Wolfgang Petermann Airforce Base Finished on Island of Karzon - Dolgavian Pilots To Start Continued Training Immediatly

The new state of the art Unionfighters finally have a home on the island of Kizon. Their new base shall be in perfect position to guard the ocean passage between Dolgavia and Loduman. Dorish Contractors and Dolgavian companies worked together to create the facility which will serve Dolgavia to protect shipping lanes and commerce entering and leaving Dolgavia.The base cost over 300 million DND's to create. Over 20 Unionfighters are inactive condition as pilots continue to train in Dorvik. Over 30 slightly older Unionfighters are in Air Force storage for immediate deployment if needed. Also, this base shall house Dolgavian Meteorological Aircraft directed by the National Weather Service. The base will be the home of the first class of pilots that graduated from Dorvik the 21st squadron. They will need more training and will spend the next few months flying over the ocean and around Kizon getting aquainted will the landscape and landmarks. They are active once they arrive. They shall also conduct several tests of going supersonic. This is something that Dolgavian pilots did little of before being retrained and so Dorvik and Dolgavian instructors continue to teach these young pilots the full capabilities of their aircraft.

They will also have the older 1st and 2nd and 4rth F-16 squadrons to back them up at the base. They were tranferred from the Aikums Air Force Base. This is the first airforce base on Kizon to be built in some time as the former Walter Peerman Base was shut down over 50 years ago. Before this is military aircraft had to land on civilian runways. This air base will significantly improve defence on the island of Kizon as well. The base will in a few years house 3 squadrons of Unionfighters and 3 squadrons of older F-16's as well as scout helicopters and Weather Aircraft. These will be active in a few years once more hangers and facilities are built. This marks the first major completion of the grants that Dorvik lended to Dolgavia.

Kalistan Delegation Visits Dolgavia to Open Further Trade Between Dolgavia and Kalistan

The start of the new year brings major trade talks between Kalistan and Dolgavia. The Kalistani delegation has not appeared in Aikums for over 200 years despite the two nations being reasonably close to each other. The two dignitaries talked about increased trading between Kalistan and Dolgavia and also increased crack downs on ODEN smuggling ships in the region. The Prime Minister told the delegation that he will not back down on sinking these ships as they come in from Kalistan and elsewhere.

The two nations also talked about mutual security because of their close proximity. The main topic of discussion however was trade. The Kalistan officials desired Dolgavian raw material such as aluminum and bauxite. Free Trade was thrown out as it is the best interest in both parties to keep to fair trade instead. The hope for both countries it to encourage trade between them and see more trading between the two nations. The President of Kalistan also visited several Dolgavian sites including the Royal Palace where he met with the King and Queen and also was shown the new Konigsbahn and infrastructure projects.

Dolgavia Completes First Dry Dock


The New Dry Dock in Dolgariaopolis is the first of 2 dry dock to be built in Dolgavia as part of its naval expansion program.

The new dockyard facility in Dolgariapolis at the Dolgariapolis Naval Base has unveiled a new dock. This is the first large scale dry dock Dolgavia has ever produced. It is modeled after Drydocks of Dorvish design which were used to make Dorvik's navy. This drydock will be able to repair as well as build new ships in it. The dry dock was built by Seagram Industries Dolgavia and Dorvish contractors. The dry dock was launched in a small ceremony in which the Governor of Lirath. The Prime Minister would later commend the workers in a speech later that day

Today ladies and gentlemen finally, finally Dolgavia can start to create its own naval ships. For years we have had to rely on foreign naval powers to provide Dolgavia with ships. Well now Dolgavia I can proudly say it is independent, we can finally build naval ships ourselves. This marks a new age in Dolgavian economics and naval history.

Dolgavia Factories and Heavy Industry Begin to Reopen Across Dolgavia


Dolgavia Falls Paper Mill Reopens after 15 years of being out of business.

After a decade and a half of financial struggle the people of Dolgavia Falls a industrial district outside of Aikums got a long anticipated Christmas present. The Long Time Paper Mill on the river next to the falls was reopening after filing for bankruptcy shortly before the financial crisis. Most of the townsfolk work at the paper mill and it is the lifeblood of this community. The paper mill was renown in the area for producing paper for the past several hundred years. However before the economy crashed the mill also couldn't stay afloat. The mills former director Adam Mueller told us how it happened

For years it became apparent that the mill was in financial trouble. It was becoming cheaper for foreign paper to come in rather then to produce it domestically. However when the country was starting to recover from the depression and foreign help arrived it became possible to make paper again. So when I got the letter this Christmas asking of I wanted to return I gladly took my job of foreman back.

The econmic upswing is seeing all kinds of improvements in all sectors of Dolgavia's markets. Exports are up 300% then they were 10 years ago, the Dolgvian currency is stable due to backing in gold standard. The Dolgavian economy is experiencing innovations such as more faster Dorvik computers, and Dorvik companies working with Dolgvian companies are really jump starting this economic boom.



Also in another town in the Kizon Region a small procession of workers enter the massive Red Oak Lumber Mill (Sarkanā ozola kokmateriālu dzirnavas
). For 25 years this large mill stood empty as the Gunner and Sons Lumber Company had to scale back operations in the area. Now the timber company is hiring workers because demand for Dolgavian Timber is on the rise. 20-30% business taxes were the culprit that put this timber mill out of operation. Now the business taxes are at 2% as the Dolgvian Government is letting the Dolgvian markets and economy rise out of the slump. Over 500 workers were reemployed at this factory alone. This is the case for all of Dolgvia. The unemployment rate has dropped from 22% during the recession to now only 4%. New machinery and grants from the Dolgvian and Dorvik governments made this a possibility. As Dolgvia looks to expand trade and exports to Kalistan and beyond look for a even bigger upswing in the economy.

Dolgavia Welcomes Sekouo Delegation for diplomatic Talks

Dolgavia warmly welcomed Sekouo's top government officials yesterday for diplomatic talks. The new government in Sekouo is attempting to rebuild that country from years of neglect and mismanagement under previous administrations. The Prime Minister and Sekouo's Prime Minister Date Kanezane met in the Dolgavian Captital building to discuss mutual trade and the opening of Dolgavia and Sekouo's economies. The Prime Minister layed out plans to encourage Dolgavian buisness to export raw materials as Sekouo is attempting to rebuild their economy. The Prime Minister spoke to the nation announcing his new plan to help Sekouo through the exportation of raw materials. Also they plan to start Sekouoan-Dolgavian research projects into more efficient ways at producing electronics a field that Dolgavia is just beginning to dive into.

First I would like to Thank the Sekouo Govenment for coming so far north in February, I know it is quite cold. I would like to thank you for your great ideas, for your plans and for your friendly attitude towards me and my cabinet. Dear Dolgavians Sekouo is alot like us. They are rebuilding, they are attempting to grow and we can help them. We may not be able to give billions in grants but we are able to trade and to give them what their companies need. Dolgavian timber, coal, bauxite, aluminum, all of these are needed in Sekouo. I am proud to stand with Sekouo and to be the first government to help them rebuild their country. I hope we can keep the momentum going and that we can stay good trade partners and allies for years to come.

King Heinrich Abdicates his son Crown Prince Sigismund I to take throne.

King Heinrich has abdicated to let his son who just turned 23 take the throne. Albert Sigismund has just concluded his studies at the Dolgavia Military Academy his parents 40 year rule saw its ups and downs but they lead the country as it took a turn for the worse and then the past half a decade which has brought great prosperity. As the century ends Dolgavia is primed and ready to leap into the 48 century with the greatest economy and one of the most stable governments in recent history. At the helm will be the new king.

Dolgavia Completes First 5 Hydroelectric Dams - Begins Path Towards Renewable Energy

The Dolgavian Government and Dolgavia Hidroelektrostacija have unveiled 5 brand new hydroelectric dams along 4 rivers in Dolgavia. These power stations are mainly Dolgavian designed with inspirations from foreign hydroelectric power plants like in Lourenne and elsewhere. These 5 dams are all located in mountainous forested areas where their impact will not affect boat traffic. They have also created 5 reservoirs.

The first dam located on the Reiner River in Lirath is a 389 foot or 119 meters it will hold back the new Reiner Reservoir. The dam will generate 159 MW or enough power to power over 159,000 homes with only two generators.

The Second Dam is the Skunkss River Dam located on the Skunkss River in Hodari. This dam is 250 feet of (65 meters) high but produces 165 MW which is enough to power 165 thousand homes using two generators.

The Third Dam is located on the North Fork of the Hirved River in the province of Lirath . It is called the Upper Hirved Dam. It is 540 feet (160 m) tall and has 4 generators that produce 460 MW or it powers 460,000 houses in Dolgavia

The fourth dam is located 40 kms from the Upper Hivred Dam is called the Lower Hivred Dam. The dame is 323 feet high (98 meters) and is made with concrete. This dam has 3 generators and can produce 240 MW of power that powers 240,000 houses


Lower Hirved Dam

The Fifth Dam is located on the Alpu River in the province of Kirzon Valley this dam is an earthen dam that is 235 feet high (71 m). It has 2 generators and will produce 134MW or 134 thousand homes.




These dams will provide Dolgavia with power that will last for years to come. Also Dolgavian engineering in the hydroelectric sector has drastically improved and these dams were tested by foreign organizations and proven to be safe and efficient. This is a sure sign of things to come as the Prime Minister expects to visit the Reiner Dam after the new year. Power will be cheaper for customers across Dolgavia as hydroelectric power is cheaper and more efficient then coal. The move to more renewable energy is another step in the Prime Minister's revitalization project that has really changed Dolgavia in the past decade. Let us hope that as we enter the new century more projects and successes continue to shape Dolgavia.

Dolgavia welcomes Luthorian officials to Dolgavia.

Duke David Weston the Prime Minister of Luthori and some top Luthorian officials visited Dolgavia to end diplomatic sanctions placed on Luthori after Communists took over. The talks went well and the two nations agreed to trade more and to get closer. The two Prime Ministers talked about the importance of the monarchy and of threats coming anti-monarchist nations. The Prime Minister of Luthori talked extensively about the TMTA of the Terra Military and Trade Alliance and asked Dolgavia to join. The Dolgavian Prime Minister then asked about possible free trade agreements and the possibility of heightened Dolgvian raw materials going to Luthori.

These talks have been quite eventful. We now understand the situation that Lady Weston and Lord Weston are now dealing with and we support them in their quest of keeping democracy in Luthori. We support them in this and we stand with them as the struggle for the Luthorian people.

Dolgavia Begins Super Sonic Speed Drills off Lodamun's Coast


The 23rd Fighter Squadron and 21st Fighter Squadron spent 3 days testing speeds of above Mach 1.5 over the Anantonese Ocean

In heightening tensions between Lodamun and Dolgavia the Dolgvian Royal Air force conducted supersonic drills over the lower Antanonese Ocean. Pilots practiced several maneuvers including barrel rolls and switching from different speeds. They stayed in International Airspace the whole duration of the exercise however they weren't shy of flying at 12 miles out for a large portion of the exersizes. The first squadron to be created (the 21st) and the 23rd and 24th squadron all participated and over 100 Unionfighters were involved in the exersizes.

General Vladamir Blokeo commented on the exersizes by saying

We will not put up with an a nation that endorses slavery bullying us around. We are bigger, stronger and quite frankly we actually have modern technology and don't act like we live in the Middle Ages. When Loduman decides to threaten us with international sanctions we sill not back down and we they will soon realize that we have technology that can go mach 2. They are biting off more then they can shew and I hope they can see this.

The Air Force ended the exersizes after 4 days in the Antanonese Ocean and they were a smashing success.

Prime Minister Resigns Passes Torch to Foreign Minister

Prime Minister announced his resignation from his position today. He has served as the Prime Minister since 4678 when he took the office of Prime Minister. Throughout his career is can be remembered for his many achievements.

He lead Dolgavia through a Bloody Civil War
He helped to pass the Konigsbahn which improved travel and transportation throughout Dolgavia.
He got closer to Dorvik and helped to build up the Dolgavian armed forces
He helped deregulate the economy and expanded the Dolgavian economy to many countries.
He lead the push to create hydroelectric power stations.

His current projects he leaves to Marika Pihlak as she will bring the current projects such as responses to Lodamun and closer relations to Kazulia and the rest of Dovani.

König Heinrich Naval Base Completed - Prime Minister Addresses Dolgavian and Dorvish Workers who Built the Base

The project promised at the beginning of the Lipmaa administration has finally completed. The last oil tanks were completed and finished on the 1st of the month and one week later the Base officially opened. The base will include over 12 large oil tanks that will fuel Dolgavian and allied ships. 5 dry docks with 2 that are capable of repairing cruisers and 1 capable of aircraft carrier sized ships. The base also includes an airfield which will house 2 F-16 squadrons. However assistance can come from the nearby Wolfgang Petermann Airforce Base. The naval stations also includes a radar component which includes Dorvik radar units bought from Dorvik. They will be able to detect incoming aircraft, missiles and surface warships.

Today is a proud moment for Dolgavia. What only a decade ago seemed impossible has now become reality. I can officially tell you here and now that this is not a dream anymore but a fact. We have built a full naval base to not only meet the needs for our expanding fleet but for allied fleets as well. We are able to accommodate and provide shelter for allied fleets should they need it. We now have detailed defenses for our coasts and can detect incoming threats by sea or by air. We are becoming a nation that will have a place in the international community. We are becoming a nation that will strive for peace, democracy, capitalism and safety across Terra. We are becoming valuable trade partners and our markets are expanding bit by bit. Finally Dolgavia has a peaceful administration. Finally Dolgavians can be assured that we are developing as a nation. So as we welcome this newest great achievement, I ask you to celebrate and to thank anyone you know who worked on this project. I would like to Thank the 60 or so Dolgavian businesses that helped get this project done. I would also like to thank the Dorvish businesses and the Dorvik government for supporting us in this project. If at any time you or any of our allies need to use this base you are welcome to do so. Be proud of your country. Be proud of your culture and be proud of yourselves Dolgavians.
