4943 Election Results
To absolutely nobodies surprise, the DFL won on the Confederal, winning all 735 seats as no party decided to run for the Confederal level. Under the Chancellor Markus Hollenheim, the DFL has promised to improve the economy and infrastructure around the Confederacy. Meanwhile on the National Level, the DFL won the most seats in Darnussia and came second in Narikaton. However the party is part of the coalition governments in both countries. In Darnussia the coalition is made up of the DFL, the Darnussian Liberal League and the People Before Profit of Darnussia. In Narikaton the Coalition members are the Socialist Party of Narikaton, the Narik Social Democrats and the DFL.

Renovation and Expansion of the Iron Estate
The Confederate Governmental complex known as the Iron Estate is set to face renovations and a huge expansion. The complex houses the Confederate Congress, all security related ministries and the office of the Chancellor. This comes after small cracks started to appear in the ceiling of many offices in the right wing of the main building. Fearing a possible collapse in the right wing, Chancellor Markus Hollenheim ordered for a renovation of the complex. Three companies applied for the contract with Bauer Construction Co. winning the contract.

The complex once the expansion and renovation has been completed, the complex shall have three buildings set in a rough triangle. The new buildings have been designed in a U-shape facing the middle of the complex. The largest building will be built on the west side and will have a magnificent view of the Doressa's harbour. This building is set to hold the Confederate Congress along with the offices for all Congressmembers in the north wing and the south wing will house the Chancellor's offices along with meeting rooms and offices. On the south side will the second largest building which will hold the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs, Justice and Defense. The smallest building to the north will house the Ministries of Health and Social Services, Science and Technology and Education and Culture.

A smaller complex is being built across the river Cerrot, dubbed the "Ec-Com" or Economic Complex. The small complex will be made up of three buildings. These buildings will house the Ministries of Finance, Infrastructure and Transport, Food and Agriculture, Environment and Tourism and Trade and Industry. The reasoning these Ministries are being held together was explained by Chancellor Hollenheim,

These Ministries are responsible for much of the economic policy of the Confederate Government and I believe that they should be close together to allow for easy communication and cooperation as many of their respective areas overlap in certain issues. Thank You.

Pedestrianisation of Downtown Doressa
As part of the Confederate Governments plan to decrease carbon emissions in Doressa, construction has begun on the pedestrianisation of the city's downtown area. With the exception of some roads connecting to the seaside promenades all roads in the city's downtown will be torn up and turning into pedestrian roads with shops and business lining the streets. Much greenery is also planned to be added to these streets. It is also hoped that this will also increase tourism to the city and boost the local economy. All bridges across the river Cerrot in the downtown area will also be pedestrianised.

To allow for easy access to the rest of the city, bus lanes are being planned to connect all parts of the city and an underground electric metro has also started construction. For those coming into the city, a train line will run straight to the city center to a new train station on Drachenstraße. With all this new infrastructure, the people living in the downtown of the city will still be able to leave and travel without having to walk. For those wishing to use cars outside the city or traveled to the city by car, a carpark is being built outside the downtown which will allow these people to park there cars for a small fee of 10 DAR everyday.

Doressa Docks to be Expanded
As well as the planned pedestrianisation of Downtown Doressa, the city's docks are also set to be expanded and improved. When this was announced by the Mayor of Doressa, Natalie Hulst said,

For the past decades the port of Doressa has be inadequate for the needs of this city and this country. It is time the port was expanded and improved.

The port of Doressa authority has welcomed this move adding they have been asking for this years now. The project will expand the cruise ship terminal on the north side of the city to allow for more tourists to arrive in the city by boat. Also on the north a new ferry terminal is to be built. This be for the new ferry lines connecting Doressa to many other cities throughout the Confederacy.

On the south side of the city, a huge expansion of the cargo ship facilities and warehouses has begun. This will expand the ports import and export capacity massively and help continue Darnussia's economy as Darnussia's economy is still very export focused. A train connection is also being planned to allow for further ease of transport to and from the port.

It was a big day at the capital today as a new Government swept across the country! The new party is called "De Voorzijde" or The Front. The party identifies with centrism and a desire to keep a republic in Narikaton and Darnussia. The Party is lead by 67 year old veteran politician Wim Brummelenbos. He started life as a Liberal aligned MP from Gotlandson. However he has become centrist as time has gone on. We got a sneak peak of his new government as he addressed the nation.

Today is a new age for the Confederation. The old is gone and the new is here right before you. We will work as hard as we can to strengthen this country. We have needed true leadership for a long time now and this is the perfect time for changes to be made! I will fight to make allies throughout the region and restore greatness to this country. Doressa: The Confederate government has, after decades of leaving the issue, publicly recognized the Hovian people as a "native ethnic group, originating from Narikaton and Darnussia and deserving equall recognition with other native ethnicities, the Nariks and Darnussians." Chancellor Albert Aarnwoud, a Narik himself, made the announcement during a specially called news conference together with the leaders from both the State of Narikaton and Darnussian Republic. The announcement was one met with open arms by Hovians, which has been a growing minority in northern parts of Darnussia for over a century right now. Modern day Hovians appeared around the year 4186 according to historians, with the first people to develop the language spoken today and the customs/traditions they have developed overtime. Their language, Hovian, is a mix of the Dundorfian language and Narik language, being very similar to both but with its own unique dialect. Most Hovians started living in the northern coastel regions of Darnussia, slowly spreading themselves more land inwards where they steadily grew. Over 97% of Hovians live in the Northwestern territory of Darnussia with the ethnic group accounting for a estimated 6% of the Narik-Darnussian population as of the latest census. However, estimates by several institutions suggest that the quick birthrate in the regions Hovians live and a continued stagnation of Darnussian growthrates might increase the share of Hovians in North-west Darnussia and ND as a whole, meaning that in 15 years time the share of Hovians in the population might grow to between 11 and 15%, making them one of the largest ethnic groups besides Nariks and Darnussians.

Intergration between Darnussians and Nariks have thus, in the last century or so, let to the development of a new distinct ethnic group, a symbol of the newly found peace and relative unity of the two countries. Chancellor Aarnwoud himself was elected on a promise of renewal, stating in his election speeches that the Narik-Darnussian people have always been at odds with one another but have in the last decades shown they need one another. His party, the VNU, openly advocated for a new constitution and greater intergration between the Islands and mainland with both Narik and Darnussian leaders seeming sympathetic to the idea after centuries of living apart. Now, with a newly emerged and growing ethnic group it seems that change is not only desired, it is also all the more needed as Narikaton and Darnussia slowly change towards a new future.

Doressa: As promised by the party upon their election the VNU government has, together with the leaders of the now former State of Narikaton and Darnussian Republic, has announced the creation of the new Federal Democratic Republic of Narikaton and Darnussia and the adoption of a new constitution. The announcement, named the Moet-Doressa declaration, will adopt a new constitution for the Artanian nation of which its history has been plagued by ethnic conflict. This new constitution will create a Ethno-Federal parliamentary republic in which three ethnic regions will be formed, the Region of Narikaton, Region of Darnussia and the Region of Hovia. All based around ethnic lines with the Region of Narikaton for the Nariks, the Region of Darnussia for the Darnussians and the Region of Hovia for the Hovians, which were recently recognized as a native ethnicity by national and confederate government. This new system will furthermore give the federal government more power, while allowing the regions to maintain their own authority for creating democratic government, police and judicial institutions and draft their own domestic legislation. The federal government can now also enacts legislation for the entire nation, but the regions may decide not to enforce such laws if they desire to do so. The regions, as they are based on ethnicities, will also be able to declare independence if 2/3rd of their institutions vote in favour.

This nation, which now really will become a unified entity, has survived the worse of conflict. Civil war and suffering have been at the forefront of our history. But today we stand at a crossroads, today we will propell our people forward and bring further unity to our nation. The Federal Democratic Republic is born.

People from the entirety of Narikaton and Darnussia celebrated the news on the street, with far reaching administrative reforms now underway to create a smooth transition to this new government. Some protests of far-right Darnussian and Narik groups were reported, aimed at protesting further intergration, but these were small in scale and are being monitored by the Security Districts according to their spokesman.

New Party in the Federal Republic
After it's dissolution in 4991, the Fritzite League has been re-established and rebranded the Fritzite Party. The new party leader is Otto von Fritz a member of the old political dynasty von Fritz which held power or influenced politics bewteen the years of 4827 and 4991. The new which adheres to the ideology of Fritzism has also adopted some new polices and ideals. The party seeks to bring the old Confederacy which was replaced with an ethnorepublic and the current Federal Republic with some calling for a confederate constitutional monarchy with Otto as king. Whilst Otto is a monarchist, he has stated that he will not become king should this be against the will of the people of Narikaton and Darnussia. The party has announced it will run in the 5203 elections.

The DFP Wins a Landslide Victory
After many months of campaigning hard throughout the Republic, the Fritzite Partei has become the sole party in Federal Assembly of Narikaton and Darnussia winning 648 seats in the 650 seat assembly with the last two seats being won by independent politicians that have agreed to work with the Fritzites. Once a cabinet has been formed, Abe Reinders, the party's Vice-President has confirmed that a transition back to the confederate system will begin.

Otto von Fritz stood opposed in the race for President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Narikaton and Darnussia. His first speech as President highlighted goals and aims of his party over the next few years and the need to move forward. He again clarified he will not be declaring himself King, at least not before the next election.

Queen Yrnmutai visits Narikaton and Darnussia in her Artanian tour

Queen Yrnmutai of Vanuku Visits the Country
The new queen of Vanuku, Queen Yrnmutai recently visited the Federal Republic as part of her tour of Artania where she visited the Kingdom of Dorvik, the Kundrati Union and then Narikaton and Darnussia. She was accompanied by her trade minister, Mr Azi Genzi only as her foreign minister returned to Vaniku. The Queen first met with President Otto von Fritz, as well as Chancellor Elma Hasseldorf in the presidential palace in the capital Merneburg. The three discussed a whole range of issues on the first day of arrival, followed by with a state dinner. For her he second day of the visit the Queen visited the heads of the Narik government and the Darnussian government. The Queen also met with several representatives of the two governments, being given a small tour of both the Narik capital of Moet and the Darnussian capital of Doressa as well. She was met by big crowds of people wishing to see the monarch for themselves. Following these visits, trade minister Genzi took over the talks from the Queen and continued discussions with the federal government which resulted in yet another economic deal being formalized. A free trade agreement between the Fedreral Republic and Vanuku in which the Vanukean oil and gas, automobile and defense sectors are excluded as well as the three important sectors to our economy fishing, defense sector and ship manufacturing. Furthermore while tarrifs and regulations are to be largely removed, periodic control on goods will still be allowed by the border agencies of both countries to combat criminals and ensure the proper quality of goods. This is likely to be the most lucrative deal for Vanuku during its Artanian Tour and thus ensures a major success of this diplomatic endeavour by the Queen and her government. Shortly after the visit the Vanukean delegation stepped on its plane to return to Vanuku.
