Minister of Defense Stavros MetaxasMinister of Defense Stavros Metaxas then spoke live to press about the special forces and the exercise they endured:
I’d first like to start off this speech by saying thank you to the Hutorian SPECTRES and Marines who helped train our fresh recruits. Behind me are some of those fresh recruits. Yet now they are no longer fresh recruits. Now they are men ready to fight the toughest battles of Keymon ever calls upon them to do so. Yet they’re nowhere close to the readiness and professionalism we’d want them to be. Our ultimate goal for the Coastal Marines and Special Services Group is to match and become better than any other special force in the world. Our ultimate goal is to be prepared if we need our special forces and we want them to trump all others.
To the men and women who did not make it into the special forces, you did your best and you truly are great soldiers. However these special forces need the best of the best and we cannot slouch on our recruitment policies at all.
I’d like to thank the Hutorian government for letting us borrow there forces to assist with training ours and I’d like to wish our new special forces members luck on there long journey ahead in life.
