Minister-President announces massive infrastructure project

Noversk, Vallosta - Minister-President Visvaldis Ezernieks spoke today at a conference the day after New Years Day to speak about the new focus of the government which is rebuilding the aging infrastructure of Dolgavia. The Minister-President, joined by representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and representatives of the Dolgavian Investment Authority announced that the primary focus would be development of railroad infrastructure throughout the country, updating and continued renovation of the major ports and several major road projects. The Minister-President stated that they were in the planning stages but the Dolgavian government was working to split the work between 30% public and 70% private as a means to encourage more private companies to partake in infrastructure development.
The Dorvik-based Dorvish Development Bank already announced that any company that steps forward will be granted low-interest loans when applying for infrastructure-based loans, they are expected to loan out nearly 10b LOD according to reports. The Dolgavian Investment Authority has also announced several grants and low-interest loans in order to spur interest in the project. The Dolgavian government has already set aside 2b LOD on renovations for Noversk International Airport, Fort Karzonpils International Airport and Ebenzing International Airport which was taken from the budget of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
The infrastructure projects are expected to start in March, 4219 and are expected to take 5 years to finish, with an estimated completion date of March, 4224 with a possible extension of 1 year for unforseen circumstances. The Minister-President stated that he was optimistic that the projects would be completed on-time and the first were going to be undertaken in major cities such as Noversk, Fort Karzonpils and Ebenzing in order to alleviate economic problems within the city. The Minister-President noted that he has instructed the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport to work closely with companies so that they higher a majority of Dolgavian workers and that these workers are either unemployed or currently in low income jobs.
