NAP merges Darnussian sister branch, rebrands as the "People's Party", offers words of well wishes to King Alexander I
After successful negotiations, the NAP has merged with the SDAP, opting to adopt People's Party as the official name of the new party.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Today after negotiations between their sister branch in Darnussia, the Narikatonisch Arbeiderspartij has agreed to a merger with their aforementioned Dundorfian-speaking branch, prompting a rebranding of the party's name to suit both languages. After some debate, it was eventually decided that the new party would adopt the name "People's Party". Celebrating the success of their negotiations, NAP party Chairperson Sofie van der Woude held a public event with the SDAP's leader Stefan Hartstein, performing a ceremony in which the two raised bundles of roses, an infamous icon of social democracy and symbol of their newfound unity.

Both leaders also gave their condolences to the currently hospital-ridden Alexander I, who was the victim of an attempt on his life. Sofie van der Woude vowed to work across the aisle with the LDP on the issue of rising extremism, after pro-Thallerist groups recently claimed direct responsibility for the assassination attempt. Giving a moving speech before the House of Representatives in view of Prime Minister Maathuis, she once more called for unity in a time of great duress. Van der Woude also called upon the PM to seek action against these alleged pro-Thallerist terrorists, and to launch a formal investigation on behalf of the Royal Intelligence Service.

Mr. Speaker, Prime Minister Maathuis,

It has become clear that these movements are not content in standing idly by, watching their once unlimited authority be peacefully wretched away from them, as it should naturally be done so. No, for it is quite the contrary. As we've seen with the attempt on our own Narik King's life, these movements are no longer movements—They are terrorist groups who wish to sow violence, hate, and division within our nation. The time to act is now, and I call upon not just those of my own party, but of those across the aisle in the LDP to take a stand—Before our citizens are once more threatened like the dark days of old.

PRB forms "Volkswache"

Image

Under the influence of the PRB another Paramilitary called Volkswache (Peoples Guard) has formed. Its self proclaimed purpose is to protect Volksdundorfer against socialist oppression and violence. Leader of the organisation is Sepp vom Koksberg a former officer of the now dissolved army and PRB member.

The Volkswache celebrated their foundation with a march through Bruderkrieg. 4000 people joined the organisation immediately. Among them are many former soldiers, members of the radical right and even former members of Thallerist paramilitaries. While many citizens of Bruderkrieg cheered to the Volkswache there was also a counterdemonstration and some people involved in small fights with the Volkswache, however the event remained peaceful for the most part.

Highlight of the march was a small group of paramilitaries bearing old Thallerist standards. This kind of symbolism has not been seen in Narikaton for decades.

Explosion in Östermark metro leaves 34 dead, dozens injured—Thallerists expected to be the culprit
A rather quiet morning commute in the capital of both Narikaton and Darnussia turned into chaos after a massive explosion rocked the tunnel.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Östermark metro system is often known for its sleepy morning commutes, with passengers often entering and exiting in complete silence as they start their day. The usual hubbub was violently disrupted as the second train of the morning rode into the station violently exploded, instantly killing an estimated 34 passengers with many more being injured. The death toll is expected to rise, as several victims are currently being treated in critical condition. As the dust settled, and the dead retrieved by investigators, the remnants of an extremely powerful improvised explosive were safely retrieved from the twisted underside of the train.

Employees were questioned extensively by investigators, with many giving eyewitness reports that seemed to indicate that pro-Thallerist terrorists were the main force behind the attack. Security footage at a storage yard for metro trains also caught masked men attaching a device to the same exact train that exploded today. It also seemed like the alleged attackers also wore the uniforms of the PdRB's recently-formed paramilitary, who at their formation ceremony openly displayed Thallerist imagery, most notably the family's coat of arms as patches on their uniforms. Prime Minister Maathuis has already condemned the attack as "yet another act of senseless, unwarranted violence" and offered condolences to the families of those lost. Maathuis also announced that a formal investigation into the recent conduct of paramilitary forces on behalf of the Royal Intelligence Service, along with cooperating with the LDP on pushing their legislation regulating paramilitaries to the House floor.

Vom Koksberg denies any connection to metro murderers

Vom Koksberg welcomes Volkswache members to a special meeting

In an interview Volkswache leader Sepp vom Koksberg expressed his heartfelt condolences to the friends and families of the victims. He assured us that the Volkswache had nothing to do with the metro attack. "Our organisation is naturally purely defensive. We would of course never do such a thing, and I think I can speak on behalf of every member of the Volkswache to the friends and families of the victims: We are very sorry for your loss! I am sure we are innocent and I trust my men but we will of course lead internal investigations just to be completely sure."

We asked Mr. Vom Koksberg about the camera footage that allegedly showed members of the Volksgarde manipulating a train. "I am 100% sure that these were imposters. Two weeks ago a burglary took place in our headquarters along with money and computers a few uniforms were stolen. We already wondered what the burglar planned to do with these and now we now. It seems this group of people is trying to damage our image. Or maybe they are even trying to discredit the concept of paramilitaries and militias as a whole. I mean don't you think its astonishing how quickly the government came up with this anti paramilitary law. There's something fishy about it..."

"Fishy" indeed we think. Would People's party really kill dozens of people just to eliminate its political enemies? The theory seems quite plausible. The metro attack is the perfect opportunity to strike against people trying to defend themselves against tyranny, socialism and the degeneration of our culture. The next steps of the Peoples Party should be observed warily.

VP slams Volkswache leader for conspiracy theories, sets policies straight
Having had conspiracy theories and what VP claimed as "outright slander" thrown at them over last year's terrorist attack, Party Chair Sofie van der Woude set the platform of the party straight.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Today in an address before the House of Representatives, VP Chair Sofie van der Woude once more slammed the comments of far-right groups within the legislature, namely Volkswache, the paramilitary wing of the Partei des Reinen Blutes, and the PdRB themselves. Specifically the paramilitary's leader, Sepp vom Koksberg. Lashing out at the VP, decrying them as "socialists" and conspiring to commit the horrendous Östermark metro bombing last August. Van der Woude was quick to denounce the Volkswache's comments as extremely distasteful, stating that conspiracy theories have no place directed at such a tragedy.

The VP's Chair also reaffirmed the party's policy, stating explicitly that the party was not far-left in any way. Van der Woude then accused the Volkswache's leader of running a smear campaign, with the intent of dehumanizing their party in an attempt to further whip up support for authoritarianism. She also fired back at his claims that the VP and LDP were contributing to a degeneration of Narik and Darnussian culture. Firmly expressing the contrary, she stated that the VP, under it's previous iteration as the NAP pioneered the Homecoming Act, which guaranteed instant citizenship rights to displaced Nariks living outside of the country to encourage resettlement and rebuilding of Narik culture and traditions. "Mr. Koksberg's comments that we are contributing to a degeneration of the cultures of both Narikaton and Darnussia are completely unfounded. In fact, they are quite the contrary. Our party previously spearheaded the Homecoming Act, which allowed Nariks to return to their ancestral homes for the first time in decades."

Alongside her comments, several politicians of the VP have mulled the proposition of reinstating a ban on paramilitaries, along with advocating for a return of a full-time armed forces. One VP member of the House of Representatives went so far as to say that the LDP's gambit of dissolving the nation's armed forces in exchange for a stronger economy has "fallen completely on it's face".

"We are not far-leftists in any shape or form. We are center-leftist social democrats, who believe in capitalism with a human face. These outright lies being spread by far-right news outlets and organizations are outright shameful" Sofie van der Woude speaks before the House of Representatives on the recent claims made by the PdRB.

Narikaton turns blue in 4557 election
6. May 4557

Political experts all across the board have miscalculated the support for the re-awakened nationalists movements in the country. Both the Patriotic Alliance as well as the extremist Party of Pure Blood had massive gained in the recent elections. Especially the Patriotic Alliance celebrated because they were tied with the Liberal Democratic Party which leads to an interesting situation in parliament. Representatives of the PdRB have stated that they would support a LPD-PA coalition but no comments were given by either the liberals democrats nor from the Patriots as of yet. The Social Democrats got a symbolic slap in the face by losing Narikaton to the Patriots which increases the momentum for racial-revisionists such as the Patriotic alliance and the PdRB. This shows that past statements about cultural and racial issues are either false or blown out of proportion by the social democrats.

Liberal Democrats and Patriots form government
1. June 4557

After the surprising results of the last election the situation in parliament did lead to questions. Who was going to form a government, would the Liberal Democrats stay true to the spirit of the unity government or would they seize the opportunity to ally themselves with another right-wing party? The past week offered the answers. LPD officials together with PA representatives announced that they would form a coalition under a liberal-democratic chancellor.

Prime Minister Leeftink announces government deregulation and investment plan
With the new right wing coalition taking hold prime minister Leeftink has announced a comprehensive deregulation and investment plan to further improve the ND economy
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

With the major investments in infrastructure entering their finalizing stages and the new high traffic freight and passenger airport opened last month the infrastructure of the Rijksunie is once again in good condition, causing the government to focus on further developing the economy.
In a public adress shortly after his appointment by parliament Prime Minister Leeftink, who is entering his third term, announced that his new right wing government is preparing a round of deregulation laws to further deregulate and privatize the Narikatonese economy. While the LDP believes in true capitalism and is dedicated to giving enterprises as much freedom as possible the new government also thinks that the state has a vital role to play in this system. With the creation of a variety of so called "Nationale Ontwikkelingsfondsen (National Development Funds)" the LDP-PA government hopes to subsidize and encourage private enterpise based on innovation, efficiency and growth.

The different NDF's will include billions of DAR for culture, industry, agriculture, transport and many more sectors. The different Funds will reward funding based on the innovation of a company in terms of technology etc. based on efficiency meaning that when a company creates a lot of product with a efficient system and low price for example they will become elidgeble for a piece of the subsidy fund. The same goes for companies that keep growing and expanding.

With this new policy the government aims at creating a competitive economic environment where private individuals and companies will continue to innovate, grow and increase efficiency themselves or their companies which in term grows the Narikatonese economy.
The first part of the new economic plan is said to be proposed to the house in the coming months.

Are we headed for a minority government?
No sight on coalitions yet

September 4586

The elections for Federal Parliament didn't have a very surprising turnout. EFA lost its majority in Parliament at the cost of NNP. The coalition round promised to be challenging. At this stage, it seems there isn't much chance on a solid and reliable coalition. LR surprisingly proposed a minority government with only NNP in Cabinet.

It seems NNP chairman Hans Ername might be preparing to take office as Federal chancellor. Even though he isn't very keen on leading a minority government, he declared to be willing to take responsibility and would indeed accept the offer, for the nation's sake.
"The results of the elections were very favourable to us, yet we didn't manage to gain majority in any of the Bundesländer. The proposal of our colleagues of Linke Republikaner came as a surprise. We understand that we currently have 3 totally different parties represented in Parliament, each with its own ideas. We knew it would be hard to form a coalition. The sole reason we are willing to accept the offer is one out of democratic beliefs. As smallest fraction in Parliament, we will have to compromize with other parties. If other parties believe that NNP isn't performing well, the government can be called back and a new Cabinet can be formed, without the need for new elections. That is true democracy."
Ername also stated to be looking forward to working together with both of the other parties and will take office with dedication and full respect for the nation, the people and the President.

Bondskanselier Ername: "Looking forward to elections!"
Narik Nationalistische Partij has high hopes for the upcoming elections
December 12, 4589

Narik- NNP chairman and Bondskanselier Hans Ername claimed earlier today that he is looking forward to the elections next year. He has high hopes for his party, since he hopes the public will reward NNP for a successfull participation in Cabinet. Meanwhile, Ername realizes that his party wouldn't have achieved much without the support of both LR and EFA.

"We have done well during this legislation. There was a profound understanding between the three major parties in our Republic. Together we managed to arrange some legislative changes in order to ameliorate the lives of our citizens. For that I am proud."

Bondskanselier Ername referred to the other parties and the support he received from them several times. Yet he sees the upcoming elections as a sign where the public wants to head: "It was obvious that a coalition would have been difficult from the start, but now the public can reward the parties they feel are doing what is best for this nation. And it is my believe that every single party will have a completely other hand to play cards after next year's elections. I most certainly hope that the public will not forget what my party has done for our Republic."

Ername also declared that he still is candidate for the office of Bundeskanzler. In fact, NNP will hardly change the list. Candidate for the office of Bondspresident will remain Ludwig von Harstadten, while at NNP all realize that it will be hard to compete with President Blöcker.
Von Harstadten mentioned that his result was important to him, but that it does not necessarily reflect the success of the party: "We have some objectives for the upcoming elections that are far more relevant that my personal result. For instance: we would like to be the largest fraction in Narikaton, and maybe even Zeeland. But we want to be a party for every citizen, no matter their race, gender, believes or mother tongue. Therefore we have to gain some seat in Bundestag."
