Minister of Foreign Affairs condemns foundation of Majatran communist federation

Noversky, Vallosta - During the announcement of the Northern Defense Corporation the Minister of Foreign Affairs Agris Upeslacis spoke regarding the foundation of the Majatran Revolutionary Socialist Federation and condemned the supranational, communist and socialist federation calling it a "...defeat for freedom through Majatra. We condemn the foundation of such movements that seek to destroy the peaceful, democratic way of life of these sort of movements. Keris has had its own spat with the United Kerisian Socialist Republics and we cannot, and we will not ever standby and watch these sorts of movements rise up. We stand with Kazulia and Istalia in condemnation of the MRSF and we plan to work with allies in the nations that are affected to work against them. We cannot permit the rise of militant communism and socialism again.

Dolgavian General Commander meets with Kazulian Chief of Staff
December, 4216

Noversk, Vallosta - General Commander Lieutenant General Arijs Freibergs, Minister of Defense Andulis Mazkalnins, Deputy General Commander Major General Vilhelmas Vinciunas and the entire Senior General Command (all heads of the branches of the Dolgavian military) met with the Kazulian delegation that included the Chief of Staff and his cadre. The meeting focused primarily on the role of the Kazulian Royal Defense Force and what the relationship between the two nations would mean, primarily in the field of technical defense cooperation as well as using the expertise of the Royal Defense Force in re-building the armed forces of Dolgavia. The two week visit is expected also to focus on the development of military and security cooperation through the Northern Council and the recently announced Northern Defense Corporation.

Prior to the arrival of the Kazulian delegation the Minister of Foreign Affairs Agris Upeslacis and Minister President Visvaldis Ezernieks announced that they would be taking a trip to Skalm, the capital of Kazulia to deepen cooperation between the two nations including more formal diplomatic relations. The foreign meeting is expected to take place after the defense-related meetings finish up.

Central bank chief announces International Development and Stability Bank

Noversk, Vallosta - Bank of Dolgavia Governor Valentins Kovals announced today outside of the Bank of Dolgavia building the formation of a sort of central bank of central banks, meant to oversee monetary policies as well as help attempt to regulate some of the harmful lending policies that lead to the economic collapse in the early 4200's. The bank was first proposed by the Dorvish representative to the World Congress and after several discussions with the representatives from the Federal Bank of Dorvik as well as financial advsiors from the von Desidier family who have largely represented Dorvish financial institutions. The Dolgavian Investment Authority and the National Reserve Fund of the Bank of Dolgavia will invest 2.5b LOD each into the foundation of the bank, which will have a wide arrange of duties including regulating monetary policy, providing loans and investments to developing economies as well as other strategic loans. The Bank of Dolgavia appointed Osvaldas Judvytis, a member of the Board of Directors as the representative to the new bank and instructed Osvaldas to get the bank up and running.

First listing of companies on the Noversk Stock Exchange

Noversk, Vallosta - Founded in July 4215 the Noversk Stock Exchange (NSE) a series of programs were setup to test and develop systems in order to protect, manage and permit investment into the NSE. The NSE is allowing companies to be publicly traded for the first time, previously the NSE permitted investment into 5 categories: Medical and Health Care, Light Industry, Heavy Industry, Technologies and Science and Foreign Currencies. Now, as of January, 4218 the first joint stock companies are being permitted to list on the Noversk Stock Exchange. The NSE is an independently managed but state overseen company and it maintains its own Management and Supervisory Board. The NSE officially became a member of the International Exchange Commission on February 1st, 4218.

Coalition shaky, government continues on
December 4218

Noversk, Vallosta - Minister-President Visvaldis Ezernieks spoke today after celebrating the Party of Regions victory in the Saeima elections. The Party of Regions won 164 seats in the Saeima and increased their overall power within the nation but the New Progressive Party, a relatively inactive and new political party managed to capture the majority of the Saeima with 175 seats. The Party of Regions announced that they would continue their cooperation with the Democratic Conservatives Conservatives and that the current government would remain in place. Grand Duke Felikss I announced his support for the election earlier today and stated that the democracy in Dolgavia was essential to the recent success of the economy and the nation. The Grand Duke even went as far as to thank the current government for their recent contributions to the Dolgavian people.

Minister-President announces massive infrastructure project
January, 4219

Noversk, Vallosta - Minister-President Visvaldis Ezernieks spoke today at a conference the day after New Years Day to speak about the new focus of the government which is rebuilding the aging infrastructure of Dolgavia. The Minister-President, joined by representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and representatives of the Dolgavian Investment Authority announced that the primary focus would be development of railroad infrastructure throughout the country, updating and continued renovation of the major ports and several major road projects. The Minister-President stated that they were in the planning stages but the Dolgavian government was working to split the work between 30% public and 70% private as a means to encourage more private companies to partake in infrastructure development.

The Dorvik-based Dorvish Development Bank already announced that any company that steps forward will be granted low-interest loans when applying for infrastructure-based loans, they are expected to loan out nearly 10b LOD according to reports. The Dolgavian Investment Authority has also announced several grants and low-interest loans in order to spur interest in the project. The Dolgavian government has already set aside 2b LOD on renovations for Noversk International Airport, Fort Karzonpils International Airport and Ebenzing International Airport which was taken from the budget of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.

The infrastructure projects are expected to start in March, 4219 and are expected to take 5 years to finish, with an estimated completion date of March, 4224 with a possible extension of 1 year for unforseen circumstances. The Minister-President stated that he was optimistic that the projects would be completed on-time and the first were going to be undertaken in major cities such as Noversk, Fort Karzonpils and Ebenzing in order to alleviate economic problems within the city. The Minister-President noted that he has instructed the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport to work closely with companies so that they higher a majority of Dolgavian workers and that these workers are either unemployed or currently in low income jobs.

Dolgavian Defense Ministry wraps up foreign tour with stop in Dorvik

Haldor, Kordusia - Minister of Defense Andulis Mazkalnins, General Commander Lt. Gen. Arijs Freibergs and an assorted cadre of military defense officials, defense technical officers and leading military policy experts arrived in the Dorvish capital of Haldor earlier this week for a meeting with the Dorvish Ministry of Defense and the Minister of Defense Hendrietta Schroeder. The cadre from the Dorvish Armed Forces included the Inspector-General of the Armed Forces and various other defense officials, including the various Inspector's of the Dorvish Armed Forces branches. The Dolgavian Defense Ministry started their foreign trip in Zardugal where it is rumored that they signed a multi-billion LOD deal regarding the procurement of defense equipment, including a sizeable portion of naval vessels to aid the fledgling Dolgavian Naval Forces. The Dolgavian Ministry of Defense has been tight lipped regarding the presence of Dolgavian defense officials in Zardugal over the past several weeks, it is reported that the arms deal was brokered alongside members of the Zardic military which could potentially serve as a means to bolster the presence of Dolgavia in the Northern hemisphere.

The arrival of the Dolgavian Minister of Defense and the General Commander in Dorvik signaled new ties with their Dorvish counterparts, the Dolgavian Armed Forces has been spearheading efforts to rebuild itself over the course of the past decade. The rumor is that the Dorvish Ministry of Defense reached out to the Dolgavian Ministry of Defense and wished to cooperate on several matters, including technical cooperation and the development of mutual defense ties.

Chief of Government Elmars Jumala announces defense deals
May, 4220

Noversk, Vallosta Region - Chief of Government Elmars Jumala spoke today at a press conference where he announced that the Minister-President and the Minister of Defense had signed an arms deal with Zardic-based Venetio Aeronautics Corporation for a multi-billion LOD arms deal that will include hundreds of aircraft. The deal was worked out in 4219 and deliveries have already begun in January 4220, the exact composition of the arms deals has yet to be announced but Chief of Government Jumala stated that it would be announced at a later date. The rumors that the Dolgavian military was shopping around to build their respective capabilities were true the Chief of Government confirmed. Jumala stated that deals were currently being worked out with the Dorvish to see if purchase of several ships could be managed.

Jumala also announced that a deal had been reached with Konstandia Bay Maritime Corporation to produce ships for the Dolgavian Naval Forces and technical cooperation was to be later announced on a new project between the Zardic defense companies and the Dolgavian defense companies.

Minister-President condemns KCL attack, promises justice.

Noversk, Vallosta - Minister-President Visvaldis Ezernieks and Chief of Government Elmars Jumala spoke today regarding the attack by the Kerisian Communist League in Trigunia. The Minister-President condemned the attack and called for justice to be meted out to the Kerisian Communist League. Chief of Government Elmars Jumala noted that the Ministry of the Interior was working with the Foreign Intelligence Bureau to ensure that anyone with ties to the KCL that had entered into Dolgavia is going to be properly vetted. The KCL has been incredibly active in the past several years and the Dolgavian government has called on greater cooperation from Kerisian countries to ensure that the Kerisian Communist league does not surge again.

Party of Regions passes leadership
January, 4238

Noversk, Vallosta - The Party of Regions headquarters was crowded today with reporter, politicians and security officials. The Party of Regions announced on January 2nd that the Party of Regions leadership would be changing. High profile meetings between current Minister-President Visvaldis Ezernieks and several others were conducted from the Party of Regions headquarters, the announcement was given that brother to the prominent Port of Rosenstock owner and Dolgavian noble family, Friedrich Augustus von Heusmann, was given the position of Chairman of the Party of Regions. This is also likely to meant that Friedrich Augustus von Heusmann will be taking over the position of Minister-President of the entire country. This move is widely seen as a means to capture the popularity that the Party of Regions experienced in the recent snap election following the collapse of the major opposition of the Democratic Socialist Party. The recent election saw the Party of Regions defeat weak challengers in the Democratic Front, the Socialist Party and the Pan-Kerisian Coalition.

Rumors have circulated that the Grand Duke of Dolgavia, the first since the late 1900's is in poor health. Despite the fact that the Grand Duke has made several appearances in the past several months, rumors have circulated that the Grand Duke is in poor health at the age of 77.
