to form a libertarian, Augustan imperialist movement which espouses a conservative, Deltarian religion. That in itself is an extraordinary feat of intellectual success. Yet, it is whether or not the Augustan people will make sense of this oxymoronic movement, which will determine the fate of the movement.

Natanailido: Government should not have participated in the Dolguz Conference

The Aŭgustena Revelacia Movado has today condemned the government's involvement in the Dokuz Conference in Jakania, claiming that it sends the wrong message to people who do not follow the teachings of the Terran Patriarchal Church. Referencing the movement's core belief that Eliyahu will only reappear to people living in an Augustan Empire, the party has suggested that this internationalist stance fails to redeem anybody living in Ahmadic majority countries.

Natanaildo released a statement outlining his movement's disagreement with the government's participation at the Conference. He launched a scathing attack on the government's presence at the meeting, but did recognise the caveats placed by the representative regarding the issues of an Ahmadic state:

The Aŭgustena Revelacia Movado unequivicably condemns the actions taken by the Government on behalf of our most Imperial Majesty regarding their attendance of, and their apparent receptiveness to, the Conference in Dokuz regarding Ahmadic organisation. This sends the wrong message to millions of honest Hosian Augustans who are faithful to our temporal King, Iliya, as well as our wordly Emperor, his Majesty Theodosio V.

This is not to suggest that we are implying any ill will to Ahmadic peoples. It is not for us to judge, but for Iliya, over whether or not the eternal Kingdom will be mercifully given to these people. Yet Iliya has clearly made apparent that one such requirement is to be a citizen of the Augustan Empire, and until the day where the peoples of their respective countries submit to Boh's chosen Kingdom. It is for this reason that the government should not entertain the idea of other nationstates' maintained existence at the expense of their peoples.

That being said, the Government's focus on preventing an Ahmadic state and terrorism within Southern Majatra is admirable. We would rather action be taken unilaterally, however.

Excubitors ordered to investigate the Augustan Revelation Movement

Beleco - His August Imperial Majesty, the Emperor and Autocrat of the Augustans Theodosio V has approved a formal investigation into the Augustan Revelation Movement following criticism of His August Imperial Majesty's government and their participation in the interfaith dialogue at the Dokuz Conference. The Excubitors were established as the de facto domestic intelligence and security agency tied closely to the Emperor and the Imperial Court; the first commanding officer of the Excubitors was a close intelligence ally of the Emperor, Anaro Kirilido, a former Lieutenant in the Imperial police force. The law which the Excubitors were granted authority is commonly called the "Excubitors Law" and provides them a wide berth to investigate and protect the domestic establishment within the Augustan Empire. According to Commander Kirilido the investigation is in its preliminary stages and will take several months to investigate if the new Augustan Revelation Movement has ties to radical republican and radical Patriarchal groups within the Augustan Empire that seek to subvert the Emperor and the Imperial Court as a whole. Grand Logothete Konstantino Aleksandrido was unavailable for comment but Logothete Svetozaro Reginido, the leading official within the Domestic Office and the Grand Domestic noted that the investigation was underneath the purview of the Excubitors and that the Domestic Office was cooperating in whatever manner the Excubitors desired.

Augustan Revelation Movement Says Claims of Republican Links "Slanderous"

Boethio Natanailido stubbornly rejected the allegations of links to republican movements in the press.

There was an air of disbelief amongst the ARM camp today following reports that the movement was to be investigated by the Imperial Excubitors for potential links to republican groups in the Augustan Empire. The Movement, which calls for the creation of a Terran wide Augustan Empire has denied any involvement with republican groups with party leader, Natanailido, calling such movements "treasonous enemies of the Emperor." There was, however, no response from the ARM regarding potential links to radical Patriarchal groups when contacted for comment by this newspaper.

Following the announcement that the Emperor signed off on granting a formal investigation, the movement was quick to release a statement scoffing at the idea they were linked to any group who wished to overthrow the Emperor. Party insiders have reported a sense of amazement at such allegations given the party's support for the formation of the Augustan Empire, and their consistent praise for the Emperor.

Natanailido, a usually mild-spoken man, was unapologetic when speaking to the media later that day.

Naturally the Augustan Revelation Movement welcomes any investigation which will allow us to prove our innocence. This movement serves three masters. Boh, the Emperor and the Augustan people. To serve anyone else would be unpatriotic and heretical. We merely seek to spread the message of Iliya and bring salvation to the people of the Empire. The ARM rejects the notion that we are linked in anyway to such treasonous enemies of the Emperor. Yet we must move past these slanderous claims of republicanism and continue to fight for a nation strong under Boh, Iliya and the Emperor.

Political commentators widely agree it seems unlikely that the Augustan Revelation Movement would have links to groups who it is ideologically opposed to. They do, however, point to the fact that the ARM is almost fanatical in its religious beliefs, and it would not be much of a surprise if some members of the movement did indeed have connections to other radical Patriarchal groups. Furthermore, the movement's silence on the second part of the investigation has led to some analysts to question what the movement may be hiding.

Kostandia -The city of Kostandia, commonly known as Kostandian Bay, has experienced a massive revival underneath Tagmata Mayor Heraia Agapetido, elected alongside the Tagamata Movement's impressive sweep of nation-wide elections. Her platform was focused largely on the re-development of the industrial areas of Kostandia and the focus on bringing workers back into the city to provide a stable tax base as well as rejuvenate the cities once popular downtown tourist area. Her election signaled a massive shift, she was the first female mayor of the city in several decades and served as one of the regional campaign managers for Unkaso while running her own campaign for Mayor of Kostandia. The city, once the industrial heart of the Zardic economy was left in tatters following a series of failed national governments and lackluster international and domestic trade policies. While Agapetido is simply the mayor, she has a massive regional presence as she seeks to craft economic policy within the city to ensure that it is prepared for the development of both Zardic and international businesses. One of her first steps was the reformation of the Kostandia Police Department (KPD) underneath the leadership of Commissioner Simeono Formosido a veteran officer who served as the Chief of the Department. The KPD provides the city with city-wide police services and the new Commissioner, who serves at the pleasure of the Mayor was instrumental in the re-organization of the Imperial Police Chief Associations (IPCA) alongside the Commissioner of the Beleco Metropolitan Police Department (BMPD) Pantelejmona Dinamido, the first female commissioner of police in Beleco. The two make up the face of modern day law enforcement in the Augustan Empire and have worked heavily to ensure that the soaring crime rates continue to drop as to attract tourist to the city. Logothete of Environment and Tourism Zorano Mosĥido has worked closely, as has the Office of Environment and Tourism to provide countries around Zardugal with statistics to show that crime, especially economic crimes such as petty larceny and robbery has been squashed.

While law enforcement and attracting tourism to the city have been a massive focal point, the mayor has not neglected the problems that continue to face the city. She merged several public-private housing corporations and built a single public-private, city run housing agency meant to aid in the cure of the homelessness problem in the city. The new Konstandia Housing Authority and its new Commissioner have provided nearly 30,000 apartments since she assumed office in September of 4741. The plan is to provide up to 250,000 apartments from the KHA, an ambitious plan that the mayor seeks to continue when her term expires in a few years. She spoke to reporters from the Kostandian Bay Herald, which bears the old name of the city, as saying: "The KHA has really helped us provide shelter for those who have fallen on hard times. We cannot neglect that many of these people were failed because of government action in the past. The KHA is not simply a permanent fixture, we're seeking to get these people back on their feet. Weekly we provide workshops on resume writing, how to apply to jobs as well as at least once a month try to get people to job fairs across the city to ensure that they have access to jobs that will help them provide for themselves and their families. Our work with the KHA is instrumental." The mayor has been a big proponent of public housing despite the affiliation with the right-wing Tagmata Movement which is primarily made up of conservative, traditional military and security officials but in the face of governing have taken on a more right-wing role of small government and bolstering theme and local governments to do their part.

The partnering with the Kostandian Bay Maritime Corporation has also provided the city with a number of economic benefits. The Office of Defense, the federal level defense department, has focused on rebuilding the aging Zardugal Navy and the new drive to replace and repair ships has exploded over the past several years. A spokesperson from the Office of Defense stated that the repair and rebuilding stage are underway and have been for the past four years, the building stage will be the next phase. Already according to several economic experts the KBMC will likely grow to surpass its previous record high employment numbers of 500,00 within the next several years if the work continues. While the KMBC is a major corporate representative in Zardugal, several other major corporations have returned to mass hiring, including many federal, theme and local agencies that have relied on the age old civil service tests and civil service lists that have been at the foundation of the Zardic government for centuries.
