Ernst Krahl, a former professor, has founded the National Reform Party. Before his political career Krahl was a major critic of the monarchy. Now, Krahl and his new party advocate for the abolishment of the monarchy and the establishment of a republic. Although, Krahl wants to abolish the monarchy he labels himself as a patriot and nationalist. Officially, NRP is a centrist party that believes in the abolishment of the monarchy, capitalism, civic nationalism, and equality.

Orthodox Coalition has no program

The three-way coalition formed by the NVP, MMP and FAUST has yet to send any bills or reform packages to the legislation for approval. After Dr. Christian Haider backstabbed, as political critics put it, the Justice Party he was widely criticised by the former leader of the Peoples Party Karl Friedrich zu Oderveldau. Not only that but the reactionary wing of the party which is very loyal towards Oderveldau has not been very cooperative leading the government to be stagnant while a majority of the population continues not to vote as well as the divide between rich and poor widening incredibly. Neither FAUST nor Justice have made any real progress in regards to the economic social justice. On the other hand the clientel of the People's Party is still more than content even though the most recent election result showed many non-voters rather swaying to liberal parties.

Dennis von Thaller criticizes his coalition partners

In a speech Dennis von Thaller held yesterday he stated that he found the work in the current government frustrating. He was especially concerned about the coalition's stance on the economy.
While I am sure that there is a great connection between all parties of this coalition there are some elements in the NVP and the MMP that hinder productive work. People who seem to reject any form of change. And while we endorse conservatism in certain parts of life we cannot endorse this arrogant, unreflected and naive reactionism. Frankly I would even call this attitude decadent. [...] Take the worker council question for example. These "protectors of the free market" denied the workers of Narikaton a natural right without even providing us any information about the reasons behind their decision. We will no longer tolerate this behavior. We need to be ready for reforms. Reforms that will be done by the parties that helped creating this nation we live in now and not by so called Reform Parties who only wish to destroy our way of life.

Rally in opposition to the Counter Anti-Thallerism Act
Ernst Krahl leads a rally in opposition to the Counter Anti-Thallerism Act. During the rally he held a speech.
Once again the authoritarian Thaller family tries to suppress our freedom. They try to silence all opposition ruthlessly. The longer they stay in power the more of our freedoms that will be lost. The Thallers are stuck in the past where monarchs rule over all classes. They reject modern ideals like republicanism. Enough is enough next election we must fight against the Thallers by voting for reform, by voting for the National Reform Party! Do your duty as a citizen and remove the Thallers! Down with the monarchy!

Time for Reform

After an unreasonably amount of time the NVP together with its government partners started working on reforms to work against certain issues. Surprisingly the NVP agreed to Aye an economic proposal of FAUST. Even though they critics may have swayed Reichskanzler Haider to push through some bills the household peace in the coalition wasnt as good as prior, especially two Agenda bills of FAUST were too liberal for the NVPs taste. Some non-ideological critics said that there are rumors about the coalition not holding out until the next election.

Reichskanzler comments on Krahl

"I think that Mr. Krahls response to the investigation being voted on was worrying. If his party does not have anything to hide he should not have a problem cooperating with the authorities. I'd also like to give him a little lecture about how our country works: the family does not have anything to do with the actions we've set in regards to your party, this was alone the work of our party as well as the government. So I'd like you to apologize to the crown publicly and instead verbally attack the NVP you excuse of a patriot."

Krahl comments on Reichskanzler’s response
I will not apologize for anything I said. I stand by my words. I’m sure the Thallers had something to do with NVP’s proposal. Also, if the elected parties vote for the bill I will comply with it and work with the authorities. However, I will vehemently fight the bill unless it passes as I see it as undemocratic.

Haider sacked as Candidate

In an surprising turn of events the incumbent Reichskanzler Dr. Christian Haider has been sacked on the party assembly in which they started the election campaign. He's going to be replaced with the Liberal-Thallerist and constitutional reform advocating Freiherr Tristan Wenninger. Nobody expected him to be sacked after only a first term as Chancellor. It seems like his course has angered a lot of party members.

A big surprise at the FAUST leadership elections

After Dennis von Thaller failed to defend his leadership because of a party approval rating below 50% FAUST had to make a choice between two candidates. Lena von Thaller, member of the social liberal wing of FAUST and pretender to the throne and Desiderius Siebenstein, a member of the patriotic socialist wing. Surprisingly enough Siebenstein won the election and is therefore FAUST's new leader and chancellor candidate. While FAUST is a minor party right now experts fear that the victory of an infamous person like Siebenstein might have deep impacts on the future political landscape of Narikaton considering that FAUST has good chances to gain more votes in the next elections. Siebenstein is know for racist tendencies and especially for his anti-Luthorian cmments during speeches. With him in an influential position Narik-Luthorian relations would probably deteriorate dramatically.

NVP Historic Defeat

The general elections of 4474 have, to say the least, not been great for the Narik People's Party as they have been overtaken by FAUST and the MMP. Even more punished by their lack of respsonsibility were the Justice Party, they came in last of the parties that managed to meet the threshold. The reformists have not been able to get into the Reichstag. After the election the NVP called in an emergency assembly and fired Freiherr Tristan Wenninger from his Job and temporarily inserted Friedrich Schickelgruber as Klubobmann. They've announced that they will have a leadership election very soon.

Investigation of the Assasination attempt

The ATAIB have reported that their investigation have lead them to believe that a foreign power that can not be specified at the moment very likely supports the terrorists fiscally. No other statements have been given, political experts say that this might reignite the historic narik hatred of other nations.
