DZP EXPECTING REICHSTAG LOSSES

Dunburg, November 17, 4972: With the advent of a new ultra conservative party, ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER asked State Secretary to the Reichsprasident Heinrich Feiereisen, what the thinking was among Dunfordische Zentrumspartei operatives about the next Reichstag election. Feiereisen responded:

We expect the ultra conservative party will take some seats from the three centrist parties; ultra conservatives who had to choose between centrists and socialists now have a party mirroring their own ideology. The ultraconservative party may also draw some military first votes from some of the socialist parties that have stressed militarism.

We do expect the three socialist parties to have a majority in the Reichstag and be able to form another ruling coalition. Quite honestly, we rather suspect there will be another factor or two changing the apparent dynamics of the race during the two and a half years remaining before the next election.

Asked by ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER if Reichsprasident Saalwachter would be seeking another term, the State Secretary replied:

Certainly believe he will but it is still a while before a decision needs to be made. As you probably know, there is a lot of talk of DZP Party Secretary Hildegarde Wallenstein making another run or of World Congress Representative August Steigerwald taking a shot at it. Again, it is still two and a half years til the election.

KC GRAND TO BECOME AVAILABLE IN DUNDORF

Vogelsburg, February 17, 4973: ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER today learned from State Secretary to the Reichsprasident Heinrich Feiereisen that at the Dinkelacker – Bruder (Dinkelacker) Operations Headquarters in Vogelsburg, executives of the Aloria corporation KC Motors, and Dinkelacker had reached an agreement whereby the KC Motors popular SUV called the KC Grand would now be able to be purchased right here in Dundorf.

KC Motors and Dinkelacker believe there will be a lively market in Dundorf for a high quality SUV since Dundorf is largely the home of small trucks and cars with the occasional aging large foreign sedan. The internationally popular KC Grand is equipped with an independent front and multi link rear suspension..

KC Motors will be transporting the SUV’s to Vogelsburg where Dinlkelacker is currently operating a truck service and repair facility as well as a used truck business. Dinkelacker is completely refurbishing its facilities including installation of an attractive and modern sales showroom. KC Motors technical staff will train Dinkelacker personnel on servicing and repairing the KC Grand and supplying Dinkelacker with the necessary testing equipment for maintenance. The necessary cyber support interface for ordering parts and sales accounting as well as financing will also be established by KC Motors.

Dinkelacker will not only be selling the KC Grand in Vogelsburg in Dunlake Reichslander but is opening sales, service and repair facilities in Unterschloss in Oderveld Reichslander and Fuchstal in Julstoch Reichslander. Eventually Dinkelacker expects to open facilities in the remaining two Reichslanders once the loans for expansion have been paid.

ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER has learned that for its services KC Motors will receive stock for a 15% interest in Dinkelacker – Bruder. The finacing for the expansion of facilities to Unterschloss and Fuchstal will be financed by a 7 million ALO loan at 3% interst to Dinkelacker through the Bronze Plate Initiative of the government of Aloria made with funds from Aloria Capital Holdings ( ACH ) & Aloria Finance & Investment Ventures (AfiBV).

Fendelhorst, Braunschweiger and Dorfmann handled the preparation and execution of the contractual documents and loan closing instructions.

REICHSPRASIDENT MEETS WITH CHURCH LEADERS

Neukirchstadt, March 15, 497$: Rechsprasident Karl Saalwachter met with the priests and senior clergy of the Neukirchstadt Diocese of the Auroran Patriarchal Church at the invitation of the Bishop to discuss an initiative from the Bishop. Saalwachter afterward told ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER:

As you know we are looking for ways, small ways and big, to help the economy grow. At the moment private banks are allowed but a hot political topic is regularly whether the socialists will nationalize all the banks. The Bishop of Neukirchstadt has established a fund to help the situation.

Called the Diocesan Small Loan Fund, it will be administered out of the Bishop’s Office by Monsignor Franz Hossbach. Loans for cars, furniture, appliances, clothing and household goods as well as mortgages and small businesses up to 50,000 DUM will be available to anyone whether of the Auroran Patriarchal Church or not who resides in the Diocese.

We want to commend the Bishop for setting up this fund and contrivbuting to our much needed economic growth in these stressful times.

DEFEATED REICHSPRASIDENT DISCUSSES ELECTION

Neukirchstadt, March 15, 4975: At Dundorfische Zenstrumspartei (DZP) Headquarters in Neukirchstadt, defeated Rechsprasident Karl Saalwachter discussed DZP losing 44 seats and his coming in fourth for Reichsprasident with ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER which asked him why the stunning defeat:

Well first we should acknowledge it was a defeat for us, a serious loss. My own showing in the race for Reichsprasident was right dismal. We congratulate Reichsprasident Hermann on his decisive election as Reichsprasident.

We would note five of the six parties had dramatic shifts in support, very dramatic. There is currently a socialist coalition running the government however the socialists do not have a majority in the Reichstag.

For a new government to be formed, three parties will be necessary for a coalition. The three centrist parties, should they chose to work together, could form a ruling coalition government.

As to our losses, they may well have been inevitable, but we did make two tactical mistakes. We guessed wrong as to which party to endorse for Reichsprasident. A mistake, but probably ultimately one that made no difference.

In sharp contrast was our voting on the last three bills introduced into the Reichstag. We miscalculated and lost some key constituencies. Undoing this damage is seriously the DZP party focus.

Infrastructure and Transport Minister Braunschweiger

INFRASTRUCTURE AND TRANSPORT FINANCES DRONES

Karlsborn, September 13, 4975: Martin Braunschweiger, Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, attended a meeting at the Wutende Gans Hotel in Karlsborn, Grozvic Reichslander, for Ministry managers and local business executives.

ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER learned from Braunschweiger that a Karldsborn toy, model airplane, and miniature railroad manufacturer, Grozvic Modelle, owned by Fritz and Bruno Stachel, wants to go into the delivery and observation drone business as Grozvic Unbemanntes Fluggerat (GUF). Further, the Ministry of Infrastructure and transport will be advancing funds for the project to pay for new equipment and development plans.

The Stachel Brothers will be producing the GUF 178 with wingspan of 178 cm, top speed of 240 kmh, and maximum range of 120 km. It is powered by four electric motors, two of which are used for forward flight and four for hovering with a tilt motor mechanism allowing for transition. The GUF 178 is constructed as a composite of fiberglass and carbon fiber. Delivery is by slow drop with a winch mechanism without landing. Taking on payload is done while landed.

GUF is looking for drone delivery contracts and is optimistic about the possibility of the postal service buying a number of units.

REICHSTAG VOTING ON SEGREGATION SANCTIONS

Dunburg, April 15, 4976: Foreign Minister August Steigerwald has called for a vote on the bill ratifying economic sanctions against the current Luthori regime for practicing segregation. Steigerwald told ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER:

We really do not know for certain how this vote will go. Reichsprasident Hermann has come out in favor of segregation and against the treaty sanctioning Luthori. The Reichsprasident got over 54% of the vote in the last election in the runoff and may well be wielding a great deal of influence.

Ten nations have voted to sanction the Luthori regime and four besides Dundorfisches Reich are considering ratification. The Foreign Ministry and my party, Dundorfische Zenstriumspartei, believe it is very important for us to join the civilized nations in acting at this time.

Again, we do not know the outcome and realize there are difficulties, but it is a test of our fundamental decency.

NATIONAL CURRICULUM TO REFOCUS

Dunburg, August 6, 4977: Education and Culture Minister Hildegarde Wallenstein today met with Headquarters and Reichslander Ministry personnel involved in designing and enforcing the National Curriculum and told them bluntly what the government expected them to be doing. ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER was able to talk to Wallenstein after the meeting and learned from her the focus of her remarks:

Far too often the issues discussed are concerned solely with what political philosophy if any should be taught. Dundorfische Zentrumspartei (DZP) has positions on issues as do all the parties but frankly who cares. The one thing on which we all agree is that we need to become prosperous again. And the most important question for you is how can you help.

There are five ways. First there is mathematics. Physics, chemistry and engineering all have an underpinning of mathematics. As Physics Professor Werner von der Vogelweide said 2000 years ago, if you actually graduate we expect you to know something. To actually build our economy we are going to need competent scientists and engineers.

Well, what of the student who expects to earn a living blogging about the most desirable coffee shops for WiFi and frappucino latte butte that her or his telephone ap suggested? Need math? Well yes. Since that ornament to society will earn practically nothing and likely need to drown her or his sorrows in alcohol, knowing whether 5.75 DUM for a pint of rotgut is more expensive that 9.12 DUM for a fifth of the same is critical to survival. So learn arithmetic at least.

We also need students who can read and write Dundorfian. In fact people who actually can explain things and particularly explain things in writing are in very short supply. Very short supply.

Third, everybody needs to learn current basic technology. Why, to play games of course. No but simply navigating through life is getting harder rather than easier. Help the students out.

Fourth, everybody needs to know how to do some auto mechanics and be familiar with basic maintenance. Everybody.

And fifth, we must teach self discipline by discipline. Require performance. The self esteem of the student is not more important. If we are to build a great economy out of what we have then we have to have workers who are disciplined enough to produce.

This is what we expect from the National Curriculum.

Foreign Ministry, February 15, 4978: After talks between Hutorian Minister of Foreign Affairs Solomon Johnson and Dundorfian Foreign Minister August Steigerwald, the Holy Republic of Hutori will be opening an embassy in Dunburg and the Dundorfisches Reich will be opening an embassy in Bekenial.

ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER has learned that upon the arrival in Dunburg of the Ambassador from the Holy Republic, negotiations on a posiible non aggression pact and free trade agreement will be undertaken.

DEFENSE MINISTER TESSLER POSES QUESTIONS TO NDC

Dunburg, April16, 4978: Defense Minister Otto Tessler met with the Grand Commander of the Reichswehr and the National Defense Council (NDC) to discuss Reichswehr equipment funding costs. ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER has learned that the defense Minister posed four questions to the Grand Commander and the NDC:

1. What does the ReichsHeer think of the air transport available to its troops and equipment?
2. Does the ReichsHeer believe the thirty Vaarsee Class missile boats are sufficient for the task assigned.
3. What does the Luftwaffe think is the best prospect for ground support aircraft?
4. What does the Luftwaffe think is the level of need for bombers?

DZP MEETS TO CONSIDER FUTURE

Neukirchstadt, May 13, 4979: Party Leaders of Dundorfische Zentrumspartei (DZP) met at its Party Headquarters in Neukirchstadt ostensibly to chart a new way forward at the urging of Party Leader Heinrich Feiereisn but in fact an air of satisfaction prevailed because DZP had picked up two seats and moved from fourth to third largest party amid considerably more fluctuation by other parties.

ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER learned from DZP Treasurer Reinhard Kempf that some changes in direction were being considered. According to Kempf:

DZP will continue to support religious freedom and continue to advocate changing the outrageously confiscatory income tax structure imposed upon the poorest and everybody else. It is frankly disgraceful and seriously impeding economic growth.

We want to give more emphasis to actually promoting economic growth and protecting the safety net. Another emphasis must be friendly relations with our neighbors and promotion of our international trade.

Further we want it known DZP is firmly committed to democracy. Firmly and fully committed.

In the past we have been identified with the capitalist interests. We are not against businesses at all but now believe in Dundorfishes Reich for the time being in the current atmosphere both state owned and operated businesses and privately owned businesses should coexist and work together to strengthen the economy.

Another change is we have tended to favor no environmental regulation of corporations and believe now that economic and environmental interests should be balanced.

We have been largely silent on military matters but our position actually is quite clear. Getting the income tax under control is important to us and a huge military buildup is not. Once the income tax is tolerable, and the safety net is secure and the budget and government activity are promoting economic growth, then increases in military spending might well be in order.

In the meantime, DZP recognizes we must have a military to defend our nation. We are quite confident there is more than enough in the budget to do just that.
