Tribal forces advance on the capital Oda
December 3135
Tribal forces from the United Ahmadi Salvation Front (UASF) have made major gains across Saspian Province in northern Solentia, severing ground lines of communication between the capital and the border with Kafuristan. After 13 years of civil war, the once all powerful UASF has successfully united a number of Solentian factions and once again has seized control of swathes of Solentia.
Background
The United Ahmadi Salvation Front governed the Republic of Solentia between 5110 and 5122 before the Solentia descended into its current civil war. The movement, formerly headed by General General Azmaray Tauqi, consisted of technocrats from the civil service and former members of the Solentian Armed Forces, aligned with members of the business elites, tribal leaders, Israeist religious leaders and feudal warlords. However, since the breakout of the current civil war in 5122, Kafuri intervention in 5126 and the death of General Tauqi in 5127, the remnants of the UASF retreated to more peripheral strongholds and largely gave up control of urban areas and northern Solentia.
However, under the inspired leadership of Mullah Tawas Shinwari, the UASF has conducted a recruitment campaign drawing in various disaffected tribal groups, warlord militias and remnants of the Solentian Armed Forces, united under a programme of implement Israeist Sharia Law and removing Kafuristani influence from Solentia.

Tribal support
The most important gains by the UASF have been from various tribal groups around Solentia. Under Solentian law power and authority is in many areas widely delegated to the tribes. These Tribal Laws recognised the fact that large parts of Solentia have existed outside of central government control for generations. It also ensures that the male population is largely heavily armed and willing to fight for tribal honour, with the blood feud representing a key social tradition.

In the face on this onslaught various militia groups have melted away from key urban areas in the face of the UASF advance. In the far north of Solentia various Abadi tribes, with Kafuri advisors have retreated to strongholds and border positions, although likely ensuring that the capital Oda will fall to the UASF in the next few weeks.
