Arms Industry in the Rise
Following much effort by the National Government, the Arms Industry in the country has started to grow and expand throughout the country. The hope is that in the future, the country will depend less on foreign Arms Companies to supply our military.

The initial plan called for the government give tax breaks and incentives to these companies and for the government and the companies will work together on researching improvements to current models used by the Military.

Biodegradable Plastic Grows in Darnussia
With much effort from the country's parliament, Darnussia has greatly increased the production of biodegradable plastics. If the growth and improvements continue, it is expected that the country will the leading manufacturer of such plastics in Terra.

Relations with Malivia Improving
Following Malivia's suspension of the Claims Committee and dropping of her claims on her neighbours, relations have started to improve between the Confederacy and Malivia. All sanctions that had been imposed on Malivia have been dropped except the NSL which the President has stated is being kept in order to fight the Gau Raksha Paltan which has caused much damage in Hobrazia. As a show of goodwill to Malivia, the Confederacy is set to buy 10,000,000 DAR worth of Malivian Cow Dung to help alleviate the economic situation of the country. This cow dung is to be sold to Narik and Darnus fertiliser companies, which is hoped will boost the industry.

The President has attributed the dropping of the claims to economic situation in Malivia and of a partial success of the Lusitan talks. At the talks, the President has proposed the creation od an economic union between Malivia, Narikaton and Darnussia and Hobrazia.

Hopefully the union will boost all our economies, improve relation and decrease reasons for unity talks in the future.

Military Reform to be implemented
A huge reform of the Military is being planned by the current administration, with the goal of decreasing spending, whilst increasing the equipment of the Armed Forces. This is will be in steps and focusing on different branches at different times. The first branch will be the Navy which has been described as integral to the future and survival of the country.

Naval Reform Under Way

The aircraft carrier purchased 20 years ago has been incorporated into the new first fleet of the new Confederate Navy. It will named the Alfred after the first monarch of the Von Fritz family and founder of Fritzism and the Fritzite League. While the carrier is relatively small and will only serve a small mobile airfield for 20 planes and 6 helicopters.
Also part of the new reform and modernisation, two national ship building companies have been given contracts for new ship models for the navy. Narik Shipping Company will manufacture 8 of the new Lowe class patrol frigates (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albanian_ ... sel_Iliria), 2 Haai class minesweepers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingston- ... nce_vessel), 6 tankers support ships (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_J._ ... ment_oiler) and 9 C856 Corvettes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bung_Tomo-class_corvette). This contract is set to 200 million DAR and take 6 years to complete.
Schmitt Ship Manufactures has also been offered a contract including 2 Focher Landing Docks (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foudre-cl ... tform_dock), 12 Kasteel Corvettes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%27Estie ... lass_aviso), 20 Wolf Class Frigates ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lupo-class_frigate) and 6 Moete Anti-Submarine Frigates (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allende-class_frigate), set to cost 435 million DAR.

The new Coast Guard has been organised and is in it's final stages of recruitment. The organisation is to made up of 18,000 active members and 10,000 reservists. The new recruits will have to conduct 2 years of training in 3 main areas, Maritime Safety, Maritime Security, Maritime Stewardship. Heavy emphasis will be placed on patrolling national waters, search and rescue, environmental protection and aids in navigation to foreign vessels.

Referendum on Official State Religion
Today a referendum on whether the state should have an official state religion is being held throughout the country. This was part of the Fritzite League's campaign promise to hold such referendum in the last election.
The referendum contains two questions,
1) Do you believe that the Confederacy should have an official state religion?
Yes or No
2) If you answered yes to the question above, which religion should that be?
- The Aurorian Patriarchal Church
- The Luthoran Church
- Hosianism(all denominations)
- Other, write the name of religion below.

Whilst announcing the referendum, President Alexander Von Fritz II, was asked if the official religion would be enforced on everybody and whether it could affect certain religious groups.
Answer,

To answer the first part of the question, no. No one will be forced to convert to the official religion. In this country, all religions and creeds are accepted and respected. To answer the second part, again no. There laws in this country which forbid discrimination based on religion. This referendum will simply be to see what people want.
