After the election, Dwayne Loops claims the actions of the government have been massively disapproved


After the election which saw the government parties lose 44 seats and left the parliament very fragmented, the CPL leader Dwayne Loops made a statement:

Mrs. Jackson and Mr. Weston thought they had the support of the Luthorians for their capitalist, anti-social agenda: removing all our environmental regulations, increasing retirement age, imposing their religion, desubsidizing public transports, privatizing vital industries,... The people proved them all wrong. Although Mr. Martin, that never spoke to defend the workers during its term, is the biggest loser of the election, the anti-social government surely had a rough night! Our movement gained votes, that's a start. Due to the deep crisis we live in and the complexity of the situation, we only managed to gain one seat and ten of thousands more votes. We also are the fourth party and the first left-wing party. WE ARE STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!
On the other hand, the fascist had really good results. They managed to get the votes of angry people with their anti-communist, anti-migrant, anti-secular rhetoric. And this has been facilitated by the government which made controversial statements and even passed laws that were PROPOSED by the far-right! The government has a direct influence on the rise of those parties! As communists, we will continue the fight against fascism and I am calling for the rallying of all our militants to prepare for the anti-fascist march that will be organised!

Our country is also in a deep crisis. A crisis because Luthori doesn't know where it should go. Fascism, communism, or the liberal elites? Our answer is that we should show the way through action inside and outside the parliament. We should participate in all demonstrations and propose as many laws as we can for the people. Because only then, only with visibility, will we be able to win this war. The fascists are doing just that: they talk a lot, they propose ridiculous laws, they insult us, they lie and they win. We must be that voice again. The voice of the people.

Hundreds of thousand protest against the rise of fascism in the country

After the 4739 election (https://particracy.fandom.com/wiki/4739 ... y_Election) where far-right parties won 39 seats and where the very conservative cabinet won 38 seats, hundreds of thousands of anti-fascists have gathered in the streets of Luthori to show their reject of fascism. According to the organisers, 600 000 people took part in the protests across the country while according to the authorities, the demonstrations gathered 250 000 people with 115 000 people in the capital, Fort William. The protests were support by all left-wing parties: the Communist Party, the Liberal Party, the Common Wealth Party and the Left for Progress. The protesters were shouting slogans such as "No to fascism, no to racism, resistance!" or "You won't take my rights!" and "Luthori, wake up!" No incidents were reported as there were no counterprotesters, the HLC and the LUF staying silent.
According to Dwayne Loops, the leader of the CPL: "These demonstrations are the sign that the party is over for fascists. People will start to understand that those parties are just there to incite hatred and support the capitalist system instead of pointing out the real problems. Those who are suffering ,those who work 55 hours a week, those who can't pay their bills, those who can't pay their bus ticket are not responsible for the crisis, the government is and the capitalist system is!"

What is sure is that this demonstration made the news amid difficulties concerning the formation of a cabinet.

Victory of the Communist Party in the Diet: their bill to prevent climate change passed

It is a seen as a victory for the left: the new laws by the Communist Party passed in the Diet.
The new legislation restores the national park system, enforces moderate pollution restrictions for industries, re-implements a national recycling policy, subsidises research and generation of energy through renewable sources and changes the position of the government concerning climate change.
Although it is not at the core of their political propaganda, the Holy Luthori Church supported the bill, its 18 seats being decisive. However, as ecology is traditionally associated with the left, the HLC may not get that much support from climate activists.
The Communist Party leader Dwayne Loops called the event "historical": "Thanks to the popular mobilisation, thanks to the anger of the climate activists against this government, we managed to pass a bill that will reduce the negative effects of the White Rose-LCP cabinet. This is a step in the right direction and we hope to see more examples of that in the future. Now, the time has come for a new election. Prime Minister Tina Jackson is completely incompetent and unable to form a cabinet. The Imperator Weston is also invisible. This can't last longer. There is a social emergency, people can't live anymore, the prosperity of our country is in great danger due to the dangerous policies of Mrs. Jackson and that has to change, with a new popular vote!"

Conservative Government Pass Last Bills and Budget of Second Term !

The Conservative Government, just months before the next election, have presented their final legislative agenda and a budget which incorporates all there changes over the last 9 years to the Departmental spending of the Government.

The Re-Affirmation of Nuclear Status 4738, is a confirmation of Luthorian continued acceptance of nuclear weapons, as well as biological and chemical weapons. The bill re-affirmed the status with 100 to 50 votes, as the Communists backed the Government.

The Rules of Engagement 4738, removed the rules of nuclear, chemical and biological engagement previously imposed by the left-wing Government. The bill passed down party lines, with the Communists saying, 'The current legislation suits us. No need to target civilians. Being strong does not mean targeting civilians. Innocents could be impacted by this legislation and thousands of people could lose their lives if nuclear or chemical weapons are used on civilians.' The White Rose responded, 'The Commies need to understand the difference between Government control and targeting civilians. I can assure the Diet we will never support targeting civilians, but we want the Government to be able to react and respond with our weapons as the situation dictates, without hands tied.'

The Diplomats Act 4738, reforms diplomatic immunity and World Congress appointments. It removes locally elected representatives to the World Congress for legislature election national representatives. It also allows visiting diplomats to be sued in the civil courts.

The Bail Act 4738, abolishes bail for serious crimes and it passed the Diet unanimously. Previously, all those awaiting trial were able to post bail.

The Juries Act 4738, allows juries in serious cases but empowers judges and magistrates in others, with the removal and end of universal trials by jury. The Government got the surprise backing of the Communists and Liberals, meaning the bill passed 115 to 35.

The Privilege Act 4738, which passed unanimously, allows the Diet to overrule members of the legislatures exemption from any civil or criminal liability for their speech or actions related with the performance of their duties during their term of office.



The Budget passed with the support of the Liberals and saw some huge budget changes for Departments;

HoG – up £95 million
Home Office – up £5 billion
Treasury – down £300 million
Defence – up £5 billion
Justice – down £2 billion
Transport – down £5 billion
Health and Welfare – up £5 billion
Environment - down £5 billion
Trade & Industry – down £2 billion

The Liberals said, 'Although we’d like to see the weight lifted off of the shoulders of the working class with an increase in spending on Trade and Industry, we believe that this is as far as we can strike a cord with the conservative government and thereforewe will vote yes, and we urge our fellow left-wing parties to do the same. We must not divide ourselves when we don’t get our way, we must work together.'

The Communists misunderstood that the increase of the HoG budget was to fund the new Youth Parliament which had begun sitting, they said 'Our first objection is: Why such an enormous Head of Government budget? For corruption? The Head of Government should represent the people and not receive 0.42 % of the total State Budget. This would mean that 0.42 % of all the money collected through taxes would be use to renovate your palace. How many cars does Mrs. Jackson need to buy with all of this money? How many houses?'

The CWP joined the Communists, saying 'We welcome the increase of spending on social services but this is the wrong way to do so. I have to agree with Mr. Loops' criticism. So much expenditure for HoG is not needed, the same applies to defense.'

The Deputy Imperial Seal Bearer, Duke Thomas, said 'Once more, the CPL and CWP ignore the comments and simply oppose. The Head of Government budget has increased to fund the Youth Parliament, it is not a wage! It will allow for elections and operation of said Parliament at a cost of £95 million. The Defence increase funds the Luthorian National Service. The Environment budget can be decreased as we have ended all enforcement of health and safety, pollution and other climate change policies. Please read the reasons, money for monies sake is pointless, we have reasons for all these changes.'

The final budget of the Conservative Governments second term passed 97 to 53.

Conservatives Regain Some Lost Ground in Second Election in a Year !

After 10 years of Conservative majority Government there has been political chaos in Luthori.

In the March 4739 election, the White Rose managed to defeat Jonathan Martin of the Liberal Party for the Office of Imperator but they lost 24 seats in the Diet, whilst the LCP lost 20. This means the right-wing bloc had just 38 seats. The left-wing bloc had 60 seats and the new Holy-bloc had 52 seats.

The Duke said, 'It is clear we have been punished by the return of the HLC and their new allies, although we convinced the LUF to back us in the Imperator election. This is a disappointing night, but we remain the caretaker Government until a new Government is formed, and the right continue to hold a majority.'

But, 13 months later, no one had been able to form a Government, the Conservative Government remained in place and with no deals on the horizon, the Diet dissolved itself for a new election.

This election was different, the White Rose regained 7 seats and the LCP regained 11. The HLC became the official opposition with a gain of 16 seats whilst the left-wing, who had managed to pass their environment bill, lost seats.

So, the day after an election which once more saw the White Rose win the office of Imperator, this time with the backing of the Liberals and had turnout over 84%, the right-wing bloc have 68 seats. The left-wing bloc have 48 seats and the HLC have lost their allies and have 34 seats.

The Duke said, this morning, 'We have regained some lost ground and once more moved to 3rd place in the Diet whilst holding the office of the Imperator. We do not have the numbers to enthrone a royal family on a hereditary basis yet but we will continue to drive this. We have every intention of continuing to govern the nation, hopefully we can keep the HLC out of Cabinet for the foreseeable and we continue to present legislation we believe is essential for Luthori and our future. Let us see what the future holds now.'

Duke and Wife Attend Reformed Church Sermon in Likatonia !

Duke Thomas Weston and his wife, Sarah, have attended a sermon by John Benton in Clovisport, within the Federal Republic of Likatonia. It appears the couple attended the sermon which is now being called the 'Speech of Unity'.

It was previously reported that Sarah Weston was following the news regarding the new reformation, but it was unclear if the Duke was doing the same. The visit, just weeks after the April 4740 election, has surprised many in Luthori who know that the White Rose has been led by a Weston who follows the Luthorian Church for the last 525 years.

The couple's household have confirmed the pair will spend a few days in Likatonia, and are expected to meet with John Benton personally in Clovisport before returning to Youk. The spokesperson said, 'The Duke and Duchess consider religion to be a personal matter, they are not going to make any comment on their faith. They adhere to the laws and rules of the nation, we are sure you can find out their official religion in the Census in 4745.'

The Duke has come into criticism, with the Stinson family calling on them to re-affirm their commitment to the Luthorian Church which is the state religion, and to condemn the reformation happening in Likatonia. The Weston and Stinson families have been political allies in the White Rose for over 500 years, could this effect that relationship?

Caretaker Cabinet Present Bills and Push Agenda!

The Communists passed their climate change bill at the end of last year in the lame duck Diet, but the Conservative Government are about to reverse key policies in that bill now they have more comfortable numbers after the April 4740 election.

The Saving Our Planet Reform 4739 put climate change at the forefront of policy once more, and mandated enforced recycling for industry. It created funding for a national park system, it re-introduced enforced pollution restrictions and it created subsidies for research and generation of energy through renewable sources.

The Recycling Act 4740 will remove mandated recycling but does provide for public sites funded by the Government. The bill is expected to pass as the HLC backed it in the first vote, giving it 90 out of 150. The Conservatives are expected to lose the vote on the Pollution Act 4740 which would have ended enforced restrictions however as the HLC sided with the left-wing bloc.

The Climate Change Act 4740 once more means the official government position is that climate change is a problem, however we have to balance environmental protection with economic interests. This bill will pass once more with HLC support. The CWP said, 'It is possible through modernization of industry ,what we can do as an advanced country, to protect both our nature and our economy. We must first see what is good for our nature, because this is then good for our economy and thus our lifes.' But the Duke replied, 'Such rubbish. If it is good for our nature, great, but if it is bad for the economy, then it will do our people more harm.'

The Conservative Governments much awaited Public Transport Act 4740 is going to pass too, the bill restores some subsidies which were abolished for a user-pays system. It will mean public transport is fully subsidised for people with low-income, with the remainder "user-pays" and is in response to the nationwide strikes on trains and buses over recent weeks.

The CWP presented a Social Reform Bill, saying 'In order to guarantee a happy and liveable life for our citizens, social reforms must be carried out to prevent all bans that treat people unequally and that really do not simplify their life. Everyone should have the right and the freedom to decide for themselves what they want to say, wear, think, who to marry, etc. and be treated equally and to have the same rights. These reforms are the only possible way to insure it.' The bill allows cross-dressing, gay marriage, gender changes and makes blasphemy legal once more. It is expected to fail if the HLC oppose it, the Conservative Government said, 'These reforms are distorted and are not about freedoms, they are about perversions.'

Stalemate in Imperial Diet!



Four months after the 4740 election, held just 13 months after the last one when the lame duck Diet dismissed itself, and the new Diet has come to another stalemate. The Conservative Government remains as the caretaker Government, but a proposal for another election has failed, as well as 5 Government formation proposals have failed to pass.

However, that is not to say the Diet is doing nothing, there are no less than 18 bills being debated and voted upon in the Diet. The vast majority of these are from the White Rose, with bills also from the Liberals and the CWP.

Weston Enterprise Registers on Luthori Stock Exchange!

Weston Enterprise has registered with the Luthori Stock Exchange (LSE) for the first time in its 500 year history. The company holds shares in multiple national companies, and it has now been revealed they have substantially benefited from the policies of the Conservative Government over the last 11 years. 90% of the shares are held by Duke Thomas Weston and 10% of the shares are held by their long term allies, the Stinson family.

Westair is one of the companies first directly owned operations, it will operate domestic flights across the Duchies as well as flights across Artania, the registration documents have confirmed they intend to offer more flights across the rest of Terra within a decade. Weston Enterprise owns 7% of shares in Fort Rail, as well as 21% of Yodukan Travel and 3% of Central Rail, they have supported striker dismissals on the Board, and it has been confirmed they have voted for ticket price increases for Yodukan Travel.

The new CEO, Damien Childs, has announced that Weston Enterprise will move from being a conglomerate, to operating its own companies. He confirmed that they would use their shares in energy company, Northwest Power, which primarily operates in Yodukan, to drive prices down, taking full advantage of the nuclear subsidies and the new renewable subsidies.

The registration document also confirmed that Weston Enterprise own large shares in Northern Finance, the bank which took most current accounts of citizens in Geharon and Yodukan during the privatisation a decade ago. The Duke confirmed his family and business accounts were all with the bank, the company did not confirm how many shares they hold.
