Foreign Minister Jan Feldbach, while still trying to follow administration policy by being careful when it comes to statements regarding foreign affairs, said that the losers in this war would be the people of Ikradon and that he like all the other members of the government are deeply saddened by the cruelty and violence on our continent.

Trade Union Leaders partially acquitted

Bannerhafen, December 5409: After their very public arrest, two of the three leaders of the biggest trade unions in Narikaton and Darnussia have been cleared of charges and released. One of the leaders was in fact convicted of obstruction of justice and faces 30 days in house arrested. Union press releases warn about increasing authoritarianism and the necessity of defending the rights of the working man against the "exploitative" capitalist policies which are passed in parliament. Minister of Justice von Lillienfeld visibly disappointed stated that "the courts have to be reformed, there clearly are socialist networks deceptively undermining the justice system." This statement left experts puzzled as per recent reforms, judges are appointed by the ministry of justice.

Further Deregulatory measures provoke socialists

Bannerhafen, June 5410: As the final debates about the new deregulation measures end, socialists and trade unionists already angered by prior liberalization of the markets look in horror at the dumping of the minimum wage as well as the end of affirmative action in Narikaton & Darnussia. Conservative Regime strengthens grip on Courts

Bannerhafen, August 5410: While crackdowns on trade unionists are happening around the republic, the VVP dominated Nationalrat continues to consolidate power in the hands of their government.
In their newest proposed bill they restrict court-appeals. Which in combination with laws that are already in effect such as the Ministry of Justice being responsible for appointing judges means that the Justice system has been completely politicized.
After some public outcry on social media and in independent media Präsident Ulrich Gerber made a statement. "Citizens of Narikaton and Darnussia, I have heard you. But trust me, your beloved president, the courts are safe, the country is safe, the republic is safe, your families are safe."

Narik & Darnussian Navy on high alert

Flash news: Independent sources and social media sightings from the coast indicate increased naval movements and marine troop relocations. Military experts suspect the ever more heated situation between the greater powers surrounding the republic to be the reason. Apparently patrols and reconnaissance maneuvers in the sovereign waters of the republic have increased to almost maximum capacity.
