Dolgava Sends Simtgades vētra to FOMAT Vlll With Their Smash Hit: Our Changing World

Dolgavia has sent the band Simtgades vētra to FOMAT Vlll. The band's smash hit Our Changing World was number 1 on Dolgavian Charts for 2 weeks straight before being toppled over, however the song went back to #1 2 weeks after that and stayed there for many more weeks. The song has sold millions of copies and put the band on the map. When Dolgavian voters decided to pick the FOMAT winners, they voted for Simtgades vētra, the judges agreed even denying the famous legend pop star Viktorija Keblyte. The bands song shows that rock music has once again taken top spot across Dolgavian charts and culture once again and that pop, still relevant has taken a back seat.

At a dinner party last night the Queen attended and announced her pregnancy, the Queen being 39 years old decided that she needed to have children soon and she did. She presented her baby bump and told the audience that it was indeed a boy. For the monarchy a possible crisis has been averted however the Queen also hinted that this is not going to be her first and last child. Last month she had gone to Utembo to announce the good news to her sister and to meet with her at the same time, this revelation has also been discovered. For the monarchy and Dolgavia as a whole this is exciting news! For pro-monarchist supporters in major cities of Aikums, large groups gathered to pray to Eliyahu for a safe delivery and a safe birth of a son. The Queen did not disclose names of the child however she will probably either follow tradition by using a past monarchs name or use a new name, that is up to the Queen and the King to decide.

Parades and celebrations filled the streets of many major cities as church bells rang and Hosian churches scheduled services on this day. This follows Dolgavian tradition ever since the Dolgavian Empire, when a monarch is born Hosian services are held that day, marches, parades and other celebrations are customary. The stock market also closed today as this is a holiday for Dolgavia. In bars and pubs men drank to the new prince. This however will seem only like a small spectacle for the 3 day long celebration once the Prince is born. This is only the first of many celebrations of the new Prince of Dolgavia,

Dolgava has increased its international friendship and presence today by signing a major free trade agreement and friendship alliance with the Kingdom of Utembo. The two nations being on other sides of Terra from each other but close in ideology, both being monarchist. The talks started with the Queen's visit back in February and from there the ambassador to Utembo Tālrits Romanovskis met with Utembo leadership and Prime Minister Lia Hergenröther spent many hours speaking with the the government of Utembo. The talks continued as both sides arranged a free trade agreement. This was arranged and decided upon weeks ago. However the deal was not done.

After much talk Dolgavia and Utembo agreed upon a friendship and alliance deal as well. Both armies will be able to work together and Dolgava will protect Utembo and vice versa if either country is attacked. The countries will also trade information back and forth that is relevant to both nations.

Prime Minister Lia Hergenröther spoke about the trade and friendship deal to Parilament today saying

Today as you all are well aware of my government has signed a trade and diplomatic alliance deal with the Kingdom of Utembo. To elaborate on this deal I would like to first congratulate the diplomats in Dolgava and Utembo that made this deal possible. I will be visiting our friends in Utembo soon. Secondly this deal is very important to Dolgava and Utembo. Our economy will be able to go to Utembo without much barriers blocking our companies and products. This will benefit both Utembo and Dolgavia for the better. We will also have access to Utembo's products as well, lowering prices of goods and services at home here in Dolgavia. For both of our countries it marks another link being made in the international scene. Utembo and Dolgavia and two entirely different nations, cultures and people coming together in peace and friendship. Together we can work on things using our unique backgrounds for the betterment of Dolgava and Utembo. I am very pleased with this deal. It opens a new chapter in Dolgavian international relations and it marks a new beginning of East and West friendship, for too long East and West relations have been scarred, now it is time for a change and I am proud to lead it

Treaty with Utembo

Today marks a special day, the Queen of Dolgava has given birth to a 10lb boy who is name Aleksandras. He was born at 4:54 am at St. Ruth's Hospital in Aikums. The baby is perfectly healthy and will be staying the night at the hospital. The palace announced that his name was Aleksandras and that he is named after the Dolgavian saint named Aleksandras. He will be the first Dolgavian prince to be named this in the House of Rothingren-Traugott's history. The Royal Palace's statement said the following

Today on July 12th of the year of our Lord 4873, Crown Prince Aleksandras of The Königreich of Dolgavia has been born. Mother and child are both healthy and in good spirits and they both are resting at this time. The Prince was 10 lbs when he was born and he is in good health. We welcome all Dolgavans to celebrate this tremendous occasion as we celebrate new life and a new future leader of Dolgava.

Senior members of government have wished the Queen and the new Prince best wishes as crowds gathered in the streets once again to celebrate the birth of a prince. To think that the future of Dolgava has just come into the world is hard to believe but for Dolgavia the future is now, literately. For now Dolgavia gets to spend 3 days celebrating, drinking eating and getting together with family as is customary when a Crown Prince/Princess is born.

Dolgavian Defense Minister Karine Cordonnier announced that the Dolgavian Navy will be doing major exersizes in the Eastern Mad Dog Ocean near to Dolgava. This follows the completion of the modernization of the Dolgavian navy which includes the carrier SMS Hodari. The ships have had complete overhauls and now are on par with many navies across Terra. Now for step 2 and that is developing trained personal to man these ships. These exersizes mark the first time in decades Dolgava has entered the Mad Dog Ocean in force and marks a step toward in Dolgava's development towards a truly modern formidable fighting force. According to the Foreign Minister the navy will be practicing deploying depth charges, using radar guidance to launch ship to ship missiles and sailing as a fleet and in formation. They will be specializing in Ship to Ship and anti submarine warfare for the time being.

While this is happening SMS Hodari will be launching attacks using Unionfighters to strike a old tanker ship bought by the navy from a Dolgavian Oil Distributer. The location of this ship will create a badly needed reef in the Eastern Mad Dog Ocean and help the local fish populations. Leading the series of attacks is Young Admiral Sean Ramius will be directing the whole operation from the flag ship SMS Grand Duchess Evelyn l, light patrol craft will use radar to circle the formation and make sure that shipping and keep civilian and foreign ships out of the area. Ramius has almost 15 years of experience captaining the SMS Lipmaa a escort ship that has escorted Dolgavian merchant chips carrying valuable cargo across the globe.

After a naval review last August it was decided to carry out major fleet actions to retrain the Dolgavan fleet once again. Countries in the area of operations have been alerted to this development and according to the navy it will not cause any interference. The exersizes will go for 2 weeks before the fleet turns back home. Among the other tests being conducted, several state of the art radio technologies will be tested and they will test communications between the mainland and the fleet will be to find out which new method works the best. Communications for these missions are vital as Dolgava will need good communication to operate effectively. These tests are vital for Dolgava and their forces as they move throughout the Mad Dog Ocean. Also Dolgava will be testing a new encryption system as well to keep military traffic out of the hands of foreign powers. This new system involves VoIP to communicate using

The Defense Minister also answered questions probed at her involving the recent Dolgavian Endralonian clashes in the World Congress. However despite popular belief these exersizes are not in retaliation. She said,

This will be twisted by many media outlets I can assure you but I will promise you that this has nothing to do with Endralon. They are not a threat to Dolgavian sovereignty. We know about the situation on the other side of the Mad Dog Ocean and we assure them and our allies that we are not creating a conflict. They may do as they please and we can do what we want. These exersizes are to modernize and train the Dolgavan Navy so it becomes a reputable and formidable, it is tool used to defend the peaceful people of Dolgava and will continue to be used for as long as Dolgava exists

Other exersizes will include cold water survival training as men will be dropped from a aircraft into the icy water and under strict supervision to keep them from drowning will be rescued. All of these tests will train the men of the Dolgavan Navy to be able to be ready for everything that may come at them. This of course being vital for a well trained navy.

For Dolgava this marks the entrance back onto the world stage as its military with a lot of work will be able to deploy to protect Dolgava effectively and decisively. For the navy it will be a starting point towards more involvement in the Mad Dog Ocean in the future, which is a good prospect for Dolgava.

Historical Film Konstanja Breaks Dolgavian Box Office Records, Becomes Smash Hit

The Dolgavian Historical Film Konstanja has gone from an average selling Dolgavan Film to a smash hit. It has grossed over 3 million DOLS and has sold well in its its first day. The low cost budget film which sits at around 2 and a half hours catelogs the life of Queen Konstanja from a child to before her forced abdication. She is a well known and beloved Queen in Dolgava's history and this film takes her life and her struggles as Queen through many conflicts internal and international. The Dolgavan Actress Astrid Boka has taken the role as Queen Konstanja while Dolgavan Movie Star Arvo Polis has taken the role as her husband Prine Timothy. Legendary actor George Perot makes a cameo appearance as Prime Minister Olafs Palter. Young Actor Johan Williamstriver plays Prime Minister Joris Ulke.

The plot follows Konstanja's early life and then her early adult hood in the first few minutes, it then transferred to Konstanja's first meeting with Prince Timothy and their courtship that follows. Then the story shifts to Konstanja's carefree glamorous life as Crown Princess, traveling the world and meeting dignitaries. Then the many talks she had with here mother Queen Anna Elizebete ll played by Actress Kaarin Vitsut. Finally the decision is made to abdicate and at the young age of 27. Then the film dives into the chaos of the coronation and later that year marriage. The rest of the film follows her tenure as Queen, ending when she has found her purpose as Queen and as a diplomat for Dolgava.

Critics call the film a breath of fresh air and many welcome a historical film devoted to Dolgava. The film has done extremely well in Dolgava and in foreign populations of Dolgavians as well. The movie has already broken several Dolgavian film records as the most watched Dolgavian film on Day 1 and many more. Astrid has already been nominated as best actress however this will be decided later this year. Here at the Freie Presse our movie experts have given this film a 8.8/10 because several historical inaccuracies exist in it. However we encourage those interested to watch the film in theaters. It is a true masterpiece!

Chaos broke out in Parliament today as the Opposition formally grew buy ten fold. The former opposition lead by 12 representatives were independents however during the daily session of Parliament, over 90 Dolgovas konservatīvā partija bolted across the floor. Lead by MP from a suburb of Dolgavaopolis Jaanus Kapp. The situation took place after the Prime Minister announced more nationalization of the automotive industry that the government is scheduling to take place early next year. Jaanus and others in his new opposition party believe these measures are not going far enough and that conservative moral values are wrong. He now leads a faction of the party that is more conservative economically but more liberal for Social issues.

Political scholar Angelika Kivi wrote today to the Freie Presse that

You are seeing what happens when one party and one leader sits in leadership for a long time, either they are liked by their party or the party of a fraction of it bolts. That is what you have seen today. To think that the conservatives have never had this is amazing. To think that no other Prime Minister has ever been bolted on since this party has been in leadership is shocking. Now the PM has to compete, compete against an ideology that is appealing to many people. Big business and social groups can both rally behind this new political opposition and we may see an upset in the future. For now the PM and her party should act fast to keep this from running more throughout the party, their actions and the actions of the opposition will shape the future I am certain of it.

We cannot agree more, the actions that will take place in the coming days will shape the future of the country, for Dolgava this day is historic, in good and bad ways depending on which side of the coin you are on. However one thing is certain, one party government is now gone!

The University of Aikums will be hosting the first Terran Geologic Conference. The conference is where the top minds in the field of Geology will meet together to discuss real world issues in Geology and recent findings. Live seminars will take place every day of the conference as well. The University of Aikums, is hosting the conference to better gain support in the field of Geology. Dolgava has spent millions of DOLS studying Geology because of the major volcanic activity on the peninsula. Many Dolgavan specific topics will include the history of "ghost volcanoes" [*reference vid] in Dolgava. Ghost Volcanoes being stratovolcanoes that have been extinct and have decayed but their lava flows have outlived them. Other topics will include the stability of the strata located on Mt. Rithio in Northern Dolgava and how scientists think it may collapse. Also a seminar from renown Geologist Phd Wolfgang Fildlomeyer will discuss the geology of the Keris and especially the coastal regions and how this affects wildlife and tides.


New Thermal Maps can detect the exact makeup of subduction zones this can lead to major developments on Earthquakes

Scientists and Professors from other top Universities in Terra especially the University of Delaune in Lourenne and the University of Nikutabi from Tropica will be doing many seminars from their top scientists as well. Some of the broad topics discussed will be, the further advancements in detecting major earthquakes, something many Geologists across Terra have been working hard at for many, many years. New breakthroughs in the internet have made detection to the masses easier however many challenges, especially discoveries made to guessing when the next earthquake can strike, makes it a science still very much in its infancy. Several Dolgavian and Lourennian Geologists are leading discussions on a broad topic including Terra friendly mining and the breakthroughs made at extracting and processing ores safely and sustainably. Also Geologists from Tropica will be discussing breakthroughs in plate tectonic research and new thermal imaging which could lead to new exciting developments on our understanding of the plates.

The conference will be going on for several weeks at the end of August and will see many Geologic enthusiasts from all over Terra and just those who are interested in science in general. No events of this kind have ever been done and for a field that is so important for Terra and for us to understand this conference will surely shed new light on this field. Director of the event Dr. Nikodemas Kukutis said that he hopes this event can take place every few years so that Geology awareness and cooperation spreads throughout all of Terra. Plans for the next Geologic Conference will be on the top of his mind as soon as this conference is over.

The former Prince of Aikums and soon to be King of Hutori received one last parting ceremony yesterday at his former residence in Aikums. The ceremony was held by the Archbishop of Aikums and involved the removing of former Prince Alberts title as Duke of Aikums, a title held by the second eligible adult in line for the Dolgavian throne behind the Crown Prince/Princess. Albert will have a new name in Hutori becoming William. However he will gain the titles of Duke of Karzon and retain Prince of Dolgava. However he will gain many, many titles as he transfers to a new country and a new monarchy.

The Queen of Dolgava wished him well as the two kept a close connection especially after the death of Svena's older sister the former Crown Princess, Kristina and the marriage of Princess Cecilie to King Ratna across the planet. Svena's connection to family members had gotten less and less and so she turned to her cousin, Albert. She said in a speech today that

I have gotten to know my cousins a lot and I have to say that they are some of the nicest people to walk this planet. They listen, care and have respect for everyone. They are also patriotic to their ancestors and I know that William will do a great job. He is a leader and has faithfully done his duty as Duke of Aikums, a title held for millennia by many Princes in Dolgava. I hereby wish Prince Albert, soon to be King William the best and I hope that Hutori and Dolgava become good friends as the course of time continues!
