Referendum on Official State Religion Results
Following the referendum three days ago, on the question of an official state religion, the results are in.
Answers to the first question which asked, Do you believe that the Confederacy should have an official state religion?
People answered, 23% no, 77% yes.
Answers to the second question which asked, If you answered yes to the question above, which religion should that be?
- The Aurorian Patriarchal Church 12%
- The Luthoran Church 17%
- Hosianism(all denominations) 68%
- Other, write the name of religion below 3%

It is clear that most people have chosen to go with an official state religion, which will be Hosianism.

New Economic Growth
Following many acts passed by the Confederal Congress such as the Regulation of Stock Exchanges Act(http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=644709), the Arms Industry Act(http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=644641) and the Monopolies Act(http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=644692) which have granted Narik and Darnus companies more freedoms to operate and compete with each. Since the passing of these acts many sectors have start to experience significant growth.

The Arms Industry has already grown by 3% with big companies in the sector such as Janssen und Koch and Mauser already announcing the expansion of their factories and even the building of new ones throughout both countries. They claim that this will add 20'000 jobs and boost arms production. The Schmitt Ship Manufactures company has also started expanding their dockyards in the city of Narik. This will to meet the new contracts for the modernisation of the navy.


Meanwhile the stocks of several companies such as GoMicro, Spott, Volksautos and Schmitt Corporation have risen in the last few days. This according to many economists could lead further economic growth and that the Confederacy could be about to experience a boom.

Hosianism Official State Religion
As per the will of the people, Hosianism has now become the official state religion of the Confederate Government. President Alexander Von Fritz along with most of the Cabinet attended a special mass celebrating the event followed by thousands in several cities across the Confederacy. A notable exception was Minister for Environment and Tourism, Sam Bessewitz who is a firm Luthoran Church follower and believes that this move could harm relations with none Hosian majority countries around Terra.

Narikaton and Darnussia were each given the option to also make this move, which was approved in Narikaton. However Darnussia decided not to have a state religion, claiming it could divide the people amongst religious lines.

Neutrality Act Passes
The Neutrality Act was passed in November, signing into law the Confederacy's neutrality in geopolitics and other political matters. When speaking about the Act Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jo Po Von Fritz stated,

This government is committed to pursuing human rights, diplomacy and peace throughout Terra. Many of us, especially myself felt that this could not and would be accomplished if we weren't seen worldwide as neutral and unbiased country in geopolitics. Therefore we proposed and passed this Neutrality Act and I strongly implore all Terran countries respect and support our neutrality, regardless of differences.

Whilst the Confederacy pledges to renounce war, it will retain an army and will defend itself if necessary. The current reforms planned will continue, with the airforce expected to be next.

Navy Reform Near Completion
The naval reform and modernisation program is well under way, with most new recruits being trained and the coast guard now fully operational and only waiting on contracts for small arms said to be finished next year. Most of the ships ordered for the Guard have been completed and delivered such as the Legende(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legend-class_cutter) and HT-9(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USCG_seagoing_buoy_tender) class cutters as well as Insel(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Island-class_patrol_boat) class patrol ships.

Neutrality Put to the Test
Despite being a neutral country, the Confederacy has become one of the most vocal opponents of the current apartheid regime in Hulstria and Gao-Soto. The new imperial regime has put in place a system of segregation on the Hulstrian minority and has promoted a pro-Kunihito policy. It has also instituted slavery and legalised the slave trade inside the country. As a signatory of the International Rejection of Slavery Agreement, this is simply unacceptable. As of now, the representative of the Confederacy in the General Assembly of the World Congress, Beatrix Bos has called out the regime and is calling for international action on the matter. Back home, sanctions are being discussed by the Government and the Confederate Congress and as preemptive show of how serious this matter is being taken, the imperial ambassador has been expelled and ours recalled.

This crisis is being seen by many at home and abroad as a test to the Confederacy's new neutrality policy. When asked about how this would be approached, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jo Po Von Fritz answered,

If other countries wish to see our neutrality as a weakness, this crisis will prove them wrong. I will make sure that our voice and those of the Hulstrians are heard in the GA and a diplomatic solution will be achieved. War will benefit no one and isn't anyone's goal./quote]

Economy Continues to Grow
The recent economic growth has continued despite many experts saying it wouldn't last long. The Arms Industry continues to grow with many new contracts for the military as well as others. Construction has also experienced a huge growth thanks to new military based being built and from the many new infrastructure projects being undertaken in the two countries such as renovating many highways and motorways around the country of Darnussia. Meanwhile in Narikaton many of the inner city decay is being torn down and rebuilt to meet new standards. The services has also seen an increase in recent times, with many small tech companies appearing as well as new taxi companies. The only sector seemingly not seeing any growth is the agricultural sector which has actually decreased, due to cheaper products coming from abroad. However this is to be rectified as a new agricultural reform is currently being voted upon on Congress. It will give much more control to the national governments on how to craft their agricultural policy free from Confederal oversight. It is hoped this will mean each policy will meet the needs of the farmers of the respective country.

New Submarines Purchased
As part of the modernisation of the navy, 10 Type 209 submarines have been planned to be built in the dockyards of Schmitt Ship Manufacturers a local company in conjunction with Aloria. These 10 submarines will be part of two taskforces which will serve to patrol the waters of the Confederacy and other operations. The Type 209 is reliable Alorian model which is hoped will serve the Confederacy's needs perfectly.

The construction will take place in SSA's dockyards in the city of Narik. This project is set to cost 20million DAR and take 2 and a half years to complete. The crews expected to operate these submarines are already undergoing training on how to operate the machines.

Marine Corps Recruiting
The new Marine Corps has started recruiting. As part of the new naval reform, a new Marine Corps has been set up. It will act a special branch of the navy. It serve to conduct sea to land combat and sea combat such as landings and boardings of vessels. The Corps has asked for 30,000 men and women to volunteer and join the Corps. The training will cut this number to 15,000 marines, 10,000 will be active and 5,000 reservists.

Further Economic Deregulation
More acts are being passed by the Confederate Congress in order to further deregulate the economy. The claims made by many Congressmen and Women is that growth will continue to increase hugely and provide many jobs to people all over the Confederacy. However some experts have called for caution as too much deregulation could cause the economy to get out of control and crash if the Confederacy isn't careful.


As well as all these new acts, many companies have continued to expand. Schmitt Ship Manufactures has began construction on a huge expansion on it's shipbuilding yards near the city of Narik(Narikaton) and is planning to build a second set of dockyards near the city of Brejan. Meanwhile Narik Ferry Co has purchased several new ferries set to operate a new line between the towns of Tiel(Narikaton) and Dav(Nihaton). This new line will increase travel and create many new jobs. Over in Darnussia, the construction sector has seen huge growth with Heitkamp Ingenieur and Bauer Construction Co. seeing the biggest growth. Volksautos has also started construction of two new automobile construction plants in the city of Kraw.

DFL Electoral Campaign
Elections are set to occur in a couple of months in April 4943. The Fritzite League has revealed it's campaign promises for this election. The main promises made include Improving the Economic Situation further, Continue the Policy of Neutrality and Human Rights as well as a new infrastructure project. As of now there appears to be no competition to the DFL on the Confederal Level, meaning another 7 years of DFL control of Congress.

However on the National Level, things are much more complicated. In Narikaton the vote seems to be split between 3 major parties and 2 minor parties. The 3 major parties are the Narik Social Democrats, the Narik National League and the Narik Fritzite League. The Narik Social Democrats are running on a platform of economic regulation, government run healthcare and the creation of a welfare state. The Narik National League is running on a platform of pro-narik policies, isolationism and ending immigration. The Narik Fritzite League is running on a platform of free market economics, limit government welfare and infrastructure projects. The two minor parties are the Socialist Party of Narikaton and the Narik Independence Party. The Socialist's platform includes 100% renewable energy production, nationalise important sectors of the economy and a creation of a welfare state. The Independence Party is running on the promise of an independence referendum, expel all none nariks.

In Darnussia, there many major and minor parties running in the elections. The parties are Darnussian Communist Party, Darnussian Liberal League, People Before Profit of Darnussia, Darnus National Party, Green Party of Darnussia, Darnussian Conservative Party and The Darnussian Fritzite League. The four major parties are the Darnussian Liberal League, the Green Party of Darnussia, the Darnussian Conservative Party and the Darnussian Fritzite League. The minor parties are the Darnussian Communist Party, People Before Profit of Darnussia and Darnus National Party. The new People Before Profit of Darnussia party is calling for the end of chasing profits by large companies and the transform all companies into worker led corporate councils. The Liberals' platform includes economic regulation, more civil liberties and open borders to immigrants. The Greens are running on a platform of a socialist economy and 100% renewable energy generation. The Fritzites same as in Narikaton plus more renewable energy. The Communists want to form a communist republic in Darnussia, the Darnus National Party is running on conservative policies socially and economically.
