Dundorf Mobilizes for War

June 3123
Edition 5

As the situation between the Ikradonese and the Dundorfian government worsens along with the relations with Rutania, Dundorf is at the brink of a two front war of which its leaders report "Dundorf is fully capable of such action and is ready to even launch an offensive nuclear and military intervention in both countries as they threaten Dundorf's security." The countries military leadership and Reichslenker have issued a Militärische Bereitschaft 1 warning to all military outposts and missile shields located on the borders of Ikradon and Rutania.

"We are fully prepared for a full-scale war and to eliminate the sub-human people's of Ikradon and Rutania and to repopulate them with the supreme and better peoples of Dundorf and Dundorfian race." Mentioned Frederick von Schneider, the Reich's Reichslenker.

SAP-D Refounded

Image

Much fanfare was apparent in Chonstaat as the Sozialistische Arbeiterpartei Dundorf (SAP-D) was refounded on the grounds of its old headquarters. It was in general a political rally, with speeches and slogans coloring the event. The main speech of the event was brought by new SAP-D leader Ralf Braun, strongly criticizing the racist and expansionist tendencies of the ruling NsB.

"The Reichslenker is a sham, a puppet of the NsB. Dundorf is now under the control of a corrupt ruler backed by a corrupt party, determined to undermine the spirit of democratic solidarity between all the peoples of Dundorf. The SAP-D was first founded in the times of the DDR, back when the government truly represented the age old Dundorfian motto 'Peace, Freedom and Solidarity'. Now let us bring back that age again. An age of peace, freedom and solidarity. Es lebe sozialismus! Es lebe solidaritat!"

SAP-D Public Relations officer Alexander Eisenhauer has given an official statement to the press on the nature of the SAP-D's refounding. "The SAP-D is here as an alternative to Dundorfians tired with the Reichslenker and the NsB" said Eisenhauer. "The Dundorfian people have been without a choice for too long." When asked by reporters on the possibility of a coalition government with the RSP, Eisenhauer merely replied "That is a possibility we are looking into."

The SAP-D was first founded nearly 700 years ago during the DDR period where socialist parties flourished. It's leadership fluctuated during its years in activity, whilst it did suffer temporary disbandment when much of its cadres travelled to Keris in order to support the fledgling KCCP revolution. Though it is still not possible to predict whether or not the presence of the SAP-D can truly impact the NsB's hold on power, the SAP-D will definitely bring more color to Dundorfian politics.

Neues Dundorf
Kommunistische Partei Dundorf founded.

Neues Dundorf AP - The announcement rang with an eerie ease in the Neues Dundorf alert room, the Kommunistische Partei Dundorf had been founded by Wolfus Sigismund and Wilhelm Kessler. Wilhelm Kessler, the founder of the party and the candidate for the Republikpräsident was quoted as saying: "Dundorf has fallen into a liberal comma, the parties of the people attempt to stem the tide of the corrupt, capitalist and liberal agenda but cannot hold them back. We will return the Dundorf Democratic Republic, we will return socialism and peace to the lives of the Volksdundorfischer around Terra!" General Secretary Kessler can be seen as nothing less than a truly idealistic man who has the right head on his shoulders to complete the job. Fanatical and intelligent, a dangerous combination.

Neues Dundorf
Kommunistische Partei Dundorf wins big.

Neues Dundorf AP - Wilhelm Kessler and Wolfus Sigismund were seeing celebrating their victory in at the KPD national headquarters last night. In impressive fashion the Kommunistische Partei Dundorf took 154 seats in the Volkskammer, making them the third largest party behind the Freedom Party and the Socialist Workers Party. General Secretary Kessler has been a driving force in the unity bloc of the left. Many people have called it the "Communist Bloc" or the "United Left of Dundorf".

A Moderate Wave?

As the December elections grow nearer, Volkspartei members are quietly confident about the possibility of finally bringing an end to the dominance of the far-left in Dundorfian politics. Currently holding a total of 254 seats in the 500 seat Bundestag, the SED, Linkspartei and RKP block continues to dominate politics. The Volkspartei has already made attempts to moderate politics - for instance, its presence in the past two Governments, and attempts to bring the right and left wings together to compromise over key issues such as the economy. However, it's leader - and current Finance Minister - Clara Lang has found it difficult to do so with the left still able to outvote any bill from the centre to right. Speaking at her party's conference, she said;

"This party was founded with the great vision of creating a non-polarized Dundorf. We live and have lived for as long as we can remember in a nation which is split so greatly between the Right-wing Conservatives and the Far-Left Socialists. It is time for this centre ground, where compromises can be made, to be taken advantage of. We can do this, we don't have that hard to push. We can make this party, this moderate party, this PEOPLES' party, a force to be reckoned with in Dundorf. That is our challenge, ladies and gentlemen, and that is what we must strive for. An end to the dominance of the Left, and the beginning of a new age of consensus.

Ms Lang's dream is, it seems, not that far away. With the left holding onto their dominance by a thread - they only need to lose 4 seats at the next election to bring the Bundestag into deadlock and only 5 to hand the Volkspartei and KP a majority of the seats combined. Of course, just as the party speaks out against Left Wing dominance, it has often preached the danger of Conservatism in society. How, exactly, the Volkspartei will proceed if they are dealt a lucky hand after the election is yet unknown, but Ms Lang is certainly looking like the kind of woman that could one day lead our nation.

NKRP holds first rally in Dunburg

The newest party on the political scene makes itself known with one of the biggest rallies ever in the capitol. With the Party President, Erwin Raithel, pumping up the crowd with words of partisanship and progression. Such words have not been heard in the longest time ever. He has maneuvered this new party to a quick legislative victory with three bills that are set to be passed in the legislature later this year. The young leader was fed up with the standoff between the left and right so he started a party that will work with both sides and push for progress that Dundorf needs. Although the party is still not well known in many parts of the nation they are ready to fight for the rights of the people. Mr. Raithel is a fond agriculturalist and said the party is ready to fight for more funding for agricultural projects in Dundorf. Thousands of Dundorfians today proved to many politicians in office that they were tired of their incompetence in office. Many polls predict the party will not win many seats during the next election, but if they continue to gather crowds like this they will grow faster than any party in Dundorf's history.

Socialist Republicans start large-scale organization efforts

After their very successful first election in which it became the largest party, the Socialist Republican Party has started to organize in all provinces of Dundorf, setting up local parties and seeking to expand its membership and active following. Most important of all, however, are the ongoing efforts to interact and expand contacts with the Dundorfian trade unions. "We are not a regular political party" said prominent party spokesman Max Weinhof, " we are a social movement of the working class and the disposessed. We are not in politics to take power for ourselves, but to turn it over to the righteous rulers of this nation and indeed of all nations - the people". The party has declared it refuses to join government "except under extraordinary or very perilous conditions", due to its rejection of the very institution of an executive cabinet, instead favouring direct democracy and workers' councils on a basic, grassroots level. "Our fellow comrades in the party's parliamentary representation will work to achieve those goals and defend the people, not corrupt themselves through a megalomanian quest for high offices at the public's expense".

Stanfelj calls the SRP out

While in the Reichstag today Mr. Stanfelj who is a party rep. in the Reichstag, called the SRP out for not supporting the new budget plan his party created. The representative spoke words that could have been taken as a way of him claiming the leftist party as unpatriotic. Although his party is still new and holds no seats in the legislature they have been prominently backed by both the DV and SRP. The party's leadership has yet to respond to the socialist's remarks on the legislative floor. On a brighter note the party is starting to become the most popular topic in Dundorf. Recent polls have shown that more and more people are becoming interested in what the new voice has to say.

NKRP says Kaiser should be an elected position

During a press conference this afternoon NKRP's President, Erwin Raithel, announced that the party does not support a hereditary kaiser, instead the party supports a bold idea where the kaiser would be elected by the people themselves. Erwin Raithel said that
Freedom and liberty can only truly come when the people elect their public officials. The Kaiser should not hold such a high power over their people. If we want to see a more open government, then we must work hard to change the fact that our leader was not elected to rule us! Instead he believes it is his own God given right to rule over us. That is why the NKRP will not support hereditary kaisers, we will only support elected kaisers to not rule us, but lead us forward!
This will make the second political party in Dundorf that does not support a hereditary kaiser. Polls are showing from all the major news outlets in Dundorf that the Kaiser's approval rating is falling faster than ever. The change in support may bring the centre-right party and the SRP closer.

SRP hosts anti-budget demonstration

The Socialist Republican Party and trade union activists have staged a protest of thousands of people against the latest budget changes proposed by the NKRP and passed by the rightists in parliament. Party delegate Mathilda Steiner vigorously denounced the budget. "This budget shows that only the SRP is willing to stand up for public services and social security. How can you take the NKRP seriously on social affairs when they first vote in favour of universal healthcare, yet in the next instant proposes major reductions in the health budget? It's nonsensical. And the sharp reductions in funding for research and education will have devastating effects on our schools and universities, enslaving people further under the yoke of ignorance." She also objected to the areas due to receive extra funding, agriculture and defence. "This is just a huge boost to the military industry at the expense of the people. This increase will see an unprecendented militarization of our society, while service quality goes down rapidly. Is this "moderate", by anyone's standards? And whereas we don't reject in principle to supporting agriculture more, without land reform and empowerment of the landless peasant class, most of this money will most likely just go straight into the pockets of already wealthy landowners. We will fight this kind of policies until they are reversed, and won't hesitate or take a single step backwards!"
