While the two nations share some history and cultural-ethnic ties, the diplomacy between the two has been on the colder side of the spectrum. With the "Dundorf - N&D Agreement on Mining Expertise Exchange" the two nations agreed to seek economic ties by primarily exchanging scientific personel between the large mining cooperations of each nation. Both Dundorf and Narikaton and Darnussia have large mining sectors, which in the dual-republics case has been revived relatively recently during the presidency of Ulrich Gerber, this agreement follows the outcry of the dual-republican mining giant "Minenhandwerks AG" for the government to look for expansion opportunities. Political experts have been surprised by rather sudden announcement and are excited to see the future of Dundorfian-N&D relations.

In an usual turn of events, the dual-republican train manufacturer Küstenschmiede has announced that it won a contract from the Baltusian Transport Agency for the purchase of 34 of its trains for a total sum of 340 Million DAR. Which marks this deal as the largest single transaction in the history of the train industry in Narikaton & Darnussia. VVP wins 5439 election; Great-Coalition approved by population

While many appeared sceptic at the prospects of a VVP-VAP coalition, the numbers speak for themselves. Ferdinand Kanzlei and his party have managed to win exactly 50% of the seats in parliament by gaining four from their junior partner, the social-democratic VAP which still managed to come in second with the PTP maintaining their position as the smallest faction but only by one seat. Franziska Venzl, also by now ancient VVP apparatschik, won the presidential ticket. Political experts attribute the conservative victory to their renewed right-wing profile and economic boom when others have not. When asked what strengths the voters saw in the electioneering parties in a survey shortly before the election, many described the VVP as economically competent and stably steering the dual-republic in a secure future.

Bill proposed to ratify Friendship treaty with Selucia

In a rather surprising move, the VVP-led foreign ministry drafted a friendship and economic cooperation treaty in accordance with the government of the republic of Selucia. While these two have not had any relevant partnership in the future, they seem to be like minded in political thought and the goverments seem to have a friendly spirit towards each other. Geopolitical commentators suspect this move comes as a dual-republican power play in foreign affairs to symbolize a reaching out to majatran powers, to offer them a respectful partnership on equal terms with an artanian trade republic. It is also rumored that this treaty is only a base-framework for future cooperation, alledgedly the foreign ministries have already debated an intermingling of mining industries. The mining giant "Minenhandwerks GmbH" has yet to make any comments regarding the speculations but with their expansionist stance as of late, it would not be surprising, Selucia has valuable silicon and nickel reserves which would not only benefit the company itself by selling the natural ressources, it would also give the up-and-coming manufacturing industry of the dual-republic easy access to these minerals.

Defence Ministry announces Himmelshtern naval presence

In a short but pointed press statement of the ministry of defence, to be exact, the naval command, the officials announced the movement of three corvettes into the port of himmelshtern as part of the dual-republic's involvement in JAMS. The ships are going to be re-structured into a seperate command entity out of its original post in the "Heimatküstenregion Flotte (Homecoastregion Fleet)." This move does not surprise anyone, it was just a question of time when the Navy of Narikaton & Darnussia was going to exert presence in their new defensive coordination organization. Some even go as far as to say that the dual-republic was rather slow in its ship movement, the same people argue that there are rumors about a potential military modernization brewing in Bannerhafen.

N&D Mining expands into malivian market

With the recent passage of a bill confirming the ratification of the dual-republic of the Malivian Diplomatic treaty, the mining titan Minenhandwerks GmbH obtained the green light to expand into the growing malivian market with their reserves of gold. Other resources were also in discussion, at least according to rumors, but there were not any agreements until now. This economic cooperation deal followed similar agreements brokered in the last years with both Dundorf and Selucia expressing the almost aggressive stance of the VVP led government to grow the business opportunities of its industries. The fruits of Ferdinand Kanzlei's labor have already started to show in the newest release of the Vandam economic report listing Narikaton & Darnussia as the worlds eleventh largest economy and the employment numbers reaching all time highs.
