In the aftermath of Collapse: Solentia almost a year later

A new member of the National Assembly sits in on a legislative session.

Following the capture of Takhghisi in September, 4893 after several months of civil war within the country against both Majatran and Artanian elements the new government in Takhghisi is taking shape. The Ahmadi Party has retained all the seats within the National Assembly but faces upstart opposition from new parties that have formed and others that have returned to the political front. One of those notable parties is the Majatran Communist Party (Solentia) which reformed under Zwak Kirmani as the new General Secretary of the Central Committee. Kirmani has promised to ensure that the new government is held to a basic standard and begins to provide services throughout the country as soon as possible; an issue that has seen several MCP(S) members elected to Provincial Councils and District Councils throughout Solentia as well as capture a number of relatively up-and-coming mayoralities within the country. The MCP(S) isn't alone however, an upstart center-right "Republican Party of Solentia" has been formed, the party is focused on republican governance of Solentia and secularism; the United Ahmadi Liberation Front is a coalition of radical, largely Israist political movements that seek to further push the new Ahmadi Republic towards total rule by religious law as well as a dozen other minor political parties that have formed in the wake of the formation of a formal government in Takhghisi. The Ahmadi Liberation Party is comprised of religious Majatrans, the Fedayeen Emir are largely Majatran monarchist who wish to restore the Emirate of Quanzar while in the north the Majatran Socialist Ba'ath Party find themselves in a significant position of strength.

The most notable development has been the usage of the new Solentian National Army (SNA) to protect key economic locations throughout the country; notable border crossings where the Interior Ministry is attempting to deploy the Solentian National Police (SNP) to begin customs and immigration enforcement; this however is a long-term goal and the Solentian government is focused now on "law and order" on the borders. In coordination with the Ministry of Finance and Economics, the Ministry of National Defense has authorized the newly reformed Solentian National Army (SNA) to assist in securing the economic future of the nation, the largest and currently the most well funded branch of the Solentian Armed Forces. President Galat appointed General Zgard Farooqi as the new Chief of the General Staff, the overall operational commander of the Solentian Armed Forces. Members of the National Assembly have promised to deliver a new budget that addresses the new Chief of the General Staffs concerns with manpower, equipment and issues facing the new Solentian Armed Forces. General Farooqi named Vice Admiral Mairanay Khakwani as the Vice Deputy Chief of the General Staff and Lieutenant General Wadaan Hamadani as the new Chief of Logistics of the General Staff. General Hamadani, a former defense industry official within Solentia, is tasked with procuring new equipment for the Solentian Armed Forces as well as the agencies of the Interior Ministry such as the Solentian National Police. Rumors have surfaced that the Majatran Organization for Industrialization will be heavily favored in contracts due to their ties with the new Chief of Logistics.

The President of the National Assembly was asked about the new political parties in Solentia and how they would be featured in up-coming elections and he stated that the government was actively looking at welcoming them in a multi-party system.

The Ahmadi party, after having gained control of the entire country and established the Ahmadi Republic, greatly influenced the population with its policy in favor of the Ahmadi religion, managing to promote it to a great extent in the country, however social projects failed in largely due to the lack of interest they have in it, lately the one who was president of the republic ahmadi republic began to spend more time outside the country enjoying its wealth more than in his own country while the crisis ravaged the country.

The so-called president of the Ahmadi Republic after seeing how the economic crisis ravaged the country and seeing himself in front of the discontent of the population, after the protests of the people who demand justice he abdicated by starting new early elections.

Image

In these elections the Ahmadi Party were hardly present due to their bad reputation, the Majatran Communist Party rose greatly, becoming popular with the Majatran youth who are looking for a way out of conservative ideas, while the moderate majatran people supported the Ahmadi Liberation Party. But the party that won these elections was Hizb al Adl, the justice party who did not make ethnic or religious distinctions, promising to respect the customs and beliefs of all ethnic groups and religions in the country, giving new hope to those non-Ahmadis who felt oppressed. Faced with the avalanche of Ahmadi that tried to transform the country in a radical way, but at the same time, the party promises to respect Ahmadis as well, since this religion is already an integral part of the country, creating a balance.

Image

Emir Fedayeen continues to claim the throne while the United Ahmadi Liberation Front begins to influence a certain Majatran population of the country, the Majatran Socialist Ba'ath Party continues with its campaigns and trying to break through these great changes that devastate the country.

The only hope for the people to make a balance in a country with a big population that continue to cling to their ancient customs and religions in the country is Hizb al adl. The people are happy for this victory and Husam, the leader of the Hizb al adl party, is crowned president of the republic

Hizb Adl declare the abolition of the Ahmadi republic and start a new process to make a pluralist republic, the President of the Republic Husam Al-Adili made the follow speech:

"We cannot tolerate that this sovereign state is reduced to a single religious denomination, our state is plural, it contains people from different religions and ethnicities and not only from the Ahmadiye religion therefore we change the structure of the state accordingly, the first thing we are going to do is to change the name of this state, from now on it is not an Ahmadiye republic, from now on it is a sovereign and plural republic where we accept people coming from any way of life, we have considered to call this republic the republic of Sahel but we don't have only one majority language to impose a majatran name so it has been decided and it will be called from now on according to the historical name of the area using the two most spoken language in the state, from now the oficial name is "Jomhūrī-ye Sahel Sulentia/Republic of Solentia""

Image

This created great repercussions and debates in the state, many conservatives have been surprised by this decision while people from different religions and other ethnic groups energetically applauded the decision, the monarchists raise their voice saying that it is not necessary to criticize the Ahmadiye religion for making distinctions since it respects the existing differences between people's cultures, the candidate for monarch mentioned parts of the Ahmadi holy book to show that his religion respects diversities and that there is no need for so much fuss about these matters, he declares that he accepts this change but fears for the future of the religion and that it may take an extreme turn in another direction that may lead to state atheism.

The President of the governement make a press conference wheere he stated:

Image

We are having a great development with our project, now that we are abolishing the Ahmadi republic there is a lot of dynamism in the nation, even an anarcho-capitalist party is gaining ground, and the Ahmadi opposition is gaining power, we want to make it clear that our goal is not to corrupt nor to fight against anyone other than injustice and human rights, we open our hands for any party or political actor who wants to participate in the development of this nation whether they are anarcho-capitalist or Ahmadi we all fit here, with constructive dialogue we can move forward. We are now trying to integrate with the new majority party to broaden our development strategy and the president has just presented his cabinet with this legislation which we hope will pass smoothly.

The only thing we do not tolerate is that we end up as we were before in a defeated theological republic where the money ends up dispersed in the pockets of certain chieftains and leaving the state to camp out in the hands of a few profiteers to the point that at the measure of protest they run off with the riches of the country, while one ideology is favored over the other, one religion over the other and one ethnic group over the other and while the rights of minorities and even majorities are trampled by certain minorities, those days are behind us and now are the days to think about the future of this country, hence we have decided to change the name, reform this country from the root and start with a new beginning. and to finish I quote the president in his last conference when he said:

Long live to Solentia, Long live to the people and Long live to the freedom

Due to the opening up of the country to the world, a large number of immigrants are entering the country to take advantage of job offers, a large number of Rajutti, kalopian and Istalians (Sarrentini and Alarians) are entering the country, also other minorities are arriving as well as Mallans and Indralans.

In the midst of the transition between the abolition of the Ahmadi republic and the creation of a new republic, two major parties have appeared on the scene: the anarcho-capitalist AnNAP party and the Ahmadi Hizb al-Akim party.
Rise and collapse of the Anarcho-capitalist AnNAP party.
Image

The new party enters the scene with great popular support, the Anarcho-capitalist party, many dream of a country ruled by the free market, without any intervention and without having to pay taxes, with the idea that they will have prosperity and wealth, the majority party Hizb Al-Adl was open to negotiate with all actors on the scene whether communists, anarcho-capitalists or Ahmadi, After the elections the Anarcho-Capitalist party swept the votes and took a slight lead but due to the laws the cabinet remained part of Hizb Al-Adl until a new government was formed, Hizb Al-Adl together with its head of state openly offered to negotiate a joint government with the Anarcho-Capitalist party and even offered a proposal for a joint government to negotiate with the party, but AnNAP did not respond, They offered certain radical points to change in the legislation which were not approved by a large part of the seats because they were considered too radical but still they kept trying to negotiate something that would benefit both, on the other hand Hizb Al-Adl tried to continue with their process of building the new republic and the abolition of the Ahmadi republic by offering the new constituent process but the proposals collapsed in the face of the abstentions of the AnNAP party, after all unfortunately the Anarcho-capitalist party ended up withdrawing from the government leaving everything in the hands of Hizb Al-Adl, the Hizb Al-Adl party in the face of what is presented approves an interim government until new elections and makes use of its legitimacy to continue with the constituent process, reforming the constitution, changing the flag, reformed the national anthem and thus creating the new republic.

Rise and collapse of Hizb Al-Akim
Hizb Al-Akim is a party that presented itself as opposing the anarcho-capitalists and Hizb Al-Adl, offered many reforms that were radically conservative and in favour of Ahmadi sovereignty, yet Hizb Al-Adl presented itself as open for business, analysing and trying to open a dialogue on each of the legislative proposals that the Ahmadi party offered and even proposed a reform of the law on prostitution based on Hizb Al-Adl's proposals, After the elections they took a large part of the seats, and the head of state offered his cabinet as a whole to discuss between the parties but due to not getting the results he expected Hizb Al-Akim leaves the government, pushing Hizb Al-Adl to vote again against the government proposal and form again an interim government towards the next elections.

New Republic declared in Solentia, after many attempts Hizb Al-Adl finally managed to abolish the Ahmadi republic and create a new pluralistic republic, the constitution was changed to reflect the pluralism of the nation, the national anthem was changed and a new flag design was offered, removing the Ahmadi symbols from the flag out of respect for the different religions and cultures that are part of this great nation.

To run in the upcoming elections, Hizb Al-Adl decided to form a coalition with the parties created to defend the country's ethnic and religious minorities. Together with the Raktavani Life Party and Minority Union, Hizb Al-Adl formed "Coalition for the Future".
