President launches tirade against Istalia for outlandish claims

Protestors outside of the Istalian embassy in al-Haliya

al-Haliya, An Namer Governorate - President Tayyib al-Kaba launched into a tirade before the assembled Council of the Republic and accused the Istalian government, namely the Blocco della Sinistra and their now outgoing government, about attempting to paint Ahmadi's as the enemy. It is reported that on the floor of the National Assembly of the Empire, Minister of the Interior Esterina Boccia alluded to the recent political assassination of Populist leader Giusto Zani as a front for dissent so that Solentia could somehow exercise annexation over Istalia. News broke from the Supreme Ahmadi Council's own newspaper, the "Daily Information" about the alleged speech on the floor of the legislature of Istalia and shortly after being sent across social media, including Tweeter, a popular social media website that has thus far avoided banning in the Ahmadi controlled Solentia. President al-Kaba stated that the Istalian government and Prime Minister Piermarco Carabetta has to answer for the grievous claims laid against Solentia and that the Istalian ambassador to Solentia had been called to the residence of the President to "discuss" the matters. Following the initial announcement protestors took to the streets near the Istalian embassy and chanted slogans of violence against the Istalian's. Minister of the Armed Forces and Chief of the General Staff, General Haani al-Abdoo dispatched elements of the Solentian Army to protect the Istalian embassy as a "precaution" and warned the protestors that they have a right to protest but to attack the Istalian embassy would not be wise.

While publicly the Minister of the Armed Forces and Chief of the General Staff, General Haani al-Abdoo and the President have remained cordial there has been reports of fierce debates and conflicts between the two with the Ahmadist sitting on one side and the military, secular parties and the supporters of the Emirate sitting on the other side. President al-Kaba has not released any statements or anything regarding the subject but it is a matter of rumors in some circles that the Armed Forces and the ruling government, dominated by Ahmadist have not been friendly.

Election Report: Ministry of the Interior has certified September general election results

al-Haliya, An Namer - The Ministry of the Interior and the Solentian Elections' Committee has certified the electoral results that voted on between September 1st and September 2nd. Officially declared on September 3rd, the Supreme Ahmadi Council and the Solentian National Accord received the most 1st and 2nd most votes respectively. The Supreme Ahmadi Council has won 130 seats, the Solentian National Accord has won 96 seats, the Ahmadi Liberation Party has won 69 seats, the Majatran Socialist Ba'ath Party - Solentia Region won 43 seats and the All-Majatran Socialist Party won 12 seats. It was announced that President Tayyib al-Kaba, who ran unopposed, had won the vote and in his victory speech that he would be forming a coalition with the Ahmadi Liberation Party but would retain Minister of the Armed Forces Haani al-Abdoo who is a member of the Solentian National Accord. While the "coalition" government is official, many of the cabinet if not all of the cabinet positions will remain the same as the first cabinet provided by President al-Kaba were members of the Ahmadi Liberation Party and the Supreme Ahmadi Council. In regional elections, An Namer Governorate (and Provincial Council leader) was the Solentian National Accord, in Iskadariya (and Provincial Council Leader) was the Ba'athist, in Misrahi (and Provincial Council Leader) was the Ahmadi Liberation Party. Finally, the Supreme Ahmadi Council won the strongholds of Tall Khadariyah and Ramabjah.

While the SAC, ALP and the SNA were all celebrating huge victories and an apparent win for democracy in Solentia, not all parties were content with their showing. Regional Secretary of the Ba'ath Party Ziyaad al-Akbari spoke to supporters in the stronghold of Iskadariya, the northwestern state that borders Kafuristan (where the Ba'athist retain much influence) and while he was excited about his election to the Governorship, he was critical of the government in the south. Secretary Akbari stated that he would work closely with the All-Majatran Socialist Party and the Solentian National Accord to "...right the ship that Solentia..." was on and ensure that the government was honest, fair and effective. Governor of An Namer, Solentian National Accord member Ihaab el-Javed stated that he would ensure that the government was transparent and work to rebuild services in his governorate that had long been neglected by the Ahmadist who focused on religious purges and religious conflict. Jiyaad al-Amini, Chairman of the All-Majatran Socialist Party stated that his party had been in contact with dozens of leftist groups and would be seeking a true "People's Revolution" and would ensure that this happened within the next several years.

Majatran workers and labor leaders protest outside the Council of the Republic building

al-Haliya, An Namer - All-Majatran Socialist Party leader Jiyaad al-Amini announced that after several week long meetings with dozens of leftist leaders a decision had been made on the future of the party. In a speech before a large crowd in al-Haliya, al-Amini announced the formation of the Majatran Communist Party (Solentia), a branch of the Majatran Communist Party which was made famous in Badara underneath founder Muhammad Al-Qafir and his concept of "Majatran Communism". al-Amini studied the Majatran Communist Party and the ideals of founder al-Qafir while attending al-Haliya University where he received a degree in political science and economics. Leftist ideologies in the Majatran world, notably to the ethnic Majatran world, have seemingly been able to take hold versus "typical" Imperialist concepts as the Majatran people, through their religious faith believe that the concepts of Metzism and Ahmadism blend together. The speech before the assembled crowd was prompted by counter-protests from fanatical capitalist supporting the Solentian National Accord and the arrival of the Defenders of the Revolution or the "Mudas" fanatical loyalist of President al-Kaba and the praetorians of the regime's two main factions: the Supreme Ahamdi Council and their puppet party, the Ahmadi Liberation Party.

In a meeting opened to the workers and proletariat of Solentia, al-Amini was proclaimed as the General-Secretary of the Central Committee of the Majatran Communist Party (Solentia) or MCP(S). In their first decision the Central Committee elected a Political Bureau (Politburo). The Political Bureau will hold authority to take action when the Central Committee is not in session, which will have authority when a Party Congress is not in session. The Central Committee also formed the Central Control and Auditing Commission (CCAC) which will supervise party finances, ensure party discipline, and overall oversee the authorities of the party to ensure that directives and policies are being conducted appropriately. The third official action of the Central Committee was the establishment of the Revolutionary Red Workers' Army (Jaysh al-Eummal al-Ahmar al-Thawrii) as the de facto paramilitary fighting force of the party and responsible for the development of a paramilitary force to build and create the new "Socialist Republic of Solentia".

SEVERAL FORMER SOLENTIAN POLITICIANS REVIVED FROM THE DEAD WITH EXPERIMENTAL TECHNOLOGY
September 4737

Image

Late last night, a Group of Solentian Scientists decided to test a new experimental technology that could revive the human brain to be put into the body of a machine! Unknown to all Solentians, a group of Order Party supporters known as "The New Order" had the brain of former Solentian Presidents George HW Kush, Ronald McReagan, George W Kush, John McSane and Rick Cheney preserved for future notice. They decided to test it on the founder of The Order Party, George HW Kush! Surprisingly to most, it worked!

This reporter, John Jameson, was able to have an interview with the former Solentian President.

So what was it like, coming back to life?
It felt like I woke up from a long deep sleep..... I've never experienced anything like it! I saw a light... and next thing I know, I woke up.

What are your plans now that you're back among the living?
You act as if I wasn't living through my legacy. Anyways, I'd like to reform The Order Party! I don't like how our current Government is run! It's time for order!

There are rumors that Ronald McReagan is going to be revived soon!

OOC: Well, this is a wild read as always.

Please note that this is disregarded.

Thanks for the laugh; lets avoid it in the future.

Eastern Alliance Seize Capital

June 4976

The Communist flag has been ripped down from the Presidential Palace in Oda, after Eastern Alliance militia surged into the city following the collapse of the Democratic Peoples Army (DPA). The capital had been under a loose siege for the last year, but following an influx of heavier weapons systems the Eastern Alliance were able to overcome DPA defences. The defection of different militia groups and the loss of several government controlled ports and airports broke the Communist governments lines of communication and ended essential supplies of food and ammunition. The final surge into the city has not completely ended fighting with media outlets reporting sporadic outbursts of gunfire. Whether this is the final resistance from bands of the DPA, or the loose change of vendettas after decades of violence who knows.

Image

After 18 years the Communist flag no longer flutters over Oda

Is the twenty year civil war about to end?

Solentia has been a battlefield for most of the last century, with one party governments unable to extend control over the entire country. First Fascists for sixty six years established a dictatorship, then in 4959 the Communists in an almost bloodless coup seized the capital city and gained control of Solentia. However despite the claims of both Fascists and Communists, their control barely ran outside of the major cities, with the notoriously lawless mountainous west of the country, and the largely rural and conservative east resisting central control. After the Communists seized power various groups referred to as the Mujaheddin sprang up around the country to resist Communism and after eighteen years the Communists ahve finally lost their remaining grip on the capital.

Who are the Eastern Alliance?

In the last ten years the Eastern Alliance emerged as the most prominent Mujahadeen group, gradually expanding their control over most of Nalia and Thepinesne Provinces. Under the skilled political leadership of Mansoor el-Barakat and military leadership of General Mamdooh al-Saeed, a ragtag collection of rural militia's were merged into the Eastern Alliance. Likewise several moderate Ahmadi Democratic parties were merged into the United Ahmadiyyah Salvation Front. After securing heavy weapon systems from unknown backers, General Mamdooh al-Saeed was able to mastermind a series of offensives from 4970 onwards that eventually Communists were eventually pushed the Communists out of the eastern provinces and back into a small number if cities. In the spring and summer of 4976, the last Communists strongholds fell one by one to either the Eastern Alliance or to other warlords and factions in the north and west of the country.

Eastern Alliance militia in Oda

Warlords, tribes and Ahmadi Extremists

However all does not bode well for the Eastern Alliance. In other parts of Solentia various Warlords, tribal militias and Ahmadi extremists have announced that they will not work with the United Ahmadiyyah Salvation Front. Ahmadi extremists have condemned the moderate Ahmadism of the UASF, warlords have refused to submit to central taxation and the notoriously lawless tribal belt along the Wantuni-Kalopian border have rarely recognised any outside governance. It is highly unlikely that we will see an end to violence in Solentia. But perhaps the moderate and pragmatic UASF offer the best hope in many decades for a democratic Solentia.

Image

Other factions have already declared that they do not see the Eastern Alliance as the legitimate government of Solentia.

Dumandi nationalist seize key city in Northern Solentia (May 4983)

Ethnic Dumandi fighters in Northern Solentia

Famandi, Northern Solentia - A surge of nationalism has gripped Solentian's from across the country as many have risen up against local Majatran and Artanian political and government leaders. Ghairat Qalat the leader of the Ahmadist Party has proclaimed a new Ahmadist Republic of Solentia, better known as Sahel in the native tongue of the Solentian people. Qalat is joined by local warlord Zorawar Ahmedani, the leader of the Men of Victory, a local Ahmadist group that has waged a low intensity conflict against the recent governments in al-Haliya, the capital of Solentia. A number of local municipal governments have fallen underneath the control of Ahmedani and have pledged their support to Qalat as the interim of President of the Ahmadi Republic of Solentia as the government in al-Haliya prepares to deal with this crisis. Famandi, a medium sized city located in northern Solentia has become the interim capital of the Ahmadi Republic of Solentia. A spokesman for the new government has announced that it plans to capture of the capital of al-Haliya, promptly rename it to Takhghisi, its native name and restore it as the seat of the government. Qalat, speaking from Famandi, has called upon all native Dumandi people to rise up from their often nomadic, tribal lifestyle and uproot the prominent Majatran and Artanian political and cultural elements that have oppressed their lives for centuries.

The Dumandi are an Aldegarian ethnic group found in minority in Kalistan and are the largest ethnic group in Solentia despite the governments best wishes. The Dumandi are distinct from their Aldegarian brothers and sisters in that they practice the Ahmadi faith and speak a distinct language, Dumandi, which shares their ethnic demonym. The Dumandi people also speak a dialect of Aldegarian that has been influenced by Majatran and thus has adopted similar writing styles and form but retains distinction from Aldegarian, it is commonly known as Dumandi Aldegarian.

Ahmadi Republic of Solentia declared; battle of modernity versus religious begins to play out (September 4893)

Image

Takhghisi - Large swathes of the country have fallen underneath the control of the new Ahmadi Republic of Solentia as the Ahmadi Party has formally seized control over Takhghisi, known in Majatran as al-Haliya, the capital of Solentia. In his first televised appearance, the new President of the Ahmadi Republic of Solentia announced that a new government had been installed. Zorawar Ahmedani, the leader of the Men of Victory, an Israist religious movement and group, has been named as the Prime Minister of the Ahmadi Republic of Solentia and has named a new government. A number of officials are close allies of both the President and Ahmedani; the two men are considered to be allies but some insiders debate if they have the same goals. Political experts paint new President Ghairat Qalat as a religious moderate who wants to modernize Solentia and work towards opening Solentia towards the outside world and away from instability. Ahmedani is painted as a religious extremist whose leadership of the Men of Victory is associated with several acts of terrorism as a component of the Ahmadi State in Majatra and other smaller terrorist groups. Ahmedani has been cited several times in videos and televised interviews with espousing views against Hosians and Yeudi's, these views have contributed to a variety of actions against the Men of Victory throughout history but they have remained largely confined to Solentia. The installation of a new, friendly Ahmadi government in Solentia presents a potential challenge to the region as its struggles with economic issues as well as a variety of issues facing the continent.

Munjid al-Baddour, the new Minister of Foreign Affairs is believed to be a close ally of the new President and will likely take a leading role in shaping Solentian foreign policy as a whole. Baddour has already re-called the old diplomatic corps and replaced nearly 75% of them according a Foreign Affairs spokesman; some are being left unfulfilled while others are being kept in their position. The incoming National Defense Minister Shindi Gul Khetran is a leading commander of the Men of Victory but has a reported "rocky" relationship with the new Prime Minister and Men of Victory leader who might seek to place the interest of his own men above the government or might play both sides off of each other. Khetran inherits a Solentian Armed Forces that is basically defunct and is considered to be a meticulous organizer and has shared in interviews his desire to "...modernize, organize and enhance the capabilities of the Solentian Armed Forces." Khetran despite being a militia commander is rumored to have attended military academies in Kafuristan and Mina. Khetran's staff noted that he is to have several high level talks and meetings with former officers of the Solentian Armed Forces as well as meetings with the President who underneath the new constitution is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Solentia.

The new Minister of Finance and Economy, Ashqar Vaziri, is perhaps the most peculiar choice among members of the new government. Vaziri is an Artanian trained banker who is a close confidant of the new President and has been tasked with modernizing the banking and financial services sectors within Solentia. This has been a topic of controversy as many within the new government are deeply religious and believe that the concept of Ahmadi banking should be followed. Ahmadi banking often has laws against loans with interest and other "modern" concepts of banking and financial institutions. Vaziri is also the interim Governor of the Bank of Solentia and sits as the interim President of the Supreme Council of the Bank of Solentia; it is likely that he will hold the role until he feels that he can appoint someone to handle the institutions. Since the capture of Takhghisi he has since issued a decree halting the printing of any Solentian currency Solenar, the official currency of the Solentian people and government. Vaziri has worked closely with the new National Defense Minister and Interior Minister to secure the two printing presses and mints within the country, the first located within the capital of Takhghisi and the other located in "undisclosed" location meant to protect the government in the event of a fall of the government.
