Antónios Anthropophagus gone

"In reaction to the new laws passed by the KRC, laws that make it unable for a man to breathe in his own country..."

So begins the letter, that was found in the former residence of Autokrator Apellas, which had been inhabited by his successor Anthropophagus since the latter was elected. It continues to count many of the KRC's achievements, but in a negative, dissident-like tone, which is the reason for us not publishing it, and ends with Anthropophagus' decision to leave his house and, apparently, his office, in order to return to "where I came from". Supposedly, this means the Kalopian crime scene. Indeed, prior to his move-out, several transporters could be seen coming from the mansion, according to one eye-witness "fully loaded with gold and riches never seen". So there probably was some gold to find that would have belonged to Apellas before.
In the end, this move seems to be something of an ultimate recognition that Kalopia has become once more an autocracy, and that it will be only a matter of months until we can see our beloved Autokrator rule us again (Hail Apellas!).

Preparations for Mustafa Girzekdinov's arrival in Kalopia ~ Polykratos, Minosasa
June 2923

In a short press release, the Kafuri government accepted with great applause from the Kalopian side the invitation for discussions between the two nations. Seeing that the Head of Government for Kafuristan, an honorable and well respected politician even amongst Kalopian lobby circles, Diktátor Apellas himself will be present in the discussions. The meeting will be held in the Astár Hotel in Polykratos, with enhanced security measures ran for precaution. The discussions between the two great men will be held in the presence of both local and international media. Analysts and political experts anticipate this as the drawing meeting of the century for both sides, stating that the outcome of the discussions will greatly seal the path the Autocracy will be undergoing in the future.

"We are greatly optimistic of the Kafuri HoG's arrival in our ancient capitol, and we shall treat him with the best manor possible, not for typical customs and appearances, but because of great respect", KRC spokerperson Gregorios Soros states. "We are truly honored to accommodate Mr. Girzekdinov." The government of Kalopia has sent an official plan of the upcoming events for the meeting, the first of which is arrival by private airplane to Polykratos international airport and an official escort of politicians and representatives of the Kalopian legislative assembly will lead Mr.Girzekdinov to the Parliament for a reception cocktail party, where he will be greeted by Apellas in front of the media. The Head of Government will be accommodated in the Astár Hotel in the panoramic area of Polykratos. The rest of the week will be dedicated to the discussions in the parliament and several sightseeings for the HoG, if he wishes to follow. The evenings will be presented with cocktail parties and several musical events in the halls of the Parliament building in Polykratos. Mr. Girzekdinov may bring his own security, although Diktátor Apellas guaranteed for maximum security protection. The media will be allowed access to all discussions during the day, so expect full information live.

In other news, the citizens of Kalopia are eager to witness, for the first time, the great leader behind the glorious Empire.

Corruption reigns high over the Empire ~ Polykratos, Minosasa
November 2924

Shortly after the announcement of the election results of November 2924 turmoil immediately followed. The KRC is on the bring of disbandment and there is one major factor that can be attributed: corruption. As the election results indicate, the 64.00% of the total legislative assembly is now being governed by those who were known as part of the Anthropophagus collective and were blamed by many within the KRC and the ASK of corruption, lack of morality and greed towards power and money. The once hunted and gone Antónios Anthropophagus has been reelected to the position of Autokrator and now governs the unofficial collective of corrupt politicians from within the ranks of the other two parties.

In response to the staggering election results, the Prime Minister handed out his resignation and withdrew from the Kalopian Regime Coalition, causing a serious blow to the party's ranks. Mr. Diktátor was unreachable for comments. Shortly after Afratikos's resignation, the government collapsed and all Ministers immediately resigned in protest of the unresponsive leadership and extreme levels of corruption. The nation has never been hit by this phenomenon so hard, and it is impossible to trace the exact people, mainly due to the extensive bureaucracy and secondly to the fact that the Apellas measures where never finished and there is no official organization of the state. In short, the Imperial Dream has been left uncompleted for now.

A sudden spark of protests triggered a series of riots in the capitol, with demands such as the restoration of the KRC's official leadership into the throne counter attacking the protesters supporting the lift of the martial law and the extreme hardcore measures imposed earlier by the collapsed government. In this spark of riots, Mariena Vanadupola, ex Minister of Finance was murdered yesterday night on her way to her residence on the outskirts of the city. The police was unable to conduct any concrete investigations due to the continuation of the riots. Apellas has lost control over the KRC once again and seems to have vanished, while the 'Girzekdinov - Apellas' Meeting has been cancelled, as Mr. Diktátor disappeared the next day.

Antónios Anthropophagus is back

Almost pretending he'd never really gone, and without any comment, Anthropophagus seems to have moved back in. Rumors have that this has something to do with his syndicate influencing at the time more than 50% of the Voulí.

Meanwhile, the riots continue, as the first bill by the KRC shows that now, clearly, corruption has taken over the party. What this will mean for the future, Kalopia's system of government, and the visit of the Kafuri president, is unclear.

Kalopia is now a fully recognised monarchy

While the restrucuring of our country also involved a restructuring of this newspaper, the process is no finished. Not only has Kalopia become a liberal state free from the totalitarianism of the Apellas Regime, it has also evolved into a monarchy, fit to be compared to the glorious days of our ancient forfathers.

The ruling monarch is Thorsson I./IX. Islyn, King of Kalopia, King of Kazulia, Duke of Islyn, Duke of Ulfmærr. (I. of Kalopia, IX. of Islyn). The House of Islyn, still also claiming, and this rightfully, the Kazulian throne, have become the royal family of Kalopia too. The marriage of Thorsson IX.'s son Theodore XIX. of Islyn with Appolonía Ariadní, daughter of the Ariadní Family that can trace its roots back to classical Kalopia, when the Ariadní were ruling over the city state that later became Polykratos.

The Return of the Kalopian Regime Coalition - April 2940

Image
Diktátor's Convoy

Finally back in the political foreground of Kalopia, Diktátor Apellas now faces the difficulty of returning democracy to the nation. "This tainted Kingdom is as of current the most corrupt in the whole continent, and never has Kalopia reached what we call a corruption peak until now", he commented, after reaching Polykratos and reestablishing the old KRC headquarters in the outskirts of the city. His convoy of Kentley Continentals revealed a set of wealthy associates from all over Majatra, as well as some recognized from Dovani.

The Kalopian Regime Coalition will soon proceed to announcements. Hang with us as we dig the under stories of the party's latest movements.

Apellas - a change of heart?

Political analysists today were surprised by the first bill the KRC has put to the voting. Due to the Gerousia being run by solely by politicians on the payroll of Kalopias biggest syndicate, it will probably not succeed, but that is not the point. In the past, whenever a bill had been put forward by the KRC, Apellas' own party, it was a bill that went heavily for totalitarianism. The bill today, however, is completely opposite. It renounces the relatively lax status, and want's to introduce an even more liberal one. Has Apellas had a change of heart?

"I don't thinks so" sais acclaimed political scientist Anastasias Telemachios. "It is not likely that Apellas, a man as ruthless as they come, is suddenly interested in political freedoms or democracy. I think, and most of my colleages agree with me here, that this is a clever move in order to gain more votes. Our nation has always been very liberal in thought, and the KRC are now trying to take advantage of this."

Kalopia reacts to terrorist attack against Rutenia

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Manuel Kyrios, as all members of the cabinet and the Gerousia without party membership, issued a significant press release:

The Kingdom of Kalopia hereby strongly condemns the attack on Rutenia. We cannot be more sad, that such an event occured. Not only do we offer our deepest compassion, no, we also declare hereby, that Kalopia had nothing to do whatsoever with the terrorist group behind this. Neither did they receive weapons, or training or any other patronage of our part. We repeat, as it is so important for the international community to know, Kalopia was not involved. Any other assertion would be a lie. Kalopia does not fund terrorist organisations, and has never done so. Neither does any Kalopian organisation, especially our crime syndicates - we have them under tight surveillance, and the are too small to do any damage anyway. We are truly sorry for the dark fate that has befallen Rutania, and we offer our most sincere condolences to the victims of this tragic attack, even if we had nothing to do with it.

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Logothetes tou Dromou Manuel Kyrios, quickly declarde, that:

"The Basileîa tês Kalopikês has still nothing to do with these terrorists. Especailly Mr. Ulrico Burgos and his death squads. We have never heard of them or did anything that could possibly prove we even had an idea of their existance. His capture and the news about him being a terrorist were a complete surprise to us. Please, continue to note that no organisation in Kalopia ever traded weapons to terrorists."

Reformations to combat corruption begin
November 2944

Latest elections gave Diktátor Apellas the green light to recommence reformations to combat the latest wave of everlasting corruption symptoms that have been tormenting the lands of Kalopia for quite a long time. In September 2944 the syndicate led by notoriously known Antónios Anthropophagus lost base when several politicians resigned from their posts and the KRC proceeded towards further internal party structural changes. "The next bills we propose will tell whether our party is corrupt and the degree of corruption", KRC spokesperson stated in a morning briefing the day after, "however, we are quite certain that we have won ground with these latest of structural changes within our political organization".

The Kalopian Regime Coalition, whole or at least part of it, has been leading Kalopian political life for a tremendous time, since basically a foggy period, so nobody can count the exact amount of time. Political analysts expect severe constitutional amendments being prepared to enter the table of the legislative assembly's negotiations. The Kingdom seems weak and apparently will not be able to last to the leftist alignment of extreme totalitarianism led by the prominent politician Diktátor Apellas.
