Communists confront Police in Red Stad after two days of rioting

RED STAD was in chaos as communists battled the police in two days of violent rioting. One man, a 32 year-old Communist Party member, was shot by police as he attempted to charge them. He was taken to hospital but pronunced dead. The riots are part of anti-government protests that are calling for an end to privatisation legislation going through parliament, along with the governments refusal to rename Aran Beatha back to its traditional name of Kozaria.

The main groups involved in the organisation of the riots were the left-wing Kozarian nationalist group, the Kozarian Freedom Army, and the Communist Party's (illegal) paramilitary organisation, the People's Revolutionary Army.

Police released a statement saying everything was now under control, but nearly 200 protesters and 50 police have been injured in violent clashes. Right-wing paramilitaries were told not to take vigilante action, with fears rising about a return to the old days of the Democratic Republic when street fighting between left and right was a common occurence.

The LPD have proposed a new cabinet consisting of the LPD and Buidheann Saorsa. The Communists have already expressed their support, and are waiting from a reply by the Populists, who have been excluded.

The Liberty Party is now The Conservative Party

Nov. 3033- Davalo, Nihaton- After a full week of seminars and speeches, the 13th Annual Liberty Party Convention (LPC) has ended with a surprising announcement. Many of the delegates converged on Davalo wanting a face lift for the party's image, believing many people did not know what the part stood for. After much deliberation by committees formed over the past year and speeches in favor and against, the Party by a vote of 271-107 of the delegates present the LIberty PArty is now officially The Conservative Party of Darnussia or the Conservative Party. The opposition was lead by the Conservative Governor of Nihaton Max Silverman, who later said that he was not opposed to the name "Conservative" but rather the idea of changing the party's name. Governor Silverman also said that although he said he was not thrilled the measure passed, he, "will proudly say I am a Conservative!"

Other business that was handled at the convention was gearing up for the 2035 elections. Chairman Schechter said his biggest fear about the up coming elections is that the idea of party paramilitaries have been talked about as a legitimate idea. He went on to say, "The people who are the proponents of these extremist ideas clearly have absolute distain and disregard for our democracy and our people. Anyone who would risk civil unrest with such ease do not deserve even the smallest amount of power in this country. This is a message aimed directly at the far left elements in this country: If you do not appreciate this nation and it's people, leave and leave now!"

THE DARNUSSIAN GOVERNMENT are allegedly drawing up plans for a full scale invasion of Keymon. A leak from the ministry of defence shows massive military plans for an invasion and subsequent occupation of Keymon, aparantly due for mid 3035. The leaks have caused international outrage and condemnation, but the Darnussian government have yet to comment on the allegations.

In the leaked reports written by joint commitee of the CPD and the DNP, and the ministries of defence and foreign affairs, the government claims that Lusitanian and Narik nationalist terrorists are being sheltered, trained and armed by the government of Keymon, and it is a matter of national security to intervene.

This has sparked mass outrage, both internationally and domestically. The Grand Dutchy has appealed for international help, while massive anti-invasion protests have been sparked in Darnussia. The Darnussian goverment apparently are going to use emergency powers to bypass the Parliament, and invade Keymon directly via the Defence ministry.

The Conservative Party Condemns Keymon Invasion

May 3034- Merenbürg, Narikaton- The Conservative Party today has announced that the Executive Committee of the party has unanimously called for the Darnussian Government turn over all information about the Keymon situation to the heads of every party in Darnussia. They said that they were hesitant to condemn or condone the proposed invasion pending more information about the reasoning. What they did agree on is that the Darnussian National Party seems to be making this situation in an poorly-planned power grabbing attempt. They also agreed that the Executive Order pertaining to the vast expansion of the police powers was something that every citizen in Darnussia should be united against. Chairman Schechter added, "This just further exposes the far-left conspiracy, sadly lead by our nations leaders and controlling coalition, to undermine democracy in Darnussia and the values we all hold dear. I can promise the people of Darnussia this, whether you agree with what we support or not, we will continue to fight for you and your rights, no matter what the cost."

Dec 3035- Davalo, Nihaton- Today talking at a local community center, Chairman Schechter was asked a series of questions about the war against Keymon and their allies. Schechter said that although he did not know at first if the war was necessary, "As everyday goes by, it becomes more apparent that this war was necessary to secure our long term security." He also said that, "When I contemplate on this issue, Psalms 83:1-5,13-18 comes to mind, 'O God, do not remain silent; do not turn a deaf ear, do not stand aloof, O God. See how your enemies growl, how your foes rear their heads. With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish. “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation, so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.” With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you— Make them like tumbleweed, my God, like chaff before the wind. As fire consumes the forest or a flame sets the mountains ablaze, so pursue them with your tempest and terrify them with your storm. Cover their faces with shame, LORD, so that they will seek your name. May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; may they perish in disgrace. Let them know that you, whose name is the LORD—that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.'" Schechter said that he has sent correspondence to the leadership of Commonwealth of Beiteynu and Yishelem to accept Jewish refugees from not only Darnussia but all of the nations involved in the war. He said that he hopes that the lives of of troops, both Jewish and goy, are considered in all of the decisions of the warring nations leaders.

Hundreds of family or loved ones of those lost in the Merenburg attacks meet at parliament for a candlelight vigil for the dead.

Led by the Libertarian Socialist Party and the Green Shirts, hundreds gather in front of the temporary parliament in a vigil to those lost on account of the Darnussian - Keymonese war. Just outside of parliament, pictures and memorials from family members who have lost loved ones in the attacks as well as candlelight vigils every night are planned. The party chairman of the Libertarian Socialist Party has made a speech on the inaugural night of the vigil.

"Good people of Darnussia, we take tonight and every night until a peace is reached to have here an eternal vigil, a constant reminder of those we have lost in the horrific attacks on Merenburg. There is hardly a Darnussian who has not lost someone in this violent times, and I only hope this vigil, visible from our temporary parliament building will have us remember those who were lost and maybe bring peace all the faster. For two years now we have attempted every means possible to attempt to get the powerful groups that run the country to see the Human costs of their actions. I only hope that many of you here to not only mourn the loved ones who are gone, but to show that what happens has a concequence, and maybe they will see it when the faces of their victims look at them as they legislate more war, conscription, and further stripping of our liberties.

When I was told of the attacks, and that Anastasia was there, I couldn't breathe, and I didn't know if I would ever be able to have hope ever again. Seeing you all here I do know that while her memory stays with me every day of my life, maybe we can bring hope to Darnussia; hope that once again we will be at peace, the youth of our nation safe, our homes once again free from nightly attacks. It is an honour that I begin this memorial."

At the end of the speech, he pulled out of his pocket a picture of Anastasia Saft, his late wife who perished in the Merenburg attacks. Clearly very emotional from his facial expression, he placed the photo on the cement wall, sticking it on and touching the picture briefly. The wall was shortly after opened for anyone who has lost a loved one in this war be they soldiers or civilians, Darnussians, or Lusitanians to put the photos of their loved ones on the wall.

Darnussia has erupted in civil war over the new laws passed shortly after the election mandating a national religion as well as mandated prayer in school.
As of yet casualties are astonishingly high as the conflict of religion escalated into a war of civil liberties over a nation divided between authoritarian and libertarian values.

The strongholds of the Secularist movement have set up in the Kozaria province in the cities of Red Stad and Doressa.
