Huge Success for VSP

With Anna Wittke set to take the Bundeskanzlership and Ralf Koeppen becoming Präsident (with the party only endorsed by the PRF) the VSP have seen huge success in their first election since re-establishing themselves a few years ago. The party also gained the governorship of historically leftist Kozaria (Kontinia) and won the most seats with 28 seats in the Bundestag.

The party has said that "co-operation and compromise" will be key to succeeding, and have pledged to stop paramilitary activites in light of the LP slaughter, as well as proposing tax cuts for the poor, various areas of nationalisation, increased funding in health and more secular education. In addition, they say they would like to "pick up where the LP left off" with regards to Luthorian negotiations, with the support of the VFD who shall hold the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

After Election Loss: Gottheldt lost office as ER chairman

After the recent Eiserner Ring defeat in the elections, the party leadership decided to impeach Gottheldt and hold the first democratic internal party election.
The results were clear, the members of the Iron Ring elected Dimitri Shukanov as the new chairman.

Narikaton announces Seccession Plans

Narikatoni nationalists and Governeur Werner Karsch have announced that they are in the process of drafting a declaration of Independence from the Federal Republic due to the recent victory of the socialists.
Narikaton was the only region in which the Iron Ring won a landslide victory, the thallerists did not make a statement yet. Given that they are still a unionist party they may actually denounce this course of action, but we do not know how new leader Dimitri Shukanov reacts, he could also cooperate with them. Some of our leaks state that the militias and paramilitaries have plans to occupy any government loyalist institution if necessary.

VSP Präsident Koeppen and Bundeskanzlerin Anna Wittke on Narikatoni Secession

"We would allow a referendum within Narikaton if necessary," admitted VSP Präsident Koeppen and Bundeskanzlerin Anna Wittke in a joint statement yesterday.

However, they did also respond to the concept of a militaristic secession with more force: "National forces are on hand ready to stand in militarily should the ER attempt to overthrow the will of a referendum, secede without this, or attempt to attack any loyalist institutions at any stage."

In addition, the pair said they would also require the people to have a period to decide in which nation they would like to live and would also require some kind of peace agreement and treaty with the new nation once independent.

They also reminded the nation that a referendum is not legally binding and the parliaments would require a period of negotiation before the official secession could take place.

Rumors about Mercenaries

The newly formed Separatist council of Narikaton is rumored to have hired mercenaries from Paradox, one of the most famous mercenary collectives and contract mediators.
These rumors have been spread by a leak from the councils office. Maybe they really are going to use violence to get their independence from the federal republic.

State Intelligence Engaging in "Full Investigation" Into Narikatoni Separatists, Military Stationed in Area

The official state intelligence agencies confirmed they were investigating the case earlier today, but would not give any further details, as is common practice. It is expected that surveillance, interviews and other investigations shall be taking place, and the state has indicated, have been for some time already.

When asked if they knew about the potentially hired mercenaries, they would respond only by saying "we understand a great deal. We cannot provide any further information."

Meanwhile, Bundeskanzlerin Anna Wittke has said that state military forces have been entered into the area and are ready for a potential assault. Armed Police units are also on high alert.

"Any military coup will be crushed with the utmost power and speed," she said.

She also confirmed that the ER is requested to provide an official statement.

Huge Election Success for VSP

In the latest 4249 election the VSP have won the third successive election in a row, with Anna Wittke expected to continue leadership and maintain the position of Bundeskanzlerin (won in her first election), now earning 33 seats of 129, maintaining its two Governorships in Clenon and Kozaria, and winning the position of Präsident with a whopping 58% in the second round with Anika Oppenheimer.

They have achieved the highest number of votes ever for the party in its entire history with almost 16 million votes, more than the VKP or VSP has ever achieved before and nearly 25% of the whole electorate.

The far-right ER is the second largest party still, however recent years show a distinct change in opinion on the "fascist" parties believed to be seeking the secession of Narikaton from the Bundesrepublik, however having lost the governorship to the VSP allies the KUP it seems unlikely this will succeed. "They have no mandate for it, though we STILL would consider a referendum if the public shows clear support," said Anna Wittke.

Rumours Spread About Dorvik Deal

While details are still unconfirmed, VoN can confrirm we have heard rumours from numerous trustworthy sources suggesting a possible negotiation for a deal with Dorvik, which will join the "still plausible Luthorian deal, which the government is now expected to finally return to working on," said our source. The government declined to comment.

Separatists occupy Narikaton
After the election results came in the Separatist Council wasted no minutes and gave the operation to seize Narikaton the "Go"
Being largest party was enough reason for them to believe they had a mandate to occupy and seize the island.

Only half a day passed after small skirmishes with the very small republican forces ended. The National Guard of Narikaton working together with the paramilitary of the Separatist Council signed the Declaration of Independence. Not-Recognized but effectively being a new nation. The Separatist Council also immediately prepared a Parliament and a government for Narikaton. Reichskanzler Richard Stahler has also proposed to Marlon VI von Thaller to rule as a monarch over Narikaton. The rightful King did not yet answer.
