Mikael Bonnette re-seizes the title of Head Internal Affairs

RCP's Mikael Bonnette regained the title of Head of Internal Affairs in a recent change of cabinet members. It's considered a great victory for the RCP and the people. Serving alongside him are Proffessor Preston Bryant, Head of Science and Technology, and Devin Skursky, Head of Agriculture. However Mr. Bonnette's views on the government of Luthori have long been a prime aspect of the RCP and Luthori. His arguments combine logic and humor to win over audiences. Mr. Bonnette also expressed his concern today of the rise of the "Boomer Parties" third group parties that have seemingly sprung out of nowhere. In his speech to the people of Sandulka he said:

This "Boomer Parties" have sprung out of nowhere, while they have little power as it is now they could soon become a domineering force in the future of Luthori.

Mr. Bonnette primarily expressed his concern of the new TRP, which he called "an insane communist-fascist party hoping to restrict upon the freedoms of the people"

We shall see in the near future how Mr.Bonnette works with or against these new "Boomer Parties" the Lemon Party, The Imperial Luthori Party, and of course, the Totalitarian Revolutionary Party. Will they be a hinderance or a blessing to Luthori?

Death of a Giant

His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Edward III of Luthori & I of Alduria and Mordusia has died. His Majesty lived to be 84 years old and died of natural causes. The late Prince William Jackson had been increasingly taking care of the affairs of the Emperor as President of the Privy Council, thus His Majesty had a relatively low public presence compared to his chief minister, who worked tirelessly until his last breath. The fact that the Emperor was diminishing his activites has really been seen since the death of Prince William last year and Richard Jackson took over as President of the Council.

The funeral procession marched through the capital city of Fort William as thousands lined the streets and wept for the monarch that they had loved. An Imperial Alliance survey suggested that at his death, 92% of those surveyed had a positive opinion of the Emperor, with 8% undecided. A funeral mass is set to be played in St Richard's Cathedral where many important dignitaries will be present

Foreign Office slams Mordusia

Foreign Minister Rannigan harshly criticized the de facto Mordusian government today which has overthrown the monarchy and withdrewn from the Axis treaties. In a press conference earlier today, he said that "recent developments in Mordusia will not improve relations between our two countries, quite the opposite actually, monarchist Mordusia was a great ally of Luthori." The Foreign Ministry has also expressed the great friendship between the people of Luthori and Mordusia and claimed the government was "unrepresentative of the general opinion".

The Empire Stirs with Chaos in Grand Duchy of Talmorschland

Imperial Troops struggling with rebels in one of the major cities

After the alarming news of the claiming of Hanzan by the Indralans who seek to build a Gao-Showan Empire, the local native extremeist Gao-Showans have risen up in the Grand Duchy of Talmorschland, to try and over throw the Imperial Government, a vassal state to the Terran Empire*. The population demographics of the nation over the pass century has shifted from being a majority Talmorians to a now recent majority of Gwo-Showans, with the Artanians and other races still trailing in the minorities. This uprising which has been dubbed, "The Hanz Rebellion" by the local media, has erupted all over the Colony, which has at least forced the Military and the government to crack down. However, these rebels seem to being using spears and swords while chanting spiritual prays of battle against the local troops which has led to mass killings all over the Duchy pushing the rebellion south. While in a few areas, the Military is having a hard time keeping control, and we know of at least one fort in the South falling to rebels, however the Military has said they will reclaim it in due time.

Imperial Viceroy Responds to Chaos and Declares Imperial Mandate

The Imperial Government has been in a state of chaos with the Director-General in a meeting today with his entire cabinet, as they try to get the situation under control. However, it was not unitl 3:00 pm this afternoon that the Imperial Viceroy, Lord Thomas Conneler, gave his approval for the Government to issue a state of emergancy and bring the Duchy under martial law. The Viceroy had this to say from his Summer Villa's garden in a press meeting,
"The Imperial Government of Director-General has been meeting all day to bring the situation under control as fast as possible. I have been meeting with the Emperor via telecam all day today, and we, the Emperor and the Director-General, have decided that the nation shall fall under Imperial Mandate until the rebellion is crushed and order is reestablished. This means that starting now all rights have been suspended and the police along with other military and state offices shall answer to me. as the representative of the Emperor. I urge everyone to stay safe and follow every instruction that is given to you."

The Viceroy has ordered Imperial High General Edwards to put down the Hanz Rebellion, upon which order the General has decided to send into the lower region of the Duchy the I Legion of Talmorschland, which is the under the command General Wu Chin. With the situation growing worse in the southern parts of the region over this, it is expected that the center of the Terran Empire*, Luthori, will itself take action along with the other full member states.


*OOC: Terran Empire- Made up technically of all member states of the Commonwealth of nations, but in this case is referring to the main nations of Luthori, which is the political center of the Empire, Alduria, which is in a military and political union with Luthori, and Mordusia, which is held in Personal Union with Alduria and Luthori. Yishelem is also a member of the Empire, by being a vassal state of Luthori, which manages all of the vassal states that are part of the Empire. Alduria, Luthori and Mordusia are Homeland Status members and thus each rule according to however they are members of the Empire.

Lord Constable sends fleet to Talmorschland!

2847 Edition

The Lord Constable has sent the supercarriers HMS Iron Duke and the HMS Warspite and their escorts to the colony of Talmorschland to crush the Hanz Rebellion. 20'000 marines and 60'000 soldiers were sent to small colony with the firm intention of crushing any and all rebels. Until an expeditionary force is officially formed by the Diet, Admiral Sir David Hutchkinson is the commander of the force. The Directorate of National Security has declared all who take part in the Hanz Rebellion enemies of the Crown, therefore stripping them of any and all rights in Luthori law. In a statement from his ship he said: "martial law has been imposed, we come to enforce it and remove the enemies of His Majesty."



In Talmorschland, General Wu Chin has had only minor successes and considerable portions of the southern part of the duchy remain under the influence of the rebels. However, in the northern part of the Duchy, anti-rebellion operations have largely been taken over by the IODS, which has been much more succesfull than the colonial army. The rebels now only hold 5 or 6 strongholds which should fall shortly.

PRESIDENT FORD INVITES NATIONS FOR CONFERENCE ABOUT HANZEN, TALMORSCHLAND

Libertia, January 2847 - James Ford, President of the Democratic Republic of Aloria, invites all involved nations to discuss the crisis in Hanzen. President Ford will host a conference at the Presidential Palace in Libertia, Aloria, to solve the crisis about the Hanzen question and to solve this crisis on a diplomatic way. Foreign Minister Abbott will travel to Luthori, Hulstria, Indrala and several other nations to talk about the Hanzen Crisis and the rebellion in Talmorschland. President Ford hopes this conference will leed to succes and to avoid military interverence...

The Empire Suffers an Embarrassing and Devastating String of Defeats!!!

Today the Imperial Forces from newly arrived HMS Iron Duke and the HMS Warspite, under the command of Admiral Sir David Hutchkinson, suffered a devastating defeat today, with the total number of dead still rising, but numbers last reported at about 4,678 wounded and 1,232 dead out of the 10,000 troops (8,000 soldiers and 2000 marines) that stormed the Serpent Pass Fort. The narrow passage way turned into a death trap as the rebels using primitive weapons and traps sent the mountain falling down onto the troops as they desperately tried to break the gate of the for. The Serpent Pass Fort is crucial to the retaking of the southern lands that are still in turmoil, due to it being the main supply line in and out of the southern half of the nation. Admiral Hutchkinson office said that he was to busy at the moment to hold a press conference, the same response was given by High General Edwards's and General Wu Chin's offices, but all of them did say that they were deeply sadden by this failure and the sacrifice that the Imperial Forces made in their failed attempt to take the fort.

Imperial Force Blunders at Keeping Control in Major Cities in the South.

Imperial Forces suffered another major setback today as the major cities, which up until now had been kept in control during the rebellion, have finally erupted into a fit of riots, overthrowing of major Imperial offices and local government sectors as they stormed the outnumbered and supply depleted Imperial Forces and local police stations gaining military hardware and other such equipment, while at the same time over throwing the Governments.

With this major set back, General Wu Chin has had to pull most of the remaining Imperial Forces in the south to the Horn of Talmoria peninsula in an attempt to regroup and resupply his troops with the new forces that have arrived. However with the Viceroy and High General Edwards both in the north, and the Imperial Forces failure at retaking Serpent pass Fort, the General could be walking into a death trap if he is unable to turn the tide in this quite surprise defeat against what many considered the greatest fight forces in Terra.

Yet there is a sliver of hope, for it is believed that with the aid of the Imperial Air Force, which as only lost a total of five planes to the rebels, and the Expeditionary Forces that is bound to come in time to help them, the Imperial Forces should be able to regain control in about a month or two.

Imperial Infrastructure Hit Hard by Guerilla attacks in the North, Delaying Movement of Counter-Attacks Planned in the South

The Imperial Forces in the Grand Duchy of Talmorschland suffered yet another set back in their plans to bring the Hanz Rebellion under a swift imperial end. Guerilla forces in the northern sections of the Duchy, which has for the most part been kept under control due to tight emergency laws that have been issued. However, the few rebel forces that have been able to move in the Northern areas have stroke a devastating blow to the Imperial War Machine that was just beginning to recover from the complete surprise of this rebellion that has made many of the Imperial Commander look like fools as they fail at getting the equipment and military forces where they need to be. Today they attacked the mass transit system that was to carry the much needed tanks to the southern parts of the duchy today, especial the Serpent Pass Fort.

The tanks had arrived with the forces from the HMS Iron Duke and the HMS Warspite, but had just recently regrouped with the forces the tank forces of the Duchy, which had been deployed in the attack to retake Serpent Pass Fort. With the tank forces now fully reinforced and the Military command finally in a state of order instead of chaos, High General Edwards had order all main attack forces to move south, and the tanks were to be transported south for the operation. However with the destruction of the rail system, the tanks will have to make the journey by driving which will take at least two to four days for them to reach. That is without any other attacks along the way breaking out.

The Imperial Forces have been made to look like fools again by a group of rebels that started out with nothing but spears and swords. Many experts are puzzled at how the Military has failed to get the situation under control and for that matter why and how they could let the South basically become the nation for the rebels to build their base in. This complete lack of skill has made many come to the conclusion that either it is the Imperial Commanders that are the ones that are failing this War or the rebels really do have some great mystical power that is helping and protecting them.

Following Luthori defeats in Talmorschland, due exclusively to poor command, Generals Edwards' and Wu Chin have both been releaved of their command and called back to Fort William for disciplinary hearings. Marshal Sir John Hodge has been named commander of the ground forces by the Admiral Sir David Hutchkinson. Witch-Hunter Brian Sorrom has also been sent to Talmorschland to organize the purging of northern part of the Duchy, along with Lft-Colonel Edward Savage. Imperial Enforcement and the inquisition have commandeered every law enforcement and security forces available in the north of the colony and have systematicaly eliminated any rebel forces or sympathizers encoutered. Death tolls have not been release, although the hanged bodies of those responsible for the destruction of the railroad could be seen lining the roads and there were even reports that the man believed to be the mastermind of the operation had been crucified, although none of them were confirmed.

Meanwhile, in the south of the country, brigadier general Steven Callander, the man responsible for ordering the attack on Serpant Pass Fort has been arrested and is facing court martial for disastrous command skills. Imperial troops under Marshal Hodge have recaptured lost territory and are once again at the gates of Serpent Pass Fort. The army has been ordered to stay at a safe distance from the fort while it is pounded by high altitude bombers and artillery, consistent with Luthori military tactics of massive damage for little losses.



The fort is expected to be utterly destroyed in the next few days. Imperial forces have not been ordered to take prisoners as bannersbearing the red Luthori cross superimposed with a skull have appeared all over the army camp. Imperial Forces in the Horn of Talmorschland peninsula have been ordered to stay put, protected by air support, while they regrou and prepare for the final assault on the southern slums once Serpant Pass is retaken.

OOC: The above, as well as this whole rebellion is only valid with majority consent of Luthori parties, which was not achieved at the beginning of this RP. Consent will be determined by a Diet vote and if it is given, I will continue Luthori operations as the appointed head of the military.
