OOC Source: FFWPMoet: At the annual party conference of the SPA the party, having been in government for the past 3 years, has officially launched its electoral campaign. Party leader Stephan Klostermann who has let his party to its small but significant victory 3 years ago has remained as leader, leading his party into the next election. The party platform will remain largely the same, apart from some minor changes. The main focus of the party electoral campaign will however not be their own program but their accomplishment in recent years. The government has completed most of its goals, improving infrastructure, reforming the healthcare system and creating comprehensive economic reform. The SPA hopes that by emphasizing everything they have managed to do in government that they can convince voters that the SPA is there for them, ready to lead and "ready to fight for a humane, equall, hard workign society." The party has in recent years moved more to the left, rejecting several right leaning social proposals. It has succesfully managed to keep its government partner, the Reformfront, in check, making sure they dont perform radical action while in government. "It has been a carefull balance these last few years. But we as a party have proven that we can get things done in government without losing track of our ideals. And we will continue to do so if given the confidence of our voters!" Stated Klostermann.
The tense situation in Malivia could work in the governments favour as they are portraying themselves as stable leadership in daring times. The SPA will focus more on a online campaign this time around, posting advertisements and campaign videos accross the web in an effort to bind progressive and left wing voters to their cause. Gregory van der Waal, current 2 term president for the SPA, has announced he will run for a third term, saying that "if elected, i pledge it shall be my last term." It is unclear if other parties will support the President for his third attempt at winning the presidency.
