Trigunian Arms Expo set for June, 5202 in Kaiserburg

Kaiserburg, Brakav - The Trigunian Ministry of Defense announced that Triboronexport (Trigunian Defense Export), the state-owned defense industry sales agency, would be holding the first Trigunian Arms Expo in Kaiserburg in June, 5202. Minister of Defense Army General Agripin Zhukov noted that the Trigunian government would be investing several million Rabols to "...showcase the prowess of Trigunian-built military equipment and technologies that are available for export across the globe." Trigunian consistently ranks at the top or near the top of arms deals throughout the globe according to the International Arms Trade Commission and the World Congress. Trigunian military equipment, designs and off-shoots are found throughout the globe in countries such as Yingdala, Deltaria and other places. Triboronexport is the state-owned agency responsible for the management of the defense-industrial complex and the sale of any arms equipment. Some of the pieces of equipment that are on display are the the modernized variant of the Su-25 known as the Su-25SM which is one of the worlds foremost CAS (close air support) aircraft and one of the main export aircraft of Triboronexport for the past several decades. In addition to the Su-25SM, the MiG-35E has been completed and prepared for export which will allow the purchasers to have a state-of-the-art front-line fighter jet to compete with other models such as the F-35, the Unionfighter and others. In addition the United Aircraft Corporation has dozens of helicopters and other aircraft for sale and prepared for export variants.

In addition, the United Shipbuilding Corporation and the various land system corporations have dozens of pieces of equipment for sale. For instance, the state of the art main battle tank, the T-90 has prepared export variants. Both the T-90MS and the T-90MSK are prepared for export and Triboronexport has already announced interest since the announcement that they would be prepared for export service once again after several years on hiatus. In addition the 2S25 Sprut-SD which was originally designed for the Trigunian Airborne Forces but has become a stable as a light tank and helped revive the popular "assault gun" class of armored vehicles. The Trigunian Arms Expo will be held from June 1st through June 20th and those interested in purchasing can reach out to the Trigunian Ministry of Defense to discuss purchasing or military material assistance.

Trigunian MoD confirms new "Kerisian Special Air Policing Operation"

Trigunian Federation - Trigunian Minister of Defense Army General Agripin Zhukov confirmed that the Trigunian Aerospace Forces would begin the Kerisian Special Air Policing Operation (Rodshyan: Керисианская специальная операция воздушной полиции; tr. Kerisianskaya spetsial'naya operatsiya vozdushnoy politsii; KSOVP) which is the permanent development of regular air patrols around Keris. Trigunia has a history of air patrols around Keris much to the chagrin of members of Keris and Makon neighboring communities. Trigunia resumed air patrols around Trigunia and Keris in January, 5192.

The formalization by the Trigunian Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces means that the Trigunia's see the air patrols as a means to protect their interest. General Zhukov noted that the mission was aimed at protecting Trigunian interests from pirates and "rogue elements" throughout the world. "Trigunia, just as any other country, is dedicated to the protection of its national interests. I have spoken with President Vlasov and he has confirmed with me that this is what Trigunia needs to do in order to protect our national interests." Deputy of the State Duma Miron Germanovich Semichayevsky applauded the move and thanked the Trigunian Aerospace Forces for protecting Trigunia and the various shipping lanes throughout the region. "Trigunia must protect her interests. The Motherland is sacred and we must do whatever is necessary to protect it!"

The Trigunian Aerospace Forces did not specify which units will be taking part in the mission but the Ministry of Defense confirmed it would be done on a rotational basis. General Zhukov also confirmed that the Rodshyadam-class aircraft carrier had finished refit and modernization and would be undergoing a period of exhaustive testing and examination before entering into sea trials. The Petrovgrad, the sole remaining Yegorovich-class aircraft carrier, returned to the dry dock following a series of "miscalculations" according to the Defense Minister.

Two Trigunian jets intercepted by Dolgavian Unionfighters and patrol aircraft

Deliverance Pass - Two Trigunian fighter jets were intercepted after patrolling off the coast of Dolgavia earlier this week a report issued by the Trigunian Ministry of Defense. The jets, a part of the Trigunian Kerisian Special Air Policing Operation, were patrolling over international waters when they were intercepted by Dolgavian Unionfighters and other aircraft by Dolgavia's air force component of the Rapid Response Task Force. The intercepted Trigunian jets eventually returned to Trigunia and about halfway back to their return trip were left by the Dolgavia jets. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was informed of the interception during the initial encounter and Foreign Minister Sonya Sokolova condemned the interception. "International waters are not the place to attempt to "flex" muscles and show force. We wholly condemn this interception by Dolgavia and we have summoned the Dolgavian ambassador to answer for this behavior." The Foreign Minister reiterated that the Kerisian Special Air Policing Operation is done to ensure the safety of all vessels, no matter the flag, within international waters from piracy and anti-trade related activites. Political pundits in Trigunia, notably opposition members to the government, have cited that it is quite standard for jets to be intercepted when traveling close to national EEZs and coastlines, something that Trigunia has regularly done itself when nations come close to sea borders and lines of control.

Hebizh Kasparov, an independent State Duma Deputy and notable opposition activist to the Trigunian People's Front, condemned the move in a speech before the State Duma and called on the Minister of Defense, Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces and the Prime Minister to be summoned before the State Duma's Committee on Defense and Security to answer for the behavior.

The Bashnya, Rodshyadam - President Makar Vlasov addressed the nation at a full session of the State Duma regarding the recent announcement that Trigunia was the culprit in the assassination of the Deltarian President, Patrik Siroky. President Vlasov's announcement came as the Deltarian investigative authorities had completed their investigate or rather, who they believed had conducted the assassination. President Vlasov stated: "Trigunians, at home and abroad, the Trigunian Federation had no involvement in the brutal assassination of Deltarian President Patrik Siroky. That is first." The President was met by applause of the State Duma. "Trigunia does not utilize the assassination of foreign political officials as an official tool of the government nor would we sanction such behavior by a third party. The actions of the Vyacheslav Antonov were his and his alone. When it was made public on April 18, 5202 that Vyacheslav Antonov was the assassin and he had Trigunian ties, the State Security Service and the Foreign Intelligence Service began an investigation at my behest immediately. It was determined that Antonov had moved from Trigunia when he was a young child to Deltaria with his parents. I can confirm that he has not returned to Trigunia at all, in any capacity, since he departed for Deltaria. Furthermore, the investigation states he was involved with some sort of "Keris Credit Union" which has no operations in Trigunia according to the Ministry of Finance." The President went on to explain other smaller facts and details but reiterated as he was wrapping up. "We would caution those who would utilize this crisis as a means to engage in problematic behavior against the Trigunian government. The Trigunian Federation expresses its condolences to our Delic brothers and sisters in Deltaria but we had nothing to do with this act of madness from the assassin. We offer our cooperation in the matter and assistance."

TriAtom re-opens K. F. Makarov Atomic Research Facility in Novy Olvar

Novy Olvar, Vrosnok - The Trigunian State Atomic Energy Corporation announced the re-opening of the Hero of Trigunia K. F. Makarov (Korney Fyodorovich Makarov) Atomic Research Facility which many in Trigunia have linked closely with the development of previous Trigunian nuclear weapons programs. Representatives from TriAtom, the Ministry of Science and Technology and allegedly representatives from the Strategic Missile Forces were present as the facility was re-opened and a small ceremony was held. Prime Minister Ludmil Frolov who was in Vrosnok visiting the Zheleyarsk Nuclear Power Plant, stated that the facility was being re-opened to further allow for research and development in the field of nuclear energy. "Trigunia is not the only country in the world to rely on clean forms of energy. We point to Dorvik, a nation that has continually utilized nuclear power for clean energy generation. While there are not many things "good" in Dorvik, they certainly have harnessed the power of nuclear energy to work for them peacefully." The Prime Minister went on to quip about the recent shift into nuclear weapons ambiguity with the Kingdom of Dorvik but otherwise remained relatively diplomatic. Critics, including well-known opposition activity State Duma Deputy Hebizh Kasparov, called for assurances from the President regarding the development of nuclear weapons and how the Federation won't develop them.

President Vlasov restores the Tower and Factory Initiative

The Bashyna, Rodshyadam - President Vlasov announced that the State Council would be forming a new organ, the restoration of the State Planning Committee would be brought back and placed underneath the auspices of the State Council. The State Planning Committee (Rodshyan: Государственный комитет по планированию; tr. Gosudarstvennyy komitet po planirovaniyu - Gosplan) has traditionally been responsible for assisting either the head of state or the head of government in economic planning with an outward eye on foreign economic affairs. The President announced that Prokhor Timofeyevich Tryndin would be named as the Chairman of the State Planning Committee and in his first speech before the State Council which had its first meeting of the year in mid January, they would be restoring the Tower and Factory Initiative. The Tower and Factory Initiative was initially launched in October, 4619 but ultimately failed to get off the ground. In recent years President Vlasov has stated his intention of restoring the initiative but has not made any actions to restore it. In his speech on New Years Day, 5205 he stated his intention to restore the Tower and Factory Initiative. "We have several countries who have reached out to us regarding economic investment, in addition to other investments. We are restoring the Tower and Factory Initiative and we will actively encourage nations to interact with it." The Standing Committee on the Tower and Factory Initiative will be placed underneath the State Planning Committee and will oversee the overall operations of the initiative.

In addition the President announced the formation of the State Armaments and Planning Committee (Rodshyan: Государственный комитет по вооружениям и планированию; tr. Gosudarstvennyy komitet po vooruzheniyam i planirovaniyu; GosKov) this committee will focus on the procurement of weapons systems for the Trigunian military and will cooperate with the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense. In previous decades GosKov has been responsible for the acquisition of new technologies for the Trigunian Armed Forces.
