Emperor Choesun V Rumored Dead

GONGMANGDO -- Over a year since the Imperial Household was removed from the throne, little has been known on the whereabouts of the Ryeo Family, other than Princess Kyunghee, who had traveled to Indrala only a short time before Taeyang Sang-ah consolidated all power. Rumors are now circulating that Emperor Choesun V has died while in hiding, allegedly from health complications, possibly pneumonia or a heart attack. Since this rumor's initial emergence online tons of conspiracies have flooded the web and it has become even harder to determine the truth and any associated details relating to the Emperor's possible death. If the Emperor has indeed died from a health complication it would seem that it most likely occurred in February or March of this year. Furthermore, details from the earliest online postings indicate that the Ryeos may have been hiding in the mountains of Magadonia, likely utilizing the same contacts as when they hid in the mountains during the Hong Presidency. At this point in time, it seems likely that most of the remaining Ryeo are no longer in Dankuk.

Taeyang Sang-Ah Restored. Conservatives and Imperial Conservative Parties make peace with each other.

In Year 4228, a deal was brokered between the (then) National Conservative Party and Conservatives(formerly the Labour Party) The Empress was fully restored to the throne as a constitutional Monarch, It is believed that this will alleviate tensions between the Kyo and Westerners within Dankuk. Though the parties have recently clashed regarding cyber-security, with the (now) Imperial Conservative Party pushing for the construction of a whole new internet to replace the existing "anarchic" model that exists. The stated reason for this is to better protect the nation against Cyberwarfare attacks from future hostile powers. The Conservative party seems to offer nothing but legislation as a safeguard for financial and personal information as of now, instead putting its faith in foreign companies to police themselves-a position the Imperial Conservatives say is "foolish and naïve".

In other news restrictions on tourists have been reduced, though they are still heavily monitored so as to insure that national monuments are not desecrated by tourists. This is believed to help the nation build its International Prestige.

Imperial Family Revealed

With the restoration of the empress, and a kind of uneasy co-existence achieved between factions within Dankuk, it seems that the government sees fit to release what was previously a state secret to the public-Taeyang Sang-ah has a family with 2 sons, one daughter(the crown princess of Dankuk aged 26) a husband, and an unidentified woman whose affiliation with the Imperial Family is unknown. The Crown Princess, Yeong Yoon-Jin, has immediately been subject of Media Frenzy within Dankuk, with many wondering about her background, beliefs etc. There is an unsubstantiated rumor that the younger members of the Imperial Family have expressed interest in joining the Conservative Party-though this is mere speculation at this time. The Crown Princess in the meantime has studied at Gongmangdo University, studying such subjects as Diplomacy & War, History, and Kyo Civilization.

Ryeo Choesun Returns to Dankuk

GONGMANGDO, DANKUK

The claimant to the Dranian throne shocked his home nation as he arrived at Gongmangdo International Airport accompanied with his wife this afternoon. Ryeo Choesun's residence in Tian'an now sits vacant, as its contents have either been sent with the heir to Dankuk or placed in possession of Ryeo Yejun, who still lives in Indrala.

While a new banner flies over Dankuk, the heir still found himself embraced by old allies in the former imperial capital. Despite very obvious threat from the authoritarian Dranian government, Ryeo Choesun made no secret of his arrival and swiftly made his way through customs before departing to a temporary penthouse in central Gongmangdo. As he exited the airport the heir was quoted as declaring his intent to fight for the restoration of the Imperial Household.

Indralan officials were not informed of Ryeo's decision to return, though all other members of the family still remain in the country, with at least one, Ryeo Seojun, possessing Indralan citizenship. No members of the family could be reached for questions and Ryeo Choesun now runs major risk of imprisonment.

State Visit to Kazulia.

Upon Invitation from the Kazulian Government, Empress Taeyang will be first Kyo Monarch to visit Kazulia. Historically both nations have had some uneasiness and hostility, though they have cooperated in abolishing the Genocidal regime that existed in Hulstria, the recent thaw in relations may be due to recent changes in the political system in Kazulia in which the National Worker's Congress' domination of the government has been broken by the Liberal Conservatives and the Communists. The Empress and Statsoverhode Emilie Karlsen are expected to work out a trade agreement between the two nations and build better relations overall. On the itinerary it is expected for the Empress to also visit the museums within Kazulia and participate in local cultural activities. Regarding the disputes between Yingdala and Kazulia, the Palace has made no statement on the situation, perhaps seeing it best to be neutral at this time.

Palace Invites Ryeo Choesun to the Imperial Palace

Despite the apparent rivalry between the Taeyang and Ryeo clans for the throne, it seems the Crown Princess has cordially invited Ryeo Choesun to the Imperial Palace for a meeting. It is uncertain what will come of the meeting, but it is stated that the meeting is in good faith and with the Peace and Security of the Empire of principle importance.

Ryeo Claimant Refuses Meeting with Hwangje Crown Princess

The Ryeo claimant to the Dranian throne, now unofficially branded by loyalists as Emperor Choesun VI, has rejected invitation to meet with the Hwangje Crown Princess. The Ryeo heir declared that such a meeting would only serve the interests of the Hwangje and their constant posturing for greater legitimacy. He went on to say that the Hwangje are not worthy of meeting with the Ryeo Imperial Household and that such a meeting would reflect poorly upon the family.

Ryeo Choesun Dies after Fatal Automobile collision

Ryeo Choesun, the Rival Claimant to the Throne of Dankuk, has died in a car accident while in transit to his penthouse.
He was taken to hospital in the early hours of the morning where surgeons tried for two hours to save his life but he died at 0300 GST.
In a statement the Imperial Palace said the Crown Princess was "deeply shocked and distressed". The accident happened after Ryeo left his Penthouse in the former Imperial capital with his wife.

Lady Choesun and the vehicle's driver were also killed in the collision in a tunnel under Gongmangdo Plaza in the centre of the city. The Royal Pretender's Mercedes car was apparently being pursued at high speed by photographers on motorbikes when it hit a pillar and smashed into a wall. Lady Choesun and the chauffeur died at the scene but Choesun and his friend, Park Hyeong-Il, were cut from the wreckage and rushed to hospital. The authorities began a criminal investigation and questioned the photographers though the police have concluded no foul play was involved. Tributes to the Royals have been pouring in from around Gongmangdo.

Grand Empress Taeyang Sang-ah arrived in Kazulia in the early morning with much fanfare on the Kazulian News, with many photographers snapping pictures of the visiting Empress, who's life has been of much talk throughout the world by both opponents and supporters. The Empress was born in 4277 in a time of great turbulence within Dankuk-with the demise of the Juche Regime and the revival of the Ryeo Dynasty, her family largely lived dedicated to the Shrine, largely staying out of the limelight, Taeyang herself(known as Mok Sang-ah at the time-Taeyang being a ceremonial title conferred upon assumption of the position of High Priestess of Sindo)focused on training to be a Shrine Priestess. Unfortunately for Taeyang, the PresidentHong Seon-Ki- launched a coup d'état in which the Ryeo were deposed and began a most dark time in Kyo history and eventually, in the year 4297, declared himself "God-Emperor" and representatives of the old Monarchic lines were persecuted if they didn't surrender their claims to Hong-Taeyang's own Parents were Imprisoned by the Tyrant. Taeyang herself, though merely 20 years old, was in a different part of the country at the time of the imprisonment and became the center of supporters of opposition to President Hong within Dankuk. Using family fortune she was able to build an army to fight the Tyrannical Emperor and in October, in coalition with democratic and Ryeo forces, overthrew the Tyrant and established a Provisional Government, who elected her President. At this point in time she tried to negotiate with the other factions within Dankuk, but old rivalries persisted with the Ryeo Clan, which eventually involved foreign Leftist powers-such as the Republic of Yingdala-a government which the Empire has recognized as illegitimate due to the dishonorable way the Wu clan was deposed. Around the Year 4308 evidence came to light that the Ryeo had betrayed the Kyo nation by giving vital intelligence to the Yingdalan Government, and the Imperial Senate voted to remove Choesun V from the throne and Taeyang Sang-ah was installed as Empress. The Ryeo family subsequently evaded authorities, who were authorized to detain the royal family to determine their fate later in a trial. Choesun V would eventually die of Cardiac complications and the rest of his family were airlifted to Yingdala. Over the Years the Empress began projects to build up the Empire, building infrastructure, researching nuclear technology, and joining a worldwide coalition to overthrow the genocidal government in Hulstria. At some point though, residual leftist forces commandeered Parliament around 4316 to dethrone Empress, though her supporters never wavered in their support, and with pressure, finally managed to undo the Left-wing decree and recognize the legitimacy of Taeyang in 4228. The new government has been the most stable in a long time for Dankuk, and it is widely believed that this stability enables the expansion of Dankuk's Foreign Relations and Friendships.

Kazulia has long been an antagonistic power in the Dovanian region to even moderately Kyo nationalist groups, largely under the leadership of the monarchy and their National Worker's Congress. During the time of Taeyang's Great Great Grandmother, Hwangje Ye-Seo, Kazulia made attempts to control Dankuk's energy resources-a move that antagonized the National Conservative and Popular Action Parties who viewed it as a threat to national sovereignty. Eventually The Kazulian attempt to monopolize Dankuk's energy sector was defeated, though relations between the two nations continued to be cold for many years, with the Kazulian Monarchy occasionally banning travel to Dankuk-most recent dispute was over President Hong'ss dictatorship. However it seems this is an era of great change in the world as the old order in Kazulia has been overturned, and a new government composed of Liberal Conservatives and Communists leading the direction to the new era of the Kazulian Republic. New eras are of course, not without difficult transition times, as Kazulia has been rocked by terrorism in the nation which threatens the nation's stability- something that is prime concern to many as the Global Power has many international agreements-including newly formed ones in Yingdala. It is hoped that the new government can build itself up as a bastion of peace, goodwill, and Stability in the years to come.

The Empress met with Statsoverhode Emilie Karlsen to discuss developing further ties-details of which will be released by the Kazulian Government. In addition to the politics, the Empress also visited the Grand Kazul Museum in the capital-Skalm- to see the country's rich history, visited the Head of State's Palace, and partook of a state dinner in Kazulia. Empress Taeyang visits the Crownlands: Reaffirms commitment to an old ally.

The Empress of Dankuk is currently visiting the United Imperial Crownlands of Hulstria and Gao-Soto, which has largely been focused on it's own internal developments-mostly undoing the genocidal policies of the Nimitz regime. The most recent bit of news regarding the Crownlands involves the rise of a liberal party which has aims of an alliance with the Hosian-Democrats(the party of the reigning Okatori Clan). In the meantime, the Empress spent most of her time touring the capital and visited Hulstria's major sights-including the famed Music Hall-home to much of the Western Musical tradition.

Elections in Dankuk: Conservative Status Quo Maintained

Elections were largely uneventful as Imperial Conservatives, Conservatives and Awesomists ran their respective candidates. With most provinces voting for the Conservatives, ICP gaining the Province of Valdor-known for its preference for Statism, and the Awesomists managed to win the Province of Eljang which is known for being home to old Imperial capital and it's largely ecological population. It is unknown what the current President is going to set forth in his agenda, but it is hoped by many that the Conservative's goals of improving the Empire's standing in the world continue.

State Visit to Empire of Sekowo

Empress Taeyang's visit to Sekowo was covered by many media outlets, The local Kamist especially taking an interest as the Empress claims descent from the Sun Kami thousands of years ago, The Empress' first action was to visit the local Inari Shrine based in the capital, and visited the Celestial Palace in Kasmenai which used to be home of the Ishida Dynasty who reigned for 759 years total in Sekowo, though with interruptions, with the last Ishida reigning in 3735. The Empress has given no opinion on the local politics, though she has expressed an interest in meeting with some of the local parties in Sekowo to discuss building an alliance with a fellow Gao-Showan nation. Sekowan History is a long one, 2/3 of its government with some kind of royal family or another so the current situation in which The Empire has no reigning Emperor or Empress is largely seen as an Aberration of Sekowan Tradition by monarchists. One local Family is known to have presented their claim to the Throne-Senator Honda Kiyoshi, 72 years old and claimant as Viscount of Sanko of the Kenpo Minshuto(Constitutional Democratic Party). The party is likely to be viewed with suspicion by Kamists as it's goal is to make Sekowo a Hosian Confessional State.

State Visit to Kingdom of Klavia Okeanu to discuss Tourism Possibilities.

The Long planned visit as arrived, The Grand Empress of Dankuk arrived to what is seen as a beautiful Island Paradise by many of the wealthy(especially the Istalians). The Empress met with the King to discuss opening up tourism possibilities on the Island and to insure basic Trade exchange in which certain Imperial Firms are allowed to base themselves in the Kingdom legally to avoid punitive tax rates passed by the Conservative Party in Dankuk. In addition to the diplomatics, the Delegation visited much of the historic sites on the island, including the local Theatre, the Royal National Park, and the Luxurious Royal Hotel.

For the first time, an official Delegation from Dankuk has visited the Ancient Kingdom, known for it's Pharaohs and Pyramids, and it's liberal economics. The Two Monarchs had much to agree upon regarding religion and economics as both seek to promote their respective indigenous religions within their nations in the face of various conversion attempts by other religions in the world, and promote economic freedom in the face of attempts by leftists to curtail free enterprise. It is uncertain what will come in future days, but it seems that future relations look prosperous.
